About Farmacy Beauty

Farmacy Beauty Review

Farmacy Beauty is a “farm-to-face” skin care brand that takes a sustainable, cruelty free and clean approach towards their beauty products. Sourcing ingredients from small organic farms based in New York, Pennsylvania and Northern Brazil, Farmacy Beauty creates non-toxic skin care formulas that can be used by both men and women.

The skincare brand has won awards for several of their products, including the Allure Best of Beauty Award in 2017 for the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm, and again in 2019 for the Farmacy Freshen Up All Natural Deodorant

In response to high demand for clean skincare, and within a year of its founding, Farmacy was introduced to Sephora’s collection and now has over 470K followers on Instagram. As a company that is known for giving back to the community, they were featured on Forbes earlier this year for their donations to FEED AMERICA in March and to Color of Change in May.

This Farmacy Beauty review will examine the brand, its skincare best sellers, and what customers think, to give you decide if their products are actually worth the buy.

Overview of Farmacy Beauty

Farmacy Beauty Review

Farmacy Beauty was founded in 2014 by PR guru Mark Veeder. Although Veeder didn’t have a formal background in skincare, his passion for it mixed with a love of gardening ultimately led him to team up with farming expert Robert Beyfuss. Veeder’s idea for his clean skincare company came when he happened upon a new genus of the Echinacea plant that, when examined, was found to be packed with tons of antioxidants.

Farmacy Beauty’s headquarters are in New York City, but the company sources its ingredients from small organic farms on the outskirts of New York, in Pennsylvania, and Northern Brazil. To put Farmacy Beauty’s values in their own words:

We believe it’s our duty to make sustainable choices. We believe in cruelty-free products. With every step, we are rooting for our people and our planet.

Farmacy Beauty goes by Clean Commandments, creating eco-friendly products free of parabens, formaldehyde, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, and animal testing

Farmacy Beauty Review

Veeder’s company certainly has admirable values, but this Farmacy Beauty review will take a more in depth look to see if their products can really go the distance.

  • Eco-friendly products free of cruelty, parabens, phthalates, and other harmful substances
  • Lightweight, non-greasy formulas
  • Compatible with all skin types
  • Competitive pricing (more expensive compared to drugstore products, but average for premium skincare)
  • Supports small organic farmers
  • Gives back to the community

  • Contains honey, meaning it’s not vegan
  • Certain products have been said not deliver on all of their claims
  • Some products contain ingredients that may irritate sensitive skin
  • Products packaged in jars, increasing the chance of receiving compromised ingredients/vitamins
  • Currently does not ship internationally

This Farmacy Beauty review will give you an overview of Farmacy Beauty’s best selling products from their cleansers and exfoliators to their creams and balms. If you’re looking for a company you can feel good about (inside and out), keep reading this Farmacy skincare review to find out more.

Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Night Serum

Farmacy Beauty Review
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Night Serum

Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Night Serum is a 3-in-1 hydrating honey night serum that, when applied 2-3 times weekly, provides a youthful, refreshed glow to all skin types. AHA resurfaces skin by promoting cell renewal as well as reducing hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles. BHA from the salicylic acid naturally found in willow bark reduces the size of pores, and hibiscus extract gently exfoliates to clarify skin

What’s great about this product is its proven results. In a 6 week consumer panel test of women aged 25-60 over 90% reported hydrated, soft, supple skin and experiencing skin that felt renewed, retextured and smooth

Browsing through the many (966 to be exact) reviews on the website, it appears to this Farmacy Beauty Review that almost everyone who uses this product loves it and recommends it. The Honeymoon Glow Night Serum costs $58 for a 30 ml/1 fl. oz bottle. The only downside is that it increases skin’s sensitivity to the sun, so sunburn is more likely while using this product

Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm

Farmacy Beauty Review
Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm

Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm is an award winning, best selling makeup remover and face cleanser. Powerful yet gentle ingredients like sunflower and ginger root oils remove even the heaviest of makeup easily without stripping or drying out skin

This Farmacy Beauty review freely admits that the delicious smell of a product can often get us hooked (sometimes so much that we can’t stop opening the bottle!). This Farmacy cleansing balm smells like “a vacation”. Combining scents like zesty lemon, bright orange and sunny bergamot, these Farmacy daily exfoliating greens will leave skin hydrated, smooth and exhilarated

The Green Clean Cleansing Balm is available in 100 ml/3.4 fl. oz for $34 and 50 ml/1.7 fl. oz for $22.

Farmacy Daily Greens Gel Moisturizer

Farmacy Beauty Review
Farmacy Daily Greens Gel Moisturizer

The Daily Greens Gel Moisturizer feeds skin with its daily dose of greens including kale, cucumber and eucalyptus. Plant eaters can rejoice because this moisturizer is completely vegan, and like all Farmacy products, is cruelty free. It’s also free of oil and silicone, which means it has a lightweight, airy feel to it.

This Farmacy hydrating gel contains a blend of phytonutrients from feel-good plants like moringa, papaya and willow herb that helps to reduce shine and clean pores. Though it’s compatible with all skin types, this product is particularly useful for combination and oily skin. The Daily Greens Gel Moisturizer comes in a 50 ml/1.7 fl. oz container for $38.

Farmacy Cheer Up Eye Cream

Farmacy Beauty Review
Farmacy Cheer Up Eye Cream

Farmacy Cheer Up Eye Cream is another one of the brand’s delicious-smelling products with a luxurious feel. A blend of Vitamin C, natural peptides, and caffeine visibly firms and reduces the appearance of fine lines around your eyes. The cream derives its heavenly smell from acerola cherry. Yum.

Farmacy Beauty Review
Farmacy Cheer Up Eye Cream

This Farmacy eye cream is great if—like so many of us on this planet—you had a couple late nights in a row. Say goodbye to annoying (but I’m sure good-hearted) coworkers asking, “you look tired, what’s wrong?” This cream also reduces the appearance of dark circles. For extra radiance, use the Cheer Up Eye Cream in the morning and at night. This eye rejuvenator costs $45, available in 15 ml/0.5 fl. oz.

Farmacy Honey Savior Repair Salve

Farmacy Beauty Review
Farmacy Honey Savior Repair Salve

This Farmacy Beauty review loves a good all-in-one product! Dry Hands? Cracked Lips? Flyaway hair? Tough elbows? Sunburnt cheeks? Farmacy Honey Savior Repair Salve tackles them all and comes in the perfect sized tube to throw in your purse, or keep in your pocket.

Honey is truly a miracle product and we’d just like to take a second here to thank the bees for their hard work! With so many of its amazing properties like antimicrobial, and antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, honey does wonders for your skin. This Farmacy Honey Savior Repair Salve combines 132 nutrients (!!!), revitalizes skin, and nourishes just about everything it touches.

The Honey Savior Repair Salve is available in two compact sizes, 46 g/1.6 oz for $34 or 15 g/.53 oz for $12. The only concern here is that you may want to use it for so many applications, that the salve will run out before you know it.

Farmacy Deep Sweep Toner

Farmacy Beauty Review
Farmacy Deep Sweep Toner

Often, toner gets left in the dust, but is so important especially if you have oily skin. 2% BHA gently exfoliates and removes excess oil while moringa purifies skin. For all the green-product lovers out there, the Deep Sweep Toner toner uses chlorella which is rich in antioxidants to nourish and smooth skin

Oh and speaking of loving green, Farmacy encourages the use of upcycling and this jar makes a perfect mini vase for other green things and flowers. This alcohol-free toner is available in a 120 ml/4 fl. oz size for $28.

Farmacy Skin Care Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Farmacy Beauty Review

We’ll start with the ugly in this Farmacy Beauty review: The BBB (Better Business Bureau) gives Farmacy Beauty a D- rating due to 4 formal complaints, one of which was serious and wasn’t dealt with. Complaints on the BBB were regarding either a resolved shipping/customer service problem or a product issue, which involved a customer experiencing severe skin irritation (this was unresolved).

This Farmacy Beauty review also found a review website, beautypedia, which expresses concerns with the formulations of certain Farmacy products that may lead to irritation on sensitive skin. The website also questions the effectiveness of products that are packaged in jars, due to certain vitamins damaged by the introduction of air and light once the jar is opened. However, this same website lists tons of praise for each Farmacy Beauty product, reporting that most of the claims made by the company are met by matching results

Almost every Farmacy skincare review found on their website explodes with positivity and excitement. The brand’s best selling products have hundreds of 5-star ratings. Reviews that feature customer’s pictures show fresh looking, beautiful skin that makes this Farmacy Beauty review say, “WOW”.

Is Farmacy Beauty Worth It?

Farmacy Beauty Review

This Farmacy Beauty review discovered a lot of positives on the brand. From its eco-conscious and cruelty-free mission, to its carefully sourced and formulated products, to its desire to give back. While the skincare line is more expensive compared to drugstore brands, the pricing is fairly average for premium beauty products.

Taking into consideration the abundance of positive reviews and pictures on the website, numerous awards and glowing feedback from other websites and media outlets, you’ll likely have a good experience with Farmacy products. The caveat concerns the skin irritants found in some of their products.

Despite Farmacy Beauty’s claim that their product is for all skin types, it appears that it may not be suitable for ultra sensitive skin. And while some may experience the promised effect, not all who use the product experience the same results, something this Farmacy Beauty Review must take into account.

So, is Farmacy a good brand? This Farmacy Beauty review thinks so, and it’s definitely worth the try, but, If you do have sensitive skin, avoid products that contain fragrances (like lemon, orange and eucalyptus).

Farmacy Beauty Review

Is Farmacy vegan?

Farmacy Beauty has a line of products that incorporates purified honey into their formulation. It should be noted that they approach their bee farming with the utmost care, ensuring to take only the excess honey, leaving the bees what they would need to eat to normally survive. Farmacy Beauty also has several products that do not incorporate honey and are completely vegan.

Is Farmacy all natural?

While this Farmacy Beauty review can’t say for certain if the brand is “all natural”, we know that they formulate with only “safe, skin-nourishing ingredients… banning those that may harm your skin (1,300+ banned ingredients and counting!)” and “choose only non-GMO ingredients”.

Are Farmacy products cruelty free?

Farmacy Beauty is proud to proclaim that they never test on animals at any stage of the “farm-to-face” process. Neither do they ask third parties to conduct animal testing on our behalf. They also require that all raw ingredient suppliers conform to the EU animal testing ban.

Is Farmacy safe for pregnancy?

All Farmacy Beauty products are put to the test and are generally regarded as safe for use during pregnancy. But, as always, it’s best to consult your doctor before trying anything new.

How long does Farmacy take to ship?

Farmacy Beauty ships within the US and Puerto Rico, with no international options available at the moment. Standard shipping is free on orders that are $40 or more, before taxes and after any discounts or promotions have been applied. If your order is under $40, there is a $5 delivery fee for standard shipping. Farmacy deliveries usually take between 2-6 business days, while orders placed during busier times may take longer to process.

If you would like expedited shipping within the US, Farmacy Beauty offers a 2-day shipping option for $15. However, they cannot ship expedited orders to military addresses or P.O boxes. Note that the 2-day expedited shipping guarantee starts when the order leaves their warehouse, not from when you make the order.

Once you place an order, Farmacy will send a shipping confirmation via email that includes a tracking number. You can use the included link to check the most up to date status of your delivery.

What is Farmacy Beauty’s Return Policy?

Farmacy returns are as clean and straightforward as their products. If ordered through their website, they guarantee 100% satisfaction on all orders. If not completely happy with your Farmacy Beauty order, you can return new or gently used items for a refund or exchange within 30 days of receiving the order. For all returns and to cancel a product auto-ship, send an email to [email protected].

For Domestic US orders, return shipping is free. Once you email customer care regarding your return, a representative will email you a prepaid return label. Once Farmacy receives your items, allow 7–10 business days for your refund to process. To receive a refund for kits, gift sets, and duos, you must return all of the items that were originally included. At the moment, Farmacy Beauty is not able to offer exchanges.

If you purchased a Farmacy Beauty product from another retailer, refer to their return policy.

This Wantable style subscription review will objectively look at the brand, their unique offerings and selling points, customer reviews, and more, to give you an overall sense of their products and services to decide if it’s really worth subscribing.

Overview of Wantable

Wantable Style Subscription Review

Jalem M. Getz founded Wantable in 2012, with the mission to create a clothing and accessory service that takes the wants and needs of its customers to heart. Getz calls Wantable the “ for products”, comparing the company to that of a matchmaking service. Wantable’s headquarters are in Milwaukee, US, and the brand employs around 140 professionals.

Their experienced stylists pick the most wantable clothing, including well known brands such as Kensie, Hudson, and Melissa McCarthy as well as their own clothing line. This Wantable style subscription review is summed up by these pros and cons:

  • 20% discount when you buy 5/7 items in your box
  • Receive a $25 credit when signing up
  • Detailed body type and personal style questions to ensure you get your desired look and fit
  • Subscription is not required, instead several subscription schedules available
  • Free shipping and returns always
  • Only pay for what you love, easily send the rest back or exchange

  • Unable to see what is in your Wantable style edit before you receive it
  • There have been several negative reviews concerning customer service, which may be mostly due to their customer support hours of 8am-5pm
  • Because Wantable uses an automatic billing system, if any item you don’t want isn’t returned on time you will be charged for it
  • There is a $20 styling fee that wouldn’t ordinarily incur when shopping online
  • Does not ship to Canada

How Does Wantable Work?

Wantable Style Subscription Review

This Wantable style subscription review believes the company’s service is personalized, straightforward and cost effective.

  1. Take the Quiz. Choose which edit you’d like to receive: Women’s style, Women’s active or Men’s active and take the quiz.
  2. Visit the Stream. Head to the stream to view the latest arrivals and add the ones you love to your edit. Or leave it up to their expert stylists.
  3. Order Delivery. Your items are picked based on your unique needs so there is a $20 styling fee. Your edit is then shipped for free.
  4. Try Before You Buy. Upon arrival you have 5 days to try on what’s inside.
  5. Keep What You Love, Return What You Don’t. Return or exchange for no extra fee. You only pay for what you keep. Whatever you do keep, the $20 styling fee is credited back and applied to your order – and if you keep 5 or more items in your box, you receive 20% off.
Wantable Style Subscription Review

This Wantable style subscription review has found there are four subscription options available: Ongoing (your next order is shipped once the previous one is closed), Every Month, Every 2 Months, or Every 3 Months. But, you also have the option not to subscribe and can even purchase “unboxed items” individually.

Wantable Style Edit

Wantable Style Subscription Review
Wantable Women’s Style Edit

First impression of the Women’s Style Edit in this Wantable style subscription review? The quiz is extremely thorough, including questions on how often you purchase clothes considered to be Trendy, Business, Casual or Date Night as well as how you feel about styles such as Classic, Glam, Rock, Boho and Casual Chic. Based on the clothes presented in each of those categories, I’m definitely excited to see what outfits they will curate for me.

Inside your Women’s Style Edit you’ll find 7 items, curated by style experts and handpicked to suit your unique taste. These items include clothing, accessories and jewelry. Inside the box you’ll also find advice from your personal stylist on how to properly wear and accessorize these items to flatter your body and make you feel confident

Wantable Active Edit

Wantable Style Subscription Review
Wantable Women’s Active Edit

This Wantable style subscription review was impressed with the entire ordering process for the Women’s Active Edit You are given a scale to rate your item preferences – things you want to receive in your subscription box, like wantable intimates or sports bras.

You’re also asked to rate on a scale of frequency the types of activities you do – even if it’s mostly lounging. Because let’s be real here, the concept of “athleisure” wasn’t born from “activewear” without good reason.

In your Women’s Active Edit you can receive an assortment of items from socks to leggings, in bright or muted colors, depending on your color preferences. The curated outfits are nothing short of those Instagram outfits coveted by many.

Wantable Men’s Active Edit

Wantable Style Subscription Review
Wantable Men’s Active Edit

From performance to loungewear, this Wantable style edit delivers high quality activewear in current patterns and styles. What this Wantable style subscription review finds is great about the Men’s Active Edit is the variation in products available. From sports gear to couch cozies, Wantable outfits men in sizes S-XXL that will fuel their self confidence and help them try a new trend.

I’ve never met a man who actually likes to shop. Of course this isn’t true for all men, but the extra plus is that for men who don’t like to shop, Wantable clothing is delivered right to their door, saving them a trip to the mall to do an activity they’d rather not. For those who do like to shop because they like looking good – Wantable is a great way to try new styles every month

How Much is Wantable?

  • Wantable prices are at their minimum $20 monthly for the styling fee of each curated box. However, the $20 gets credited back to you if you decide to keep any of the pieces in your chosen edit.
  • When taking the quiz for each edit, you’ll be asked to specify the price range in which you’d prefer your products. This typically ranges from $50-$100 per piece.

Wantable Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Wantable Style Subscription Review

This Wantable style subscription review browsed the Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint page, which yields various concerns from customers regarding the quality and price of their products as well as some who did not receive their order and were still charged for it. Wantable customer service handles every complaint on the page professionally, in most cases bending over backwards to make the customer happy. Wantable has an A+ BBB rating and it’s easy to see why.

This Wantable style subscription review was skeptical when it came to how men would receive the subscription box service, having added a Men’s Active Edit to their options in 2016. Reviews on and off the site report the Men’s Active Edit to have a good variety of pieces, to have been easy to order and to be of good quality for the price

The review site highya included reviews from a mixed bag of happy and unhappy customers. Some were pleased with the price and quality of the products and some believe you can find the same items for a better price at Walmart. One particular review made an excellent point, that each box comes with a $20 credit (the styling fee, credited back to you if you keep one item), which is quite the incentive to keep the subscription.

Is Wantable Worth It?

Wantable Style Subscription Review

We will be straightforward in this Wantable style subscription review. There are a ton of people who love this subscription box. But, there have been a few reviews complaining about the quality of the clothing as well as how returns and customer service is handled. However, in reading Wantable customer service replies to these reviews, the company is more than willing to work with the customer to adjust any incorrect or unfair charges.

Wantable also takes the pressure off by giving you a choice of subscription plans or the option to buy unboxed (single) items. It may not be worth buying unboxed items from Wantable unless they are part of the Wantable clothing line. Big brands like Cupcakes & Cashmere (a brand Wantable includes in their boxes) may be better if bought off the brand’s website.

In terms of risk, Wantable’s subscription service comes in low on the chart. Because of the $25 credit Wantable gives you for signing up, your first order’s styling fee is covered. This Wantable style subscription review feels that technically, if you don’t like anything you receive in your edit, you can return all the items for free and will have tried the service 100% free of cost. On top of that, cancelling a subscription can be done at any time without a penalty. With all this in mind, we’d say Wantable is definitely worth giving a try

Wantable Promotions & Discounts

Wantable Style Subscription Review

For this Wantable subscription review, I hunted the website for deals and incentives: Here’s what I came up with:

  • Wantable gives you $25 for simply signing up. This more than covers the styling fee for your first box.
  • Wantable also gives 20% off your total order when you keep 5/7 items in your edit.

Keep checking their website and social media for a Wantable coupon.
