About Blissy Pillowcase
My hair is many things, but silky, frizz-free, and shiny are not among them. It turns out hair damage can be caused by more than just heat styling, and so I swiftly turned my attention to my pillow.
Blissy makes 100% Mulberry Silk pillowcases to help negate hair and skin damage. The line is mostly made up of silk pillowcases, but includes other silk accessories as well like sleep masks, face masks, and hair scrunchies.
I found the brand featured in Glamour, Essence, Shape, and Makeup.com and that it’s loved by “supermodels, hairstylists, beauty experts, and dermatologists” around the world. Plus, Blissy has social community of 330k, so I started to feel like there’s something special going on here.
What is it exactly? I aim to find out in this Blissy pillowcase review. I’ll take a look at some of its best-sellers, feedback, deals, and more to give you the full scoop.
Overview of Blissy Pillowcase
When Vahe Haroutounian and Edgar Babayan founded Blissy Pillowcase in 2017, they dreamed of a better way to sleep after growing tired of waking up to bad hair, bad skin, and allergies. On top of that, they realized that traditional pillowcases are loaded with dust mites.
Armed with that alarming knowledge, they developed the Blissy pillowcase to give them, and many others, a more peaceful way to sleep.
Blissy’s mission is to “produce the absolute best silk pillowcase you can buy”. I think that says a lot about the quality of its products but also about the folks who make them. Blissy is located in Burbank, CA, where they continue to manufacture their products and improve sleep for many.
Next in this Blissy Pillowcase review, I’ll walk you through the pros and cons of the brand:
- Handcrafted & hypoallergenic
- Made from the highest quality silk available
- Good for your skin & hair
- Many positive customer reviews
- Discount codes available
- Installment payment options
- Offers free returns on some orders
- Some customers find the pillowcases too slippery
- Premium prices
Blissy pillowcase is all about the optimal sleep experience because the brand knows how important sleep is to all of us. Their products are designed to help you to have the best sleep possible and include pillowcases, sleep masks, scrunchies, and sleep mists, alongside sets that combine items as well.
The only material they use is 100% Pure Mulberry Silk, which just so happens to be good for your skin and hair. Because the material is kind on skin, they’ve also created face masks, a gentler alternative to DIY cloth masks.
If you’re thinking the finest silk sounds like a luxury you’ve just gotta have, Blissy offers installment payments, rather than lump sums, on select products through Quadpay. Now, let’s get into what you really came to this Blissy review for: their dreamy best-sellers.
Blissy Silk Pillowcase Review
When I heard silk pillowcases have been proven to protect your skin and hair, it wasn’t hard to understand why. With a soft, slippery material, they cause less breakage and won’t pull on your skin through the night.
Silk pillowcases have also been shown to help you sleep better. How? Because they’re hypoallergenic, you may find you wake up less and experience less congestion through the night. Dust mites are a pain.
The Blissy Silk Pillowcase is made from 22-Momme (a weight measurement) 100% Pure Mulberry Silk, which I learned is the highest quality silk available. The silkworms are fed only Mulberry leaves, and in result, they make one of the finest silks on the planet.
Sounds delicate, right? Blissy pillowcases have undergone extensive testing to ensure they’re durable and that they do what they claim to.
The Blissy Silk Pillowcase comes in 19 colors, including my personal favorites: matcha, plum, and tie dye. Aside from looking great, they’re also made well. I appreciate that they’re Oeko-Tex® certified: which means they are safe, eco-friendly, and non-toxic. They come in the following sizes:
- Standard: $63 from $90
- Queen: $75 from $100
- King: $83 from $110
Blissy Scrunchies Review
These super cute Blissy Scrunchies bring the 90’s back in a sophisticated, modern way. Scrunchies are all the rage now, and while they’re supposed to be gentle on your hair, I’ve pulled out a few hairs in the process before. I like that these ones just slip right off.
You can wear them during the day, but I think they’re also great if you like to tie your hair up at night, but don’t want to damage it.
These scrunchies will secure your hair, but minimize damage and breakage, and slide off with ease. Blissy Scrunchies come in a 3-pack, with Gold, Pink, and Black, and are made from the same 100% Pure Mulberry Silk as their pillowcases.
The 3-pack of Blissy Scrunchies are $38, normally $50.
Blissy Sleep Mask Review
It’s no secret that we get a better and more sound sleep when it’s completely dark. I used to sleep with the TV, but now, I can’t have any light in my room whatsoever.
The Blissy Sleep Mask works wonders for that afternoon nap or a snooze on a long flight, but also helps to eliminate light from street lamps or alarm clocks that shine through the night.
Handcrafted from 100% Pure Mulberry Silk, the Blissy Sleep Mask feels good on your face and has a cooling effect, which helps you sleep better. Since I’m a hot sleeper, I’ll take all the cooling I can get. The material is again, great for your skin and hypoallergenic.
Blissy has a ton of different and luxurious, classy colors to choose from including lavender, gold, rose gold, and champagne. There are 18 color options in total, so I think you’ll find one that fits your style.
A silk carrying case is included with your mask so you can take it with you anywhere. I would definitely take mine on vacation. The Blissy Sleep Mask is now $38, discounted from $50.
Blissy Face Mask Review
Possibly the best selling point of the Blissy Face Mask is that it doesn’t cause acne. Though I’m thankful I didn’t have to wear one for work when they were required, I know some who have and had “maskne” because of it.
Breakouts around the mouth and face are common with other types of masks, but since Blissy’s are 100% Pure Mulberry Silk, they are hypoallergenic and are extremely gentle on your face.
These face masks are handcrafted with care, adjustable, machine washable, and most importantly— breathable. I’ll note here in my Blissy review that these face masks provide the same protection that a DIY cloth face mask does; they are not medical grade.
I think these are incredibly classy looking, great to wear when you want to dress up. The Blissy Face Mask comes in Silver, Pink, Black, and Tie Dye, and is currently $15 discounted from $25.
Blissy Dream Set Review
Everything you need to have the perfect night’s sleep – or afternoon nap, whichever you prefer! I’m not much of a napper, but I’d certainly look forward to crashing with these babes at night.
The Blissy Dream Set allows you to rest easy knowing your hair and skin are protected while you sleep. This dreamy set includes:
- 1 Blissy silk pillowcase
- 1 sleep mask
- 1 scrunchie
- 1 skinny scrunchie
All of these products are made from 22-Momme 100% Pure 6A Grade Mulberry Silk and are Oeko-Tex® certified. This makes them safe, eco-friendly, and non-toxic, machine washable, and are all-natural and hypoallergenic. What a mouthful, but I think points like these are worth stressing again.
For information on how to care for and wash your Blissy products, read the FAQ further down in this Blissy review.
The Dream Set comes either White, Pink, Silver, or Black, and in three sizes and all are currently on sale. Yessss.

Blissy Sleep & Pillow Mist Review
On nights I have trouble sleeping, I try to create as calm of an environment as possible. The Sleep & Pillow Mist would be a welcome addition to my current routine.
It works to relax and soothe you to help you sleep better. It’s great for those who have trouble falling asleep or just those who want to feel ultra-relaxed. The lavender and eucalyptus scent works wonders for reducing stress and creating calm, while also aiding as a nasal decongestant for easy breathing through the night.
I love how simple the ingredient list is too. This mist is a blend of 100% Lavender and Eucalyptus essential oils so you can rest knowing there are no synthetic fragrances or dyes in your home.
To use, spray high in the air to create a clean, spa-like environment. Just lay down and breathe in. Spray again if desired. One of the most important tips in this Blissy review: you should not spray your Blissy pillow directly with this mist, as it can cause staining.
Blissy Sleep & Pillow Mist is currently $30, discounted from $36.
Blissy Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Since I’m serious about choosing products that will really help me (and aren’t a waste of money), it’s critical that I look at customer feedback. I hit up the brand’s website first. Here’s a look at the ratings for some of its best-sellers:
- Sleep & Pillow Mist: 4.9/5 stars, 614 reviews
- Blissy Dream Set Pink: 5/5 stars, 315 reviews
- Silk Face Mask: 5/5 stars, 2,455 reviews
- Blissy Scrunchies: 5/5 stars, 454 reviews
- Pillowcase White Standard: 5/5 stars, 13,708 reviews
One Blissy pillowcase review read, “I am absolutely delighted with my pillowcase. I normally wake up with my hair knotted looking like I had been pulled through a hedge backwards. Not anymore, hair looks shiny and untangled, no pillow creases on my face and super lovely to sleep on.”
It sounds like Blissy pillowcases really do what they say they do, but let’s look at another comment. Mentioning their worth, another Blissy reviewer states:
“I’ve never spent this much on a pillowcase, but let me honestly say…it’s well worth it! …Since sleeping on my bliss’s, every morning my hair is soft and I can run my fingers thru it! I love how it feels on my skin especially knowing I’m preventing wrinkles as I sleep. You won’t be disappointed…I want everything Blissy now!”
Turning to Trustpilot for more information, I saw a 4.3/5 star score from 1,399 shoppers. Here’s how it breaks down:
- Excellent: 72%
- Great: 1%
- Average: 1%
- Poor: 2%
- Bad: 24%
There were tons of positive reviews here, but here’s one Blissy pillowcase review I think sums up customer experience:
“I love love love my pillowcases. I have 4 of them (I sleep in a pillow fort!) and they are wonderful. Prompt shipping of all of them. Thoughtful and kind customer service. I highly recommend.”
Customers say that the pillowcases hold up in the wash too, which is something I was personally worried about. I feel like I have a good grasp of Blissy, but I checked out the Blissy Pillowcase Amazon page to be sure. There, ratings weren’t as high as the others I came across.
Common negative reviews speak of problems with customer service, shipping, and delivery times. Some mention breakouts.
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows for Blissy, but it seems like the majority of shoppers enjoy their products.
Is Blissy Pillowcase Worth It?
While snooping around for this Blissy review, I found a few negative comments but also a lot of positive ones. All things considered, it certainly does sound like the brand’s pillowcases do what they claim to, but I know that experiences will always vary.
Blissy isn’t the most affordable brand either, but it wouldn’t be. Its products are made with a crazy high quality of silk. If you’re looking for cheap pillowcases, you won’t find them here. What you’ll get is hypoallergenic, natural, and bug resistant luxury products.
So, is Blissy any good? Well, their products are made with extremely high-quality silk, so in terms of price, you get what you pay for. I know that’s a commonly used phrase, but it rings true here.
Are they worth it? If you’re looking for a silk pillowcase, I would recommend this one. The brand often offers sales (like the one on right now) and buying bundles cuts down the price further. Beautiful, effective, and well-made, this brand is a forerunner in the silk pillowcase game.
