Overview of Seraphine Maternity

Seraphine Maternity Review

Seraphine was launched in 2002 by Cécile Reinaud. A French designer living in London, she created the line to help women feel their best while they’re pregnant and after they’ve given birth.

For many, fashion is part of who they are, and for too long, the options for maternity clothing consisted of mu-mus and tent-like pants. Not exactly clothing that makes women feel good about how they look.

Merging high-quality fabrics like bamboo and cotton with trend-led designs and functional features, Seraphine helped transform maternity wear into what it is today.

And as a modern brand, the folks behind Seraphine know that being sustainable is just as important as instilling confidence. That’s why they have a strict responsible cotton sourcing policy and use 80% natural materials in their line.

Now that you know a little more about the brand and who’s behind it, let’s move my Seraphine Maternity review right along. Next up, you’ll find the highlights.

Seraphine’s maternity clothes are a popular choice for the brand, stacked with essential and occasion-specific items to keep you feeling stylish and comfortable every day. Up next, you’ll meet the brand’s bestsellers in the line.

Seraphine Maternity Red Midi Wrap Maternity Dress Review

This dress is a maternity essential. Flowy but well-fitted, it accentuates your bump with a super-flattering wrap design. You’ll love features like the midi length which is perfect for barbecues or weddings. Its tie detail sleeves help to pump up the style.

Finished in bright red with delicate floral details, the Red Midi Wrap Maternity Dress is a must for your spring and summer wardrobe. If red isn’t your thing, you can also buy this dress in a breezy blue or vibrant green. You can get it now in sizes 2-16 for $99.

Seraphine Maternity Shirred Black Floral Print Maternity to Nursing Dress Review

Who says adorable dresses can’t be functional? The Shirred Black Floral Print Maternity to Nursing Dress is the kind you can wear way past the nursing stage, with an easy-going fit that accentuates your shoulders and flows past your hips.

It’s black with a pink flower print that’s sweet and timeless, long enough that it skims past your knees, and is appropriate for garden parties and summer strolls. Trendy features like the square neckline, puffed sleeves, and tiered skirt pour on the feminine charm. Get it in sizes 2-16 on sale for $65 (normally $95).

Seraphine Maternity Black Cotton Skin to Skin Top Review

Keeping your baby close is essential to their comfort and yours. The Black Cotton Skin to Skin Top makes that possible, made from a soft and stretchy cotton material that’s as kind to your skin as it is your baby’s.

Recommended by midwives, this super comfy and helpful top can be used from birth to keep your little one close while you’re sitting down.

Its wrap tie feature provides an easy fit and allows for easy access. Note: this is a top, not a carrier. When you’re standing or moving, keep a hold of your baby. Get it in sizes XS-2XL for $75.

Seraphine Maternity Seraphine Bamboo Nursing Bras – Twin Pack Review

What’s better than one? Two, because spit-up and stains happen, and having a backup is essential to the nursing process.

The Seraphine Bamboo Nursing Bras – Twin Pack bundles together two classic colors so you feel supported and cared for while you’re busy caring for your little one.

Made from sustainable and hypoallergenic bamboo, they have a seamless, under-wire-free design that’s irritation-free and allows for easy access for nursing.

And since they’re totally adjustable, there’s no need to buy any other bra throughout your nursing journey. Pick from four timeless color combinations such as black and white, grey and blush, or grey stripe and blue for $55.

Seraphine Maternity Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Seraphine Maternity Review

Maternity is a special category of clothing. It needs to be comfortable, well-fitting, and functional. And when shopping online, a brand needs to be trustworthy and reliable. That’s exactly what this section of my Seraphine Maternity review is for. To do that, I look through customer ratings and comments that shed light on what it’s like to shop with them.

My first stop for feedback was Trustpilot where Seraphine Maternity averaged 3.2/5 stars from over 6.4k shoppers. It broke down like this:

  • 5 stars: 60%
  • 4 stars: 15%
  • 3 star: 9%
  • 2 stars: 7%
  • 1 star: 9%

84% of shoppers awarded Seraphine at least 3 stars, but since the brand has only responded to 92% of negative reviews, they’ve docked them a few points resulting in an average score even though the majority of feedback is more than positive. But don’t just take my word for it, here’s one Seraphine Maternity review that explains why the brand is great:

“The quality and fit of the Seraphine Maternity range is by far the best I have experienced. As a Mum of 7, I think I’ve now tried about every maternity brand on the market! The colors are beautiful and the designs are feminine and modest – so hard to find nowadays. Delivery is quick and the refund process is smooth, should you need to.”

Not only does Seraphine have great quality clothing, but every other aspect of their service is great too, according to this customer. Others were in agreement, so right off the bat, we’re off to a good start. Let’s check in with Figure 8 Moms to learn more.

On Figure 8 Moms, the Jolene Dress was awarded 4.2/5 stars from 33 shoppers. Customers loved the fit and feel of the dress, with one writing:

I ordered this dress for my baby shower. I was hesitant to order a dress online that I couldn’t try on, but the sizing chart was very accurate. I love this dress! The length is perfect…The dress also drapes perfectly over my bump to show off my curves without being immodest. My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner.

Customers agreed that Seraphine makes figure-flattering clothing, but many also say that it’s comfortable and practical as well. Take this Seraphine Maternity review for the Pink & Mocha Maternity and Nursing Bra on Good To Know:

“This bra is awesome, it’s beautifully made, fantastic quality and so soft,’ adds Laila. Fusing comfort with function and style, this bra looks and feels nothing like a regular nursing bra. Although the bra has no under-wiring, Laila mentioned that it was extremely supportive without feeling restrictive.”

The Pink & Mocha Maternity and Nursing Bra is everything a nursing bra should be. It’s this Seraphine Maternity review and the many others I’ve read that lead me to believe the brand makes quality clothing that expectant and new mothers will love.

Is Seraphine Maternity Legit?

Seraphine Maternity Review

Pregnant or not, the purpose of my Seraphine Maternity review is to make your life as easy as possible, and that means assessing a brand from head to toe so you know exactly what to expect when shopping.

The Seraphine Maternity reviews I found are very positive, but it appears that the most common complaint is about the returns process.

If you shop online, you’ll have to return your order by mail, and that’s something some customers disliked. Seraphine gets this and tries to make the process as easy as possible, offering free returns no matter where you live. Since that was the largest complaint I could dig up, I’d say Seraphine is a great brand to shop with and is 100% legit.

Is Seraphine Maternity Worth It?

Seraphine Maternity Review

Seraphine Maternity has some seriously cute clothing. Customers said that it’s comfortable and figure-flattering, and personally, I like that they use 80% natural materials and ship in sustainable packaging.

With good prices and even better sales, Seraphine makes finding clothes that make you feel good one less thing to worry about while you are expecting.

Seraphine Maternity Promotions & Discounts

Seraphine Maternity Review

Since no Seraphine Maternity review would be complete without a section on deals, I scouted the brand’s site to see what I could turn up. Turns out, quite a bit:

  • Shop the Fall Sale for up to 50% off
  • Refer a Friend: Give 15% off, get 15% off
  • Search through the Sale section for deals year-round

Where to Buy Seraphine Maternity

Seraphine Maternity Review

To shop the brand’s selection, you can either head over to Seraphine.com or one of their retail locations in New York, California, London, Dubai, or New Delhi. I also spotted the name on Amazon and in quite a few maternity boutiques like Luna Maternity and Ella Bella.
