Overview of Amara Rugs

Amara Rugs Review

Amara started the way brands often do: out of a need for change. Its founder Sam Hood came up with the idea about 16 years ago when she was working on a design project. Time after time she noticed how difficult it was to get what she needed from designer brands, so she teamed up with her husband Andrew and launched Amara in 2005.

Amara started as an independent boutique in the UK, swapping over to the online world in 2008 after we deemed online shopping the next big thing. The move meant great things for the brand, allowing it to grow and stock even more of the labels you know and love.

Over the years, Amara has brought on 300 designers, won awards for its excellent customer service, and is known in over 100 countries. Always up to date on the current trends (including sustainability), the UK-based brand collaborates with fashion houses around the world and has launched its One Planet initiative to further help the earth.

Now that you know a little more about the brand, next in my Amara Rugs review, I’ll run you through some of their highlights.

One of my favorite things about shopping with Amara is the convenience. You’ll notice that each rug has stock and shipping details so you know exactly what to expect when it’s time to order.

To give you a peek at the selection they have to offer, I’ll walk you through a handful of their best-sellers up next in my Amara Rugs review.

Amara Rugs Retreat Natural Thin Stripe Rug

You knew Amara stocks hundreds of high-end designers, but did you know they collab with some to make their own? The Retreat Natural Thin Stripe Rug is one of them, fitting beautifully within the luxurious Designed by Amara collection.

Made from hemp and measuring 120x180cm, it contrasts the natural texture against white stripes for a breezy, coastal vibe. If you’re not into the whole beachy scene, this rug would work wonderfully in spaces with lots of green foliage. Add it to your space for $173 (normally $217).

I’m not sure you can find a more striking design than the Christian Lacroix Bosquet Rug. Made from 100% hand-tufted wool with a cotton backing, it imparts a touch of natural, vintage-style elegance to any room.

With a base color of neutral cream, raised green leaves vine across its surface. Because of its color scheme, it would go beautifully in a retro-themed room with wooden consoles and the right accents. Enjoy this beauty in 160x260cm for $1,779 or in 200x300cm for $2,226.

Who Is Amara Rugs For?

Amara Rugs Review

Amara stocks high-end designer home goods, but since this is an Amara Rugs review, I’ll narrow my focus. I think this collection is awesome for anyone looking for an upscale finishing piece for their room. If top-tier service and convenience are also something you value as well, then I think you’ll definitely like this brand.

Amara Rugs Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Amara Rugs Review

I could sit and talk about how gorgeous this brand’s rugs are all day, but the only way to find out what they’re really like is to ask those who have bought them. For this section of my Amara Rugs review, I combed the web for helpful feedback starting with Trustpilot.

I’ll give you a peek at the brand’s overall scores then jump into some comments. On Trustpilot, 645 shoppers awarded Amara an average of 4.6/5 stars. Here, customers had plenty of great things to say about this company, and in my Amara Rugs review, one wrote:

“Recently used this website for the first time. I ordered a rug which was delivered promptly and on time. Unfortunately, I had to return the rug because the color wasn’t quite right. Customer service, return delivery, and refund was faultless. I wouldn’t hesitate to shop here again.”

There’s nothing worse than waiting around for a delivery, so on-time shipments make a big difference with online shopping. After reading a few comments on Trustpilot, I came to understand that this is the kind of service the brand is known for, but for good measure, let’s check out another source.

This time, I headed over to Feefo, noticing the 4.7/5 stars and 3.6k reviews. That’s pretty impressive and is telling of just how popular this brand is. So what do shoppers like so much about it? This Amara Rugs review sums things up nicely:

“Goods arrive pretty quickly. Good quality products. I have previously bought from them and I will continue to do so if the service remains good and the choice of goods are top quality.”

Others agree, writing that Amara is “a great company to deal with.” This same Amara Rugs review said that even their sale items are “of such high quality.” But how could they not be? Everything this brand stocks is from high-end designers, so even the lower-cost items are going to be exceptional.

But products aren’t the only things that are exceptional. Comments on Reviews.io revealed that Amara’s service is as well:

“I am extremely impressed with Amara and their customer service. I purchased a lovely towel rail that unfortunately arrived damaged however I called up the helpline and spoke to a very helpful and reassuring customer care advisor called Alex. The issue was however resolved so quickly as a new towel rail was delivered literally the day after she confirmed it.”

Reviews.io holds 116 different comments, which aren’t all Amara Rugs reviews, but they help understand what the company is like to order from. Overall, it was awarded 4.3/5 stars. While not every single customer had flawless service with Amara, more than the majority did and it seems that they have an excellent reputation.

Is Amara Rugs Legit?

Amara Rugs Review

I read through quite a few Amara Rugs reviews, and while I did find some issues, there wasn’t anything alarming. In fact, I was really pleased with the way this company handles complaints, responding with grace and patience, looking to resolve them rather than just saying sorry and moving on.

None of the complaints I found stacked, they were all different. This is a really good sign that any of them aren’t common. I’m thankful to report that Amara is indeed legit and appears safe to shop with.

Is Amara Rugs Worth It?

Amara Rugs Review

I know this is an Amara Rugs review, and while I’m pumped about their rug selection, I can’t help but be blown away by everything this brand has to offer. I’m in love with the concept: a luxury living e-retailer that provides top-tier service. And based on the feedback I found, that’s exactly what people get.

Now, sure, you could hit up Missoni to shop their rug selection, and you probably would get great service as well. But Amara carries the same luxury vibe, has more variety, more brands, delivers worldwide, and still weaves all the bells and whistles of designer shopping into the customer experience.

So yeah, if you’re looking for designer decor, I’d definitely say this brand is worth it.

Amara Rugs Review

Who owns Amara?

Sam and Andrew Hood own Amara. Founded in 2005, the UK-based brand is now known around the world.

Does Amara ship internationally?

Yes! Amara ships to 130 countries around the globe. Each of their product pages has shipping information for specific countries. For example, if I lived in Bermuda, I could expect a shipping fee of $41 for the Christian Lacroix Bosquet Roseau Rug

To get a quote for your country, simply check below the product or change your shipping location. You’ll be able to see an approximation of costs and shipping times before you hit the checkout. This is one of my favorite features of shopping with this brand: exceptional and transparent service from start to finish.

What is Amara’s Shipping Policy?

If you live in the UK, Amara offers a handful of shipping options to get your order to you quickly and affordably. I’ll break them down below:

  • Standard: 3-5 business days $8 (or free over $59)
  • 1 business day: $14
  • Nominated Day: $14
  • Click & Collect: ready by Noon the next working day $12 (or free above $83)

Live in the USA? You have options too. Standard delivery takes 4-8 business days and costs $10. If your order totals over $175, shipping is free. For faster service, opt for Express. Your package will get to you within just 1-4 business days. Express costs $40. No matter where you are in the world, all orders arrive duty paid.

Remember that on each of the products’ pages, you’ll see shipping estimations and the stock status of each product. For example, as I’m writing my Amara Rugs review, the Christian Lacroix Bosquet Roseau Rug will be back in stock in 7-8 weeks. That means that if you need a rug sooner, you can shop for other options.

What is Amara’s Return Policy?
