About BRUNT Workwear

Brunt Workwear Review

There are tools you work with and then there are tools you wear. BRUNT Workwear makes the second kind. Comfortable, protective, and hard-working, its collection of boots, apparel, and accessories. Finally, there are tools you wear, that work as hard as you do.

As a relatively new brand, it’s impressive how much attention BRUNT Workwear has received in its first two years of business. Comfort that speaks for itself and affordable prices will do that kind of thing… Plus, it’s already has been featured in major publications like Men’s Health, GearJunkie and Forbes.

So far, so good? Well, I’m just getting this BRUNT boots review started. Ahead, you can expect a full rundown of the brand and what it offers, along with feedback, promotions, and more.

Overview Of BRUNT Workwear

Brunt Workwear Review

The story of BRUNT Workwear starts with Eric Girouard, the brand’s CEO and founder who spent many of his teenage summers landscaping and roofing. Fed up with uncomfortable workwear that cost a fortune, in 2020 inspired by his buddies in the trades, he decided enough was enough and launched his own brand that did things differently.

BRUNT Workwear specializes in making shoes and apparel that are truly comfortable and can keep up with the toughest jobs. By choosing to sell to customers directly online, the brand is able to keep its prices low so you can save more of your hard-earned cash.

Since this is a BRUNT boots review, I’ll mostly be sharing details about the brand’s work shoes. But I’ll sneak in a few facts about its work pants and hoodies too. Let’s get on with it.

BRUNT Boots Review

BRUNT makes six different types of boots. Some feature a safety toe, others are electrical-hazard rated, and all are waterproof, durable, meet ASTM F2892-18 standards, and let’s not forget, are actually comfortable. Below, I’ll tell you all about the brand’s bestselling styles.

BRUNT Boots The Marin (Soft Toe) Review

The Marin (Soft Toe) boots are about as technical as you can get. Each detail is there for a reason. They’re waterproof, electrical hazard-rated, and slip and oil-resistant.

These are one of the brand’s most popular styles of boots. They’re super comfortable and easy to wear on the job but still provide the level of protection you need. Made with an industry-leading rubber-skinned sole and full-grain leather, they’re triple-layered to ensure no water gets through. These 6” high boots come in sizes 7-14 and regular or wide widths for $135.

What customers say: “They look and feel good, they also look well-made.” – Fred Araiza, bruntworkwear.com

BRUNT Boots The Marin (Comp Toe) Review

For jobs that require a safety toe, The Marin (Comp Toe) has you covered. With a toe made from composite materials, though they’re protective, they still manage to be lightweight. As for their design, these full-grain leather boots are double-stitched for durability and triple-layered for waterproofing.

Made with a rubber-skinned sole, they’re slip and oil-resistant and electrical-hazard rated. Plus, they feature a rubber foam midsole to help absorb shock. Measuring 6” high, these boots are ideal for builders and construction workers and have the look of a classic, hard-working boot.

Adjust yours from a regular to a relaxed width by taking out the fray insert. You can purchase a pair in sizes 7-14 for $145.

What customers say: “I work in a factory. I am on my feet 98% of the time. I usually work 10-12 hour days. Before these boots when I would get halfway through my shift my feet and knees would be killing me. Now I can make it all day, without any pain.” – Joshua Day, bruntworkwear.com

BRUNT Boots The Ryng Review

The Ryng is one of BRUNT’s more heavy-duty styles. Made with thick tread for real traction, they’re resistant to slips and oil and made with a safety toe that’s strong but lightweight.

Measuring 6” tall, the boots have extra cushioning around the ankles and can be adjusted to give you more room. To free up some space, just take out the gray insert. As with all BRUNT boots, The Ryng are waterproof and electrical-hazard-rated but still breathable.

Recommended for those on tougher job sites, they can handle scuffs and scratches with ease. Get a pair in sizes 7-14 for $135.

What customers say: “Surprisingly comfortable and light weight considering they are real work boots. Most importantly, because I’m on my feet 10-12 hours a day, that at the end of the day, my feet feel relatively good.” – 1Lonewolf, bruntworkwear.com

BRUNT Boots The Perkins Review

Heavy duty needs? Call on The Perkins. They offer full protection from hazards on the job site but don’t skimp on comfort. Made with a durable safety toe cap and heel guard, these full-grain leather 6” beauts are lightweight and won’t steal your energy.

They’re also triple-layered to keep them waterproof and equipped with an industry-leading rubber sole and serious traction tread to prevent slips. And if you need more space, simply take out the gray insert.

Enjoy comfort features like a padded collar, high-quality cement construction, and composite shank. Pick up a pair in sizes 7-14 for $155.

What customers say:Excellent boots. Last pair lasted a couple years of daily use.” – Ryan Hostetetler, bruntworkwear.com

BRUNT Boots The Bolduc Review

Not a fan of laces? The Bolduc slides on and off easily. Rising 9” high, they’re protective and lightweight thanks to a composite nanosafety toe. Fitted with a shock-absorbing midsole, don’t be surprised if your feet and knees feel great all day long.

The Bolduc boots come in sizes 7-14 and though you can buy them in regular and wide widths, you can get a little more wiggle room in each by taking out the gray insert. Get yours for $155.

What customers say: “Damn good boots.” – Joe Williams, bruntworkwear.com

BRUNT Boots The Shelvin Hoodie Review

Some days call for a great hoodie. And The Shelvin Hoodie certainly delivers. Available in four colors—like black and hunter green—this thick, durable sweatshirt will help get you through your day.

It’s made from 360 GMS weighted fabric, features a hard hat-compatible hood, and has a large middle pocket and a hidden tech pocket for storage. Get yours in sizes S-3X for $60.

What customers say: “Overall great Sweatshirt! A friend asked me where I had gotten it and ended up buying one for himself.” – Matthew Cannefex, bruntworkwear.com

BRUNT Boots The Torra Pants Review

If you’re tired of restrictive work pants you have to keep pulling up, it might be time to invest in a decent pair. Thankfully, made with 2-way stretch and articulated knees, The Torra Pants are just as affordable as they are flexible.

Featuring a total of five pockets to stash your essentials, they’re also built with a reinforced tool clip patch and belt loops and can stand up to a hard day’s work on the job site. An easy pick for everyday wear, purchase a pair in sizes 26-42 for $60 in brown, tan, charcoal, or khaki.

BRUNT Boots Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Brunt Workwear Review

The thing about work boots is that they have to be able to pull their weight. While BRUNT Workwear offers theirs for lower prices than you’d pay with other brands, saving the money isn’t going to be worth it if they just quit on you after a few months.

To find out what its boots are really like, this section of my BRUNT boots review will be dedicated to customer feedback. We’ll start by viewing some ratings from the brand’s site.

  • The Perkins: 4/5 stars based on 1,285 reviews
  • The Ryng: 4.5/5 stars based on 1,997 reviews
  • The Marin (Comp Toe): 4.5/5 stars based on 2,152 reviews
  • The Marin (Soft Toe): 4.5/5 stars based on 2,418 reviews

Looking into the comments for The Marin (Soft Toe) boots, buyers said the boots were “surprisingly comfortable” and exceeded their expectations. Here’s one BRUNT boots review that sums up this general opinion very well.

I usually wear summer casual hikers or logging boots around the ranch. I felt the need for a comfortable soft toe work boot and found these. I’m happy with them as they are comfortable and have held up well so far. No regrets.

Heading over to Judge.me, BRUNT Workwear has an overall rating of 4.5/5 stars from 13,331 shoppers. The Marin (Soft Toe) boots were awarded 4.6/5 stars from 2,427 customers.

These are the best boots I have ever worn from comfort to longevity. I build garages and shops, lots of walking on uneven ground, up and down ladders, they are even great on roofs. My last pair I had for a year and they still aren’t completely worn out. Can’t say enough,” one customer professed in their BRUNT boots review.

It’s safe to say these boots are comfortable and durable, and it looks like The Marin (Soft Toe) boots are the brand’s most popular style. To get an opinion of the brand overall, however, I checked out a BRUNT boots review thread on Reddit. Here’s a comment I found there:

I have a pair of their boots (not the moctoe, but black with rubber outer toe cap). I’ve had them about 5 months now, and use them every day for work. They are comfortable. The composite toe has held up. They are still waterproof. They offer good grip, on oily surfaces, roofs, and everything in-between.”

Experts say that the most you’ll likely get out of your work boots is one year of use—or 15,000 km. From the BRUNT boots reviews I found online, that’s how long it sounds like most have theirs for. While I did run into some who mentioned shorter bouts of wear, this may depend on the style of boot you buy and the kind of work you do.

Is BRUNT Workwear Legit?

Brunt Workwear Review

BRUNT Workwear is definitely a legit brand and is really popular. The biggest issue I saw customers run into was about how these boots hold up to really tough jobs. Other than that, those who do a lot of physical labor, kneeling, dropping things, etc., say they expect to get a year of wear from them and they’re comparable to Timberland’s professional line.

Are BRUNT Boots Worth It?

Brunt Workwear Review

BRUNT work boots are comfortable, protective, and affordable. Thousands of customers love them. That’s all I need to know to say that they’re 100% worth buying.
