Moen uses a variety of materials in their plumbing products, depending on the specific product and its intended use, including the following:

  • Stainless steel: Moen uses stainless steel in many of its products, including kitchen and bathroom faucets. Stainless steel is durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy-to-clean. One study found that it is a suitable material for plumbing fixtures due to its corrosion resistance, strength, and ease of fabrication.

  • Bronze: Bronze is strong and attractive, providing a unique, rustic look that contrasts Moen’s chrome and stainless steel. According to one study, bronze is a suitable material for plumbing fixtures due to its ability to withstand high temperatures.
  • Plastic: Plastic appears in Moen’s showerheads and bathroom accessories since it’s a lightweight, affordable material that is easy to clean and maintain. Studies report that its low cost, good chemical resistance, and ease of fabrication are perfect for plumbing.
  • Brass: Brass is another attractive and durable material that complements stainless steel and bronze. A study on the properties of brass used in plumbing found that it is a suitable material for use in plumbing fixtures due to its good corrosion resistance, ease of fabrication, and attractive appearance.

Moen Banbury Chrome One-Handle Pullout Kitchen Faucet Review

This is the kind of kitchen faucet I picture as the standard for all new-age faucets. It has just enough features to make your life easier but isn’t complicated to use.

With a pullout hose, lever handle, and powerful rinse setting, cleaning dishes won’t so dreadful. Of course, the pretty chrome finish doesn’t hurt either.

To top it off, the Banbury Chrome One-Handle Pullout Kitchen Faucet is easy to install and mounts on top of your sink instead of screwing in. Give your kitchen an upgrade for $198 from The Home Depot.

Customers say: “Bought to replace leaking Elkay. Like the low profile. Water flow easy to control and sprayer is not overwhelming. Performs as expected. Pleased with purchase.”

Moen Lindor Spot Resist Brushed Nickel One-Handle High Arc Bathroom Faucet Review

The Lindor Spot Resist Brushed Nickel One-Handle High Arc Bathroom Faucet is one of the brand’s most popular designs. It’s simple and approachable, yet carries a sophistication that pairs with a modern design perfectly.

Thanks to Spot Resist™, you’ll enjoy a cleaner-looking faucet, and since it’s made with a single hole mount, it sits flush against any countertop.

Moen Engage Chrome Six-Function 6 1/2″ Diameter Standard Spray Head With Handheld Shower Review

I love the inspiration that comes from nature. Though the Engage Chrome Six-Function 6 ½ Diameter Standard Spray Head With Handheld Shower is made of shiny polished chrome, it has smooth, flowing lines inspired by flowers.

Contrasting the exquisite look of luxury fixtures with the relaxed elegance of the natural world, this artistic Moen shower head is perfect for the modern home. To use, snap off and enjoy 6 different settings, then snap right back on.

My favorite part? That you can use both shower heads at the same time for more coverage. With a metal hose that doesn’t kink, this gorgeous set costs $122 from The Home Depot.

Customers say: “Great heavy flow. Adjustments are perfect Wry satisfied with this one. Worth every dollar.”

Moen Eva Chrome M-CORE 2-Series Valve Only Review

One of the most sought-after finishes, chrome gives your bathroom a supremely polished look. The Eva Chrome M-CORE 2-Series Valve Only features a lever handle for simple on and off, and is constructed on top of an M-PACT common valve system for easy fixes in the future.

Compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, this sleek and simple Moen shower valve breathes elegant simplicity into any shower or tub. It costs $87 on its own from The Home Depot, but must be purchased with a valve.

Customers say: “Handle is beautiful! Easy to install and works great.”

Who Is Moen For?

Moen Review

Moen makes kitchen and bathroom fixtures and faucets. With a modern look of luxury, they’re perfect for those who want an elevated look in their homes. Because of that, you should expect slightly higher prices than you would with cheap, less reliable brands.

Alternatives

If you’re searching for products similar to those mentioned in my Moen review, I recommend checking out these brands:

  • Kraus: Sleek and minimal faucets that are imported from Italy and engineered in Germany. However, you may require a plumber to help you install them.
  • Jolie: Showerheads that filter chlorine, harsh chemicals, and bacteria out of your water to protect your hair and skin.
  • Victoria Plum: The UK’s largest online bathroom retailer. They offer a 3D virtual modeling experience to help you design your bathroom before purchasing or installing anything.

Moen Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Moen Review

The brand’s name kind of speaks for itself, but still, I think it’s worth checking out what customers have to say after spending some time with the company’s products. For that, in this section of my Moen review, I set out in search of feedback from numerous sources around the web.

I couldn’t track down any ratings on the brand’s website as of May 2023, but I dug into the comments for the Lindor Faucet to see what shoppers loved so much about it. I’m kind of in love with this Moen review:

“As a senior citizen, I decided to try and remove the old and install this one after reading how easy others said it was. Correct! Easy to install, removal of the old sink stop was the hardest. It is a screw-on trim I learned. That helped to know to twist (I sprayed with WD40). Absolutely love how it looks and ease of installation.”

We don’t all want to hire someone to do work, so having products that are easy to install is very important. There’s no question that these Moen faucets look great, and that’s something I saw mentioned in the majority of comments posted.

Now, let’s take things off of the brand’s website and on to Home Depot. There, the Banbury Pullout Kitchen Faucet was awarded a score of 4.2/5 stars from more than 2,800 shoppers as of May 2023.

Here’s one Moen review I found that tells you their products are built to last: “After 18 years of flawless service, the handle on my previous Moen faucet broke off. The replacement was easy to install. I look forward to another 18 years of flawless service.”

Other comments back up its durability and easy installation. Some reviews here also discussed that when they had the odd issue with a Moen product, their customer service was quick and helpful! That’s always great to hear.

My last Moen review will come from Lowe’s for the Engage Chrome Six-Function Spray Head With Handheld Shower, which earned a 4.2/5 stars rating from more than 170 buyers as of May 2023. One customer wrote this saying they are now spending more time in the shower because of it:

“Got it a couple of months ago and I love it! The water stream is much more powerful than our previous shower head. The 6 settings on the hand unit are just great, from quite strong to a quite weak stream of water. The big head is very enjoyable with its wide and powerful stream of water.”

There were only a few reported issues among the hundreds of positive comments. Some mentioned issues with leaks, but in many cases, returns were simple enough.

Overall, feedback was very positive for this brand no matter where I looked, though naturally, some shoppers enjoyed certain styles of faucets over others.

Is Moen Legit?

Moen Review

It’s part of the job description for my Moen review to identify any concerning issues about the brand. To do that, I usually go to the Better Business Bureau, which is exactly what I did for this section.

Despite being such a large brand, Moen only has 60 complaints made as of May 2023, and on top of that, it’s responded to or resolved all of them. This has earned them an A+ score. Those stats tell me that if you have an issue, they’ll resolve it promptly. All things considered, I’m giving Moen the green light.

Is Moen Worth It?

Moen Review

There are only a few things bathroom and kitchen fixtures need to be: good-looking, long-lasting, and well-working. Moen’s are all of those things.

With so many different sinks and plumbing (not to mention DIY installs), there are bound to be some issues, but with this brand, they’re few and far between. I definitely recommend choosing Moen for your next project.

Moen Promotions & Discounts

Moen Review

Moen doesn’t offer any promotions on their website, but their faucets do come with a limited lifetime warranty. I know that’s not exactly a discount, but it may save you money in the future.

How to Choose the Best Moen Product

Before you exit my Moen review to go shopping, run through this mental checklist to ensure you’re picking the right item.

  1. Consider the type of product you need: Moen offers a wide range of plumbing fixtures and accessories, including faucets, showerheads, and bathroom accessories. Before choosing a product, consider the specific needs of your space and what type of product would be most useful.
  2. Look for features that are important to you: Moen offers different spray patterns on showerheads, touchless faucets, and water-saving technologies, among other additional features. Consider which are important to you and look for products that offer them.
  3. Check the finish options: You’ll find chrome, stainless steel, brushed nickel, and oil-rubbed bronze finishes for many Moen products. Find the finish that will complement the style of your space and match any other fixtures you already have installed.
  4. Read reviews and ratings: Check online reviews and ratings for the Moen product you are considering. This can give you an idea of how other customers have found the product to perform and any potential issues you may encounter.
  5. Consider the warranty: There’s a limited lifetime warranty on many Moen items, which can provide peace of mind and protection against defects or problems with the product. Be sure to check the warranty for the product you are considering and understand what is covered.
  6. Look for certifications: Moen products are certified by various organizations, including WaterSense, which ensures that products meet water efficiency standards, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which ensures that products meet accessibility standards. Look for certifications that are important to you when choosing a Moen product.

By considering these factors, you can choose the best Moen product for your needs and enjoy the benefits of high-quality plumbing fixtures and accessories.

FAQ

Moen Review

Who owns Moen?

Originally founded by Alfred E. Moen, the company is now owned by Fortune Brands Home & Security.

Does Moen ship internationally?

Although Moen has a cart feature on their website, they don’t seem to offer online shopping for all of their products. If you live anywhere other than the US, I recommend finding a local retail partner that stocks the brand.

What is Moen’s Shipping Policy?

Moen doesn’t ship all of its products online. Because of this, I couldn’t zero in on their shipping policy. If you want to shop, I suggest choosing one of their retail partners that carries a wide selection of items.

Remember to compare prices with what’s available on Moen.com to know if you’re getting a deal.

What is Moen’s Return Policy?

Moen offers a return policy for defective products only. Other than that, I couldn’t find details on the brand’s website for sending products back because of a change of heart.

With that said, if you purchase yours from a retail partner, they may offer unconditional returns. As long as the products are in like-new condition, of course.

If you have defective merchandise, it’s covered under Moen’s limited lifetime warranty. Here are the guidelines around warranty claims:

  1. If you haven’t yet or just installed your product, Moen will give you a credit
  2. If you need a new part, get in touch with the brand, they will send you the right one
  3. If a product can’t be serviced, they may give you a credit
  4. To make a claim, email [email protected]

The only reasons your product may not be approved for credit are:

  • There is no defect
  • Moen doesn’t make it
  • The package yours end back is missing parts
  • Internal parts are missing
  • You bought a display product
