About Nest Bedding

Nest Bedding Review

Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most coveted luxuries. One of the leading causes of poor sleep? Discomfort.

So why are so many of us rolling around on lumpy beds, unsupportive pillows, and sweat-inducing sheets? Probably because replacing them is expensive, difficult, and frustrating.

So, here’s something cool: Nest Bedding isn’t any of those things. Offering mattresses, bedding, and furniture, all of its products are decorated with safety certifications, awards, and comments from noteworthy publications like Forbes and The New York Times. Oh, and it’s affordable too.

You don’t have to take our word for it. The brand’s Facebook and Instagram pages, where you’ll find adorable photos of the people and pets that swear by its bedding, boast a combined total of more than 147k followers.

If you think you’ve just struck gold, just wait until you read the rest of this Nest Bedding review. Ahead, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the brand and its best-sellers, customer feedback, promotions, and more.

Overview of Nest Bedding

Nest Bedding Review

The story behind Nest Bedding is pretty extraordinary. It’s the type that makes you smile and believe that, yes, there can be good in this world. Of course, for the brand’s founder, Joe Alexander, that good came with persistence—and after a few run-ins with the darker side of life.

After losing his job, Alexander took his severance, and in 2011, decided to build Nest Bedding from the ground up. He drained his bank account, but within a few months, his business was profitable. What was his secret? A really good idea, mostly.

Nest Bedding is the creator of the bed-in-a-box idea. It laid the framework for boxed mattress giants like Casper to follow suit, all of which have Alexander to thank. The concept isn’t the only thing that created this (now worth $20 million) brand though.

Seeing the need for clean, sustainable bedding and mattresses, the creator added numerous certifications and awards to its line as well as free trials and free shipping to his business model. Concerned with waste, Nest Bedding’s innovations don’t just stop there. The brand is one of few to offer customizable mattresses to help cut back on waste generated from mattress returns.

Today, it has showrooms across the USA and is based in California. Up next in this Nest Bedding review, you’ll read about the many highlights of this innovative brand. After that, we’ll take you through a few of its adjustable pillows and mattresses.

Nest Bedding Easy Breather Pillow Review

Nest Bedding makes three pillows within the Easy Breather collection. Two are adjustable bed pillows and one is an innovative design for travel. Up next, you’ll read about all three.

Nest Bedding Easy Breather Pillow Review

Have you ever tried sleeping without a pillow? Yeah, it’s the worst. But hard, unsupportive, or thin-as-air pillows can seem worse. Yet, we all have different preferences.

That’s why the Nest Bedding Easy Breather Pillow just makes sense. It’s adjustable, so all you have to do is take out some of the foam until you find your perfect support level. Form-fitting to your head and neck, it comes with a removable cover that you can toss in the wash.

Made from CertiPUR-US® foam with an eco-friendly blended adaptive cooling cover, this Nest Bedding pillow even comes with a little bag that you can use to store unwanted fill. Grab one in sizes standard, queen, king, or side sleeper for $90-$107 (was $100-$120).

Nest Bedding Easy Breather Natural Pillow Review

Instead of the CertiPUR-US® foam, the Nest Bedding Easy Breather Natural Pillow is filled with OEKO-TEX® shredded latex. This highly-natural pillow is the perfect blend of comfort and support, thanks to its inner pouch made from cotton.

If you’re a fan of down but don’t like the practice, you’ll enjoy knowing that this mostly plant-based pillow provides a similar feel and won’t cause allergies like feathers can.

Right now, the Side Sleeper size is 50% off at $54 (from $109). It’s also available in queen and king sizes for $100-$110 (normally $110-$120).

Nest Bedding Easy Breather Travel Pillow Review

The Nest Bedding Easy Breather Travel Pillow is the go-friendly rest solution your plane dreams are made of. With a quick-release clasp, it securely fastens to attach to your luggage, your arm, or around your neck so it won’t slide off. Ingenious.

Made with specialty foam/polyester fiber filler and a Lyocell/polyester cover, it’s supportive and soft, and if you like things a little plusher, take out some foam and make it right. The best part? It’s machine washable, so you don’t have to worry about gross airport germs.

Right now, the Easy Breather Travel Pillow is sold out. Check back in soon!

Nest Bedding Mattress Review

Nest Bedding is loved for its mattresses. Backed by a 365-Night Trial and a Lifetime Renewal Exchange promise, its collection includes hybrid and latex options for adults, along with a few for kids and pets.

Not sure which is right? Take the mattress quiz. The brand will ask about your sleep habits and priorities (price, comfort, sustainability, etc.) before offering suggestions.

Up next, we’ll introduce you to a few of its best-sellers all made in the USA.

Nest Bedding Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Nest Bedding Review

This section of our Nest Bedding review is here to shed light on how customers feel about our featured brand’s collection. We combed the web for feedback and were pleased with what we found. We’ll start with a few ratings from NestBedding.com:

  • Owl Natural Latex Hybrid Mattress: 4.7/5 stars from 2,880 reviews
  • Quail Memory Foam Mattress: 4.8/5 stars from 2,222 reviews
  • Sparrow Signature Hybrid Memory Foam: 4.7/5 stars from 8,745 reviews
  • Easy Breather Travel Pillow: 4.7/5 stars from 30 reviews
  • Easy Breather Pillow: 4.6/5 stars from 9,515 reviews

Looking into the comments section for the Easy Breather Pillow, we discovered that 98% of buyers keep their pillows. Before we dip into quotes from customers, let’s just pause and appreciate how cool his stat is to see. Transparency…don’t you just love it?

Overall, customers think this pillow rocks. Since it’s adjustable, it suits all kinds of preferences and the consensus is that it’s incredibly comfortable and supportive. Take a look at what one customer said in their Nest Bedding review:

I’ve tried many other types that did not work out but this one is a keeper…I’m a back sleeper and like more neck support so I remove some filling from the center which keeps the neck area firm. When I needed to sleep on my side during pregnancy I put all the filling back for extra firmness throughout and it worked great.

A pillow to take you through life’s seasons, the Easy Breather Pillow is a great pick for those who aren’t sure exactly what they need from a pillow. It would also make an awesome guest room choice.

In search of something off of the brand’s website, we hit up a Nest Bedding review page on Consumer Affairs. The brand was awarded a 4.4/5 star score from 372 shoppers, and overall, people are pleased with the quality and comfort its bedding and mattresses provide.

One Nest Bedding review went into detail about the quality of the company’s mattresses and customer support. It reads:

They provided a quality mattress with very good comfort (almost perfect for us) and we have been very happy with it. We contacted support early on but found once our bodies got used to the mattress we didn’t need to follow back up with them. They were very responsive to my inquiry.”

What’s better than supportive mattresses and supportive…support? Very little. The buying process is nearly as important as the quality of a brand’s products. You can’t have one without the other. We’re happy to hear that the majority of customers say they have an easy shopping experience and a responsive after-sale service.

Now, our next Nest Bedding review comes from mattress review site Tuck.com. The folks at Tuck put the brand’s Sparrow Mattress to the test and picked it apart from foam to cover.

What did they think? After reading the full review, their team certainly liked it, but they reported that some loved it more than others. The Tuck team tested the mattress out with light, average, and heavy-weight sleepers.

It turns out the average-weight sleepers gave it the highest ratings “because of the mix of support and pressure relief it provides.” Lightweight sleeper Ed also “rated the Sparrow highly,” while heavyweight sleepers preferred it with its Lux Firm insert.

Since off-gassing is important too, we made sure to include Tuck’s feedback on that as well. They wrote, “We rated the Sparrow “very good” in terms of off-gassing, because the smell wasn’t as strong or persistent as that emitted from many mattresses.”

Nest Bedding mattresses aren’t made with many of the harmful chemicals that other mattress brands are, so you won’t experience the long off-gassing period often associated with buying a new mattress. All in all, feedback for this brand was off the charts—from the products to shipping to customer support.

Is Nest Bedding Legit?

Nest Bedding Review

Feedback is an important part of this Nest Bedding review, and that means the positive and the negative. While digging through blogs and review sites, we were pleased to find consistently high scores for the brand across them. But still, we wanted to be 100% sure there were no red flags, so we headed to the BBB.

The Better Business Bureau showed a flawless A+ score for Nest Bedding, and we read through the 17 complaints made within the last three years to check if anything was alarming. What we found surprised us.

Any company is going to have complaints, you can’t please everyone. Plus, we all know the type of customer that complains just for the sake of it. So with that in mind, it’s how those complaints are handled that really matters.

After every single one of the issues reported to the BBB, a Nest Bedding rep replied in detail—and we’re talking thorough responses here—about the situation and how they’ve worked with the customer, etc. From what we can see, not only is Nest Bedding legit, but its staff goes above and beyond the call of duty for its customers.

FAQ

Nest Bedding Review

Who owns Nest Bedding?

Nest Bedding is a family-owned and run brand. Founded by Joe Alexander in 2012, he currently sits as its CEO.

Is Nest Bedding made in the USA?

All Nest Bedding mattresses are made in the USA. Its pillow and other bedding are designed in California but made in China.

Does Nest Bedding ship internationally?

Right now, the company ships to all 50 states and Canada. We’ll cover the details of the brand’s shipping rates and times in the next part of this Nest Bedding review.

What is Nest Bedding’s Shipping Policy?

It takes about 8-10 business days to build your order from the time you place it online. Even though Nest Bedding ships to Canada as well as the USA, all of its orders are put together in America. Mattresses can take 2-3 weeks to ship out.

Shipping varies by location, but on average, it takes just 1-5 business days once it’s picked up by the shipping carrier. Shipping is free for all orders.

White glove delivery service is available for select locations. If you wish to use this service, contact customer service before placing your order.

What is Nest Bedding’s Return Policy?

For Nest Bedding, it’s about reducing waste. Since used mattresses cannot be resold, they’ll be donated—but to save the hassle, it does you one better.

Most of its mattresses are made to be adjustable. That means if you’re unhappy with how your mattress feels during the first 365 nights, let the brand know and its team will send you a different insert.

Most Nest Bedding mattresses have three firmness options. Instead of going through the pain of returning your mattress, you can try a new insert before making your final decision.

So what’s the 100-night sleep trial all about? You’ll have 100 nights to try out your new mattress, and if you don’t like it, you can send it back for a full refund. The brand asks that you try it out for at least 30 nights before making your decision as sometimes, there’s an adjustment period.

If you’re still not convinced it’s the right mattress, let them know. After that, the return process goes like this:

  1. Email [email protected]
  2. They’ll ask basic questions about:
    1. How you sleep
    2. Your sleep issues
    3. What base it is supported by
  3. You’ll need to answer and send photos of the mattress tag and the base
  4. If your return is approved, you have 30 days to complete the process
  5. Nest Bedding will give you options for donation, disposal, or pick-up

If you don’t return it within 30 days, you cannot return the mattress. When you receive your donation receipt or proof of removal, Nest Bedding will issue your refund.

Nest pillows and bedding come with a 30-day return policy and can be returned by emailing [email protected]. Return your pillow in its original packaging. When a team member approves your return, they’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions on what to do next.
