Overview of Max and Lily

Max and Lily Review

Named after the founders’ children, Max and Lily got its start in 2015. It’s part of Maxwood Furniture Inc., a renowned furniture company loved for its solid wood designs. After asking their kids what they wanted, the brand got to work and created one of the coolest furniture companies around.

While it has German and Danish roots, Max and Lily is now based in South Carolina. The company’s team has extensive experience in German engineering and Danish design, and that’s precisely why their furniture is so attractive, sustainable, and durable.

Their line of smart and lovable pieces is adored by parents for those three reasons. All Max and Lily furniture is low in VOCs and toxin-free which is a relief for adults, but have a fun and imaginative design that’s loved by kids.

Max and Lily Kid’s Twin Over Twin-Size Low Bunk Bed with Slide Review

Of course, all that fun comes with some practicality as well, and kids will appreciate that it’s just 50” high to help them feel safe. Speaking of safety, there is absolutely no exposed hardware, and parents say the bed feels truly sturdy and is strong enough to hold an adult.

Max and Lily Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Max and Lily Review

When it comes to kids’ furniture, you need it to arrive on time, be easy to assemble, and be durable. This section of my Max and Lily review will reveal if their furniture is indeed those things. Let’s start with some feedback from the brand’s website. Here are the ratings for some of their bestsellers:

  • Twin Over Twin-Size Low Bunk Bed with Slide: 4.9/5 stars, 75 reviews
  • Kid’s Twin-Size House Bed with Trundle: 4.8/5 stars, 4 reviews
  • Kid’s Full-Size Bed: 5/5 stars, 10 reviews
  • Kid’s Full-Size Bed with Trundle: 4.7/5 stars, 20 reviews

Of the Kid’s Full-Size Bed with Trundle, one Max and Lily review read: “Great quality product! Easy enough to put together (with two adults). Works perfectly in our daughter’s room – a big upgrade for her. Nicer than expected!”

Most people are under the misconception that all kids’ furniture is cheaply made. It is for kids, after all, and they outgrow it quickly, right? Perhaps not. Max and Lily is part of a larger company with a specialty for solid wood furniture. Quality is in their DNA and it sounds like you can expect the same kind of durability throughout the brand’s kids’ line.

For the next Max and Lily review, I hit up Amazon. There, the Kid’s Full-Size Bed with Trundle scored 4.4/5 stars after 1.9k ratings. One shopper wrote: “Bought two beds from this company. The beds are amazing and the service was fantastic. We had a part break on one bed and they delivered it the same day. Would highly recommend them.”

From the comment and many others, it seems like the brand is living up to expectations quite well. Let’s check out one more Max and Lily review to be sure.

This time, I headed over to Perigold where the Twin Over Full Bunk Bed was rated 4.5/5 stars by 35 shoppers. This is what one of them had to say: “Absolutely love this bunk bed set. The quality is sturdy and the look is classic. Assembly went well and the kids were excited to decorate!”

Details like these make all the difference for adults, but the design is what makes it fun for children. This is the difference that buying quality children’s furniture can make, but more specifically, the difference that shopping with Max and Lily can make.

There were very few complaints about this brand online and some of them are unrealistic. From what I can see, they handle customer complaints seriously and are happy to resolve issues when proper protocol is followed.

Is Max and Lily Legit?

Max and Lily Review

One of the things Max and Lily promise is hassle-free shipping. Coincidentally, shipping is one of the main areas we like to assess about a brand. To do that, I searched through feedback and consulted the Better Business Bureau.

I didn’t find any red flags about late or missing shipments, and better yet, the brand has an A- rating on the BBB. They’ve responded to 100% of complaints, which happens to be just 6 over the past three years. This means that if you do run into any trouble with the brand, they’ll 100% work to resolve it.

Is Max and Lily Worth It?

Max and Lily Review

To put it simply, yes. I think Max and Lily furniture is truly worth it. The brand has a lot of good things going for it, like its use of sustainable wood, great safety ratings, fun designs, and thoughtful features

On top of that, they have affordable prices and sales and offer free shipping. Customers love the brand as well, and their customer service team looks to be on the ball. All in all, Max and Lily is a fantastic brand to shop with.
