About Ballsy

Ballsy Ball Wash Review

Ballsy is a men’s personal care company that helps your junk smell and feel a little less like, well… junk. Its selection includes natural ball deodorant, a refreshing spray, butt (and body) wash, and nut rubs. These products condition skin, absorb moisture, and have a subtle, fresh, and manly scent.

Creating a natural and effective product is bound to capture attention, which is why it is no surprise that the brand has been featured in notable publications like Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Forbes, BuzzFeed, and Men’s Journal.

Taking a peek at Ballsy’s Instagram page (and what could have been a cheesy opportunity for phallic puns), we found it to actually be quite tasteful, and the solid 45k follower count reflects its respectable approach.

This Ballsy ball wash review will take a close look at the brand, its best-selling products, customer testimonials, deals, FAQs, and more, to help you decide if this company’s personal care products are the right choice for your manly bits.

Overview of Ballsy

Ballsy Ball Wash Review

We’re just going to come right out and say it: balls can get sweaty and smelly. It’s an unavoidable fact that men know all too well. Using cologne, antiperspirant, and powder, guys all over the world try to combat this issue, but as you can imagine, using products that aren’t meant for sensitive skin come with issues of their own.

The solution appeared to be a natural, man-specific product, but there’s not a ton of natural body products for males on the market that actually work. One day while showering, Ballsy founder Adam Hendle pondered these things as he lathered up with a synthetic blue body wash that he had grabbed by default.

He wondered why he used a cheap and toxic body wash on his most “prized possessions, and after a short conversation with his wife, set out to create a product that actually did something good for his—and every man’s—body.

Creating Ballwash was a defining moment. Selecting natural ingredients that soothed skin and banished odors was one thing, but ensuring it was free of synthetics and chemicals was another.

But yet, in 2017, the brand launched its first-ever product into existence: Ballwash. A chemical-free, plant-powered personal wash that smelled clean, simple, and not overwhelming. Exactly what Adam was going for.

What Does Ballsy Smell Like?

Ballsy Ball Wash Review

You may think any old smell for your nuts will do, as long as it’s better than the situation you currently have going on. But deep down you know scent matters, and Ballsy knows that too.

Without overwhelming your boys with a strong cologne, the brand’s personal care products have a simple, clean, but masculine scent. The fragrances feature natural ingredients like aloe, cucumber, cedar, and lavender.

Ballsy Nut Rub (solid cologne), comes in six scents:

  1. Ocean & Air: bright, fresh, and zesty
  2. Drift & Dunes: smoky, spicy, and leathery
  3. Forest & Fields: uplifting, herbaceous, and peppery
  4. Sun & Surf: sunny, earthy, and musky
  5. Citrus & Cedar: smoky, spicy, and clean
  6. Smoke & Suede: woodsy, musky, and exotic

Now that you know about the varied selection of manly scents, we’re going to take a look at what the brand has to offer. In the next section of this Ballsy ball wash review, you’ll read about its collection of men’s personal care products and kits. For orders over $35, customers can use Afterpay.

Ballsy Ballguard Ball Deodorant Review

Baby powder is for babies that don’t sweat. It’s not a great choice for your balls. The Ballguard Ball Deodorant acts like a powder but doesn’t create the same mess.

This product comes in a 3.4oz tube of cream that, when applied, dries quickly and gives your boys a tingly, clean sensation—much like a cool breeze on a hot day. Working to reduce sweat and odor, this Ballsy deodorant uses the soothing powers of aloe and natural tapioca powder.

Safeguard your balls from sweat and stink with the Ballsy Ballguard Liquid Powder for $12.

Ballsy Ballwash Review

Stink happens, and so does dirt. With the way bodies are designed, it’s inevitable. But that doesn’t mean you have to be the smelly kid on the court.

The Ballwash takes care of odor, using charcoal to keep your stinkiest areas fresh for longer. Created for your butt, nuts, and body, use this wash all over to thoroughly clean and nourish your skin and tender bits with natural goodness.

Ingredients like coconut oil hydrate skin and prevent itching, while aloe and cucumber soothe irritation. Lavender and cedarwood oil are there for a balanced, fresh scent. An 8oz bottle of Ballwash is $15.

Ballsy Ballwash XL with Activated Charcoal Review

Charcoal gets all the nasties out, giving you a deep clean in areas that really need it. The Ballwash XL with Activated Charcoal uses the power of nature to extract dirt and grime from your pores, neutralize odors, and condition skin.

Ingredients like aloe, cucumber, and coconut oil team up to tackle irritation. Meanwhile, cedarwood and lavender are on team anti-stink.

Designed for use on your entire body, this 16oz bottle comes with a convenient pump. It’ll last you about two months and is currently on sale for $20 (normally $22).

Ballsy Sack Spray Refreshing Deodorizer Review

Have you ever stood stopped at a crosswalk with a warm summer breeze blowing across your face and all you can smell is your sweaty crotch? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

Times like those call for some Sack Spray—a convenient, travel-friendly 2oz bottle of natural refreshers like witch hazel, tea tree oil, and zinc ricinoleate. The zinc actually soaks up moisture while it deodorizes, so you can have better smelling and feeling balls instantly.

If you’re worried about irritants, don’t be, there aren’t any here. In fact, the Sack Spray Refreshing Deodorizer is pH balanced and contains only soothing plant extracts (think: aloe, green tea, and chamomile) to help your balls feel a little less like old, withered rawhide and more like a brand new, conditioned leather.

Freshen up down there with the Sack Spray for $15.

Ballsy Nut Rub Review

We don’t have to tell you that balls are notorious for smelling bad. The male anatomy lends itself to trapping odors, sweat, and bacteria, it’s just how it works. You can do everything short of walking around naked and still, the funkiness eventually emerges.

That’s the very reason Nut Rub was created. It’s a solid cologne that doesn’t just have to be used just on your nuts. It comes in an easy-to-use tin that fits well in small pockets of your gym bag or backpack, and technically your pocket if it’s that kind of a situation.

Just like all of its other products, Ballsy the rub solid cologne is totally safe for your balls. Its key ingredients include beeswax, coconut oil, and sunflower seed oil, which meld together to form a soft wax that glides on easily.

Choose from one of the six fragrances outlined in the previous section of this Ballsy ball wash review. Get it now for $15.

Ballsy Liquid Courage Hydrating Body Wash Review

Dryness happens to the best of us, but you don’t have to just live with it. For skin that needs a little pep talk, the Liquid Courage Hydrating Body Wash is here to help.

This body wash uses moisturizing jojoba spheres to gently exfoliate before bursting into teeny tiny waves of hydration. Aloe vera and coconut oil sweet-talk irritated skin, calm redness, and ensure your moisture levels stay a-okay throughout the day.

Available in three of the brand’s signature scents, this foaming 14oz body wash is $15.

Ballsy The Handy Shower Tool Review

Normal loofahs are… underwhelming. Whether it’s your girlfriend’s wet mop of a sponge or the washcloth you’ve been using for, hmm, say five years now, we’re just going to give it to you straight, they’re not doing anything for you.

The Handy Shower Tool creates more suds while sloughing off dead and dry skin. Secure it to your hand with a strap so you can get a thorough clean—not like that towel which involves more wiping than scrubbing.

Offered in manly black, notice how it feels to actually be clean with The Handy Shower Tool for $6 (normally $8).

Ballsy Kits Review

Kits are convenient bundles that allow you to get your favorite products in one swoop. So, in the following section of this Ballsy ball wash review, we’ll feature the brand’s best-selling kits that make it easy to buy and try its fan-favorites.

Ballsy No Sweat Kit Review

Summer is here and you know what that means… sweat. The No Sweat Kit combines the Ballguard Deodorant, Nut Rub Solid Cologne, and Sack Spray to help your manliness stay fresh and feel good in the heat.

Pack them into your work bag, gym kit, or backpack for use throughout the day. You can worry less about what your sack smells like and more on the road ahead with the Ballsy gift set No Sweat Kit for $40 (normally $42).

Ballsy Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Ballsy Ball Wash Review

So far, these products just make sense. They’re made with natural, skin-loving ingredients that sound like they’d do the trick. But, if you’re like us, you may be wondering if the sweat-reducing and odor-destroying products really work. If so, you’re in luck, because this is the part of the Ballsy ball wash review where we fill you in on real customer experiences.

Ahead, you’ll read testimonials collected from the brand’s website, the Better Business Bureau, and Style4Men that discuss some of Ballsy’s defining features.

On the company’s website, its top-selling products have been rated thousands of times. Collectively, its ball-loving washes, deodorizers, and rubs average an astounding 4.8/5-star rating. You’ll see what we found bullet-pointed below:

  • The Sack Pack: an average of 4.9/5 stars from 4k reviews
  • Nut Rub: an average of 4.8/5 stars from 1k reviews
  • Sack Spray Refreshing Deodorizer: an average of 4.8/5 stars from 284 reviews
  • Ballwash: an average of 4.7/5 stars from 1.9k reviews
  • Ballguard Ball Deodorant: an average of 4.9/5 stars from 798 reviews
Ballsy Ball Wash Review

We found the Ballguard Ball Deodorant to be, perhaps, the most controversial product the brand makes. Stopping sweat and busting odors with natural ingredients can either work or fail miserably. So, we decided to see what customers had to say about it.

Men love the way this product makes them feel. They say it dries quickly, goes on easily, and keeps them “fresh all day.”

One reviewer reports that it effectively combats chafing: “Ballguard has worked wonders and my legs no longer start to get irritated halfway through the day in the most humid and hottest days.” Chafing is definitely an issue when it comes to balls. Many men use normal deodorant, but it’s not made for that area! It’s great to have one that was specially made for a man’s body

Though there are only 13 (out of 798) customers who gave this product 3 stars or lower, the general consensus among them is that they didn’t like how the Ballsy liquid powder turned “flaky or scaly,” or that it just didn’t work for them.

One review mentioned that the Ballsy ball deodorant “has a lingering coldness.” Bodies and preferences are different. We didn’t see many other mentions of that “coldness,” but the product page does mention it gives a “cooling” sensation, which might not be for everyone.

Ballsy Ball Wash Review

Ballsy has an A+ rating on the BBB, having closed all 3 complaints in the 3 years it’s been registered on the service. The company has a 1/5 star rating, but only 1 review, so don’t take that number too seriously. But, we will note the review was in regards to difficulty in getting ahold of customer service.

A Ballsy review on Style4Men gives a detailed account of using The Sack Pack. Of the Ballwash, the reviewer said that felt good on his skin: “The wash was efficient and smooth and the product felt nice on my skin. I was expecting to feel dry after, but this wasn’t the case.  My skin felt clean, refreshed and even moisturized.” This is exactly how we hoped this product would make men’s skin feel.

The only negative that the review had with this kit was that it “is essentially an introductory kit and I will most likely go run out too fast.” In fact, this kit isn’t introductory, Ballsy products do come in small 8oz or 2oz bottles. But some items, like the ball wash, are available in larger 16oz bottles.

Overall, it seems like men truly like Ballsy products. There are a few who had issues, but there isn’t an alarming amount who dislike them. So, is Ballsy good? For the majority of users, these products leave skin feeling, smelling, and looking great.

Is Ballsy Worth It?

Ballsy Ball Wash Review

With natural ingredients, affordable prices, and effective products, we believe Ballsy is worth it. We appreciate the fact that its products are designed for the male anatomy. They don’t contain harmful chemicals or irritants so men can feel safe about using them on their most sensitive areas.

The largest issue with Ballsy’s products is that they’re sold in small quantities. With the exception of the body wash, men may go through these products quite fast. With that said, they’re reasonably priced, so you could get away with doubling up on the ones you use the most.

All in all, if you’re looking to de-gunk, de-stink, and de-stress your junk, this Ballsy ball wash review thinks this company is worth the buy.
