You know as well as I do that seeing and feeling are two very different things when it comes to furniture. Because of the convenience, it’s so much easier to shop online than it is to drag yourself to a furniture store.

Since our featured brand doesn’t have a physical shop, we’ve got to rely on customer feedback online to get a sense of what their products are really like.

In this section of my Sofamania review, I scoured the web for helpful comments and ratings to get an accurate image of what shopping with them is really like.

There’s definitely some good feedback on the brand’s site, so let’s start with a Sofamania review for the Amanda XL Modern Velvet Oversized Sectional Sofa:

“My daughter purchased this sectional for her very first apartment. It’s very nice. She loves it. It took some time to assemble but in the end, she was very proud of it and happy with her purchase.” 

Some say the furniture is tricky to put together but others say it’s easy. Most people say they are pleased with how their furniture looks and are very satisfied with the price. Let’s see what else we can find on the web.

The next place I checked for feedback was SiteJabber. There, Sofamania averages 3.7/5 stars from 415 reviews. The site said that “most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases” and that the brand ranks 30th among furniture companies.

That should show you that even the most popular sofa brands receive mid-range scores online.

This is what one customer wrote in their Sofamania review on SiteJabber: “I ordered a Joanne Classic Linen Sectional, although it took me some time to put together, it was exactly what I wanted. Very heavy furniture and well made. I love it!”

Another said that they received their order on time and reported impressive customer service. So far, the kind of feedback appears consistent across the sources we’ve looked at so far, but I’ll dive into one more Sofamania review for good measure.

This one comes from Trustpilot where the brand scored 3.4/5 stars after 67 comments.

While this seems like a mediocre score, 70% of shoppers gave it a 4 or 5-star rating. That’s really not bad. Here’s what one customer had to say in their Sofamania review:

“This is a wonderful sofa that I purchased from your store. I like the color, comfort, material as well as customer service however I had a slight issue with the description of the item. Still, it’s worth the price that I paid for and moreover, everyone at my home liked it.”

I’ll be honest, the feedback for this brand isn’t super impressive, but it is consistent. It’s clear to me that Sofamania isn’t a luxury furniture retailer, but that’s why people choose it.

Its products are decent. They’re not super high quality, but they do the trick for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on a great-looking couch.

Is Sofamania Legit?

I aim to make my Sofamania review as transparent as possible, so naturally, that means filling you in on any red flags that pop up in my research.

You probably noticed in the last section that across review sites, the brand gets a slightly above-average score, which isn’t all that rare for an online furniture company.

Of course, that score means a chunk of Sofamania reviews reported below-average service, and though I found many positive comments for them as well, I can’t ignore the number of negative ones.

To see how the brand deals with customer issues, I consulted their Better Business Bureau profile, and it turns out, they have an A+ score and just three complaints made in the last year (41 in the last three years). 

So we know that they respond to and resolve customer issues, but what are the issues in the first place? Most write in about troubles with getting a refund, contacting customer service, and the quality of their products.

It’s a classic “you get what you pay for” situation, but even so, I was glad to see that they’ve stepped up their customer service presence and have improved over the last year.

That means that if you do encounter an issue with one of their products and it falls under warranty, it looks like they will refund your money.

Is Sofamania Worth It?

Some of the most popular furniture stores have mid-range feedback online. Why? Because shipping furniture will always be tricky, no matter who you buy it from.

What I looked for in feedback was how Sofamania deals with customer issues, the quality of their products, and if they indeed look like how they’re pictured online.

From what I can see, Sofamania delivers their products on time with very few mentions of late shipments. Their sofas look as advertised online, and while their quality isn’t always top-notch, they offer refunds when issues occur. 

By no means is Sofamania a flawless brand, but none ever are. Its advantages come in the form of very low prices and really good-looking furniture. If those two things are high on your list, I’d recommend checking them out.

• Delivery can take 5-14 business days

If you are not home, they will not deliver your order. Instead, you will get a missed delivery notification and they will call or email you to set up another delivery date.

Sofamania offers a 30-day warranty on all of its products. It isn’t a long one, but it does give you enough time to try out your couch or bed and assess it for structural integrity, damage, and such.

Here are the details of the policy below:

1. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee
2. Your order number, phone number, email, and name must match what’s on the order you wish to return
3. You must include all of the original packaging with your order
4. All items must be in their original, unassembled condition

Once you contact customer service with all of the correct information, they will set up a time to collect them from you. To get your items ready for collection, ensure that they are disassembled and packed well within their original boxes.

When Sofamania receives your items back at their warehouse, they will inspect them. If approved, you will receive a refund minus the 20% restocking fee. It can take 3-5 business days for your refund to show up in your account.
