Overview of Craft Sports

Craft Sports Review

Craft Sports is on a mission to “offer tools for sports achievement that inspire and enable athletic progress for world champions and everyday heroes.” Founded in 1973 by Anders Bengtsson, the brand was launched after the inventor put his designs to the test—a pair of underwear he analyzed for moisture content after a run.

Pleased with the results, he crafted the company from the ground up in Boras, Sweden. It’s a historic town with roots in the textile industry and the place where the brand’s gear is made to this day.

Today, Craft Sports is part of the New Wave Group, but it’s still dedicated to the same caliber of performance technology Anders used all those years ago.

Over time, the brand has partnered with numerous athletes, but its most recent collaboration was with Tommy Rivers Puzey. You’ll find a few #TEAMRIVS designs in this Craft Sports review—all the sales go towards Tommy’s fund to battle a rare form of lung cancer.

No matter which of the company’s lines you choose though, you’ll find the same quality of tech throughout them. Designed for optimized performance across endurance sports, its apparel is specially made with an ergonomic fit to support you in any activity.

Coming up, we’ll take a running start at the brand’s technical collection. Before we get there, browse its highlights to get a feel for what’s in store.

With collections for men, women, and kids, its lines are tailored to those who need to get the most out of their athletic gear, and that means sweat-wicking fabrics, temperature-regulating tech, and stretch without sagging.

In the next section of this Craft Sports review, we’ll take you through a selection of the brand’s athletic gear for men and women. We’ll feature both apparel and gear, highlighting their defining features so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Craft Sports Team Rivs Trucker Hat Review

In collaboration with Boco Gear, the Team Rivs Trucker Hat is a combined effort of Tommy Rivers Puzey and designer Derek Friday. With a classic trucker hat design, it represents Rivers’s style but was made to see you through long runs.

Featuring laser-cut panels for breathability and the signature panels of a trucker hat, this comfortable design uses dry-tech fabric and a wicking polyester sweatband for a smooth and dry run. Though it’s one size fits all, you can adjust your hat with a hook and loop closure.

Grab the style for $46. All proceeds go towards Tommy Rivers Puzey and his family.

Craft Sports Hybrid Weather Glove Review

The functionality of gloves is an asset, but the warmth of a mitten can’t be beaten. To that, Craft Sports said: why not have both? The Hybrid Weather Glove combines both gloves and mitten styles with a brushed polyester lining for added warmth.

Finished with a polyurethane backing, they’re windproof and waterproof to ensure your hands stay warm. They also feature a silicone print in the palm to help with grip.

They’re made in five different colors to match your unique style, whether that’s classic black or neon yellow. Pick a pair of these functional, clever gloves up in sizes XXS-XXL for $52.

Craft Sports Cool Mesh Superlight Review

If you usually lose your shirt by the end of your workout, the Cool Mesh Superlight may be worth your attention. It’s one of the brand’s most popular base layers thanks to its superior moisture-wicking abilities and ergonomic fit.

Using six-channel Coolmax fiber, the shirt can cool your body down by 6 degrees due to a surprisingly soft large hole mesh fabric. It helps you to move freely without the sticky, sweaty fabric feel you’re used to with other brands.

You’ll enjoy an athletic fit with the Cool Mesh Superlight shirt in eight different colors. Grab one in sizes S-XXL for $65.

Craft Sports Women’s Review

Like its men’s line, the Craft Sports women’s collection is full of performance tech, soft fabrics, and breathable designs. Outfitting women for a range of sports, you’ll find a healthy selection of tops, bottoms, outerwear, footwear, and accessories in its collection.

Up next, we’ll introduce you to its top sellers.

Craft Sports Team Rivs Tri Blend Tee Review

The Team Rivs Tri Blend Tee is made from the same performance-driven fabric Craft Sports is known for, only it helps you represent Tommy River’s journey of persistence through cancer. With a stretchy, breathable fabric blend of polyester, viscose, and cotton, the shirt has a regular fit ideal for outdoor sports.

You’ll pick from four different style options, including Eyes Up, More Badass, Stout Heart, and #TEAMRIVS. Each option features a sleek black and white design.

Soft but fierce, you can get it in sizes XS-L for $39. Buy the Stout Hear or Eyes Up edition to get a free Team Rivs Camp Hat.

Craft Sports Team Rivs Beanie Hat Review

As part of the Team Rivs collection, all of the proceeds from the sale of the Team Rivs Beanie Hat will go to the long-distance runner and his family.

It’s made from acrylic knit with a cozy fit for chilly weather, making it a great hat to have in your collection. Designed with a cuff and two embroidered logos, you’ll rep Team Rivs while donating to a great cause.

This one size fits all style is available for $33.

Craft Sports Active Intensity Baselayer Review

Even in cold weather, you sweat. In turn, sweat makes you cold. The key is to have breathable, fast-drying gear.

The Active Intensity Baselayer is made from recycled quick-dry material to help you stay dry, and thus, warm. Made with a seamless design, the top provides an athletic fit that’s snug in all the right places.

Constructed to move with you, this ergonomic-fitting base layer is body mapped to add warmth where it’s needed most, and breathability where it’s not. It’s the perfect top for cool and cold temperatures, whether you’re long-distance winter running or cross country skiing.

Grab the Active Intensity Baselayer in one of seven two-toned colors, such as peachy trace/beat or silvery area/beat. It’s available in sizes XS-XL for $85.

Craft Sports Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Craft Sports Review

Since no Craft Sports review would be complete without hearing from customers, this section is dedicated to feedback. In search of what the quality and performance of the brand’s gear are like, we searched high and low across the web for helpful ratings and comments.

Our first bit of feedback comes from a Craft Sports review on Run 24/7. After putting the Craft Tights, Eaze Jersey Hood, and Cool Intensity Singlet to the test, here’s what the author had to say about the Tights:

The tights I’ve worn to the gym and out running, they didn’t loosen up and stayed put, the waistband is a nice firm fit and not too tight, you can forget you are wearing them which for me is always a sign of a great pair of tights.

Tights that stay put are a treasure, especially when you’re out for a run. Sagging and falling can be distracting and throw you off your pace. The fact that these tights don’t do that shows us that the brand does truly design with sports performance in mind.

For backup, we headed to another run-centric blog called I Run Far. The authors of the Craft Sports review tested out a few pieces of women’s apparel, and here, we’ll look at what they had to say about the Active Crewneck.

Mentioning its “terrific warmth-weight ratio,” the running top comes highly recommended. The Craft Sports review continued to express appreciation for the length and long sleeves that protected the wearer from breezes that would cause a chill. As for the fit, here’s what they had to say:

The fit is “like a glove”…but it’s a stretchy glove that doesn’t restrict at all and has a soft, warm feel.”

Form-fitting apparel is crucial for speed, and in the winter, it also stops the cold from getting to your skin. What we learned from this Craft Sports review only strengthens our belief that the brand designs for performance and that its gear truly does perform well when put to the test.

Our last Craft Sports review comes from a blog called Road Trail Run. With several of its members testing out the PRO Hypervent SS Tee, not to be a spoiler, but in the end, all of them recommend it and say they run in it often.

Here’s what one runner had to say about its performance: “Performance is outstanding. I am very fussy about summer running shirts and prefer a non clinging, well ventilated, cooling, roomy and soft feel, and strong stink resistance.  The Hypervent has all of the foregoing!

After testing it out on 80F days, the ventilation of this shirt is key. Experiencing a cooling effect and never any uncomfortable clinging, they confessed that it was only after four separate hour-long runs they smelled the need to wash it. In other words, the PRO Hypervent SS Tee is a valuable shirt to have in your summer running wardrobe.

We were really happy with the quality of feedback available online. Reading true testaments of how the brand’s gear performs helped determine its worth. At the end of the day, people love this brand because its gear not only feels great on, it also does what it claims to.

Is Craft Sports Worth It?

Craft Sports Review

Craft Sports has an outstanding reputation. According to customers, its gear helps them perform better thanks to the inclusion of features like vents, longer lengths, and high-quality fabrics. At the top of many ‘Best of’ lists, it’s no wonder athletes love this brand so much—it was specifically made for them.

When you’re running, cycling, or playing sports, the right apparel is critical in staying comfortable and cool or warm. The amount of thought and technology that goes into Craft Sports’s designs is impressive, and we also like that they design with the planet in mind too.

With all things considered, if you’re into endurance sports think Crafts Sportswear is definitely worth the buy.
