Do Nano Hearing Aids Work?

Nano Hearing Aids Review

Based on customer feedback, Nano hearing aids do work to amplify sound and reduce background noise. There are some mentions of issues with background noise, but for general sound amplification, they work great.

Who would I recommend Nano to?

Those with mild to moderate hearing loss looking for sound amplification and a range of personalizable settings will find an affordable option at Nano.

Who I wouldn’t recommend Nano to?

If you have severe hearing loss or suspect you do, I would not recommend Nano. Their devices do offer a degree of personalization, but they may not be able to accommodate your level of hearing loss.

Alternatives To Nano Hearing Aids

Nano Hearing Aids Review

There are plenty of brands that make hearing aids and personal sound amplification devices. The first step is identifying which one you need. Based on your results, if you decide to shop around, consider these alternatives:

  • Listen Lively operates similarly to Nano, offering their hearing devices online and a free online test. They offer thorough support just like Nano does as well.
  • Oticon has a wide range of different hearing aids in its collection. Nano has less, and to purchase Oticon, you will need a proper hearing test performed by an audiologist.
  • Audien is similar to Nano in that they offer personal sound amplification devices. Anyone can buy these and they are less costly than Nano.

What Do Experts Think?

Nano Hearing Aids Review

Not many experts have weighed in on Nano Hearing Aids, but science-backed articles do have something to say about Nano calling their devices “hearing aids.”

According to this article on Forbes reviewed by audiologist Lauren Kawaguchi, Nano’s personal sound amplification products (PSAPs) cannot be labeled as hearing aids. PSAPs can help amplify sounds, but they are not designed to manage hearing loss as they are not individually programmed.

This contrasts with what Nano says in the following statement: “Our devices are FDA registered, Class I, which means that our devices are real hearing aids, as opposed to PSAP devices or amplifiers.

All of their devices have numerous settings so that they can be personalized, however, they may not offer the same level of personalization that hearing aids do.

How well do they work? See the next section of this Nano Hearing Aids review to find out.

Nano Hearing Aids Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Nano Hearing Aids Review

When it comes to hearing aids, customer feedback is key. In this section of my Nano Hearing Aids review, you’ll come to know exactly what customers think about this brand and their hearing devices, starting with some ratings from their own website as of May 2023.

  • CIC Recharge Hearing Aids: 4.5/5 stars, 1584 reviews
  • CIC DIGITAL Hearing Aids: 4.5/5 stars, 1,296 reviews

In a Nano Hearing Aids review on Amazon, one customer wrote the following about the RX2000:

While the price was important, I am most impressed with the comfort and the quality of hearing. The NANO Hearing aids with the rechargeable feature take all the hassle and worry out of being able to hear clearly again. They are built well and very sturdy. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with hearing impairment.

It’s clear that shoppers really appreciate how affordable Nano Hearing Aids are, but it sounds like they perform well too.

In an in-depth Nano Hearing Aids review on Hear Soundly, the Nano behind-the-ear aids were put to the test. The conclusion?

After I got my hearing aids set up, I wore them in a few different noise environments to test their ability to manage background noise. Overall, they did ok! They certainly boosted clarity for TV watching, and I didn’t have issues with the sound of my own voice.

While not everyone loved the results they experienced with Nano’s hearing aids, certain styles do look to perform better than others for certain folks. This may depend on your unique type of hearing loss and which style (in-ear versus over-the-ear) you prefer.

Is Nano Legit?

Nano Hearing Aids Review

Nano is a legit company that sells hearing devices. There is some speculation over whether they can be called “hearing aids” or not because technically hearing aids cannot be sold to anyone who has not been medically diagnosed with hearing loss.

That said, the company is legit and I didn’t run into any red flags about shipping or returns while writing this Nano Hearing Aids review.

Are Nano Hearing Aids Worth It?

Nano Hearing Aids Review
