Reima Snowsuits Review

This brand’s snowsuit selection is plentiful. The best-selling Reima snowsuits are the Stavanger, the Waterproof Insulated Reimatec, and the Baby Snowsuit Sleeping Bag, all with their own purpose and perks.

Reima Kids’ Winter Snowsuit Stavanger Review

The Reima Kids’ Stavanger Winter Snowsuit is one of Reima’s classic designs, with lots of little details that give it an appealing edge. It has zipper storage, elastic cuffs, foot loops, and the cutest faux-fur trimmed hood. That, and it comes in about 10 different colors and seven sizes.

Bonus? This synthetic polyester snowsuit claims to have the highest level of durability, breathability, and waterproofing you can get! The Stavanger Snowsuit is regularly $170 and available in many sizes.

Reima Waterproof Reimatec Insulated Winter Snowsuit with Insulated Seat Review

Reima’s Reimatec Insulated Snowsuit is another adorable activewear onesie, equipped with an extra-insulated bum and another faux-fur brim. Available in six different colors and four separate sizes, this Reima snowsuit has one long zipper for easy on-and-off wear.

It is crafted from recycled fibers and maintains high ratings when it comes to breathability and water resistance. The Reimatec Insulated Snowsuit is unfortunately no longer available on the company’s American website, but can be purchased through their Canadian website for $154.

Reima Babies’ Down Snowsuit Sleeping Bag Polarfox Review

The defining characteristic of the Reima Snowsuit Sleeping Bag Polarfox is the warmth it provides your baby while they snuggle up inside of it. This hybrid snowsuit/sleeping bag is made of recycled fibers and durable materials.

There are a limited number of sizes and colors available, especially in comparison to their other styles. The Reima Down Snowsuit Sleeping Bag Polarfox will run you $145.

Reima Jackets Review

Here we will take a look at some of Reima’s top-selling jackets for kids, toddlers, and babies. Bundle up with this cute selection! Your little one will look classy and playful all at once.

Reima Toddlers’ Winter Jacket Sukkula Review

Featuring an outdoor winter wonderland landscape full of snowy trees and foxes, this parka-esque Reima Sukkula Winter Jacket is a fun little number with a seasonal design theme. Boasting high durability and epic warmth, this jacket is complete with a faux-fur trim.

If the cartoon design details don’t suit your fancy, unfortunately it does not come in other colors. The sizing options are also limited, with only one left to choose from – the five additional sizes are currently sold out.

Crafted from a stretchy recycled synthetic material, this cute jacket is currently on sale for $90.

Reima 3-in-1 Reimatec Winter Jacket Syddi Review

The Reima 3-in-1 Reimatec Winter Jacket Syddi is versatile and interchangeable, preparing your child for all kinds of weather. This jacket features a partially-recycled synthetic and breathable outer shell, which zips away from its quilted interior.

Available in navy or bright yellow, the Syddi winter jacket gives off a sailor-style vibe. While this Reima jacket comes in only two colors, it happens to be available in 11 different sizes. It costs $145.

Reima Toddlers’ Winter Jacket Recycled Materials Moomin Lykta Review

In terms of cuteness, the Reima Moomin Lykta Winter Jacket is at the top of its game. This puffy, printed winter coat has all the zipper pockets and elastic armholes you’d expect in a complete snow jacket.

The Moomin Lyksta jacket was available in two colors and six sizes. Unfortunately, both those numbers have been limited, so be sure to check if the size you’re looking for is still in stock.

Made from 100% recycled materials, the Moomin Lyksta has a detachable hood, an adorable rolling-hill-winter-scene design, and is marketed as highly waterproof and super breathable.

This jacket goes for $100, which is on the lower end of the company’s jacket pricing. Maybe that’s why the availability is so low in this particular style.

Who Is Reima For?

Reima Review

Reima focuses its energy on creating clothing and accessories for babies, kids, and toddlers. In particular, Reima manufactures sustainably-made outdoor wear. From rain gear to ski suits to hiking attire, the selection is well thought-out.

From underwear and socks that go underneath a snowsuit, to the boots and hats that complete a look, Reima has your kid covered and protected for outdoor play.

In an effort to keep kids warm, dry, and active, Reima uses recycled synthetic fibers, natural cotton and merino wool to build their environmentally friendly clothing empire.

Is Reima Sustainable?

Reima Review

Reima prides itself on its sustainability. If you check out their website, they have an entire section dedicated to the ways they follow through on their commitment to creating sustainable products that are environmentally friendly.

Throughout the entire manufacturing process, Reima prioritizes the environment and promotes sustainable materials and processes. This starts from the very beginning, as they use materials and chemicals for their snowsuits that are safe and harm the environment less. They are even working on a snowsuit that is made of just one, easily recyclable material.

Once the product leaves their factory, Reima is still dedicated to continuing its sustainability initiative. The company is concerned with recycling their products and promoting ways their customers can ensure their snowsuits last longer, creating less waste. They will even repair new snowsuits that have been damaged in their first year so you can enjoy them for longer!

Reima Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Reima Review

So far, it looks like the brand is winning points in all areas. This Reima review was curious to see what customers were saying about their purchases. Let’s take a deeper look on the brand’s website to start:

  • Reima Reimatec Puhuri Snowsuit: 4.7/5 stars out of 70 reviews
  • Reima’s Lappi Reimatec Toddler Snowsuit: 4.7/5 stars from 59 reviews
  • Reima’s Reimatec Ore Winter Jacket: 5/5 stars from 2 reviews

REI also sells a number of Reima products. Several bestsellers featured in this review don’t have any feedback yet, but for the few reviews that are featured on the REI website, every single one has a 5-star rating.

For example, this review is for Reima’s Reimatec Puhuri Snowsuit: “I gifted two of these beautiful snowsuits for my soon to be 3 year old toddler grandson this Christmas for outdoor play in snow. It’s warm, cozy & doesn’t get wet but is so easy to put on which is a big plus. It covers him from head to toe, so he’s warm which I love.

They added, “Very well made too, love the colors.

On Altitude Sports, the Lappi Reimatec Toddler Snowsuit boasts a 5-star rating with 30 reviews for this particular item. Here is an example of the positive feedback for this one-piece snowsuit:

Really well-made snowsuit – cute seal-patterned print, and cozy faux fur trim. Love the reflector stripes on front, back, and sides – anything to increase nighttime visibility for an active toddler is a plus! Definitely runs a bit big. Ordered a 2T for a 2+ year old girl but should get a few seasons out of it. Overall, a great purchase for a snowy Ottawa winter!

More positive Reima reviews are found on Zappos. While none of Reima’s best-sellers are featured on this website, there are a few other products available, with positive feedback on items like the Reimatec Ore Winter Jacket. There are only two reviews on this item but both are 5 stars.

One Ore Winter Jacket reviewer wrote, “I love this Finnish brand! Great in snowy weather, comfortable, stylish, wears incredibly well and such a great value. This is my son’s 3rd coat from Reima, but first time purchasing on Zappos.

The reviewer added, “We were in Europe last year and thought it was only available there. So happy to find this brand on Zappos and can’t believe this jacket is on sale. My son is 11 and the 13 is a great fit with room for next season. A perfect purchase!

All in all, it seems that Reima reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Customers are happy with the value for price, the cute styles, and fit of the clothes.

Is Reima Worth it?

Reima Review

If you are passionate about environmentally friendly or sustainably made products, Reima is a great option for kid’s clothing and apparel.

With their natural and recycled fibers, cute clothing styles, and a wide variety of accessories, there’s not a lot to dislike about Reima’s general mission to reduce waste and dress kids to look super adorable and outdoorsy.

When clothing is made ethically and with conscious materials, the cost does go up. So there is a reason their clothing is sold at an elevated price.

Bottom line: if you and your kids love the outdoors and you want to reduce your environmental footprint when you shop, Reima’s got you covered.

Reima Review

Who owns Reima?

Reima began in 1944 in a small Finnish town. Their head office is now located in Vantaa, Finland. They employ around 500 people and are currently owned by The Riverside Company, an enterprise that manages and promotes smaller companies like Reima.

Does Reima fit true to size?

Since all Reima clothing is designed with 6cm of extra room for your continuously growing kids, they may fit a little big at first.

While they say you should order the appropriate size for your child, they still recommend going with a larger size in case of a growth spurt or to give them more room to play in.

Does Reima ship internationally?

Reima does not ship internationally from their American website. However, they have multiple websites for the countries they do ship to, including an international website that lets you choose from a long list of countries spanning Europe, North America, and Asia.

What is Reima’s shipping policy?

Reima has its own set of shipping policies for each country they sell to. For orders within the US, they charge $9 for orders under $75 and provide free shipping for orders above that price. They will give you an email confirmation once you place the order and another one once the order has been processed and shipped.

Reima aims to have your goods on their way to you within a few days of placing your order. You will get a tracking number and should expect your package to arrive in 3-8 business days.

What’s Reima’s Return Policy?

Reima offers a 30-day grace period to initiate a return, only if the clothes are unworn and the tags are still attached. You need to contact Reima’s customer support via email to request a return label, and they charge a flat rate of $9 to return your item through UPS.

While they don’t specify how long it will take to receive your return package, they do say that once they approve the return you will get an email and your money will be refunded within 2-3 business days. They are not yet doing exchanges.
