About Belkin

Belkin Review

Humanity, at least in first-world countries, runs on three essentials: coffee, phones, and wireless internet. There are coffee shops and Starbucks on every city corner these days, so the first necessity is covered. And while Belkin don’t produce phones and didn’t invent the internet, they have products that can improve both.

Belkin is an American company with some of the leading digital device accessories when it comes to convenience, effectiveness, and ease of use. With over 78k followers on Instagram and sales in countries across the globe, their vision seems to be appealing to plenty of folks

In this Belkin review, I will examine the company’s history, products, prices, and more to give you a proper idea of what to expect if you add one of their items to your wishlist.

Overview Of Belkin

Belkin Review

Dating back to 1983, Belkin has been instrumental in filling the gap between customers and their computers.

No, I don’t mean that they’re a computer-delivery service. Far from it, in fact. They develop accessories and peripherals that can make your life much easier when it comes to technology.

Chet Pipkin established Belkin while he was a student at UCLA to remedy a problem that he was predicting would become more prevalent as time lurched forward: computers have too many dang cables and people need a way to trim down those cables.

We’ve all heard the jokes about outlets being fire hazards if they have too many devices attached to them, and one could assume that Belkin has had a hand in keeping that as just a joke rather than a reality.

Pipkin started making computer cables out of his parent’s house and gained plenty of success with local computer shops. But, as you’ll notice throughout this Belkin review, Pipkin and his company didn’t stick with computer cables forever.

They adapted to meet market demands and saw the rise of smartphones and tablets in the 2000s, eventually developing products for those devices as well.

The majority of their products are geared towards mobile devices as that’s such a massive market these days. This shift attracted investors and corporate partners which led to Foxconn purchasing Belkin in 2018 for over $800m.

Today, Belkin’s products are available in over 50 countries though they’re still designed close to Pipkin’s home in Southern California. They’re designed to meet the real-world tasks and hurdles that people deal with, so you’ll find items with superior charging speeds, magnetic grips, and multiple outlets.

Even given all that, my Belkin review has barely scratched the surface of what makes this brand so reputable. Let’s get into some of their highlights to help you further understand why they’ve maintained such a strong position in today’s mobile-dominated marketplace.

Highlights

Belkin Review
  • Offers convenient accessories for mobile devices
  • Products are popular and easy to find
  • Customer-satisfaction guarantee
  • Hassle-free returns
  • Free ground shipping on all orders over $50

The litany of items you could grab on this brand’s website far exceeds the scope of this Belkin review. I’ll be telling you about some of the most distinctive products in Belkin’s library in just a second, but before that, you should know what other goodies they sell.

Belkin breaks down all their products into these categories:

  1. Speakers and headphones
  2. Smarthome appliances
  3. Chargers
  4. Surge protectors
  5. Screen protectors
  6. Cables
  7. Adapters
  8. Routers

There are other miscellaneous objects floating about Belkin’s grand library, but I figured you’d get the picture by now.

Belkin Charger Review

The first subsection of products I want to focus on is one of the most important items in today’s mobile-device-dependent climate. Of course, I’m talking about chargers, and Belkin chargers may be some of the finest on the market.

Belkin Boost Charge PRO 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand with MagSafe 15W Review

The first item I have to tell you about in my Belkin review is the Belkin Boost Charge PRO 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand with MagSafe 15W, if only because I can’t believe there aren’t more items like it.

It seems so obvious – most people use their phones as they charge and get tired of having to hold them in positions that are comfortable. This charger accomplishes both of those jobs.

The Belkin Boost Charge PRO 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand with MagSafe 15W uses magnets to keep your iPhone 12 hooked onto the stand. That way it shouldn’t fidget out of your grasp nor should alerts cause it to vibrate in a way that disrupts its connection to the charging cable.

This stand can also charge your AirPods while it’s charging your phone. That shouldn’t affect the speed at which it juices either because it uses a 15w charging cable, which is among the fastest in the industry.

If all that intrigues you then consider picking up this Belkin Magsafe product for $100.

Belkin Boost Charge PRO 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe Review

While the previous item I spoke about in this Belkin review provided a great balance between charging and ergonomics, the Belkin Boost Charge PRO 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe is all about efficiency. It’s probably the best way to charge multiple items at once.

This charging pad can charge your Apple Watches, iPhones 12 and 13, and AirPods all at once

Belkin claims that it charges each of these devices up to 33% faster than standard charging cables, so you’ll actually be accomplishing more at once than if you were to plug each gadget with its own charging cable.

On a separate note, you can’t argue with the sleek design of this Belkin 3-in-1 charger. It fits with Apple’s minimalist aesthetic, looking like it should be included with all of their purchases. You can add it to your cart for $150.

Belkin Router Review

The best routers should work so well that you forget you even have one while the worst ones tend to sit in your mind like an awkward interaction at the bar. Thankfully, I’m going to be focusing on the former in this segment of my Belkin review.

Belkin AX3200 WiFi 6 Router Review

If you’re trying to broadcast high-speed internet to as many devices as possible then the Belkin AX3200 WiFi 6 Router may be for you.

This router can accommodate up to 25 devices in a 2,000-square foot area while also handling speeds of up to 3.2gbps. If that’s too many numbers for you then look at it like this – the Belkin AX3200 WiFi 6 Router can put in work.

This router is also a cinch to set up because it uses a browser-based installation process so it should feel like second nature to most people.

Speaking of second nature, this item has dual-band streaming so that users can watch shows, game, listen to music, and more simultaneously, which can make your internet feel smooth and natural.

You can also customize the network that this Belkin router shares with features like parental controls and privacy settings. If that degree of control entices you then consider buying this router for $100.

Belkin RX7500 WiFi extender Review

Admittedly, the next item in my Belkin review isn’t technically a router, but it can be a fantastic tool to extend the reach and power of your current router. This appliance can work with routers from other distributors including those from your actual service provider.

The Belkin RX7500 WiFi extender can boost your wi-fi signal up to WiFi 6, which is considered the cutting-edge in wireless speed these days. It can handle up to 1.8gbps and lengthen your wi-fi’s coverage up to 2,000 square feet.

This product is available for $90, which is a reduction from its regular price of $130.

Belkin Car Vent Mount PRO with MagSafe Review

Uber drivers, those who frequently get tickets for texting at the wheel, and people who can’t figure out directions to save their lives can all rejoice; the Belkin Car Vent Mount PRO with MagSafe has the answers to your worries.

Of course, I’m being a bit sarcastic, but the last product in my Belkin review seems to be a step above most mobile device vehicle mounts.

It uses MagSafe technology to keep your phone tight and within your vision. Many car mounts lose their grip when you hit a bumpy road, but that doesn’t appear to be the case with the Belkin Car Vent Mount PRO with MagSafe.

What’s more, it has a hook around the back that you can latch your charging cable onto. That means you won’t have to fiddle around with locking mechanisms or adjustments to charge your iPhone 12.

You can buy the Belkin Car Vent Mount PRO with MagSafe for $40.

Who Is Belkin For?

Belkin Review

Belkin’s goods are for people who are tired of dealing with cords, cables, and confusion. The items I’ve spoken about today can save you from the endless headaches of phones that haven’t been charged all the way when you expected them to charge or from lagging wi-fi connections.

Belkin Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Belkin Review

I’ve made a list of all of the scores that customers gave the products in this Belkin review on the brand’s website. Some items, like the routers, did not have customer reviews, so I didn’t include them here.

However, I think the numbers paint a pretty solid image of what people think about Belkin:

  • Belkin Boost Charge PRO 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand with MagSafe 15W: 4.6/5 stars based on more than 230 ratings
  • Belkin Boost Charge PRO 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe: 4.0/5 stars based on more than 160 ratings
  • Belkin Car Vent Mount PRO with MagSafe: 3.7/5 stars based on more than 200 ratings

It’d be a crime if I only relied on that single resource to see how people felt about Belkin. With that in mind, I also consulted with a few other websites to see whether customer reception differed from what was reported on Belkin’s site. This is what I found.

  • Amazon: 4.5/5 stars based on more than 5,000 pieces of customer feedback on the Belkin Wireless Charging Pad 7.5W
  • Consumer Affairs: 3.8/5 stars based on more than 320 pieces of customer feedback
  • Best Buy: 3.9/5 stars based on more than 5 pieces of customer feedback on the Belkin – Home Base

As you can see, most Belkin reviews were positive regardless of where they came from. One of the most frequent compliments that popped up was that Belkin’s products were sturdy and durable. It didn’t matter if people were talking about charging cables, stands, or mounts; they were all described similarly.

Here’s an in-depth 5/5 stars customer review from Amazon that explains that point:

I was expecting a cord that was thin and “flimsy” like the original iPod cord. This cord is actually quite substantial and appears on first inspection to be able to handle quite a bit of abuse. I have it plugged in my truck where it will remain for its life.

Other reviews spoke to the efficiency of Belkin’s chargers. Customers claimed that they were speedy and convenient, such as this pleasant buyer on Amazon:

I have owned this 3-in-1 charger for 18 months now. It is by far the best charger I have ever owned. It has no trouble charging my phone, watch and AirPods all at the same time… This charger has continued to work as well as it did when it was brand new and never faltered. Definitely worth the little bit of extra money spent.

There were plenty of Belkin reviews that said that the products justified their price tag for their reliability. That’s exactly what one customer explains in their 5/5 stars review of the Belkin Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe:

“Don’t waste your time like I did on all the knockoffs for a fraction of the price offered online. They look and feel the same, but the electronics inside are absolutely hit and miss. Just pay for the quality of Belkin and you won’t have to worry every morning if your device actually charged or not (I had to return two previous knockoffs).

The company wasn’t totally flawless as there were some reports of unsatisfactory customer service.

However, you have to consider that Belkin is a huge company and as such, they cannot ensure that every customer interaction is 100% positive. As such, I’d say that the positive customer reception more than makes up for these negative reviews.

Is Belkin Worth It?

Belkin Review

Although you are going to be paying slightly more than you would for other similar items, I think that the goods in this Belkin review are worth it

It’s annoying to have to replace your chargers every few months so you might as well invest your money into a product that you know will last.

Belkin Promotions & Discounts

Belkin Review

There’s a for-sale section on Belkin’s website that holds great discounts on some of the brand’s best products.

For example, you can grab the Belkin BOOST↑UP™ Wireless Charging Dock: Wireless Charging Pad + Apple Watch Dock (Certified Refurbished) for only $70, which is astounding when you consider that it normally costs $160.

Additionally, Belkin is currently holding a sale on their Wemo products. You can save 20% off of any Wemo products with the code WAS20 at the product check-out page.
