About Sheridan

Sheridan Bedding Review

Sustainable luxury. It’s a category that too few companies fit into, but Sheridan is one of them. Its collection of bedding and bath products for adults and kids is as soft as it is sustainable[1]. Basically, this is a responsible business that sells products you just gotta have.

As a 50+-year-old brand, Sheridan has made its fair share of headlines and has garnered a social media community of 230k. Recently spotted in The Latch and on Kidspot, if you ever fly Qantas first class, you’ll even find its name on the sheets you snuggle into on the red-eye flight.

But does this brand meet the needs of your home? In this Sheridan bedding review, I’ll help you figure that out. Coming up, I’ll share details on the brand’s background, its bestsellers, customer feedback, and more. So that by the end of this review, you’ll know if its products are exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Overview Of Sheridan

Sheridan Bedding Review

What does it mean to be an Australian brand? According to Sheridan, it’s a dedication to “quality…craft and…artistry.” Founded in 1967 by environmentalist Claudio Alcorso, Sheridan is still just as passionate about those values today.

Now a part of Pacific Brands, it has 22 stores across Australia and is stocked in some big-name retailers like Myer and House of Fraser. Ethically sourcing its materials and using Australia as a muse, the brand’s collection of well-made bedding and bath products play with texture and tone to create pieces you’ll love.

As with many sustainable companies, Sheridan is transparent about its materials and manufacturing, and while all of its pieces are designed in Australia, they’re made in China or Pakistan.

Whether it’s a Mongolian fleece throw pillow or Egyptian cotton sheets, Sheridan still infuses “creative thought and beauty into the everyday things of life.” This was Claudio’s original mission with his forward-thinking brand.

Now that you know a little more about the brand’s background, up next in this Sheridan bedding review, we’ll move right along and view the highlights.

With its wide selection of products that span multiple categories—including bedroom, bath, beach, and homewares—this authentically Australian brand has a lot to offer. Since this is a Sheridan bedding review, I’ll stick to the bedding category. Let’s dive in.

Sheridan Bedding Review

From accent pillows and sheets to throw blankets and duvets, Sheridan’s collection of regular and kids’ bedding features classy neutrals and vibrant hues

Made from renewable materials like Mongolian fleece, linen, and organic cotton, the line is soft, responsible, and incredibly attractive. I’ll explore the brand’s bestsellers next.

Sheridan Bedding Bligh Cushion Review

Made from real Mongolian sheep fleece, take one look at the Bligh Cushion and you’ll want to hug it. With its long, twisting tufts of supremely soft fleece, it’s got the wild look that happy hillside sheep often do. Made in fog or julep colors, this snuggly pillow will add texture to a plain couch.

While the front is made from fleece, the back is made from linen and the pillow is filled with polyester. Measuring 45cmx45cm, you can get the Bligh Cushion on sale right now for $160 (normally $200).

Sheridan Bedding Mushi Kids Cushion Review

The Mushi Kids Cushion could make a super cute addition to a child’s bed or play couch. This squishy, soft mushroom-shaped pillow can be used to decorate their room. It’s a fun accessory to lounge with or lay on for afternoon naps.

Made with an organic cotton cover, it’s accented by white spots and an all-yellow base. It also comes in a dust color that’s similar to what you’d find on chanterelle or portobello mushrooms. The Mushi Kids Cushion normally goes for $50 but you can find it on sale for even less.

Sheridan Bedding Birchall Throw Review

Is a couch really a place of relaxation without a throw blanket? The Birchall Throw is made from wool and cotton. Plus, it features an acrylic stitch that adds integrity and durability to an otherwise incredibly soft snuggler.

At 130 cm x 180 cm, it’s long enough to cover your toes or wrap around you as you move from the couch to the kitchen to make another cup of tea. With an air of minimalism, this throw comes in neutral color tones and usually costs $230

Sheridan Bedding Ralphie Kids Throw Review

The Ralphie Kids Throw is a gorgeous knitted blanket—measuring 150cmx180cm for a long and cuddly feel. Crafted from 100% cotton, it’s a must for the cold season when your little one needs to stay warm.

The throw features gorgeous color blocking, fading from red to beige to blue. A great-looking and luxury-feeling knit for your kid’s bed, don’t be surprised if you find yourself wrapped up in it too. The Ralphie Kids Throw usually goes for $200.

Sheridan Bedding 1000tc Hotel Luxury Sheet Set Review

The higher the thread count, the more tightly woven your sheets will be. The 1000tc Hotel Luxury Sheet Set is the perfect meeting ground between crispness and softness. It’s made from 100% cotton with a satisfying weight to help you sleep soundly.

Since they’re made from cotton, these Sheridan sheets are both sustainable and easy to care for. Just wash and dry them the way you would normal sheets. The set includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two standard pillowcases. Plus, it comes in eight soothing neutral colors, such as julep and dust.

Available in queen and king size, normally they’re $500-$580, but are on sale for $350-$406.

Sheridan Bedding Flannelette Sheet Set Review

You may be familiar with the warmth of flannel, but if it’s soft, cozy warmth you’re after, flannelette is the way to go. The Flannelette Sheet Set is made from 100% cotton—promising a super comfortable, snuggly sleep that’s still breathable and cool.

The fabric on these sheets has been brushed on each side which increases their softness. Your set will include a flat sheet, fitted sheet, and one pillowcase if you choose the single size. Double, queen, and king sizes all come with two pillowcases.

Sheridan Bedding Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Sheridan Bedding Review

Customer feedback to this Sheridan bedding review is like sheets are to a bed. Without them, you might not feel totally comfortable. That’s my aim here—to thoroughly inform you about the brand. So I set out in search of feedback from places high and low across the web.

The brand’s website didn’t show any comments or ratings, so the first source we’ll dive into is Trustpilot. There, Sheridan has 4.7/5 stars and 1,932 reviews.

Here’s the snapshot:

  • Excellent: 88%
  • Great: 6%
  • Average: 3%
  • Poor: 1%
  • Bad: 2%

On Trustpilot, I found this Sheridan bedding review (which is actually more like a Sheridan bath review): “These bath towels are excellent, nice and fluffy when washed, lovely colours and very fast delivery. So pleased with my purchase.”

Another customer had this to say about the kind of quality this brand delivers: “As always, Sheridan delivers good quality sheets. The selection of colors is also good, nice tones.

From these two comments, we can learn that Sheridan products are of good quality, they feel nice, look nice, and are delivered on time. That’s a lot of pluses so far, so let’s check out another source to see what we find.

This time, I hit up an independent blog called Muslim Mummy. This is what the author had to say about a Sheridan duvet set:

The first thing I noticed when I unpacked it was the luxurious feel. The set is made out of polyester and cotton jacquard weave, with the reverse being 100% cotton sateen. The colour of this particular set is light but it certainly does look very stylish when on the bed.”

This particular Sheridan Bedding reviewer didn’t go into a lot of depth about what the products were like to sleep on—more so, she mentioned that her family liked the way they looked. It seems that a lot of people choose Sheridan for its beautiful, long-lasting products, and it’s a bonus that they’re sustainable.

So far, I’d say we’re off to a great start, but I think we need just one more source to really seal the deal. For that, I headed over to Myer, an online store that stocks the brand’s products, and dove into the feedback section for the Reilly Sheet Set in Chambray. Twelve shoppers had awarded it 4.7/5 stars, and here’s what one had to say about it:

The sheets have a very luxurious and unique feel. The colour is very neutral and calming in Chambray blue, looks great.

Others mention that the sheets are “well-made,” and that their orders were “sent out quickly and free.” While 12 reviews aren’t enough to give us a super accurate depiction of the brand, weighing them against the other hundreds of positive comments I found tells me that its a reliable company.

And, based on everything I’ve read for this part of my Sheridan bedding review, I can confidently say that customers believe the brand’s products are good quality, stylish, and arrive on time.

Is Sheridan Legit?

Sheridan Bedding Review

Sheridan is definitely legit. The brand has stores around Australia and its products are stocked by a handful of other retailers. With that in mind, the question now becomes, do I have anything to worry about when shopping with them? Well, based on my research for this Sheridan bedding review, the answer is no.

While there are some comments about difficulties with returns and contacting the brand’s customer service team, only a very small percentage of folks have experienced this. While no complaint should ever slip through the cracks, there doesn’t appear to be a concerning pattern that raises any red flags.

For those that experience product issues, it looks like Sheridan almost always offers refunds. Plus, its team replies to 4/5 negative reviews on Trustpilot—and mostly to those that complain about products. To me, this means that if you do experience an issue with any of its products, the company will be quick to give you a refund.

Is Sheridan Bedding Worth It?

Sheridan Bedding Review

Sheridan is over 50 years old. Throughout time, it’s built a reputation as a sustainable luxury store that sells bedding and bath products—one that’s easy to shop with and that stands out in a crowd of other comparable companies.

I appreciate Sheridan’s commitment to sustainability over the years, as well as the fact that it partners with good causes and gives back to those in need (for every $15 spent, it donates a set of sheets).

If you’re looking for a brand that you can feel good about buying from, I think this one checks a lot of boxes. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that its products are soft, beautiful, and high-quality either. So are they worth it? I think so, and I like that the brand often holds sales and offers payment plans through Klarna, Afterpay, and Zip.
