Overview of Po Campo

Po Campo Review

By the time Maria Boustead returned to Chicago after studying in Germany, she had developed a love for biking. The problem: she couldn’t find a bag that met her needs on and off her bike. An industrial designer, Boustead put her schooling to good use and created a bag that did.

Deciding to make a bag that was not only practical but stylish as well, she created one that clipped right onto her bike, then easily clipped off so she can carry it throughout her day. Po Campo was founded in 2009 and 2018, decided it was high time to integrate sustainable materials into her line.

Earlier this year, they upgraded 80% of their lining to Repreve® fabric made from water bottles and introduced Visi-Hemp® reflective materials, the world’s first reflective, organic hemp fabric, and recycled ripstop into the line.

Po Campo Bags for Bike Review

Po Campo’s best-selling bags all have unique and convenient features. Some have tons of pockets and others are made with reflective materials to make sure you’re seen at night. All of them are designed to work on and off your bike. Let’s take a look.

Po Campo Kinga Handlebar Bag 2 Review

Not every journey requires a full backpack of stuff. The Kinga Handlebar Bag 2 is perfect for smaller loads when all you need are the necessities. Currently available in flora or chevron patterns, or simple black or red colors, this great-looking bag stands out in the best way possible.

It’s totally waterproof too and easily attaches onto your handlebars with heavy duty hook-and-loop straps. Adjustable to fit your bike, when it’s time to head into the store, you can detach it and wear it as a crossbody.

The Kinga has 6 water-resistant zippered pockets that fit your smartphone and other bits and bobs. While you probably won’t be loading too much into this compact bag, it can hold up to 15lbs. The coolest part? When night falls, you’ll have built-in reflective gear, ensuring you stay seen on the road. Get the Biking Red color for $40, marked down from its usual $55 price tag, while supplies last.

Po Campo Bergen Pannier Review

If you do a lot of riding, pannier bags are essential. They strap right onto the side of your bike and take the load off your back. Below, I’ll walk you through the details of the brand’s best-selling pannier bag, the Po Campo Bergen Pannier 2.

Po Campo Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Po Campo Review

Feedback is an essential part of my Po Campo review, and here, I’ll tell you what customers think about the brand and its products. First, let’s check out some ratings from the brand’s website:

  • Bergen Pannier 2: 4.6/5 stars, 117 reviews
  • Ara Reflective Backpack: 4.8/5 stars, 11 reviews
  • Kinga Handlebar Bag 2: 4.7/5 stars, 275 reviews

The Kinga Handlebar Bag looks to be the brand’s most popular design, so I dove into the comments for that product to find out why. One Po Campo review read:

“First, the bag is adorable. Functionally – it hooks onto my (small) handlebars way better than any other bag I have had. There are many compartments inside where I have stashed items I don’t need to get to. There is a front zippered part that I have put my must-have items.”

A bag without compartments is like a cake without frosting. They make it waaay better. The design of the Kinga is what folks seem to love most about it, but they also reported a sturdy construction and truly waterproof fabric.

Stepping off of the brand’s site and onto Amazon. I checked into the feedback for the Bergen Pannier Bike Bag. This is the 1st-gen model of the bag, by the way, and it’s rated 4.4/5 stars by 38 shoppers.

One Po Campo review read: “LOVE THIS BAG! It is incredibly well-made, super cute, and perfect for functionality. I’ve only had this bag for about 3 weeks, but I know it is going to last me forever based on how well it is made and how high quality the material is.”

“Super cute” is a commonly used phrase among Po Campo reviews, which means that folks appreciated that these bags are as stylish as they are functional. Do others agree? I turned to REI to find out.

On REI’s online site, the Kinga Handlebar Bag 2 averaged 4.3/5 stars from 16 reviews. One happy customer loved its size:

“I have the blue Kinga handlebar bag and I love it! It holds my wallet, phone, keys, and snacks perfectly. Just what you need for a bike ride around town for a few hours. It is high quality and made with great components. Lots of pockets and then it is easy to take on and off the bike if I want to switch it to be like a purse.”

The reflective nature of the Po Campo bags is a big selling point as well. When you’re on your bike at night or in the early hours of the morning, you need all of the reflective gear you can get. It can be lifesaving. From what I’ve learned from Po Campo reviews online, their bags are loved for their design, durability, and function

Is Po Campo Legit?

Po Campo Review

While gathering feedback for my Po Campo review, I noticed that this brand has very little negative feedback. It’s not completely flawless, but the biggest issue I could find is that their older-generation bags had faulty clips. They have since updated their bags and problems like this are covered under warranty. All signs are a go for Po Campo.

Is Po Campo Worth It?

Po Campo Review

Some of the best products on this planet were created to solve a problem. In my opinion, Po Campo makes some of them. Their bags are tough, waterproof, and functional, equipped with enough space and pockets for all of your essentials.

I also like that the brand offers a sustainable line made from recycled plastic bottles. Po Campo bags may not be cheap, but they’re definitely worth it if you commute daily on a bike.
