About Cloud Paper

Cloud Paper Review

On average, it takes 12 seconds to perform a single bowel movement. Given its brief duration, many don’t ask for much comfort when it comes to sittin’ and squattin’. But there’s nothing wrong with wanting a little extra luxury in life. Cloud Paper can help, striving to give you a cloud 9 experience with every wipe (pun intended).

This online company is focused on providing customers with a more comfortable alternative to toilet paper. Plus, they’re quite passionate about the environment, as sustainability is a large part of their core values.

It’s that level of thinking and care that’s earned them some recognition online. Alongside the brand’s 13.1k Instagram followers, Cloud Paper has also attracted attention from Forbes, TechCrunch, and Bloomberg.

If Charmin isn’t as charming in reality, perhaps this brand can act as a comfy substitute. Keep reading my Cloud Paper review as I will take a closer look at the company, its products, customer ratings, promotions, and more to help you decide if they’re worth a try.

Overview of Cloud Paper

Cloud Paper Review

Whether you know it or not, the toilet paper industry holds a crappy repertoire when it comes to sustainability. Cloud Paper, a company from Seattle, Washington, aims to change that.

Founded by co-owners Ryan Fritsch and Austin Watkins, this brand utilizes eco-friendly materials to help reduce waste and their environmental impact. They plan to save billions of trees, one roll at a time.

Hands up if you require an ungodly amount of toilet paper to do the dirty work. You might feel some level of environmental guilt associated with every flush, but at least you’re being thorough. To help lessen guilt and your environmental impact, Cloud Paper can help soften the blow.

This brand sources responsibly-grown bamboo to help save trees. You can also take care knowing that the company is affiliated with Natural Resources Defense Council, CarbonFund, and the Forest Stewardship Council.

Since its debut in 2019, Cloud Paper has continued to push its environmental agenda toward customers. This is partially thanks to its team of dedicated employees. As they put it: We are bold in our approach to sustainability and believe that small changes can add up to a large impact.”

You might already be able to tell that this company is different from your typical TP supplier. They also allow customers to either buy their products separately or sign up for the brand’s membership program. I’ll mainly focus on their most popular subscription services in my Cloud Paper review.

From toilet paper to canvas bags, I’ll also cover a few of their best-selling items to help you get started. But first, let’s go over some of the brand’s highlights.

Highlights

  • Considered a more sustainable alternative to regular toilet paper
  • Helped save over 17.2k trees
  • Made from 100% responsibly-sourced bamboo
  • Donates some of their rolls to the Food Lifeline organization
  • Provides a subscription program for its products
  • Free shipping included in memberships

Cloud Paper Review

You’ve done your best to eliminate waste on your end, if you know what I mean, but what about the environment? For those keen on flushing their unsustainable habits down the toilet, Cloud Paper can help you out.

The company’s subscription program offers you a convenient way to purchase new packs. That’s right, you can practically check off toilet paper on your monthly grocery list.

In this section of my Cloud Paper review, I will feature a few of their best-selling products that are worth some consideration.

Cloud Paper Bamboo Toilet Paper Subscription Review

Have you ever read Shel Silverstein’s book The Giving Tree? If so, you’re probably familiar with the phrase “take only what you need.”

If that quote resonates with you and you’re against environmental exploitation, Cloud Paper’s Bamboo Toilet Paper Subscription is designed to help protect thousands of trees.

Customers can receive a box of 24 rolls of sustainable, three-ply wipes made out of FSC-certified bamboo every two, three, or four months depending on the size of your household.

Aside from its minimal carbon footprint, this bathroom blend is totally free of nasty chemicals, such as chlorine.

As for pricing, you can modify your subscription’s toilet paper delivery frequency and preferred thickness. This is how it breaks down:

  • Premium 3-Ply: $35
  • Basic 2-Ply: $32

You can manage your subscriptions and cancel at any time without penalty. You can even delay orders if you go on vacation for a while!

Cloud Paper Bamboo Paper Towel Subscription Review

I’ll be totally honest with you. I throw away a shameful amount of disposable kitchen wipes every time I cook. If you’re in the same boat as me, the Bamboo Paper Towel Subscription can be a lifesaver.

With each bundle, you’ll be treated to FSC-certified, eco-friendly rolls of one-use tissues. Plus, the packaging it comes in is completely plastic-free and recyclable.

Ideal for sauce stains, accidental spillovers, and crumb removal, the Bamboo Paper Towel Subscription comes in two different options:

  • 12 rolls: $35
  • 24 rolls: $64

Just like the toilet paper subscription, you can schedule delivery for every two, three, or four months depending on the size of your household (and your messes).

Cloud Paper Swish Cloth – Pack Of Three Subscription Review

Instead of using the typical plastic soap sponge, the Swish Cloth – Pack Of Three Subscription Program is designed to minimize your carbon footprint every time you clean.

This reusable kitchen towel is made out of plant-based material, which can last up to 4-6 months. That’s much longer than your basic sponge. On top of that, these swish cloths are biodegradable. So when it’s time to discard it, you won’t have to worry about it sitting in a landfill forever.

Absorbent, efficient, and practical for rinsing and scrubbing, this eco-friendly alternative offers the same amount of benefits as the average dish sponge.

Available in various designs, you can subscribe to the Swish Cloth – Pack of Three Subscription Program for $18. You can choose to receive a delivery every two, four, or 6 months.

Cloud Paper Recycled Cotton Canvas Tote Bag Review

It’s worth noting that the Recycled Cotton Canvas Tote Bag isn’t exclusively made to hold toilet paper. You can use it to store other goods, such as groceries, notebooks, or a packed lunch for work.

This carry-on features a series of trees drawn in line art as an homage to the brand’s core mission. Printed with the words “this bag saves trees,” this tote can help you properly flex your environmentalist game when you’re out on the town.

It measures 15” by 16”, so it’s a perfect size for a ton of different uses. Price-wise, the Recycled Cotton Canvas Tote bag retails for $19.

Who Is Cloud Paper For?

Cloud Paper Review

So, why use Cloud Paper toilet paper? For one, it’s considered a more environmentally friendly alternative compared to other leading brands. They’re pretty transparent about every part of their manufacturing process, including material sourcing and manufacturing.

Plus, the company’s subscription program helps take your mind off monthly shopping, as you can easily restock your supply without much fuss.

Cloud Paper Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Cloud Paper Review

Toilet paper might not usually be at the top of your list of worries, but you’d be surprised at how much we rely on it. Most people are very particular when it comes to TP comfort, durability, and thickness. With that in mind, what do customers think about Cloud Paper

After a quick Google search, it appears that bamboo TP is a hot new product in the industry. Here are a few of the ratings for the brand’s best-selling products that I covered:

  • Bamboo Toilet Paper Subscription program: 1.22k reviews with 4.8/5 stars
  • Bamboo Paper Towel Subscription program: 173 reviews with 4.5/5 stars
  • Swish Cloth – Pack Of Three Subscription program: 13 reviews with 5/5 stars

Practical, useful, and not a product of false advertising, dozens of customers shared their experiences with Cloud Paper online. From what I found online, a lot of customers responded positively to the brand’s sustainable initiatives, as they felt better knowing that each flush wouldn’t contribute to their ecological footprint.

“Feels fine, good integrity, works just like other TP. Therefore, why not save a few trees?” one customer wrote about the Bamboo Toilet Paper Subscription program.

As for the Bamboo Paper Towel Subscription program, one user said: Terrific! These paper towels are absorbent and very strong! And they don’t deplete the forest. It’s a win-win!”

While searching for Cloud Paper reviews from customers, I uncovered a couple of blogs that offered a fair critique of the brand. According to the websites The Reduce Report and FreshChalk, the company’s blend of TP proved to be soft, comfortable, and durable. They also shared that the brand’s level of customer service was exceptional.

The folks at The Reduce Report wrote: “For those who don’t want to think about reordering, Cloud Paper is probably a good option. Being on the cheaper end of bamboo toilet paper with a slightly softer touch (it’s not Cottonelle), we think it’s an OK buy.”

FrshChalk’s review sounded a little more enthusiastic: “This company is AMAZING! I had issues getting signed up and had many email interactions with customer service to troubleshoot. They were super responsive and gracious. They ended up sending me a free shipment to try the product for all of the trouble.”

From the get-go, it appears that there is nothing but positive experiences with this brand.

Is Cloud Paper Legit?

Cloud Paper Review

I couldn’t find many complaints related to the brand’s customer service or toilet paper delivery. Add on their commitment to sustainability and transparency and it’s safe to say this brand is legit.

Is Cloud Paper Worth It?

Cloud Paper Review

Here’s a scary thought: Cloud Paper estimates that the average user flushes one tree’s worth of TP each year. Even if you’re done your darndest to commit to sustainable alternatives, I’m pretty sure that toilet paper didn’t top your list of concerns.

This brand is here to not only make you aware of your TP usage’s effect on your ecological footprint, but it does its best to help you reduce that. They offer a great selection of eco-friendly alternatives, ranging from paper towels to TP that will help you stay clean and committed to sustainability.

If you value company transparency, sustainability, and material quality, I highly recommend that you give them a try.
