Mad Muscles Review

The Mad Muscles app serves as your personal fitness and nutrition coach. It’s where you’ll go daily to get your exercise plan and recipes, and you can even explore your progress and take on additional challenges.

Before downloading the app, you’ll need to answer some questions about your goals, along with your unique body, level of fitness, and sports interests. You can find the starter quiz on MadMuscles.com and click ‘Choose a Program’ to begin.

After getting to know your body specifics, Mad Muscles will also need to know about any injuries or roadblocks on your fitness journey, and you can choose one challenge to get started with. In the app, you can swap between the following tabs:

Does Mad Muscles Work?

Mad Muscles Review

According to the thousands of positive comments I noted for this Mad Muscles review, yes, Mad Muscles does work.

How? By meeting you where you are in your diet and exercise plan and ramping up your routines as you progress. Instead of scaring you off with complicated, intimidating exercises and meals, your plan will evolve as you do.

Who I recommend Mad Muscles for

If you’re looking to bulk up and get shredded, I recommend signing up for Mad Muscles. Since they have fitness and nutrition plans, I think those seeking a multi-pronged approach to weight loss or muscle gain will benefit from this service. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to see results but doesn’t know where to start.

Who I don’t recommend Mad Muscles for

Mad Muscles is tailored to men, and while you don’t technically have to be a man to sign up, the workout plans were designed to balance testosterone and cortisol, and weren’t necessarily developed with women’s bodies in mind.

Those with heart disease, severe scoliosis, tumors, hypertension, and spinal damage should talk to their physician before starting Mad Muscles.

Alternatives To Mad Muscles

Mad Muscles Review

So far in this Mad Muscles review, you’ve read about the 3 different fitness programs and a totally personalized nutrition plan that this service offers. With that said, you may want to shop around before you commit. Check out these three alternatives to see what else is out there.

  • Calibrate: This service uses a combination of video coaching, goal-setting, and lessons to help you take control of your weight, and your life. It offers a more personal service than Mad Muscles, helping you stay more accountable along with medication to give you an added boost. It’s a great option for those who have had repeated failures with diet and exercise plans in the past.
  • Noom: If you’re a beginner, consider Noom. Like Mas Muscles, it meets you where you currently are and takes your food preferences into account, but involves a greater level of personalization. Noom also deals with the psychology of weight gain and loss, teaching you healthier habits so you can change for good.
  • V Shred: A totally new way to look at weight loss and exercise, this plan delivers easy-to-follow, short video workouts and proves you don’t have to work out endlessly to get fit. It also offers nutritional plans, but there is a lot of content to watch, unlike Mad Muscles which guides you through step-by-step instructions. V Shred also offers supplements on the side.

What do Experts think?

Mad Muscles Review

Mad Muscles has clearly benefitted thousands of users, but how? It’s so much more than a regular weight loss and workout plan.

Developed by experts in fitness and nutrition, the service takes your goals into account before recommending a plan. Experts say that offering a “prescription” tailored to individual health is a recipe for success.

You know what the experts think, now the next part of this Mad Muscles review will be tailored to what customers think.

Mad Muscles Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Mad Muscles Review

The whole point of starting a fitness and diet plan is to see results, so to ensure this one delivers, we’ll look at some feedback in this section of my Mad Muscles review.

On MadMuscle.com, the app has a 4.5/5-star score based on 62k+ reviews.

Users report easy-to-follow meal plans and exercises and feeling like their preferences and needs are met. One Mad Muscles review read:

Nice program, it works well, and contains a good, well thought out set of exercises.” Many of the comments on the brand’s website were similar to this one, so let’s check out what the rest of the web has to say. Here’s how the app scored on a few different platforms:

  • AppGrooves: 4.4/5 stars, 15,559 votes
  • App Store: Rating: 4.4/5 stars, ‎5,500 reviews
  • Google Play: 4.6/5 stars, ‎5,060 votes

Clearly, folks really like this app. But why? This next Mad Muscles review taken from Google Play explains: “Love the workout instructions and meal plan! Lots of options and clear instructions.

Another user wrote, “So far I like the app and how it guides you through the whole exercise without constantly picking up your phone to select the next workout.

Offering easy-to-follow exercises is a great way to ensure users not only do them properly but also keep up with them over time. Consistency is key in any fitness and diet program.

On the App Store, one customer wrote the following in their Mad Muscles review, “Exactly what I needed. I don’t have equipment and don’t know much about how to do consistent nutritional meals. This gives you everything you need to start where you are.

Not everyone was over the moon with the exercises that Mad Muscles recommends, but remember, you can change up your plan any time. You might have just selected the wrong one for your needs.

I’ll give you instructions on how to swap up your plan a little further down in this Mad Muscles review, but for now, let’s find out if the service is as legit as it seems.

Is Mad Muscles Legit?

Mad Muscles Review

Mad Muscles is as legit as they come. It’s a fitness app with thousands of positive reviews and testimonies from individuals who have seen success.

Is Mad Muscles Worth It?

Mad Muscles Review

Mad Muscles has excellent feedback from thousands of users. I like how personalized their training and nutritional plans are as well, and while taking their quiz, I really felt like they would meet me where I currently am in my fitness and nutrition and tailor my plan to my wants, and not someone else’s.

Considering a 6-month workout and meal plan is just $40 (without requiring a gym membership or fancy equipment), I definitely think it’s worth the money.

FAQ

Is it better to have a meal before training or after?

First off, Mad Muscles always recommends eating solid foods if you’re looking to gain muscle mass. Avoid gainers and protein powders when possible. Their general eating guidelines for muscle gaining include:

  • Eat complex carbohydrates and proteins 1.5-2 hours before training
  • Enjoy simple carbohydrates after working out along with proteins

If you’re looking to lose fat, eat easily digestible protein (green veggies) 1.5-2 hours before training. You can enjoy complex carbs 3-4 hours after training.

The longer you do not eat after working out, the longer the growth hormone in your blood will be present and more fat loss will occur.

How do I change my subscription type?

This depends on how you purchased your subscription to begin with. You’ll find the instructions for modifying your subscription for each method below in this Mad Muscles review:

  1. Credit/Debit Card or PayPal: Contact the Support Team through [email protected] or using the Contact Form
  2. Google Play: Cancel your current subscription through your Google Play account settings. When your plan expires, you can resubscribe with a different plan
  3. App Store: Use your Apple Account to change your subscription. Visit the App Store, select your Apple ID, view your Apple ID, choose Subscription, select Mad Muscles, then choose another plan

How to request a refund?

To ask for a refund, you will need to get in touch with the brand’s customer service team and they will review your request. Refunds are made on a case by case basis, so be sure to include the reason for your cancellation in your email to [email protected]

If you have purchased your subscription through the App Store or Google Play, you will need to visit your Apple or Google Play subscriptions through the settings on your device. If you do not cancel your subscription this way, you will continue to get charged until you do.

Can I take protein powder?

You can totally have protein powder as a snack, but you don’t have to. If you decide to make protein bars your snack, just be sure your bar has no sugar or is low in sugars and carbs

Choose bars that contain erythritol, stevia, or monk fruit extract. Avoid those high in sugar from brown rice syrup, honey, or cane sugar. If you’d rather have a protein shake, use water or plant-based milk and ensure your protein powder does not contain sugar.

The portions are too big for me

If you’ve reviewed your meal plan and are intimidated by the portion size, don’t be. Mad Muscles ensures your meals have plenty of fiber and vegetables.

Fiber is important for smooth digestion and has 0 net carbs while vegetables are low in calories. To ensure you’re getting enough calories, you’ll need to eat a lot.

Mad Muscle’s portions are about 500-700 grams. This is normal for a healthy meal. If you struggle to get your whole plate down, don’t force it. Switch to 4-5 meals per day instead of 3 to help spread your calories out.
