About DockATot

DockATot Review

DockATot might just have the stylish, safe, and functional baby products you’ve been looking to add to your home for your little one.

Designed in Sweden, the award-winning company has been featured in the likes of Harper’s Bazaar, People Magazine, Vogue, and Parenting Magazine, and has even grabbed Kourtney Kardashian’s attention.

It appears she’s not alone, because DockATot has a whopping 848k Instagram followers, staying on top of the latest (adorable!) prints, patterns, giveaways, and parenting inspiration

Although I’ll be looking closely specifically at the line of baby and toddler docks here, it’s worth mentioning the company also offers a sweet Home Collection featuring charming play tents, stylish nursing pillows, as well as joyful Toy Sets and Arches to add to the fun and function of your baby’s dock.

The cozy little padded nooks look like the perfect solution to keep your baby out of harm’s way. In my DockATot review, I’ll check out the bestselling docks, promotions, safety, sustainability, and everything in between to help you decide if these docks are the right fit for your tot.

Overview of DockATot

DockATot Review

Inspired by the birth of her first son, founder Lisa Furuland Kotsianis created DockATot after being unable to find a comfortable, soothing, and versatile lounging pad for the multitude of tasks that come with being the parent of a baby or toddler.

At first glance, DockATot products are completely swoon-worthy, with a gorgeous online and social media aesthetic and even more attractive products. In having a closer look, the company becomes even more admirable in its progressive designs and safety/sustainability efforts, all while being handmade by a small team in Europe.

The docks come in a range of styles, all offering a cozy, 100% cotton, nest-like look and feel for the infant. Some boast quaint floral and botanical prints, while others feature cool tones of blues and greys, as well as trendy, minimalist options like crisp white or a chevron pattern as seen in the Silver Lining Deluxe+. If you love funky animal prints and statement jewel tones, DockATot has you covered.

Parents enjoy how easy the docks are to transport and are loving the versatility. Not only that, the company has done extensive research and fabric testing, and only sources from suppliers that have partnered with and live up to the standards of Oeko-Tex, ensuring there’s nothing harmful hiding in the materials.

The boat-like loungers are not only pleasing to the eye, but they also seem multi-functional and easy to clean, with a zipper neatly tucked away for removal of the cover. Before I take a closer look in this DockATot review, let’s go over some basic features.

DockATot Review

In my DockATot review, I’ll go over a few of the docks offered on the company’s website. The docks featured come in sizes for babies from 0-8 months, and 9-36+ months, and are all made with fabrics that meet the highest quality standards, certified by Oeko-Tex.

DockATot Deluxe Review

The Deluxe+ Collection is the company’s most sought-after dock and seems to be a hit with the 0-8 months crowd, with a built-in buckle to adjust the size as your baby grows.

The Deluxe+ is also ideal for traveling with the optional additional travel tote, and the possibility to add play accessories makes it a cross-functional choice for your day-to-day needs while offering your baby a little piece of home on the go.

The Deluxe+ sizes up at 29” long (when the buckle is closed) by 18” wide. Let’s have a look at the Deluxe+ Dock bestsellers:

DockATot Deluxe+ Dock Pristine White Review

If you love crisp white and simplicity, the DockATot Deluxe+ Dock Pristine White is for you. But let’s be real – keeping things white with a baby might be a bit difficult, so it would probably be best to add some replacement covers to your cart too. That way, you have an extra cover ready to go while the original is in the wash or to change up the style to suit your mood.

The Pristine White Deluxe+ Dock can be found for $150.

DockATot Deluxe+ Dock Willow Boughs Review

The chill-out energy that comes with the DockATot Deluxe+ Willow Boughs print might be the extra flare you’re looking to add to your baby’s zen game. Plants are so on-trend! There’s something extra calming about this print and it may just be a favorite.

Find it now for $205.

DockATot Grand Review

When your baby is growing strong and ready for an upgrade you’ll need to look into the DockATot Grand. Suitable for babies aged 9-36+ months, the DockATot Grand features all the bells and whistles of its smaller counterpart, with additional space (50% longer and 50% wider) and thoughtful detail for your wriggling bundle of joy.

The extra open space for extra movement is definitely a perk. I’ll have a closer look at these bestsellers:

DockATot Grand Dock Marine Chambray Review

Looking at the DockATot Grand Dock Marine Chambray feels like a day at the spa or collecting sea glass on a quiet beach. Nothing at all like raising an energetic toddler, but you have to take what you can get when it comes to serenity.

The Grand Dock can be yours for $275.

DockATot Grand Dock Pristine White Review

The DockATot Grand Dock Pristine White looks light and airy, which is always a nice addition to any room. Like the Deluxe+, additional covers in fun and fashionable prints can be purchased if you’re ready to spice things up, or you know, cover up a spill before you can get to your stain remover.

This is also priced at $275.

DockATot Covers Review

DockATot covers come in an array of tones and patterns and is machine washable to boot. The packaging is small and clean making for easy shipping. Some of the bestsellers are Celestial Blue and Strawberry Cream.

DockATot Spare Cover Deluxe+ Celestial Blue Review

The calming color of the DockATot Spare Cover Deluxe+ Celestial Blue is enough to make you want to crawl in and snuggle in itself, but would also be just enough to hide spills and spit-ups.

The Deluxe+ in Celestial Blue would certainly send one off to dreamland for $75.

DockATot Spare Cover Deluxe+ Strawberry Cream Review

The last item in my DockATot review is the DockATot Spare Cover Deluxe+ Strawberry Cream. It’s another great choice if you want to have a patternless color option that is soothingly soft in tone.

Scoop up the Strawberry Cream cover for $75, ice cream pun intended.

DockATot Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

DockATot Review

Not only is the media raving about this company, customers are loving them too with mainly 5-star DockATot reviews to show for it.

In an article on Motherly, Allaya Cooks-Campbell wrote: “Already a favorite for families and a registry must-have, the new designs feature florals and marbleized prints that are super soothing and so chic.”

Parents are thrilled with the versatility and are giving points for style to boot. Some parents love them so much they are buying multiples and referring friends, and some DockATots have lasted so long they have been handed down to expecting friends over and over.

From one customer: “This is our second one purchased. First one was given to a family member. I would call it the sisterhood of the traveling DockATot because so many family members reused my first one. I am pregnant again and decided to get a brand new one and wow is it gorgeous! I will forever recommend the DockATot to parents of babies.”

The few negative DockATot reviews come from customers feeling that the product was smaller than expected, and some customers had difficulty putting the cover back on after a wash, though it’s hard to say if that was a user error after using a dryer.

Parents leaving reviews seem to feel the product is very safe, including one verified buyer who says in her review of the Deluxe+ Dock: “We’ve used our DockATot daily because he’s so safe in it. Thank you!”

Now, I know you’re curious as to what Kourtney Kardashian thinks about DockATot, so here is a direct quote from her as seen in the Press & Praise section of the website: “Because we did so much traveling when Mason was a baby, and I took him everywhere with me, I also traveled with the DockATot.”

There you have it! In summary, here’s an idea of what the majority of customers think:

  • Deluxe+: 5 stars, from 647 reviews
  • Grand Docks: 5 stars, from 167 reviews
  • Covers for Deluxe+: 5 stars, from 86 reviews
  • Covers for Grand: 5 stars, from 51 reviews

Is DockATot Worth It?

DockATot Review

Going through customer reviews and exploring DockATot’s website and social media channels, has led to wishing for the grown-up version. In looking for a snuggly soft, easy to clean, and safe (with supervision) relax pad for your little one, the DockATot proves to be a great option.

Aside from their adorable docks, they offer cute decor and functional baby products, with design and health in mind. Considering the in-depth testing, both in product quality and supplier requirements, as well as style, functionality, and options for accessories, DockATot seems to be worth the price.

The products are built to last and would be an easy product to repurpose if you run out of friends and family to pass them along to. I’m looking at you, childless cat/dog owners.
