Overview of DearFoams

DearFoams Review

In 1945, Florence Zacks Melton invented removable shoulder pads for women’s military-style fashions. She started a business called Shoulda-Moulders Co. with her husband Aaron Zacks and business partner Harry Streim.

From there, they started to develop slippers, robes, and pillows. Then in 1947, Melton visited a tire and rubber manufacturer to research new material for the shoulder pads and found a new material called foam latex. After realizing that the material works best for footwear, she created a slipper prototype.

In 1958, the Ohio-based DearFoams slipper brand was born. They saw much success in the following years, and each slipper became known for its “comfort, style, and quality.” With this legacy, DearFoams aims to help you bring the comfort of home everywhere.

Now that I’ve gone through brand history, it’s time to kick off this DearFoams review with some highlights:

DearFoams Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

DearFoams Review

Now we’re onto the fun part of this DearFoams review: the customer feedback. I want to give you enough information to make an informed decision, so I scoured the internet for consumer ratings and found some on the main website, Amazon and Facebook.

Here are the average main website ratings for our featured products:

  • Sydney Water Resistant Genuine Shearling Scuff Slipper: 4.6/5 stars from 458 reviews
  • Leslie Quilted Microfiber Terry Clog Slipper: 4.5/5 stars from 332 reviews
  • Melbourne Genuine Shearling Moccasin Slipper: 4.2/5 stars from 142 reviews
  • Brendan Microfiber Suede Clog with Whipstitch Slipper: 4.3/5 stars from 157 reviews

The luxe Sydney Water Resistant Genuine Shearling Scuff Slipper is the most reviewed and well-received.

One customer wrote: “I bought this for Christmas for my grandmother because she never had winter slippers. She loves them! You know she loves something when she keeps them off the floor, so they don’t get dirtier than they need to. She works at home too, so this is definitely a benefit to keeping her feet warm over wintertime.”

How sweet is that? Another happy reviewer said: “I received a pair of these slippers in Dusty Rose for Christmas. They are the most comfortable slippers that I have ever worn. I love them so much that I bought myself two more pairs. Your feet will be comfortable and warm.”

The men’s Melbourne Genuine Shearling Moccasin Slipper also receives praise on external sites. They have 4.3/5 stars from 687 ratings on Amazon.

One reviewer wrote: “I bought this as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely LOVES it! It’s very comfortable, cozy and it has a high-quality material! He has been wearing them for over 20 days, and it seems like he just opened the box! Still brand new! I read reviews of some shoes falling apart after a couple of days of use, but you’ll be good with this one!”

Of course, the company gets some love on Facebook too. They have a 3/5 star rating from 96 reviews. A customer says, “I received my slippers as a healthcare worker. They are so comfortable after a long day at work. I had to try them on as soon as I came home. Took my compression socks off, and I love them. Thank you so much.”

Clearly, consumers are enjoying their cozy slippers. As I mentioned in this DearFoams review, I did find a few criticisms while researching. The primary complaint includes unresponsive customer service, inconsistent quality, and shipping delays. But overall, customers seem very satisfied with these slippers.
