About Maiden Home

Maiden Home Review

The best way to outfit your home is with furniture that looks as good as it feels. Sadly, a lot of furniture companies skip out on half of that, sometimes sacrificing comfort for style. But thankfully, Maiden Home isn’t like most companies.

The female-owned furniture brand works directly alongside North Carolina artisans to hand-make classical and splendid pieces for your home. The company’s beautiful furniture has earned them over 22.9k likes on Facebook and 144k Instagram followers.

In my Maiden Home review, I’ll be looking at whether their furniture is as luxurious as they claim. I’ll cover some of their best-selling items, overall quality, customer reception, and more so you can make an informed decision about whether this brand is worth your money.

Overview of Maiden Home

Maiden Home Review

There’s a single goal that drives Maiden Home. They live to share the skills of local North Carolina artisans with the world. From their New York headquarters, Maiden Home communicates with the greatest craftsmen to create captivating luxury furniture.

Luxurious is only one word to describe them. You could also use thoughtful because their process is deliberately slow to ensure an immaculate finished product. Another word you could toss around is traditional, as Maiden Home works to keep heritage techniques alive in their furniture.

In any case, you’re not just buying a sofa or a bed when you purchase from Maiden Home. You’re buying an item made with care that can say just as much about what you value in life.

If only I could include every piece of Maiden Home furniture in this article, but I can only speak about so many items here. On the whole, the company makes furniture to sit in like couches, chairs, and sectionals, furniture to sleep in like beds, and furniture to eat or drink off of like coffee tables and dining room tables.

With so many options available, let’s take a look at some of this brand’s most valuable highlights before getting into their products:

Highlights

  • A magnificent collection of artfully designed furniture for your living room, bedroom, kitchen, and more
  • All products are handcrafted by skilled artisans
  • Every single item is made in the United States
  • Financing payment plans are offered through Affirm
  • Female-owned business

Maiden Home Furniture Review

There’s no better way to showcase the brand’s quality in my Maiden Home review than by highlighting a few of the brand’s most spellbinding items.

Maiden Home The Wythe Bed Review

The Maiden Home The Wythe Bed may be the most effortless bedframe on the planet. It has a low profile that sticks close to the ground, granting it a humble air that’s made more apparent by its soft corners.

This bed has a headboard stuffed with down for a more relaxing form of support. You can purchase it in a variety of materials like linen, velvet, or tweed. Depending on your chosen material, you’ll also have several colors to choose from.

The standard queen-sized version of this Maiden Home bed costs $3,175. It’s also available in king and California king if you need some more sleeping space.

Maiden Home The Perry Chair Review

People always say that certain pieces of furniture are as comfortable as a cloud, but the Maiden Home The Perry Chair may be the first chair that takes that saying literally.

It looks the part as well, as its shearling material and intricate tailoring can make you feel like you’re sitting on a throne of cushions. Measuring 32” x 32” x 32”, this chair is made to be paired up in your living room.

Though this chair comes in multiple colors and materials, the basic option costs $3,750. You can even select what wood finish you want for the chair’s legs, including driftwood and charcoal. Talk about customization.

Maiden Home Sectional Review

Speaking of customization, the next section of my Maiden Home review will cast a spotlight on one of the brand’s most popular sectionals: the Maiden Home The Dune Sectional.

Maiden Home The Dune Sectional Review

Well, this Maiden Home sectional certainly looks cleaner and safer than Frank Herbert’s famous novel of the same name.

What both Dune the novel and the Maiden Home The Dune Sectional have in common is a sandy affectation. This sectional has a slipcover that recalls the hot and lackadaisical nature of the desert.

This sectional comes in three different textures for you to choose from. Adding onto the customization options, you can choose from a variety of sizes and configurations of the chaise so it will perfectly fit your space.

You can feel yourself slipping into another realm of comfort on this piece for $4,550. Starting at $1,000, you can add on a matching ottoman available in four sizes.

Maiden Home Sofa Review

I can’t write a proper review of a furniture company without showcasing perhaps the single most important piece of furniture in your house: the sofa. That’s why I’m going to look at arguably the most desirable Maiden Home sofa up next.

Maiden Home The Dune Sofa Review

Careful readers will note that the Maiden Home The Dune Sofa has plenty in common with the last item in my Maiden Home review. That’s because this sofa has many of the same qualities as the sectional I just spoke about.

They both have flange seams for a more characteristic touch, a removable slip that you can wash by machine, and are designed with optimal coziness in mind.

The key difference is that the Maiden Home The Dune Sofa is a bit easier on the wallet as it only costs $2,725. Of course, you can choose the material and size of this sofa that best suits your space, and add on a matching ottoman for around $900.

Who Is Maiden Home For?

Maiden Home is for anyone who wants furniture with a more personal touch and who doesn’t mind waiting or paying a little more for that unique flair.

Maiden Home Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Maiden Home Review

Maiden Home’s unique luxurious products are certainly attractive. But what do customers have to say after spending some time with them? I’ve collected some average customer scores from the brand’s website for the items that I featured in my Maiden Home review:

  1. Maiden Home Wythe Bed: 4.6/5 stars from 14 reviews
  2. Maiden Home Perry Chair: 4.8/5 stars after 10 reviews
  3. Maiden Home Dune Sofa: 4.6/5 stars from 93 reviews

I’ve also found some scores from other websites about the company as a whole. From what I could tell, people adore this company. Here are some of those scores:

  • Judge.me: 4.7/5 stars from 957 reviews
  • Houzz: 4.4/5 stars after 51 reviews

Nearly every positive Maiden Home review mentioned the quality of their purchase. Fans praised the brand for its craftsmanship. Here’s a 5-star review that speaks to that:

“This table really looks even better and higher quality than the photos. It’s extremely solid and sleek and I think an heirloom piece for us we will enjoy for years to come. Great experience overall!”

People were also happy to support Maiden Home after finding out about their US-based practices and female ownership. These traits were seen as excellent bonuses to already great products. Don’t believe me? How about you read this customer testimonial and see for yourself:

“Got our 90” Sullivan a month or so ago. Love it! Excellent quality and service – love supporting a women-owned business that’s made in the USA but the product is even better than the back story. I will be back for more!”

The only real pieces of criticism that I could find were that the pieces took a long time to ship. Some customers reported waiting months for their pieces to arrive. However, they often overlooked this complaint because they knew how long they’d have to wait beforehand and, quite frankly, the product was worth the wait.

Here’s a Maiden Home review from a customer that explains: “It took about 3 months and was well worth the wait! It is perfect for a family room as it’s comfortable for everyone both petite and tall. We got the performance tweed in smoke and it withstands our sweet little kitty’s claws when he occasionally stretches after a cozy nap.”

Naturally, when you order a custom handmade item, you should expect a long wait. The time and care that goes into making these items are evident, and according to customers, are well worth waiting for.

Is Maiden Home Legit?

Maiden Home Review

Honestly, I couldn’t dig up anything that made me think that Maiden Home was a sketchy business. They are legit.

Is Maiden Home Worth It?

Maiden Home Review

If you’re able to wait longer and pay a little extra for unique handmade pieces of luxurious furniture, then Maiden Home is definitely worth your while. From what I could find online, their products are worth it.
