About Sunday Lawn Care

Sunday Lawn Care Review

I have to admit, I often complain about the work and time it takes to keep my lawn healthy and flourishing. A serious amateur when it comes to horticulture and landscaping, I wouldn’t exactly say I have a green thumb.

There are countless products that claim to be “the perfect, one-stop fix” for dry, dead lawns, but how am I, or anyone for that matter, supposed to know what actually works? The folks at Sunday Lawn Care do.

An annual subscription service that provides products and tools, it takes the guesswork out of grass maintenance so I don’t have to compare soils at the home center.

Offering weed control solutions and grass seed packs, this helpful service has more than proven its worth as reported in publications like Forbes, Fortune, and Daily Beast.

But is their lawn maintenance line really worth the buy? In this Sunday Lawn Care review, I’ll help you find that out. Taking you deep into the company’s roots and stems, it may just be the one-stop fix we’ve all been searching for.

Why You Should Trust Us

Our mission is to help you make better, more informed purchase decisions.

Our team spends hours researching, consulting with medical experts, gathering insight from expert professionals, reviewing customer feedback, and analyzing products to provide you with the information you need.

Overview Of Sunday Lawn Care

Sunday Lawn Care Review

Just like me, Coulter Lewis found himself overwhelmed with the various kinds of lawn-related paraphernalia at his local home improvement store.

All he wanted was to purchase the best product available to take care of his lawn at his new home, yet, the process was unnecessarily frustrating.

Taking matters into his own hands, Coulter joined forces with his brother Trent and founded Sunday Lawn Care

But I discovered that Sunday Lawn Care isn’t just another pesticide-pushing company.

Instead of going the route of traditional lawn care maintenance (which lays down 90,000,000 pounds of pesticides a year), Sunday Lawn Care uses custom nutrients and cutting plant science to help healthy grass naturally grow. It’s a smarter and undeniably healthier solution to the less-than-lush lawn outside my window.

The Lewis brothers didn’t stop there, they brought on board Frank Rossi (the lawn maintenance pro for the Yankee Stadium in NYC) as their chief science officer. He’s there as a watchful eye to help keep their lawn care service in check.

Based on the belief that you can take care of your lawn with environmentally safe products, here’s what the folks at Sunday Lawn Care say when it comes to their trade:

Your little plot of land is more than a great place to relax. It’s home to the birds, the bees, and, well, a whole ecosystem.” I like that the people that would be caring for my lawn actually care about the earth—that means something to me.

Of course, it turns out that they’re just genuinely good people, as additionally, a portion of their sales goes to organizations that help “people reconnect with nature and preserve important habits across the country like tallgrass prairie.”

Now that you know a little more about the faces behind the brand, I’ll move on to how the service actually works.

How It Works

Sunday Lawn Care Review

Your Sunday Lawn Care plan is customized to fit the needs of your lawn specifically. This makes sense to me considering the many differences that come into play.

The first step: input your address and the brand will begin your free soil, climate, and lawn analysis. This will pinpoint exactly what your lawn needs in each season.

And here’s where it gets really cool: using satellite imagery, the team at Sunday Lawn Care will measure your lawn to help decide the number of products that need to be sent. They don’t even have to visit. Don’t mind me as I totally nerd out on lawn care here.

Afterward, you’ll be sent your own annual customized lawn plan, which includes 1-3 shipments of nutrients, all lawn tools needed, a free soil test, unlimited lawn support, and 1-10 nutrient pouches.

How’s that for thorough? Products such as grass powerhouse, lawn strong, and winter prep nutrient pouches may be included within your plan if needed.

After watching the instructional video on their website, I learned that Sunday Lawn Care even gives you a hose and sprayer.

All you need to do is to attach your nutrient pouches to the sprayer to distribute over your lawn. Like, how easy is that?—and it applies to any type of grass, from Kentucky Bluegrass to Saint Augustine.

Pros & Cons

Before moving things along in this Sunday Lawn Care review, let’s go over some of the brand’s pros and cons:

Pros

  • Personalized plans: Sunday Lawn Care creates a customized lawn care plan based on your specific soil, climate, and lawn type, which could lead to better results than a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • Natural and eco-friendly: Sunday Lawn Care uses natural and organic ingredients in their products, which could be a pro for people who want to avoid synthetic chemicals.
  • Convenient: Sunday Lawn Care delivers their products right to your door, which could be more convenient than going to a store to buy lawn care products.
  • Easy to use: Sunday Lawn Care provides step-by-step instructions for using their products, which could be helpful for people who are new to lawn care.

Cons

  • Results may vary: While Sunday Lawn Care’s personalized approach could lead to better results, there’s no guarantee that your lawn will look perfect.
  • Limited product selection: Sunday Lawn Care currently only offers a few products, so if you have more specific lawn care needs, you may need to supplement with additional products from another brand.

After perusing the website for this Sunday Lawn Care review, I found out the company offers 2 types of products alongside their lawn care plan.

It turns out that you can also buy Sunday Lawn weed care products such as Weed Warrior and Dandelion Doom. Sunday Lawn Care also sells grass seeds like Bermuda Time and Fescue Rescue

Coming up soon in my Sunday Lawn Care review, I’ll go over each of these products and services in detail so that you know exactly what you’re getting. From there, you can decide if they’re the right fit for you. Deal? Let’s get to it.

Features

Sunday Lawn Care Review

Here are some of the features of Sunday Lawn Care:

  1. Soil analysis: Sunday Lawn Care provides a soil analysis test kit to customers, which they can use to collect a soil sample from their lawn. The company then analyzes the soil to determine its pH level, nutrient levels, and other important factors that can affect the health of the lawn.
  2. Personalized lawn care plan: Based on the results of the soil analysis and other information about the customer’s lawn, Sunday Lawn Care creates a customized lawn care plan. The plan includes recommendations for fertilization, weed control, and other treatments that are tailored to the specific needs of the lawn.
  3. Organic and natural products: Sunday Lawn Care uses organic and natural products in its lawn care treatments, which are safe for children, pets, and the environment. The company also offers a fully organic lawn care plan for customers who want to avoid synthetic chemicals.
  4. Easy-to-use app: Sunday Lawn Care has an easy-to-use app that customers can use to manage their lawn care plans. The app provides reminders for upcoming treatments, allows customers to track the progress of their lawn, and provides access to customer support.
  5. Money-back guarantee: Sunday Lawn Care offers a money-back guarantee to customers who are not satisfied with the results of their lawn care plan.

Sunday Lawn Care Smart Lawn Plan Review

Though my grass has been a great audience, I don’t think it’s benefitting from our chats. With the Smart Lawn Plan, I learned that customers can give their lawns all the plant nutrition and care they need to stay healthy and green—personal monologues optional.

After receiving your soil, climate, and lawn test analysis, you’ll receive your own customized lawn maintenance plan chock full of nutrient pouches, lawn tools, and information booklets.

I think it’s also worth noting here that this is an annual subscription service, so you’ll receive shipments to see you through the year.

What’s in a nutrient pouch? Oh, just everything your lawn needs to thrive like organic ingredients such as seaweed, iron, potassium, recycled produce, and even molasses. All things that ensure your grass stays greener than your neighbor’s side. Take that, Mr. Sanders.

I found this especially encouraging to know, since traditional home improvement nutrients may contain pesticides and herbicides that could be harmful to the environment and your family. The last thing you need is to worry about your little ones playing in the backyard.

For a yearly subscription priced at $89, the Sunday Lawn Care Smart Lawn Plan makes yard work feel like a walk in the park.

Sunday Lawn Care Weed Control Review

When spring is right around the corner, the impending growth of dandelions and other unwanted weeds could be cultivating slowly in your lawn. I know the showdown all too well, often, letting them rule the turf instead of spraying toxic herbicides.

Instead of subjecting yourself to an afternoon of weeding your lawn, the Sunday Lawn Care Weed Control service can easily do the job for you. How, you ask?

First up is the Weed Warrior, ‘the organic powerhouse’ weed control spray. It kills unwanted grass, weeds, algae, and moss with results that can be seen in 20 minutes. Sorry weeds, you just have to go.

The Weed Warrior contains organic herbicidal soap and is available in concentrated form. I much prefer this to the toxic stuff, but I wondered how it actually worked before quickly finding this:

This weed killer concentrate works by “penetrating the waxy cuticle of plants, causing the plant to dehydrate and die.” It can kill weeds such as white clover, thistle, English daisies, and more. A 2-pack of Weed Warrior spray bottles retails for $24.

Their second weed control formula is called Dandelion Doom, which kills most broadleaf weeds and is derived from iron. I was impressed to find that I would see results in as little as 20 minutes.

How does Dandelion Doom work? According to Sunday Lawn Care, “broadleaf weeds absorb Dandelion Doom easily and in larger quantities than grass does, which leads to cellular damage and ultimate plant death in broadleaf weeds while grass remains unharmed.”

The Dandelion Doom Spray costs $24 for two bottles

If you’re curious to try both, while writing this Sunday Lawn Care review, I found that you can get one of each for $24. Dandelion Doom and Weed Warrior are not included in their lawn plans but are available as add-ons.

Sunday Lawn Care Seeds Review

If you find your lawn to be looking quite ‘bald’ (an apt term, I know) the Sunday Lawn Care program also sells its own brand of grass seeds. Currently, they offer selections including:

  1. Fescue Rescue
  2. Kentucky’s Best
  3. Shade Select
  4. Bermuda Time
  5. Lucky Lawn

Looking for a good collection of grass seeds? I’ve found their Premium Grass Seed selection to be the best way forward.

It’s a blend of elite varieties of grass seed with increased drought resistance, greater water efficiency rates, and stronger fungal resistance

Take, for instance, Fescue Rescue, a pro-quality grass seed that grows dense green and drought-tolerant lawns. I personally take comfort in the 99.9% weed-free guarantee. For $34, you can snag a 5lb bag.

Sunday Lawn Care Review

I’ve found their grass seeds to vary by region. Packs like Bermuda Time are optimal for southern regions while Lucky Lawn is ideal for northern transitional regions. Sunday Lawn Care will also indicate which needs more sunshine or more watering.

In addition, Sunday also provides charts of how much seed is needed for overseeding and how much seed is needed for the amount of lawn space provided.

While researching for this Sunday Lawn Care review, I learned that their grass seed packs are independent of their lawn care plans, and vary in price from $34$49

Sunday Lawn Care Before and After

Sunday Lawn Care Review

Does Sunday Lawn Care really work? That’s a question I really want to answer and so I did what anyone else would, and turned my attention to reviews.

For my own Sunday Lawn Care review, I’m happy to report that customers are generally impressed by how healthy their grass looks when using the service and its products. Most subscribers commented on how fast healthy grass grew and how easy the process was. Sounds like a winner to me.

Sunday Lawn Care Review

To give you an idea of the kind of results typical from the brand, I found a Sunday Lawn Care review that sums them up well. It reads:

Sunday lawn fertilizer was exactly what I needed to take care of my newly sodded lawn when I bought my home earlier this year. Instructions were clear and the lawn care experts were super helpful. I started a little late in the growing season but I already saw quick results. Will definitely renew my subscription.”

Sunday Lawn Care Review

Neighbors commented that these lawns are the best they’ve seen in 20 years. Customers even noted having received compliments on how beautiful their lawn looks.

“I’m almost one year in and now people from around the neighbourhood comment on my beautiful grass, almost feels like I’m back up north,” one Sunday Lawn Care reviewer wrote. How’s that for a before and after story?

Who Is Sunday Lawn Care For?

Sunday Lawn Care is for homeowners who want to achieve a healthy and lush lawn but may not have the time, knowledge, or resources to do so themselves.

It is also for those who want to take a more environmentally-friendly approach to lawn care. Sunday Lawn Care products are formulated to work with a wide range of grass types and soil conditions, making it suitable for homeowners across the United States.

Sunday Lawn Care Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Sunday Lawn Care Review

Is Sunday Lawn Care legit? I’m pleased to announce at this point in my Sunday Lawn Care review, the answer is yes. How do I know? Because the majority of its customers are happy with their service and products and say so as of April 2023.

On the brand’s website, I saw over 2,700 reviews, and 1,870 of them were 5/5 stars. The most common bit of feedback: Customers note that before, their lawns were brown, balding, and generally unhealthy.

But after implementing their Sunday Lawn Care plan, their lawns have never looked healthier, even after the cold seasons of winter and fall.

“We have lived in our house for 14 years and each year we’ve struggled with what to do to make our yard the healthiest it can be and not put chemicals into the ground to accomplish that. This year, with using Sunday, is the BEST it has ever been,” one Sunday Lawn Care reviewer wrote.

I also noted that customers were happy with the add-on products of grass seed and Sunday Lawn Care weed care products. Most report that they did the job just fine and resulted in beautiful, flourishing lawns.

“I used all their prescribed feeding solutions, overseeded with their new Shady Lawn blend and applied Dandelion Doom to get rid of the dandelions and moss. By October I had a beautiful green lawn with mostly grass, and with grass growth in places I could never get grass to grow,” one Sunday Lawn Care review says.

In terms of red flags and complaints I looked out for during this Sunday Lawn Care review, I discovered that most of the negative reviews were found on a Sunday Lawn Care reviews Reddit forum.

One customer reported that there were issues with missing shipments and faults in their pre-packaged hose and Sunday Lawn Care sprayer. Some users reported that their lawns didn’t improve after using their products.

Though this company provides the tools and instructions, it’s up to you to do the work. This is nature we’re dealing with here, so nothing is ever 100% guaranteed. All things considered, the feedback for this brand was still highly positive.

Is Sunday Lawn Care Worth It?

Sunday Lawn Care Review

Based on the product efficacy my research turned up for this Sunday Lawn Care review, I’d encourage you to try out their lawn care plan for yourself.

Going to home improvement stores can be daunting—especially when looking at the numerous types of fertilizer, seed, and nutrients that may or may not be harmful to you or your grass.

I’m in love with this company’s approach. Making it super easy for you by assessing your lawn’s needs and sending products, Sunday Lawn Care provides a fool-proof solution to brown, patchy, and dry grass.

Transparent about ingredients (which by the way are eco-friendly and safe) I appreciate knowing exactly what’s in each and feeling at ease about what I bring around my home.

From what I witnessed while writing this Sunday Lawn Care review and the majority of positive customer reviews, I think the chances are quite high when it comes to your lawn looking as green and healthy as ever.

Looking for more? Sunday Lawn Care also has a blog called The Shed, which includes helpful articles to aid in your ‘lawn resurrection’ process.

Articles such as ‘The Do’s and Don’t of Mowing’ and ‘How to Patch Bare Spots in Your Lawn’ are great add-on sources if you’re looking to learn more outside of your lawn care plan.
