Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

Zendure helps to make energy accessible with its line of award-winning power stations. Lightweight, compact, and affordable, the SuperBase Pro 2000 is the perfect companion on camping trips and brings peace of mind in outages.

While Zendure offers 3 different portable power stations, I’ll be reviewing the SuperBase Pro 2000 here. What makes it different from others on the market? Ask notable publications like The Gadgeteer and ElecTrek or the brand’s social community of 73k, and they’ll tell you how tech-forward and user-friendly it is—not to mention that it’s the fastest solar charging power station on the market.

I’ve packed this Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 review full of details about our featured power station to help you get to know it better too. Including feedback and FAQ, by the end, you’ll discover if it’s right for your needs—on or off the grid.

Overview Of Zendure

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

Zendure got its start in 2013 when Bryan Liu launched the brand on Kickstarter. One of the fastest-growing Clean Energy Tech start-ups in Silicon Valley, California, it also has offices in the Greater Bay Area in China and Japan.

So why power solutions? Liu spent the first 8 years of his life in a rural area of China that didn’t have electricity. When his village finally did get power, he saw how much safer life could be.

His aim is “to democratize the latest EnergyTech to deliver clean and affordable electricity via devices and services suitable for on-grid and off-grid living.” I’ll dive into the details of the SuperBase Pro 2000 soon in this Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 review, for now, let’s take a look at its highlights.

Highlights

  • 2000W AC Output
  • Recharge to 80% in 1 hour
  • Built-in 4G IoT
  • 2,096 Wh capacity
  • For living on and off the grid
  • Ships internationally
  • Free standard shipping
  • 2-year warranty

Zendure has a total of 3 power stations ranging from 1000W to 3,600W, but here, I’ll be focusing all of my attention on the SuperBase Pro 2000. Compatible with solar panels and fast-charging, this versatile unit comes in handy for camping, power outages, and so much more.

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

With an AC output of 2000 watts, the compact and lightweight SuperBase Pro 2000 is a functional little power station that is perfect for outdoor and indoor use. I’ll tell you all about what the station is like to use, along with details on its design, features, and performance.

Compared to other power stations on the market, the SuperBase Pro 2000 is quieter, smaller, lighter, and charges faster, and ahead, I’ll show exactly what you can do with this nifty device. First, let’s check out what comes in the box.

What’s Inside The Box?

The first thing I think is worth mentioning is the box the SuperBase Pro 2000 comes in. I was pretty impressed with its side handles, which make it much easier to move around.

Opening up the box, inside, everything is packaged very well, with styrofoam on the top, sides, and bottom. After lifting the power station out of the box, you’ll find a case nestled in the bottom piece of foam that contains all of the necessary cords, pieces, and manuals you need to use the unit.

That’s everything that comes in your SuperBase Pro 2000 box, so let’s move on to its design and features.

Design And Features

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

The SuperBase Pro 2000 is a sleek, compact unit in a dark silver tone with curved edges and a large clear intelligent display screen on the front. One side is dedicated to input (AC and DC), grounding, and overload protection, while the other has a car outlet and 6 AC outputs arranged at different angles.

This little detail may not seem like much, but it makes a big difference when you’re using all 6 plugs at the same time as you might do in an emergency outage. The front of the unit has two 100W USB-C outputs and two 20W USB-C outputs. There are also three 135W DC outputs.

The other detail I loved was the hardy wheels that look like they can handle rough terrain. Equipped with a long, extendable handle, the SuperBase Pro 2000 is easily wheeled along the ground. Any time you want to carry it, just use the aluminum handle on the top of the unit.

Performance

It takes about an hour for your SuperBase Pro 2000 to reach an 80% charge when plugged into rooftop solar panels and 2 hours for it to reach a full charge. In fact, the SuperBase Pro 2000 has the fastest solar recharge rate available today—a speedy 1.5 hours—when using a rooftop solar panel 1800w AC plus a 600x solar panel DC to XT60 input simultaneously.

When charged, the SuperBase Pro 2000 offers 2000w of AC output and an ampup capability of 3000w. Here are some examples of what the unit can power up:

  • Blender for 2 hours
  • 166 smart phone recharges
  • 265 camera recharges
  • 215 drone recharges
  • Microwave for 2.2 hours
  • Fridge for 22 hours
  • TV for 28 hours

Equipped with Li NMC batteries and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), you can plug your electronics into the SuperBase Pro 2000 to ensure you don’t lose power on your most essential devices. And if you didn’t get the impression the power station is easy to manage, perhaps this will help.

Super Base Pro has built-in GPS and 4G IoT hardware, meaning that you can stay in control of your power station even if it’s not physically with you. IoT will let you check the location, the output power, and the remaining charge, and you’ll manage all of this from the Zendure app.

I also thought it was pretty cool that the SuperBase Pro also has something called the ZenForest which measures the carbon emissions you save when using green energy (ie. solar). The more carbon emissions you reduce, the more trees it will plant around the globe through an organization called One Tree Planted.

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Price

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

The SuperBase Pro 2000 offers a high wattage output, advanced features, and a smart design, so its regular price of $2,299 makes a lot of sense. But here’s the cool part, it’s actually $1,599 right now— $400 off.

Who Is The Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 For?

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

The Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 is marketed towards the eco-conscious, offering solar charging options for those on and off the grid. Designed for those looking for something more tech-forward, compact, and quiet than gas-powered generators, this super-power station can fuel your essentials and so much more.

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

This Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 review wouldn’t be complete without customer feedback, so in this section, I’ll show you what I found after a search for some of the most helpful. The first we’ll look at comes from the brand’s website.

The SuperBase Pro 2000 was awarded 5/5 stars by 11 shoppers on Zendure.com. One Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 review read:

Have been on the road high altitudes with my pro 2,000. So far running like a champ. Charging IPhone 12, running my 24” T.V. Even loaded up my Xbox One for Elden Ring. My Laptop charges great. So far no issues…Really happy with the product.

Since all who reviewed the SuperBase Pro gave it 5/5 stars, it’s clear that it works as stated and is enjoyed. Another Zendure SuperBase Pro review on the brand’s site read:

The SBP 2000 appears to be sturdy in design, and has operated flawlessly so far. It charges in about 2:45 plugged in to AC presuming it is kept in cooler temps…It operated a standard modern refrigerator for approx 9hr. I did plug my RV into it, and it will operate virtually everything except the air conditioner, which was expected.

The above customer also said they enjoyed the ability to watch the unit charge via solar panels in real time, meaning they could get a better idea of when it would be ready to use. Features like this make a big difference—especially when you’re on the trail or during a power outage.

On GeekBuying.com, the SuperBase Pro 2000 was rated 4.9/5 stars by 8 buyers, one writing, “Very sturdy secure packaging and comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. The SuperBase Pro covers all my power needs. From powering my campground to powering my Neo Geo. I use the SuperBase Pro to power my campground so I can run my air fryer, lights, projector and small gaming rig.

The last Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 review I’ll include comes from TrustPilot.  There, the brand has an overall score of 4.7/5 stars awarded by 136 customers. 80% gave them 5/5 stars

Of the SuperBase Pro 2000 specifically, one wrote, “The 2 units have now arrived in Switzerland and are already in use. They work very well. Setup of the app access was easy. Build quality looks very promising. Let’s hope I can benefit from these 2 large solar generators for some time.

From the feedback I found for this part of my Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 review, it’s clear that not only is the brand loved for its user-friendly, tech-forward power stations, but for their great customer service as well. I didn’t run into many negatives. Period.

Is the Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Worth It?

Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 Review

Power loss is something that has affected me personally all of my life. Growing up in a place that experiences power outages at least once a year, I always envied the families who got smart and bought a generator—you could tell who they were because traditional gas generators are incredibly noisy.

The Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 power station is compact and efficient, quiet, and can be recharged instead of re-fueled. This means fewer emissions, and because it can be equipped with solar panels, in an outage, on the road, or on the trail, you can recharge your unit in the sun.

As a popular brand known for its powerful units, customers seem to choose these power stations over others. And after considering everything I included in this Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000 review, it’s easy to understand why.
