The brand makes activewear and athleisure for all bodies, offering sizes from XXS-4X across their line of buttery soft leggings, flattering tops, and everything in between. They’ve received a ton of praise for it too. Beyond Yoga has been featured by notable media outlets like Vogue, Women’s Health, and Shape to name a few.

Coupled with their social community of 490k+, it’s seems like they’re on to something. After trying a few pieces from their Spacedye collection myself, I’d certainly say they are.

So what can you expect for this Beyond Yoga clothing review? First, I’ll tell you all about my experience with their apparel before diving into their best-sellers, feedback, promotions, and more. Let’s get into it.

The dress code to take a yoga class is comfortable clothing you can move in. It turns out that’s precisely what we all want to wear—all of the time. Founded in 2005 by yoga teacher Jodi Gruber-Brufsky, Beyond Yoga focuses on feel-good items that fit like a dream and flatter your features.

After Jodi realized the need for a body-positive activewear line, she teamed up with Michelle Wahler to create a brand that made it. Beyond Yoga is based in California and makes their apparel in the USA.

Wearing Beyond Yoga Clothing – My Review

I was sent a few complimentary pieces from Beyond Yoga and eagerly put them to the test. From yoga and walking to running and spinning, I wanted to see how well they stood up to cardio, stretching, and everyday wear. You’ll read all about my experience here.

First Impressions

When I received my package from Beyond Yoga in the mail, I was more than a little excited. I’ve worn some of their apparel before, but I’ve never tried out their Spacedye collection.

I received the Spacedye Caught In The Midi High Waisted Legging in darkest night (M), Spacedye At Your Leisure High Waisted Legging in black-charcoal (M), and the Spacedye Slim Racerback Cropped Tank in black-white (S).

Without giving too much away too early, when they say buttery—they really mean it. After tearing open the package, I immediately felt how soft their pieces truly are.

Right out of the gate, I could tell by their look and feel that these items were well-made, but it was their fit that really sold me. I’ll tell you more about that next.

Fit & Feel

I find that activewear brands use the word “buttery” a lot. But after slipping on Beyond Yoga leggings, I came up with few better words to describe their decadent, luxurious material.

Both pairs of the leggings I received fit me perfectly. They hugged my curves and didn’t sag in the crotch.

As a runner and lover of all things active, I’ve tried my fair share of leggings from big-name brands. Some pieces I didn’t wear more than once and others I’ve treasured for years. I know Beyond Yoga’s will be the latter.

And as someone who’s spent a reasonable amount of time in the gym and on the road, I’ve come to be super picky about fabrics and fits. While I appreciate stretch and sweat-wicking, It’s the fit and feel that are really important to me.

There’s nothing worse than constantly needing to hike your leggings up on a run, and I’m happy to report that the Spacedye Caught In The Midi High Waisted Leggings didn’t budge once during my 45 minute jaunt on the treadmill. Instead, they provided a nice amount of compression and kept me feeling secure until my cooldown.

The material of all three pieces I received is soft and smooth, and I love that the seams lie flat against my skin. The phrase “second skin” came to mind when I put them on, and while they provided compression, I was pleased the leggings weren’t too tight around my ankles.

Performance

While I wore the Spacedye Caught In The Midi High Waisted Leggings for my run, I tried out the Spacedye At Your Leisure High Waisted Leggings and the Spacedye Slim Racerback Cropped Tank for yoga.

The Spacedye Slim Racerback Cropped Tank provides a nice amount of support that’s great for yoga, weight lifting, and pilates. Depending on the level of support you need, I think it could work well for running too.

I loved the feeling of the Caught In The Midi High Waisted Leggings for running, but I could definitely see myself wearing them around the house, to yoga, and even for kickboxing classes.

The At Your Leisure High Waisted Leggings have a slightly different fit than the first pair I tried. They have a thicker waistband with a cute V-shaped detail that provides extra tummy compression. I probably wouldn’t wear these to run, but I love them for yoga and pilates. They stretched wonderfully through Vinyasa and I appreciated not having to worry about their opacity.

Final Thoughts

From savasana to sprints, Beyond Yoga clothing stands its ground. It’s truly versatile and so buttery soft I want to live in it. I love how it fits, feels, and functions during workouts, and all three pieces I received will be a constant in my wardrobe.

Having tried these beauties out myself, I can tell you how flattering they are. Hugging your hips with an eye-catching V-shaped detail, they’re perfect for pilates or running errands.

Super smooth and comfortable, don’t be surprised if you never take them off (I may or may not be wearing mine right now). With no outside seams, they’re smooth from hip to ankle.

The Spacedye Caught In The Midi High Waisted Leggings are incredibly versatile and have become one of the most treasured pieces in my closet. Smooth and luxurious, they wick away sweat and feel like a dream thanks to light compression.

They’re the brand’s most popular style of high-waisted leggings and it’s easy to see why. You can get a pair in any of their 6 core colors or 9 seasonal favorites for $133. Sizes range from XXS-4XL.

While I can’t talk up Beyond Yoga’s Spacedye collection enough, they actually have a few other trendy favorites hiding in their line of leggings. Including velvety fabrics, metallic details, and prismatic hues, these best-sellers are sure to grab attention.

Beyond Yoga Sportgloss Smooth Operator High Waisted Midi Length Review

The Sportgloss Smooth Operator High Waisted Midi Length leggings are perfect for a workout or a night on the town.

Made from Sportgloss material, these have a shiny, smooth feel plus compression and UV protection for outdoor workouts.

These leggings also have no outside seams, a 5″ waistband, and are midi length for comfort and flexibility. Beyond Yoga’s Sportgloss Smooth Operator High Waisted Midi Length comes in Black or Beige, though they’re sold out now.

If I could recommend an alternative, I’d go for the Velvet Motion High Waisted Midi Legging. They come in gorgeous colors (forest green is the bomb) in sizes XS-XL for $135.

Versatile leggings are something Beyond Yoga does really well and the Sportflex High Waisted Midi Legging is no exception. An excellent everyday essential made from Sportflex material, these leggings have 4-way stretch, compression, UV protection, and wick away moisture.

While this particular pair is no longer in Beyond Yoga’s collection, the Walk and Talk Capri Legging is a great substitute. It’s on sale for $54 right now (from $110) and comes in sizes XXS-4XL.

Zip By Boulevard High Waisted Midi Legging Review

The Zip By Boulevard High Waisted Midi Legging doesn’t compromise on style or function. Unlike many Beyond Yoga leggings, these have an added zipper detail at the ankle and are made of Sportsflex material.

Like many of the leggings from the brand, these include:

• Moisture wick

There are few better feelings that crossing “work out” off your daily to-do list. The Featherweight Day & Night Sleep Romper is a soft and comfy choice to slip on when your workout is done.

Made with a 3″ inseam and no built-in bra, it’s great for sleeping, lounging, and looking cute while cooking pancakes.

In a raincloud grey color, the Featherweight Day & Night Sleep Romper is sold out, but the Seaside Romper isn’t. It looks pretty similar, with the addition of a drawstring waist. Get it for as low as $37 (normally $135).

Full disclosure: I wrote my original Beyond Yoga clothing review more than a year ago. Based on what I found out about their materials, collection, and feedback, I already believed their apparel was worth the buy.

But having tried out a few of their items, I’ve become more than an advocate for the brand. I don’t think I’ll ever wear a different brand of leggings again—they’re that good. The US returns and exchanges are free and you will be sent a prepaid return label to attach to your parcel to send back via USPS.
