About Snibbs
With a kitchen and service background, I’m no stranger to long bouts of time on my feet. I know the struggle of finding shoes that look, fit, and feel good–not to mention perform well throughout double shifts and sun-up to sun-down schedules.
I only wish that back then, I knew about Snibbs. Founded by Chef Daniel Shemtob after his struggle with dysfunctional and ugly work shoes, the brand was brought to life with the help of Dr. Snibbe and Haik Zadoyan in 2015.
Their mission? Create a functional work shoe that looks good, is made from high-quality materials, and includes orthopedic features.
Their collection of trendy, supportive work shoes for men and women is designed for chefs, servers, nurses, doctors, and retail staff–literally anyone who finds themselves on their feet for long periods of time.
I was sent a complimentary pair of the Orbit and Spacecloud work shoes and put them to the test. You’ll read my experience with each style throughout this Snibbs Shoes review, along with additional feedback, answers to critical FAQs, and much more. In an attempt to start things off on the right foot, let’s begin with the highlights.
Highlights
- Attractive, supportive & thoughtfully designed work shoes

- Nearly 100% recycled materials
- 100% vegan shoes

Snibbs Shoes Review: First Impressions
My Snibbs order arrived in a large cardboard box. Both the Orbit and Spacecloud work shoes were inside, and immediately (like so many others) I fell in love with their bright-colored shoe boxes. It didn’t hurt to learn they’re made from 100% recycled cardboard.
Ready for more? In the coming sections of this Snibbs Shoes review, I’ll walk you through the fit and feel, features, comfort, and performance of each pair, telling all about my experience.
Snibbs Orbit Review
I received the Snibbs Orbit shoe in Wine Tasting, a gorgeous burgundy and pink colorway with a thick white sole and circular laces. As you can see, it looks just like any other casual sneaker on the market, but with some smart differences.
What are they, exactly? Keep reading this Snibbs Shoes review to find out more.
Fit & Feel
First things first, I LOVE that I do not have to use my hands to put on my Snibbs. Though there are laces, there’s no complicated lacing required, they’re simply there to tighten things up if you need to.
I shifted my heel into the Orbit and was surprised to find that the size 9 fit perfectly. For reference, I have very narrow feet and wear a size 8/8.5 in regular sneakers. I was really happy they sent me the 9.
Snibbs says it isn’t uncommon for their shoes to feel a bit snug at first. Of course, it depends on what kind of socks you wear too. It’s -15C where I live, so mine were quite thick. I swapped to a thinner pair and I had more wiggle room.
I wore the Orbit sneakers for an entire day and loved how supportive they felt. To be quite honest, they felt like they were made for my feet. I really liked the EVA midsole which gave me a spring in my step when walking around my home and up stairs.
Features
The Orbit has a much simpler design than the Spacecloud work shoes do but also has a lot of the same features, just modified slightly. For instance, they have a pull tab on the back, it is just not as rugged as the Spacecloud’s. It’s more like a loop.
I honestly don’t think I’ll ever need the pull tab because I find these shoes so easy to put on, but it will definitely come in handy for anyone with wider feet or mobility issues.
Another similar feature that the Orbit has to the Spacecloud is the heel cushion. While it differs slightly in shape, I’m a big fan of the cushioning all around the ankle of the shoe.
The Orbit sneakers are very lightweight and the knit upper conformed to my foot and felt breathable all day long. Even when sitting, I enjoyed wearing these shoes. And perhaps one of my favorite parts? They’re machine washable.
Comfort & Performance
Comfort is obviously of the utmost importance with work shoes, and I think I’ve mentioned how comfortable the Orbit sneakers are already, but I want to take a second to tell you more.
Aside from being breathable and lightweight, and the fact that these shoes fit me perfectly, I felt really secure in them.
When on my feet for long periods of time, security is a big one. Orbit has an ultra-stable heel and non-slip bottom which I tested in a series of side-to-side jump hops and several attempts to skid on my very slippery wooden floors. They don’t slip. Nor do they skid.
These shoes made me feel very stable and safe and I think they’d be perfect for traveling or anyone who needs added support. With a Stratus EVA Midsole, they return energy from your steps (hence the whole spring in my step thing).
As a slip-on shoe, I didn’t find the need to tighten the laces, but I appreciate the option. When I did, I felt even more secure in them.
Grab a pair in sizes 3.5 to 15 for men and 5 to 14.5 for women for $139.
What customers say: “Love these shoes !! I’m a huge supporter of this brand. The shoes are very comfortable.” – Christopher Sinclair, Snibbs.co
Snibbs Spacecloud Work Sneaker Review
I received the Spacecloud Work Sneakers in white. They have a cool speckled sole and a wide-toe design that makes them look more professional than the Orbit sneakers, but they still have a sneaker influence that makes them pair well with anything from workwear to jeans.
I’ll get into the fine details of these sneakers next in this Snibbs Shoes review.
Fit & Feel
In comparison to the Orbit sneakers, the Spacecloud work shoes feel more professional. The material is thicker and while they’re still lightweight and breathable, they’re a more substantial shoe.
Like the Orbit, it was very easy to get my foot into this style. I didn’t need the pull tab and I didn’t need to tighten the laces. Same as before, these shoes fit me very well.
I have a pretty high arch, and these felt a bit flatter on the inside to me. While the insole is made from a custom-formulated foam blend developed by Ortholite ®, they’re not as cushy but felt really good while standing and walking.
They have a roomier toe box than the Orbit does and made my toes feel nice and free. My movement wasn’t as carefree with these as it was with the other pair, but because of their design, I expected that.
Features
The Spacecloud shoes are littered with smart features. I really like the look of them. They remind me of a dress shoe-skate sneaker hybrid as the material almost resembles leather.
The wide toe box definitely gives off skate shoe vibes, and I love that Snibbs offers these in a pile of cool color combinations as well as solid white, black, and charcoal.
No matter the color you choose, your Spaceclouds will have a water-resistant upper material that is surprisingly breathable. It’s multi-layered to allow air to flow through but resists water well. This material is also very easy to clean.
Spaceclouds also have a slip-resistant rubber outsole which I put to the test on my very slippery wooded floors. Needless to say, they passed.
Inside the shoe is a custom-formulated Ortholite insole which is double-molded and multi-layered to support your feet and prevent fatigue. The ergonomic midsole is durable and helps reduce strain.
I really loved the slip-on design of this shoe, but appreciated the rugged pull tab on the back as well. It was easy enough to wiggle into on my own, but with thicker socks, I might have required a little help. The Spaceclouds have laces for extra tightening as well as adjustable side cages made from polyurethane.
A deep structured heel cup provides stability and aligns your feet with your knees, hips, and ankles. This can help reduce foot and back aches–-something I’m looking forward to as I wear my Spaceclouds more.
But wait, there’s more to love about these innovative work shoes, and it comes in the form of the Achilles rear heel notch. I found that this eliminated any rubbing around my heel and helped me move more easily.
Comfort & Performance
The Spacecloud work shoes aren’t as comfortable as the Orbit, but I wouldn’t expect them to be. They’re made from completely different materials and shine in their own unique way. They don’t provide as much arch support either, but my feet felt great in them while standing and walking.
My only gripe with this style is the way the fabric bends in the toe as I walk. To me, these are more suited for kitchen or retail work, something you’re not doing a ton of movement in throughout your day.
Because of the waterproof, easy-to-clean material, these are an obvious choice for chefs and bakers.
You can get yours in Women’s sizes 5 to 11 or Men’s 7-14 for $149.
What customers say: “I just got them today and put them on to ensure they fit well. I haven’t taken them off in 30 minutes. I’m not even at work yet. I can’t wait to get to work to see how they do there.” – Fran J., Snibbs.co
Snibbs Sustainability
Sustainability is one of the aspects that sets Snibbs apart from the pack of other work shoes out there. Made from almost 100% recycled materials and plant materials, there are absolutely no animal byproducts in the design, making them 100% vegan.
On top of that, Snibbs shoes are made with an organic additive that helps them biodegrade in years. For reference, normal shoes take hundreds of years to break down.
Another thing I appreciate about Snibbs: their packaging is made from 100% recycled cardboard and their factory has a Global Recycled Standard certification. If you don’t want to compromise on your ethics just for comfortable work shoes, Snibbs is a great choice.
Who Is Snibbs For?
Snibbs shoes are designed specifically for industry workers, such as those who work in a kitchen, hospital, or retail, or even those with cleaning jobs.
Snibbs Shoes Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Shoes are one of those products that it pays to read up on. Especially when they’re for work. This section of my Snibbs Shoes review will focus on feedback from a number of sources across the web. I’ll start a bit closer to home with the brand’s very own website.
- Orbit: 5/5 stars, 17 reviews
- Spacecloud: 4.7/5 stars, 1,295 reviews
The above are ratings for the two styles featured in this Snibbs Shoes review. Of the Orbit, one customer wrote:
“I love these shoes. I’ve even sneaked them on at formal events for an elevated look while staying comfortable. I have back and hip pain and hard soled loafers weigh on me after a night on my feet out working events or attending functions. Didn’t think I’d be wearing these front of house too but they are awesome, clean, smooth, black, light, comfy. I’m so happy I found Snibbs and I think I’ll be a customer for life. Thank you!”
One of the many things I like about Snibbs shoes is how versatile they are. Orbit looks like a casual running shoe, but choose it in one of their funky colors like Sweet Pea and it goes well with any style of jeans.
In a Snibbs Shoes review for the Spacecloud work shoe, another shopper said, “I’m a cafe manager, walking anywhere from 3-7 miles a shift. I’ve purchased my second pair of Snibbs just to have more variety of styles because they’re so comfortable! I love that there’s a shoe out there that I can wear with my dress clothes and still look and feel great.”
It’s also worth mentioning that the same shopper reported a shipping turnaround time of an hour from when they placed their order online.
In a Snibbs Shoes review thread on Reddit, Redditors talked back and forth about the quality of their shoes. One read, “I have a pair I’ve been using at work for a little over a year. I think they are fantastic. Very comfortable for people that have to stand or walk at work. Totally worth the money in my opinion.”
For a more in-depth Snibbs Shoes review, I turned to a website called Wear Testers. Their team awarded the Spacecloud work shoes an 8.5/10 score. Here’s what one tester had to say about them:
“Since I work in a fast-food restaurant, I do come in contact with hot oils from cleaning and filtering fryers which can gunk up my footwear. My Spaceclouds did get dirty during the weartesting period, however, they clean up well with a small wash.”
If you work in a restaurant or anywhere spills happen, the mudguard on the Spacecloud shoes will come in handy. Of course, the fact that these shoes are easy to clean helps too.
Not all feedback for Snibbs was off the charts, and I’m glad I got to compare my own experience against others who have worn their shoes for longer. Overall, people really seem to like Snibbs and they’ve received praise from workers across all kinds of industries.
Is Snibbs Legit?
Nothing I found during this Snibbs Shoes review would make me think otherwise. The company is reputable and talked about across the web.
It looks like shoppers may have run into some customer service issues over a year ago, but based on more recent feedback, Snibbs has really stepped it up and issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
Are Snibbs Shoes Worth It?
Don’t you just love it when you find an excellent product with an excellent brand behind it? For me, Snibbs fits the bill, their good-looking work shoes check boxes for design, quality, and sustainability.
From the packaging to the shoes to the company, I can’t recommend this brand enough. If you’re in need of a pair of shoes that works as hard as you, grab yourself a pair of Snibbs.
Snibbs Promotions & Discounts
A couple of different deals popped up while I wrote this Snibbs Shoes review. Snibbs offers free standard shipping and exchanges along with a refer-a-friend program. When you give a pal $20 off their first order, you’ll get $20 off your next.
