Overview of SIR

Sir the Label Review

After realizing there was a gap in the market for simple designs, Nikki Campbell and Sophia Coote founded SIR in 2014 when they were both 24-years-old. Both co-founders had fond memories having to do with fashion, and Coote experienced parts of the industry firsthand by watching her grandmothers work as seamstresses.

Coote went on to study finance, but she always worked in fashion, and starting her brand was always in the back of her mind. Upon meeting Campbell, the two realized that they had the same goal to create feminine wardrobe basics

The Australia-based brand also follows many other clothing labels with its sustainability goals and commitment to ethical practices. Its eco-conscious initiatives include stocking limited quantities of seasonal items, donating excess products to charitable organizations, and converting to biodegradable packaging.

Regarding responsible practices, the brand works with partners and suppliers to ensure employees receive fair treatment. Overall, SIR is committed to being environmentally and socially responsible

Now that you know a bit more about the brand, I’m going to steer this SIR the label review into some company highlights:

SIR The Label Dresses Review

The SIR the label dresses collection is full of flattering and timeless designs. These dresses are perfect for summer days or your next tropical vacation.

SIR the Label Blanche Asymmetrical Gown Review

The Blanche Asymmetrical Gown features a one-shoulder design with a corded tie and cutout that tastefully exposes your midriff. It’s mainly made from linen but has a comfortable rayon lining. It’s also bra-friendly, so you’re in the clear if you’re not comfortable going bare.

Linen is a versatile summer fabric that keeps you cool and dry. The Blanche Asymmetrical Gown is no exception. You can wear it to a beach party and be comfortable in the heat. And paired with some platform flip flops or slides, you’ll be the talk of the docks.

The Blanche Asymmetrical Gown retails for $350

SIR the Label Evie Strapless Dress Review

A sleeveless moment would never hurt anyone. That’s why I can’t get enough of the Evie Strapless Dress. The maxi dress is also cut in breathable linen and features ruching details, adding charm and delicate energy to the design.

This dress doesn’t make a fuss. It’s minimal and versatile, and like the other dresses, it’s perfect for warm weather. In addition, the bodice panels are a unique detail that adds some extra support.

The Evie Strapless Dress is functional and cute, with an invisible zipper closure on the side and rayon lining. It costs $360

SIR the Label Blanche Cut Out Dress Review

The Blanche Cut Out Dress is an adorable choice for a more modest look. It’s designed to be mid-length and features a high neckline, giving it a more sophisticated vibe. Of course, as the name suggests, it also has a circular cut-out with a corded tie that shows off your left waist.

You’ll be all set for your next sunny vacation with this dress. You can wear it to dinner with your beau or family and still be comfortable regardless of the heat or humidity. The organic linen and cotton lining are breathable and one of the best fabrics to wear in hot climates.

Some beach slides or flatform sandals would take the Blanche Cut Out Dress to a new level. It’ll cost $340 to add to your cart.

SIR the Label Ambroise Knot Dress Review

Last up in this SIR the label review is the Ambroise Knot Dress. This midi linen dress is designed with a stylish cut out at the waistline complimented with a flattering knotted tie. It also has a knotted tie at the shoulder, adding extra flair.

The dress’ asymmetric design is modern and elegant. It’s another piece that’s a no-brainer for summerwear. In addition, it features a slit in the skirt if you’re itching to show off a bit of leg. There’s also no doubt that with the linen and rayon fabric, the Ambroise Knot Dress is soft and breezy for the hottest days.

The Ambroise Knot Dress costs $390

Who Is SIR For?

Sir the Label Review

SIR was initially created for women, and they offer basics, swimwear, and intimates. But it also has a men’s collection with tops, sweaters, and more. So, it’s a great choice for people looking to put together a more minimalistic wardrobe.

That being said, the size range for SIR the label clothing is currently not as diverse, so plus-sized people might have trouble finding items here.

SIR The Label Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Sir the Label Review

I couldn’t finish this SIR the label review without looking at some customer feedback. Unfortunately, the brand doesn’t publish reviews on its website.

So, I scoured the internet for ratings but came up short. I found a total of eight reviews on Product Review and Trustpilot, along with a blog post on New Inspired

Here’s how the brand is rated overall on Product Review and Trustpilot:

  • Product Review: 1.7/5 stars from 6 reviews
  • Trustpilot: 2.9/5 stars from 2 reviews

These average ratings seem a bit grim. But, there is some good feedback on Product Review. For example, on this site, one satisfied customer wrote:

Great service after disappointing attempts trying to purchase an item(s) that fit incorrectly. Was given a store credit, but the service was exceptional and what I thought was going to be a loss turned out to be a great experience. In particular, dealing with Brooke in customer service was a pleasure.”

The blog writer on New Inspired purchased a few different dresses from the company. They found them comfortable, flattering, and heavy, which gave them a luxurious feel. But, they also noted that the heaviness might make it hard to pack the dress while on vacation, and it’s more delicate than it looks.

Unfortunately, the rest of the ratings I found to include in this SIR the label review were less than favorable. The main complaints include costly returns, quality issues, and customer service problems. But, reviewers note that customer service is quick to answer their inquiries.

Is SIR The Label Worth It?

Sir the Label Review

Building a simple wardrobe is made easy at SIR. Besides its best-sellers, it also has a vast range of other clothing items that are versatile and chic. Not to mention they’re also making efforts towards being more sustainable.

Based on this SIR the label review, I think that this brand is a worthy choice. If SIR’s minimal, clean, elegant aesthetic appeals to you, nothing should stop you from buying a piece and trying it out. Even though there aren’t many ratings to go off of, that doesn’t mean you won’t find items you love on the brand’s site that will enhance your wardrobe.

And it’s comforting to know that the brand has an excellent customer service team that answers all consumer inquiries.
