Overview of Cricut

Cricut Review

Cricut was founded back in 1969 with a simple machine— a minimal cutting plotter. The brand has grown exponentially since then. They’ve updated their products over the years to include the Cricut Maker 3, which cuts into 300 different materials. The company now also includes heat presses in their signature product line.

At its core though, Cricut is always looking to give individuals a new way to be creative and inventive with their DIY projects and crafting. And above all else, they hope to make these projects fun and seamless.

Headquartered in Utah, Cricut manufactures its products both domestically and overseas.

Now that I’ve cut into the origins of this brand, let’s go through a quick rundown of all of the things that make it a phenomenal craft device company.

Put these labels on anything you produce, and they’ll look like they’ve come straight from a professional manufacturer!

It’s super easy to learn how to use this product due to the Cricut Joy app that’ll connect directly to your machine’s bluetooth. The Cricut Joy is currently priced at $150 (down from $180).

Cricut Review

Cricut exists for individuals that love to craft, get creative, and enjoy getting hands-on with all projects that require a die-cutting machine. So while writing this Cricut review I think this nifty machine is perfect for DIY devotees.

Luckily, these machines don’t just cut paper anymore. They’re able to cut through various textures and thicknesses, such as wood, fabric, vinyl, leather, or even cork. You can design and cut everything from tiny personalized projects to toys for your kids, or even artwork for the walls. The possibilities are endless!

How Does Cricut Work?

Cricut Review

Cricut machines seem like magical little vessels for craft enthusiasts, because once you take the plunge, a whole new world of possibilities opens up! For skeptics or those that are new to the Cricut world, you might pause and wonder how these little guys actually work. That’s why my Cricut review is here to help.

First off, it depends on what type of Cricut machine you have, since each model works a little differently. For example, if you have the Cricut Joy, it can help you make emblems, cards, tags, and more.

Whereas the Cricut Maker 3 is called the “most powerful smart cutting machine” the brand has made to date. It uses a number of unique tools, including various blades, scoring devices and tips, to intricately cut over 300 different types of materials. There’s also the heat press machines that use their heat transfer technology on fabrics or mugs.

Most of these machines are now app friendly, so you can plan your project until your heart’s content. Then you just insert your materials and the Cricut will do all the creative cutting or embossing for you!

No matter what machine you have, you can produce a professional looking, mega-detailed piece of art that your friends and family will admire.
