Bylt vs Cuts Review

While we might consider busy sidewalks to be runways in our deepest daydreams, the truth is that most of us are strutting our stuff during commutes, while running errands, or meeting friends.

These day-to-day tasks require reliable staples when it comes to clothing, and boy, have we got the brands for you. Our Bylt vs Cuts review has learned that these two esteemed companies are making their way in the world of clothing you love to wear over and over again (and look great at the same time).

About Bylt

Bylt vs Cuts Review

The best wardrobes aren’t built with expensive designer products, garish shoes, or loud attention-grabbing pieces. They’re built on a rock-solid foundation of basic pieces that complement the wearer.

It’s why people say black is always in style. You can pair a great black shirt with anything. Trust us, we’ve gotten approached at the bar while wearing outfits as ludicrous as a black shirt and camouflage Crocs.

The point is that you don’t need leopard-print Gucci bodysuits to look good. It’s a smarter investment to fill your closet with simple pieces that pair well with each other.

That’s the underlying notion that propels Bylt. they’re all about basics, elegance, and sustainability. They’ve seen all the fast-fashion white t-shirts that clog landfills. They’ve seen distressed jeans that go out of style faster than a Tik Tok.

Bylt focuses on the composition of their garments. While their pieces are all eye candy, they’re more concerned with making clothes that feel good to wear. They do so by working directly with clothing manufacturers.

They get their hands in the mix, knead the metaphorical clothing dough, and serve up a piping hot fit of sustainable clothing.

About Cuts

Bylt vs Cuts Review

Cuts is all about the fundamentals. They make resilient, comfortable, and simple clothes meant to last years on end.

They imbue each of their products with versatility by emphasizing minimalist designs and multi-purpose shapes. That mindset evolved out of founder Steven Borrelli’s desire for clothes that he could wear in multiple scenarios.

Therefore, Cuts make clothes for guys who want to look good, duh. But what sets them apart from other clothing companies is their recognition that not everyone has the time nor the budget to build a deep wardrobe.

Instead, Cuts offers customers a selection of key pieces that can be combined to create numerous outfits. Why have 80 different pieces of clothing that don’t go with each other when you could have a handful of Cuts products that all work in tandem?

How will you stack your wardrobe? Allow us to guide your decision by telling you about each company’s values, products, designs, prices, and more.

What to Consider

Bylt vs Cuts Review

Before you continue further into our Bylt vs Cuts review, try on these considerations for size:

Product Range

Both brands produce simple yet appetizing pieces of clothing. Cuts gets ahead in that they also make clothes for women. While Bylt’s clothes are minimalist, their fits are more masculine.

That means that women certainly can purchase from both companies, but that they may find more in Cuts’ offerings unless they prefer a less feminine fit.

Target audience

As you could probably assume, both brands focus on men’s wear. Their target audience is the boys who have places to go and people to see.

They’re not looking to break any fashion rules, nor are they striving to be seen on the catwalk. Both Bylt and Cuts are about keeping fashion as simple as possible.

Design and durability

What’s the point of even buying clothes if they’re going to fall apart two weeks later? Okay, maybe you’re a nudist or you’re making a political statement, but that’s not what Bylt or Cuts are doing.

Their products frequently blend multiple fabrics to create long-lasting textiles.

Sustainability

Since both companies have an involved hand in their production schemes, we can confidently report that they’re both champions of sustainability.

That’s important in today’s worrisome climate change situation as we need to do as much as we can to keep our purchases ethical.

Accessibility

Seeing as how Bylt and Cuts make everyday clothes for the everyday man, it’s important that their items are accessible in design and purchase.

You can buy both brands’ items through their website. Though Cuts has a section on their landing page about becoming a wholesale retailer they don’t reveal where you can buy their clothes in person.

Bylt Core Hoodie vs Cuts Hoodie Classic Review

A good hoodie exists in the same orbit as a cup of hot chocolate by the fireplace, a candlelit living in the middle of a snowstorm, and a slice of leftover cake. It’s comfy.

More than that, our Bylt vs Cuts review writers think that a solid hoodie is an essential component of anyone’s closet. That’s why we’ll be comparing the Bylt Core Hoodie to the Cuts Hoodie Classic.

Bylt Core Hoodie Review
Bylt Core Hoodie

The Bylt Core Hoodie hems to modern trends. It’s oversized, free from any logos, and only available in three earthy tones:

  1. Black
  2. Olive
  3. Grey

Those qualities alone make this hoodie a solid addition to anyone’s wardrobe. It’s made of french terry fabric, which gives it a pillow-like layer of comfort.

However, the Bylt Core Hoodie is for more than just lounging around. The piece’s simple design means it can pair well with a plethora of different bottoms.

Cuts Hoodie Classic Review
Cuts Hoodie Classic

Conversely, the Cuts Hoodie Classic sticks to a classic, fitted shape. Wow, that’s probably why they chose the name classic. It’s more tapered to the wearer’s body. This means it has a conventional fit that can last over time.

This hoodie comes in nearly every color of the rainbow. We’re talking muted variations on red, green, blue, pink, and teal, along with some more interesting colors like sage and heather grey.

The Cuts Hoodie Classic is made from a nearly 50/50 split of polyester and cotton. That gives it an athletic look with a soft-as-soy feel.

If you’re looking for a traditional-fitting hoodie then you should go with the Cuts Hoodie Classic. Otherwise, the Bylt Core Hoodie can add a nonchalant flair to your look thanks to its oversized design.

Bylt Drop-Cut: LUX Polo vs Cuts Prestige Polo Curve-Hem Review

Have you heard the news? Polos aren’t just for frat boys. Our Bylt vs Cuts review writing staff will cover how these two companies interpret the formal shirt design and turn it into something more modern.

Bylt Drop-Cut: LUX Polo Review
Bylt Drop-Cut: LUX Polo

First up is the Bylt Drop-Cut: LUX Polo. It has a gentlemanly vibe owing to its regular fit and downplayed colors. These colors include navy, white, black, grey, olive, and bone.

It also features Bylt’s bespoke drop-cut hemline. This is the shirt you’d want to pick up if you’re looking to pick up the ladies or gents wherever you go.

Cuts Prestige Polo Curve-Hem Review
Cuts Prestige Polo Curve-Hem

Next up is the Cuts Prestige Polo Curve-Hem. It’s made from 100% cotton straight from Peru and comes in 7 different colors. These dazzling colors include white, black, red, mountain mist, cabernet, coyote, and sage.

Because this polo is a trim fit, the company recommends sizing up. Do you know how we interpret that? That means that this is the shirt you’d want if you want to show off your guns without announcing to everyone that you’re trying to show off your guns.

Ultimately, the difference between these two polos comes down to their function. Both are esteemed tops, but the Bylt Drop-Cut: LUX Polo is made out of a cotton, polyester, and spandex blend that gives it more breathability. Thus, it’s better for warmer temperatures.

On the other hand, the Cuts Prestige Polo Curve-Hem is more of a middleweight shirt, designating it as a great option for any season.

Bylt Elite+ Joggers vs Cuts AO Jogger Review

Joggers can be a controversial pair of pants when poorly designed. However, our Bylt vs Cuts review writing team is impressed by both brands’ foray into the product.

Bylt Elite+ Joggers Review
Bylt Elite+ Joggers

The Bylt Elite+ Joggers have a more daring design than most of their products. The waistlines and ankle tapers are black while the pants’ legs run with colors like bone, sand, storm, and heather grey.

This definitely makes these joggers stand out among both Bylt’s catalog and from other joggers. They’re an athletically-designed pair of pants that, like most pieces of activewear, are just as great for lounging.

These joggers are made from a combination of viscose, nylon, and spandex. That material cocktail means these pants will survive as many workouts as they will nights spent curled up on the couch watching Netflix.

Cuts AO Jogger Review
Cuts AO Jogger

If you’re looking for a more regal pair of joggers then look into the Cuts AO Jogger. Although they feature tapered ankles and tight fit, they’re more business-minded than other joggers.

That’s because these joggers feature a belt loop at the top. Plus, their simple design means they can fit into most office settings. They’re made out of 100% polyester so they’re better for standing and working in rather than intense gym workouts.

We’re smitten by both of these joggers even though they function in totally different ways. The Bylt Elite+ Joggers are a bolder pair of pants while the Cuts AO Jogger are better suited for office meetings and water-cooler chit chat.

Bylt vs Cuts: Quality

Bylt vs Cuts Review

Through the research we conducted for this Bylt vs Cuts review, we are happy to report that neither company’s products are going to disintegrate upon their first time entering the washing machine.

That’s great! Yet, that doesn’t mean they’re copying each other’s models for success.

Bylt employs a wide variety of fabric blends into their products. Each blend is suited for  different use. For example, their Bylt Blend is mostly cotton but also combines hints of polyester and spandex for a great all-purpose blend.

Check out their other blends:

  • Bylt Lux Blend (70% cotton, 25% polyester, 5% spandex)
  • Bylt Tech Blend (polystrer and spandex knitted into double-layered products)
  • Bylt Elite+Blend (47% nylon, 47% viscose, 6% spandex)

As you can see, many Bylt blends combine the moisture-controlling properties of athletic garments with the comfort and support of more typical clothes.

Cuts have gone above and beyond with their clothes’ quality. Many of their products use materials like polyester, cotton, or a combination of both.

But where they strive for excellence is by making their own fabric. That’s right. Cuts followed in the footsteps of Paul McCartney by creating their own tools to fit their desires. Except instead of creating new instruments, they created a Pyca fabric they can call their own.

Both companies use multifunctional materials in their clothes. To wrap up this section of our Bylt vs Cuts review, it’s worth noting that Cuts have the advantage of making their own fabric. Whether that’s enough of a distinguishing factor to guide your credit card is up to your discretion.

Bylt vs Cuts: Price & Value

Bylt vs Cuts Review

This segment of our Bylt vs Cuts review will examine how each brand’s prices stack up against one another. We’ll compare the prices of all the products we listed in this article thus far.

We should tell you that the Bylt products we included are all available at a discount currently. That’ll gain the brand some points in the price department.

Here are the regular (and current) prices of some of Bylt’s best-selling bits:

  • Bylt Core Hoodie: $50 (regular price: $125)
  • Bylt Drop-Cut: LUX Polo: $55
  • Bylt Elite+ Joggers: $48 (regular price: $95)

We’ll save you the time of having to break out the calculator by listing the prices of Cuts’ products:

  • Cuts Hoodie Classic, $118
  • Cuts Prestige Polo Curve-Hem: $96
  • Cuts AO Jogger: $118

So, without taking Bylt’s sales prices into consideration, both companies operate within similar price ranges. Bylt is slightly more affordable on average.

That’s probably due to the fact that they use various blends of materials whereas Cuts implement their own custom-designed Pyca fabric.

Bylt vs Cuts: What Do Customers Think?

Bylt vs Cuts Review

The guardians of the circle of reputable brands are customers. They are knights who sacrifice their wallets and their time towards corporate entities. They are the lambs to the slaughter. They are the guinea pigs that brands experiment on in order to hone their image and products.

It’s time our Bylt vs Cuts review pays these brave warriors their due diligence. That’s why this entire section will be dedicated to platforming the brave souls who have written about their experiences with Bylt and Cuts.

First up on the chopping block is Bylt. We’ve strung together some thoughts and feelings from customers whose comments appeared on the company’s website.

Some of their items earned impressive customer scores. The Bylt Elite+ Joggers holds a 5/5 stars average score from more than 135 customer reviews.

Customers, like this happy chappy, gushed about how comfortable the joggers were:

Waiting to add these only served to deny myself if the luxurious comfort that BYLT provides. If you are on the fence, just do it. You deserve it. These are the most comfortable pants I’ve ever owned. Three way stretch, hugs the right areas while allowing you to move freely. I bought another pair almost immediately. They are the only joggers you’ll ever want to wear.

Other buyers touched upon the product’s price tag. They said that it was high, but that once they stuck their legs into the pants, they felt their purchase was justified.

More customers were elated with how well their Bylt products fit. They complimented the company on producing clothing that helped customers highlight their favorite body parts.

That wasn’t the only place we looked for informed Bylt insight. TrustPilot offered some interesting tidbits into the Bylt experience. That’s evidenced by the brand’s 3.1/5 stars average score from more than 150 pieces of customer feedback.

One happy customer writes about how much they love Bylt’s clothing. They also say that, despite a few troubles, Bylt was able to address their concerns.

They wrote, “…the proof of character is ALWAYS in the recovery: during the difficult times. BYLT not only has a great product that I love and wear every day, but the character to back up their product.

Other loyalists mentioned that the clothes were of great quality, befitting a king (or a unisex queen).

But this section would be unfair if we only spoke about Bylt. Cuts has customers too, you know.

Here are the aggregate customer scores on the Cuts products highlighted in this review:

  • Cuts Hoodie Classic: 4.5/5 stars from more than 650 customer ratings
  • Cuts Prestige Polo Curve-Hem: 4.6/5 stars from more than 25 customer ratings
  • Cuts Ao Jogger: 4.6/5 stars from more than 115 customer ratings

The majority of these positive reviews complimented the fit of Cuts’ products. They also mentioned how much they loved the shape of Cuts’ clothing.

One 5/5 star customer review said this about the brand’s joggers: “Great product and great quality. Overfill fit and size are true to what you normally wear. I wear a medium in most all joggers/sweats and these were no different. The feel and texture of the pants are very comfortable with the right amount of stretch throughout the legs and waist. Highly recommend.

Other happy buyers pointed to how Cuts’ items flattered their bodies. They made them look and feel powerful, attractive, and sleek

It wasn’t just the look of the clothes that customers adored – many highlighted how soft the garments felt on their skin. Indeed, nearly all of the Cuts’ products we looked at were touted as being comfortable.

In fact, Cuts’ products were so comfortable that they dazzled this husband and wife duo. They wrote, “I bought this for my husband and we both love it on him. It’s super comfortable and the black is a great color to dress up or down. At first I thought it would be too big, we got the small, but it was perfect! I highly recommend.

In summation, both brands pleased customers with the looks and feel of their items.

Bylt vs Cuts: Promotions & Discounts

Bylt vs Cuts Review

This section of our Bylt vs Cuts review will peer into how each brand rewards customer loyalty and what they do to attract new shoppers. That means we’ll be examining their promotions, discounts, and sales.

Both Cuts and Bylt reward customers for staying up-to-date with their releases.

Cuts offer a 15% discount for your first order by subscribing to their email newsletter. This newsletter will tell you about the company’s sales and other promotional materials.

Now we’re not saying that Bylt took inspiration from Cuts, but their email newsletter discount seems like they’re trying to one-up Cuts. You could save 20% on your first order by registering as a regular recipient of their brand flyers.

Another way to earn savings through Bylt is by referring a friend. If you send a friend a $10 gift card then the company will reward you by gifting you $10 in company credit once your friend purchases more than $50’s worth of the brand’s goods.

It also appears that Bylt has a section of their website dedicated to discounted items. It’s called the Last Call page and includes savings of up to 60% on some of their most-esteemed pieces like the Bylt Core Hoodie and the Bylt Core Lounge Pants.

Meanwhile, Cuts offer plenty of opportunities to save money for their VIP members. VIP membership will net you a 25% discount on all Cuts products, early access to new items, free shipping, and more.

Plus, they’re currently running a discount on their membership program. It usually costs $125 to enter the exclusive Cuts VIP club for a full year, but by using the code NEWYEARVIP you can drop that price down to $99.

Both brands feed their customers’ appetites for succulent deals. Cuts’ VIP program is better if you suspect you’ll be shopping from them on a more regular basis whereas Bylt’s rotating line-up of discounted products is better for last-minute splurges.

Bylt vs Cuts: Shipping & Returns

Bylt vs Cuts Review

The penultimate segment of this Bylt vs Cuts review will tackle how each company gets their products into their customers’ hands. This is the part for anyone who has felt slighted when their Amazon delivery got snatched off of their front porch (something our writing staff can attest to – it hurts!).

As it stands in this moment in time Bylt only ships to Canada and the United States. All orders sent to Canada will be subject to a $15 shipping fee unless they cost over $150, in which case the brand will ship your items for free.

Americans need not worry about being ignored. They can also access Bylt’s free shipping policy if they purchase more than $100 worth of goods. Anything less will cost customers $5 in shipping.

The company reports that processing takes 5 to 7 business days. After that, you’re looking at a 2 to 7 day delivery period. The brand also provides expedited shipping for US customers. These orders should arrive within 2 to 3 business days and cost an extra $20.

But what if you aren’t totally happy with your Bylt purchase? If so, you’ll have 30 days to return any items that are still in good-as-new condition.

In the case that you do return your goodies, you should know that you can opt in to the company’s return shipping program for only $8.

So nothing unexpected from Bylt. Let’s see what Cuts offer in terms of shipping and returns.

Here’s the lowdown on their return policy. You’ll have 20 days to return any of their items to get a refund. They will not reimburse your shipping fees. Items have to be as clean as a whistle, as good as new, and sent back in their own included black bag.

Though we couldn’t find much about their international shipping policies we can assume that they ship outside of the United States due to the fact that they have both a Canadian and an international website.

Speaking of international shipping, all items sent outside of the United States are shipped free of charge if they total more than $200. Internally shipped items (i.e. US orders) earn free shipping if the total order costs more than $150.

We were dismayed to find that Cuts don’t publish their estimated shipping times. All they report is that they send out their orders during the workweek and not the weekend.

We’ll conclude this section by highlighting that Bylt has a lower threshold in order to obtain free shipping and that their estimated delivery times seem more reliable. We only mention the last point because Cuts aren’t public about their shipping periods.

Who Will You Shop With?

Bylt vs Cuts Review

Both companies have plenty to offer for men who are looking to simplify their wardrobes. Whether you’re chasing after a more athletic look or clothes that are made for everyday function, both Bylt and Cuts are great places to begin your search.
