Diet Doctor Review

Diet Doctor’s main goal? To radically impact your health. Teaching revolutionary wellness through the low-carb, high-fat lens, the platform offers thousands of medically-reviewed articles, keto-friendly meal plans, hi-def videos, and a supportive community of over 75k active users.

Though the service doesn’t skimp on science-backed evidence, it delivers it all in an easy-to-understand format. That may be why Diet Doctor has the largest keto community on this side of the moon, boasting a community of over 750k followers across its Facebook and Instagram pages.

Can this service be just what your mind and body need? In this Diet Doctor review, I’ll help you make that decision.

In the following section, I’ll provide all the must-knows about the company and how the service works. You’ll also read about customer experiences, deals, FAQs, and more so you can feel confident as you embark on this new journey. Let’s learn about the folks behind it all first.

Overview of Diet Doctor

Diet Doctor Review

Diet Doctor takes everything you know about dieting and spins it on its head. Choosing to approach wellness from a scientific and fact-based level, the service was created to empower people around the world by helping them discover true health.

Founded in 2007 by Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt in Stockholm, Sweden, the service was offered to Americans in 2011 and totally took off. Dr. Eenfeldt’s mission “is to find the most trustworthy science and practical knowledge about health, make it inspiring and simple to use, and make it accessible and free for everyone.”

You’ll discover tons of free articles, videos, and recipes on DietDoctor.com with the option to subscribe monthly or annually to access additional content. This science-backed platform provides a wealth of trustworthy information that 500,000+ people rely on daily.

You won’t find the brand selling protein powders or displaying annoying ads—instead, there’s just plain, easy to follow, evidence-based information delivered through articles and videos. Diet Doctor started as Dr. Eenfeldt’s medical blog but has blossomed into a team of over 60 employees and 20 freelancers.

Now that you know a little more about the service and the people behind it, I’ll steer this Diet Doctor review into a list of highlights.

Diets are notoriously fussy, short-lived, bland, and hard to stick with. There’s a reason the term yo-yo dieting exists. Adopting a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean blindly following the advice of a celebrity trainer or depriving yourself of flavor and food.

Diet Doctor wants to revolutionize health. It does that by giving you thousands of medical-reviewed articles, delicious meals, and evidence-based plans that are easy to follow.

Coming up in this Diet Doctor review, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about the membership and what this service has to offer.

Diet Doctor Membership Review

Diet Doctor prescribes an LCHF (low-carb, high-fat lifestyle), but approaches it from every angle imaginable. The service gives you access to 500+ videos, 1,000+ recipes, and over 100 meal plans. You’ll have the freedom to choose what feels right and learn at your own pace.

In this part of my Diet Doctor review, I’ll take you through what’s involved in the membership, how much it costs, and if it truly is effective. You’ll discover all that this science-backed service has to offer and what you can expect on your journey to health.

How Much Does the Diet Doctor Membership Cost?

Diet Doctor Review

The beauty of the Diet Doctor Membership is in the freedom it gives users. Technically, you don’t have to pay anything to access the wide range of articles and videos available on its site. If you’re looking for more support, involvement, and plans, you may consider becoming a member.

If so, your first 30 days are free. You’ll have access to all of the service’s premium features for an entire month, then, if you decide you like what you’ve seen, a month-to-month subscription is about $11 per month.

If you need to cancel your membership within those 30 days, you won’t pay a cent.

Your membership fee will be charged to your account monthly, but if you prefer, you can pay for an annual membership upfront. Choosing this option means you’ll pay $99 for the entire year (the cost of one visit with a nutritionist) and save $38.

Diet Doctor Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Diet Doctor Review

If you’re looking for a little inspiration, head to the success stories page on Diet Doctor’s website. There are over 600 stories about how the platform changed lives. I’m talking about huge changes too, like 200 lbs of weight loss and reversing the effects of diabetes.

The brand’s website gives us a good idea about how a keto lifestyle can radically change lives. In search of star ratings and collective feedback, I headed off the site and on to Trustpilot.

Trustpilot showed 4.7/5 stars for the service from 9,325 users. Here’s how that score breaks down:

  • Excellent: 90%
  • Great: 6%
  • Average: 2%
  • Poor: <1%
  • Bad: 1%

That’s some great feedback. So what did users love about the service so much? Mostly, it’s plans are so easy to follow and fit effortlessly in with people’s lives. One Diet Doctor review read:

I love this website. Good articles with good information that you can easily understand. Absolutely love the recipes and the meal plans help a lot. Highly recommended.” Reporting weight loss and tasty recipes, users appreciate that Diet Doctor isn’t difficult to stick to—something that’s crucial in the realm of dieting.

Our next bit of feedback comes from SiteJabber. A review site that rarely shows above-average scores, Diet Doctor has a 4.85/5-star score from 155 users. Impressive.

The most common bit of feedback was, again, about how easy the program is to stick to. People like how it explains diet and food through a scientific lens with tons of proof and studies. Take this glowing testimonial:

Truly life saving. I am one of those thousands of people who have lost and gain weight hundreds of times. Keto has saved my life and all the science behind it truly makes sense. I can fully say I will never eat the same way [as I did] before turning Keto.”

Of what the service offers, another comment read: “I have been using Diet Doctor for 3 years, now it is better than ever. Great library of videos, fantastic recipes and meal plans, good education, community. APP is such a great addition to the website.

People do love what they get with Diet Doctor. From what it sounds like, using the app makes a difference in their success.

Since I have a pretty good idea of the effectiveness of the app, learning about what it’s like to use (recipes, plans, etc.) would be beneficial. Thankfully, a Diet Doctor review thread on Reddit shed some insight. One comment read:

I have tried 4 or 5 of their recipes and they’re all pretty delicious (especially the Fat Head Pizza…really I had no idea!)…One thing that is a little different is that you don’t count calories…You just eat their recipes 3x a day and you’re good.”

Honestly, it sounds like there’s a lot of freedom within the Diet Doctor plan, and that may be why people find it so effective and easy to stick to. Simply pick three recipes a day and you’re good to go. From what I learned, each recipe is delicious and satisfying.

At the end of it all, the feedback for this service was off the charts. Diet Doctor is rated above 4.7/5 stars on every source I turned to, including Facebook, Google Play, and the App Store.

Is Diet Doctor Legit?

Diet Doctor Review

There is a ton of feedback for Diet Doctor online. It appears to be an incredibly popular service. And among all of that feedback, there’s very little that’s negative. The main issue members have with the service is canceling their membership.

Canceling needs to be done correctly through the service you purchased it through and not just through your Diet Doctor account. I’ve outlined the cancelation process thoroughly in the FAQ so you’ll know exactly what to do.

To every complaint made on Trustpilot (1% of the 9,325 reviews), the service has responded with a solution. That shows this company is responsive and cares about helping its members—even those that wish to cancel. All in all, Diet Doctor looks to be a legit company and one that people trust.

Is Diet Doctor Worth It?

Diet Doctor Review

Finding a diet or lifestyle that fits in with your life shouldn’t be complicated, but somehow, it always has been. Diet Doctor breaks down the science of eating and approaches it from a simple angle that makes sense

Understanding why we eat a certain way is an important part of making healthier choices, and knowing what different foods and macro ratios do to our bodies makes it easier to choose. The amount of research and medically reviewed articles that are available on Diet Doctor’s platform is astounding.

Members love how easy it is to understand and follow and say the service puts out some seriously tasty recipes. I love that Diet Doctor offers free resources alongside its membership, but also that its membership doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a free trial.

FAQ

Diet Doctor Review

Who owns Diet Doctor?

Andreas Eenfeldt owns Diet Doctor. He founded the brand in 2007 and is its current CEO. Starting as a personal blog, the program now serves multiple countries and employs over 50 people.

What is Diet Doctor’s Refund Policy?

Diet Doctor grants refunds on a case-by-case basis. Its team will look into your unique circumstances for your refund request and may or may not grant it based on what they find. If they do issue a refund, they have the right to deduct an administrative fee.

To ask for a refund, head to the Help Center and click “Help” at the bottom right-hand corner of the webpage. Let them know you’d like a refund and they’ll get back to you shortly.

The most that Diet Doctor will refund is three months of service. With that said, if you did choose the annual plan and have just finished your 30-day free trial, the company can switch you to a month-to-month and have you pay for the months you used the service.

If you purchased your subscription through the App Store, you cannot get a refund. Apple does not allow for refunds on its platform for Diet Doctor. Google Play does though, but you’ll need to go through the android platform directly.

The company is respectful of your privacy and protects your data, never sharing it unless it’s with trusted third-party sources, ie. the companies it uses to process payment.

Should you ever want to hide or remove any of this data from Diet Doctor’s platform, you may not be able to continue your premium membership with them because, for example, they’ll need a credit card on file to continue your membership.

Is it easy to cancel a Diet Doctor membership?

It’s very easy to cancel your Diet Doctor membership, but it needs to be done through the right channel. For instance, if you subscribed through the App Store, you’ll need to go into your Apple Account and cancel your subscription that way.

The same goes for those who purchased it through Google Play, iTunes, or PayPal.

If you’re using the program on your browser, Diet Doctor says you’ll need to cancel your membership through your account. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  1. Head to dietdoctor.com
  2. Log into your account
  3. Click ‘cancel membership
  4. Complete the rest of the steps

Can I Cancel my Diet Doctor anytime?

You can, but if you cancel during your 30-day trial, you’ll lose access to the premium content. You’ll still have access to the app, but what’s available to you will be substantially less.

If you choose to cancel mid-month on a monthly plan, you’ll still have access to premium content for the remaining weeks until your next billing date.
