Features

Leaf Filter Gutter Guards offer several features that are designed to provide effective gutter protection:

  1. Micro Mesh Technology: Leaf Filter Gutter Guards utilize a micro mesh screen that is engineered to block even the smallest debris, such as pine needles and shingle grit while allowing rainwater to flow freely into the gutters. The micro mesh is precision-engineered to prevent clogging and ensure efficient water drainage.
  2. Custom Fit: Leaf Filter Gutter Guards are custom measured and installed to fit your specific gutters. This ensures a precise fit and optimal performance, as each gutter guard is tailored to the unique dimensions of your home’s gutters.
  3. High-Quality Materials: The gutter guards are typically constructed from high-quality materials such as stainless steel or aluminum. These materials are durable, weather-resistant, and designed to withstand the elements, including heavy rain, snow, and UV exposure.
  4. Reinforced Frame: Leaf Filter Gutter Guards feature a reinforced frame that adds strength and stability to the system. The frame helps to maintain the shape and integrity of the gutter guards, ensuring long-lasting performance and resistance to sagging or warping over time.
  5. Self-Cleaning Design: The micro mesh screen of Leaf Filter Gutter Guards is designed to shed debris and promote self-cleaning. As rainwater flows over the gutter guards, the debris is typically washed away, reducing the need for manual cleaning and maintenance.
  6. Compatibility: Leaf Filter Gutter Guards are compatible with various types of gutters, including traditional open gutters, curved gutters, and box gutters. This makes them suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial gutter systems.
  7. Warranty: Leaf Filter Gutter Guards often come with a warranty that provides coverage for defects in materials or workmanship. The specific warranty terms and duration may vary, so it’s important to review the warranty details provided by the company.

How Does Leaf Filter Work?

Leaf Filter Gutter Guards Review

Gutters are designed to divert rainwater away from the base of your home with the help of downspouts. In order to do their job effectively, gutters must be clear of debris. They also need to be properly pitched towards the downspouts to guide the flow of rainwater.

When water collects at the base of your home, it can cause huge issues for the foundation, including rotting fascia and soffit, mold, and mildew.

Other possible problems are basement flooding, driveway heaving, landscape erosion, insect and pest infestations, and roof damage. Such a simple problem can cause big consequences!

If you have sagging, leaking gutters, or if they’re blocked with twigs, they most likely aren’t working. For some, quickly cleaning their gutters isn’t the easiest option.

You might have physical limitations, or just don’t want to do it (honestly, it’s not the most fun, safe, or clean chore to get done).

For the sake of this Leaf Filter gutter guards review, let’s say you’re able to go ahead and clean your gutters. Great, but, that doesn’t stop your eaves from clogging up again and again. Leaf Filter is a one-time installation that protects your home from all of the above issues.

Leaf Filter’s patented 3-piece system lets water pass through, and keeps dregs and litter out. Made from 275 Micron steel mesh, the gutter guard is guaranteed to never rust

The Leaf Filter mesh size is extremely small, ensuring that unwanted particles don’t cross, or get tangled in its threshold. The surgical steel mesh is framed by uPVC, a durable material that will never warp or deteriorate.

The frame has a built-in pitch that helps your gutter system shed leaves and trash, keeping it away from the eaves. Leaf Filter also installs hidden hangers to your fascia boards to support your gutter and strengthen it for the long run.

The Leaf Filter Gutter Guards are effective because of these 3 components:

  1. Surface tension encourages water through the micro mesh and into your gutter
  2. Built-in pitch that lets your gutter get rid of debris easily
  3. Negates damage as the system is completely sealed and durable, standing up to the heavy accumulation of sticks, twigs, and leaves

The Leaf Filter provides protection from dirt, pollen, shingle grit, and pine needles, and is a much better alternative to other gutter guard inserts, such as brush or foam. For example, foam inserts can grow mold and mildew, and end up clogging your gutter even more.

When you choose Leaf Filter, you’ll get a lifetime transferable warranty, and a team of professionals on call from start to finish. This Leaf Filter gutter guards review will break down what’s involved in their Gutter Protection system.

What size gutter do I need to have it installed?

Gutters covers plug up constantly and require cleaning more often than gutters ever did. Company contacts long on excuses and short on results. I just want them off my house and a refund- in the meantime I will continue slagging this company on any and every forum I find.

Sales person LIED about my existing gutters causing roof damage….and that Leaf Filter installers would fix the existing roof damage. When installer came out he said there was no roof damage and even if there was, he would not be able to fix it. Then got Sales Manager Aaron on the phone where he went along with what his sales person said about me having roof damage when he has never seen my property and when I told him that his installers said I didn’t have any roof damage then Aaron backpeddled on what he had said. Then he continued to insult me on the phone with interrupting me and talking over me. Then I called Corporate to complain about all of it and got Zach, Corporate Installation Mgr of NE and he called me (2) days later to say that I would be getting a $600 credit for my troubles and now it is (20) days later and still don’t have the credit. Everyone lies and don’t do what they say they will and rip people off.

I loved their sales pitch and thought paying extra for a superior product and excellent service would be worth it. The problem was excellent service never materialized. They took the money and installed the gutter guards, but they didn’t align them or seal the gutters that were leaking.

Hope this post can convince someone to look elsewhere for gutter guards.

I had the system installed on my home in October 2019,it does not catch all the rain when it is raining hard and I have a leaking corner that needs to be recaulked under the guard. I called service and was told it would cost me $95 for someone to come fix it, I am 67 years old and I think after I spent $7,000.00 it would be covered, I guess it’s time to put my ladder up contrary to their commercials “when leaf filter goes up your ladder goes down “ BS

Our Leafilter installation was a failure from the start. Heavy rain just runs right over the screen making them useless in heavy storms which is of course when you need gutters the most. Pollen clogs the screen, and then after a year or two the mesh starts to rip off. Ours was hanging from the gutters everywhere. Company blamed the installer. Installer was nowhere to be found by then. Terrible product. Do not buy. Better to just pay a gutter cleaning company.

Poor sales and customer service. Now have a constant drip that wasn’t there before the install. The salesman wanted a decision before he left and the price was only good for that day. Install kept being delayed and now the drip. No one will return the call or pick up the phone when calling customer service. Not worth the hassel.

I have had problems since my LeafGuard system was installed in July 2020. I have 0VER 200 photos of the problems at my home most recent today 6/12/21. I have had 6 service calls, 3 installations, gutter damage, exterior home damage and interior home damage. Yet, despite emails and calls no one responds. I don’t think they intend to respond. I think they just want me to go away.

The problem with any gutter gaurd system including this one, is that the screens lay flat across the gutter, this allows some debris to be blown off but some will stay, accumulating until it forms a barrier and thats when water falls happen. If they were actually smart, they would design them better

DO NOT DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I have to put one star but in reality it’s a zero. I purchase this system over a year and half ago and I have been trying to get someone to come and repair the water fall that it creates. It does not catch the water it lets the water run over the screen and makes it look like a waterfall from the roof. So since July of 2020 I been calling the local representative and I was getting the runaround. I finally was able to get someone to come out in November 2020 and I’ve told him to take the system out and refund my money. He says that he has to speak to the District manager for that to happen. Well It’s now May 2021 and no one has called, emailed, or even come by. I have been calling and leaving messages and still nothing. If anything I’m getting the runaround again. This company has a very bad costumer service and I will not recommend them to anyone at all. Also I will continue to post my comments on every social media that I can fine. Yes that’s how bad this company is. DO NOT DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM YOU WILL REGRET IT.
