Overview Of VivaTerra
The folks behind VivaTerra are passionate about helping the earth and those on it.
That’s why their entire inventory is geared around sustainable design, but also why they give back to organizations in need, like the MESA Food Pantry and Rivanna Conservation Alliance.
Founded in 2001 by Bonnie Dahan, VivaTerra was acquired by Evergreen Enterprises Inc. in 2014. So what can you expect when shopping?
An authentic handmade artisanal feel throughout the line, high-quality materials, and an inviting inventory to fill your entire home.
Approaching homeware from an angle of who, what, and where, the brand is on a mission to do better for all. Coming up in my VivaTerra review, I’ll tell you more about the kinds of products you’ll find at the shop, but for now, let’s take a look at their highlights.

VivaTerra Home Review
From lighted trees with delicate flowers to dressers made with reclaimed vintage wood, the VivaTerra Home collection is incredibly alluring. As promised, below, you’ll find the details of the brand’s bestsellers.
VivaTerra Indoor/Outdoor Lighted Baby’s Breath Tree Collection Review
Emitting a soft glow from their flowering branches, the Indoor/Outdoor Lighted Baby’s Breath Tree Collection includes elegant artificial tree options for your home. There is a 4’ or 6’ self-standing tree, along with a matching strand of garland, and a set of two branches.
A great pick for your fall porch, turn these on before inviting guests over for a totally inviting look.
Of course, you don’t have to reserve them for special occasions only, string them up inside your home and turn them on for date nights or late evening reads.
Each of the trees comes with a mounting base and 4 ground stakes, and a 16’ all-weather cord. Add a little whimsy to your home with this collection priced between $49-$189.
VivaTerra Loloi Folklore Rugs Review
Loloi Folklore Rugs are the perfect addition to a vintage bedroom or living room set. Designed by Justina Blakeney, they’re inspired by Moroccan designs with flowing lines that form a repeated diamond pattern.
There are two rugs in the collection. One measures 7’9” x 9’ 9” and comes in an ocean ripple color pattern, while the other measures 3’6” x 5’6” and is available in ocean ripple and prism groove designs.
Cover a large area in your favorite sitting room or tuck one under your bed for a cozy feel under your feet each morning. The smaller rug will cost you $369 while the larger option is $1,324.
VivaTerra Gustavian Vintage Fir Bed Collection Review
If it’s impactful design you’re after, look no further than the Gustavian Vintage Fir Bed Collection. Made from up to 100-year-old reclaimed Douglas fir wood, the line has an intriguing look that’s as grand as it is simple.
Said to have a neoclassical design with a contemporary twist, it’s an excellent collection for your guest bedroom or cottage.
Of course, you could bring some of its vintage charm into your very own bedroom, where adding one of the plush VivaTerra rugs is a must. And don’t forget the faux furs and bedside candles.
Handmade in California and finished with non-toxic stains, you’ll pick from linen gray, espresso, natural, and onyx black to fit your personal style. So what’s in the collection?
- VivaTerra Bed in twin, full, queen, king, or California king sizes: $2,099-$3,099
- Dressers with 3, 5, or 6 drawers: $2,299-$2,699
- Storage bench: $1,579
- Wall mirror: $949
- Bedside table: $739
VivaTerra Vintage Fir Global Dressers Review
The Vintage Fir Global Dressers have an old-world look as if they were crafted in the 1800s and preserved throughout the years. The collection includes a three-drawer wide dresser, a 5-drawer tall dresser, and a 6-drawer wide dresser.
They all have the same vintage look, made from reclaimed 100-year-old Douglas Fir wood that’s hand-planed. You’ll notice imperfections in the wood of your dresser, but that’s intentionally left to add character.
The wood is finished with a non-toxic stain for a warm, inviting look. It’s also available in those same four colors: black onyx, linen gray, natural, and espresso.
Prices range from $2,299–$2,699 per piece depending on how many drawers you choose and I highly suggest checking out VivaTerra lighting to find the ideal lamp to place on top.
VivaTerra Mont Blanc Collection Review
The Mont Blanc Collection is sophisticated and stylish, ideal for any space you want to have an upscale look. With a neutral color scheme, these American-made pieces are crafted from maple wood with a raised, open frame for an airy feel.
Standout features include the fact that the wood is Sustainable Forestry Initiative® compliant, while the soy-based foam cushions are finished with recycled fibers and are flame retardant free.
If you’re looking for a truly sustainable sofa or chair, these are them—and they just happen to come with free white glove delivery.
While the Mont Blanc Collection isn’t in stock at VivaTerra right now, you may be able to find it at a retail partner. The sofa measures 86” W x 40” D x 37” H, while the chair is 38” L x 33” W x 37” H.
VivaTerra Mid-Century Modern Writing Desk With Two Shelves Review
The Mid-Century Modern Writing Desk With Two Shelves is a piece after my own heart. It has an open, minimalistic design that would look simply perfect next to a large window and a large bookcase.
Whether you write for a living or doodle on the weekends, this beautiful desk is a great addition to any creative home. Made from rubber tree wood, it measures 47.75” L x 21.75” W x 30” H and has a warm, inviting tone.
With two separate shelves, you can store notebooks, a laptop, or stacks of paper to keep your important things within arm’s reach. Add it to your space for $479.
Who Is VivaTerra For?
VivaTerra makes sustainable furniture and decor for modern living. Handmade by artisans with high-quality, natural materials, it lasts longer than cheaply made items that you’d have to replace several times throughout your life.
If you’re looking for pieces of good quality and for a brand that gives back, I suggest checking them out.
VivaTerra Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Feedback is a crucial part of any VivaTerra review. It’s so important, in fact, it gets its very own section.
To help you get to know the brand from top to bottom, I’ve rounded up comments and ratings from around the web. First, you’ll hear from the official website.
VivaTerra.com doesn’t hold many customer reviews, but here are the ones they do have for my featured products:
- Vintage Fir Global Dressers: 4/5 stars, 1 review
- Gustavian Vintage Fir Bed Collection: 4/5 stars, 1 review
While such few reviews don’t paint an accurate depiction of the brand, they’re still a helpful introduction to the kind of quality the brand offers.
One reviewer of the Gustavian Bed Collection shares how they weree impressed with the brand’s quality and would definitely shop with them again.
Due to the low number of reviews on the website, I took a look at reviews for other products that also mentioned their high quality, many saying they would recommend the brand to a friend.
Next, I turned to one of the brand’s retail partners to find out if the reviews were similar elsewhere.
Wayfair stocks a great range of VivaTerra furniture and accents, but not my featured bestsellers. Overall, the brand averages 4.5/5 stars for its products on Wayfair.
Let’s see what some customers had to say in their VivaTerra reviews of the brand’s vase.
“Gorgeous! Quality piece for my kitchen island. Fill it with fresh flowers weekly. Makes my kitchen look fat house chic.”
Another shopper wrote: “This is so much better than the picture. My husband loves it. It’s a welcome addition to my bottle vases. Quality. Amber color is pretty. So happy I bought it.”
This is the caliber of products VivaTerra makes: ones that transform your space and are impressive to all. The reviews for the table vase on Wayfair are similar to the ones on Amazon for the Teak and Blown Glass Vase Sculpture.
The sculpture averaged 4.8/5 stars from 75 shoppers. The fact that no one gave it a rating lower than 3 stars speaks volumes of the sculpture’s look and quality.
One VivaTerra review that mentioned this reads: “While not cheap, this is a high-quality vase that I’ve now used for over a year (and survived a move) as a container for hydroponic plants. Highly recommend!”
Another that went into a little more depth about the material said: “I love how heavy the glass is and I think the small little air bubbles in the glass give it a more authentic piece for a beachy feel. It was very well packaged and the teak is beautiful!”
Overall, VivaTerra has some great feedback online. The biggest complaint I could find was about minor imperfections in glass or wood, but nothing that customers say is a deal breaker.
From what I can see, VivaTerra provides excellent customer service and high-quality products.
Is VivaTerra Legit?
Online shopping can be a big question mark. It’s hard to know who to trust and that’s exactly why this section of my VivaTerra review exists, to give you a little peace.
While reading through reviews, I kept an eye out for red flags about shipping, refunds, false charges, or basically any other nightmare normally associated with online ordering.
There aren’t many VivaTerra reviews in general, which means there are even fewer negative reviews. That doesn’t mean issues can’t happen, so I checked in with the Better Business Bureau.
The two complaints there were about back-ordered items, and it’s worth noting that they took place in 2020.
While any complaint made to the BBB is serious, the fact that the only reported issues happened during one of the most chaotic years of our time tells me that this isn’t typical for VivaTerra.
Is VivaTerra Worth It?
It’s easy for me to get behind companies with a sustainability focus, but that’s not the only reason I’d recommend shopping with VivaTerra.
Yes, their products are more costly than the ones you’d find at IKEA or Walmart, but they’re handmade by artisans who create them to last.
VivaTerra also gets high marks across the board in terms of feedback, and unlike so many other furniture brands out there, they didn’t have mass reports of shipping issues.
Customers report that their products are of exceptional quality, and I love that, as a brand, they have high values that they stick to.
