About WeightWatchers

WeightWatchers Review

As one of the most talked about weight loss programs to ever exist, WeightWatchers has a reputation for easy-to-follow plans, realistic, healthy goals, and long-term results. Not many diet companies can say that.

In fact, WeightWatchers has been ranked as the #1 Best Diet For Weight Loss by U.S News & World Report for 13 years straight. How’s that for bragging rights?

The first step to finding out is reading this WeightWatchers review. I’ve packed it with key details on the program and app, along with feedback, FAQ, and so much more. Let’s kick things off with the pros and cons.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  1. Flexibility: Weight Watchers offers a variety of food choices, which makes it easier for people to stick to the program and avoid feeling deprived.
  2. Support: The program provides support in the form of group meetings, online forums, and personal coaching, which can be very helpful for people who need accountability and motivation.
  3. Behavior modification: Weight Watchers emphasizes lifestyle changes and behavior modification, which can lead to long-term weight loss success.
  4. No food restrictions: Unlike some other weight loss programs, Weight Watchers does not restrict any specific foods, which can make it easier for people to follow the program long-term.

Cons

  1. Cost: Weight Watchers can be expensive, especially if you choose to attend meetings and get personal coaching.
  2. Time commitment: Attending meetings and tracking your food intake can be time-consuming, which may be a barrier for some people.
  3. Point system: Some people find the point system confusing and difficult to follow.
  4. Limited exercise guidance: While Weight Watchers provides some exercise guidance, it may not be enough for people who are looking for a more comprehensive exercise program.

Ultimately, whether or not WeightWatchers is right for you will depend on your individual goals, preferences, and lifestyle.

WeightWatchers Review

WeightWatchers Review

WeightWatchers has a reputation for being one of the easiest diets to stick with and see results. Why? Because of the way their program is structured, but also because it takes an all-encompassing approach to weight loss and nutrition.

Offering customized nutritional programs, your WeightWatchers plan follows a point system that allocates a certain amount of points to different foods. This means you don’t have to think about calories or macros. As I said, they make it really easy, and this means you’re more likely to succeed.

With your daily Points Budget, you can spend points as you wish. Go ahead and eat the cake. If you run out of points, consult their list of 200+ ZeroPoint™ foods

Using scientifically-proven methods to help you lose weight and stay on track, WeightWatchers will teach you how to portion size, snack responsibly, and drink more water.

You’ll use the WW App to track your sleep, activity, weight, water, and food, and it even has a barcode scanner to help you spend less time at the grocery store.

Speak up in the Community tab to share progress with others, and if you need even more accountability, join a Workshop. In the next sections of this WeightWatchers review, I’ll fill you in more about their app, recipes, and plans.

Does WeightWatchers Work?

WeightWatchers Review

According to millions of users and feedback I surveyed for this WeightWatchers review, the program does work. In fact, many say it’s the only thing that has worked. It’s easy to follow, and if you decide to stop, easy to get back into.

Who I recommend WeightWatchers for

If you’re tired of short-term, unsustainable diets, then WeightWatchers is a great option. It helps you adopt healthier lifestyle habits that lead to weight loss. If you’re looking for a diet program that delivers sustainable, healthy weight loss and like the idea of using an app to stay accountable, WW is for you.

Who I don’t recommend WeightWatchers for

WeightWatchers isn’t for everyone. If you don’t want to log your food and activity each day, you might not like this plan. WW is also a community-based program and it may not appeal to everyone. If you have a hard time with self-discipline, you may need 1:1 coaching instead.

Alternatives

Diets…there are plenty of them. If after reading this WeightWatchers review, you find that it isn’t right for you, consider these alternatives:

  • Noom is an app-based weight loss and health system that focuses on changing your eating habits long term. It’s totally app-based and teaches you the psychology around unhealthy eating patterns to help you make changes for good.
  • Calibrate is a virtual weight loss program as well. It uses a science-based approach of 1:1 coaching, goals, and FDA-approved medication to boost your metabolism and negate unhealthy eating habits.
  • ProLon: Unlike WeightWatchers, ProLon is a short-term plan—just 5 days long. It’s designed to mimic a short-term fast without totally depriving your body of food. Your 5-day kit will include detoxing teas and meals that support your body and rev up fat burning.

What Do Experts Think?

WeightWatchers was scored as #1 out of 41 diets by a panel of health experts in the U.S News & World Report. What did they like so much about it? Mostly WW’s nutritional approach promotes balanced eating. It aligns with the DRI of carbs, fat, and protein, and helps its users establish better eating habits.

Nutritionists love it because it’s not a quick fix—it’s designed for long-term weight loss and makes it easy to stay on track. You’ve heard from the experts, the next part of this WeightWatchers review will check in with the customers.

WeightWatchers Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

WeightWatchers Review

As with any diet plan, feedback is an essential part of this WeightWatchers review, so I’ve made sure to include a lot of it here.

There are countless testimonials across the web, so finding out what customers think was pretty easy. Here are a few scores I collected from Google:

  • Influenster: 4.4/5 stars, 607 reviews
  • Trustpilot: 3.3/5 stars, 3,466 reviews
  • SiteJabber: 3.8/5 stars, 202 reviews

One WeightWatchers review on Trustpilot read, “Weightwatchers helped me to lose 12 pounds in less than 3 weeks. Works just fine with a lil patience. In my opinion the best diet program you’ll find.

On Trustpilot, another customer wrote the following WeightWatchers review, “I always come back to WW. Tried slimming world once. It was easy. But for some reason I am more comfortable with WW. I don’t mind adding points. It definitely works. When I have a break due to financial reasons, I gain all that I lost. Joined again a week ago and the weight is coming off again.

Consistency is key with any diet plan, but the key is choosing a plan you can stick with. According to those who use it, WeightWatchers is easy to follow. So how about the WW App?

On the App Store, the WW App is rated 4.8/5 stars among 1,889,143 reviews. That’s pretty up there for an app. One user wrote this simple WeightWatchers review: “So easy!! Very helpful assistance 24/7.

Others say it helps keep them on track and has been a valuable tool on their weight loss or healthy living journey

From the feedback I gathered for this part of my WeightWatchers review, it’s evident that this program can be life-changing. While it’s not for everyone, it may be just the thing you’re looking for.

Is WeightWatchers Legit?

WeightWatchers might just be the most legit diet and lifestyle company there is. It’s been around for 60 years and has brought millions of users successful weight loss. In terms of companies you can trust, WeightWatchers is at the top of the list.

Is WeightWatchers Worth It?

WeightWatchers Review

WeightWatchers is a solid nutritional program that can change the way you view eating. It’s helped millions of people reprogram their eating habits and take control of their life.

I also like that they don’t focus on calories and have 200+ ZeroPoint foods that you can eat as much as you want. This differs greatly from other restrictive diet plans and that’s something I can really get behind.

FAQ

WeightWatchers Review

Is WeightWatchers A Doctor-Recommended Weight-Loss Program?

WeightWatchers is made up of a team of nutrition and behavioral scientists, along with registered dieticians and clinical researchers. It’s ranked #1 (out of a list of 41 diets) by a range of health experts.

I’ve Tried WeightWatchers Before. What’s New?

WeightWatchers was established in 1963, so as you can imagine, it’s changed. A lot. It’s now even easier to follow and see results than before. Here’s what else is different:

  • Tailored Points Budgets
  • 200+ ZeroPoint Foods
  • Advanced nutrition science

They aim to guide you toward the most nutritional foods possible, not just the ones with the lowest calories.

What Foods Will I Eat On The Program?

One of the most unique things about WeightWatchers is that you decide what you eat. If you want pizza, eat it—there are no foods labeled as “good” or “bad.” The program allocates points to foods, and you will have a certain number of points each day to use as you wish.

What Do I Have To Do To Get The Results I Want?

WeightWatchers gives you a Points® Budget that you can use for whatever foods you like. Eat as many ZeroPoint™ foods as you wish, and be sure to get active. All of this can be tracked in the WW App where you’ll find free workouts for all levels.

I’m Living With Diabetes. Can I Do WeightWatchers?

WeightWatchers has both prediabetes and diabetes plans. Using recommendations from the American Diabetes Association and International Diabetes Foundation, these plans are made specifically for people living with diabetes.

The way these plans work is similar to other WW plans, only the point structure will be slightly altered and you will have different ZeroPoint™ foods.
