About I.AM.GIA

I.AM.GIA Review

I.AM.GIA. is an Australian-based women’s clothing brand that provides trendy and cutting-edge fashion.

Featured in Forbes and InStyle, and with a massive following of 1.2M Instagram followers, I.AM.GIA has made a name for itself. The brand is even worn by celebrities such as American Horror Stories star, Kaia Gerber, and famous model, Bella Hadid

With so much attention given to the brand, this I.AM.GIA review will take a look at some of the apparel pieces and clothing categories to help you decide if it’s worth it.

Overview of I.AM.GIA

I.AM.GIA Review

Founded by Australian sisters Alana Pallister and Stevie Cox in 2017, I.AM.GIA caters to a millennial and Gen Z demographic, creating apparel based on the ‘It’ girl.

Inspired by her favorite film, Gia, starring Angela Jolie, Alana envisioned her designs on the world’s first supermodel, Gia Carangi.

Using the badass Gia as the main character of the brand, I.AM.GIA embraces edgier fashion for anyone who wants to go against what society dictates, with a personality fit for trendsetters and influencers.

This I.AM.GIA review will take a closer look at some of the highlights of the brand.

I.AM.GIA Review

The brand has a wide range of categories from tops to swimwear and even specific lines like Tinkatelle, Astarte, and X Rated, featuring sets so you can pair tops and bottoms together within the same page instead of having to hunt for matching pieces.

We’ll take a look at some of the brand’s bestsellers in core categories such as pants, jackets, and bodysuits for a better grasp of the brand’s unique style.

And though we can’t possibly cover everything I.AM.GIA has to offer, like the I.AM.GIA Naomi Top, the I.AM.GIA Lyra top, or the I.AM.GIA Ankaa top, we encourage you to check them out on their site!

I.AM.GIA Pants Review

If you’ve ever wanted to dress up as your favorite Bratz doll or been a fan of the Totally Spies series growing up, then look no further.

The brand’s pants fit the bill in terms of recreating a California-esque character look and once you see the pants selected for this I.AM.GIA review, we’re sure you’ll no doubt agree.

I.AM.GIA HALO Pant Review

Many of us love a straight pant look but it can be hard to find ones that are fun and sexy. That’s where the I.AM.GIA Halo Pant comes in, with attached strings for a bit of 90s nostalgia.

A fitted pant made from bamboo and spandex, the Halo Pant comes with adjustable drawstrings for your own comfort and cater to your figure and waist rather than restricting you. The mid-rise pants rest between the hips and belly, accentuating all of your curves.

It should be noted in this I.AM.GIA review that the Halo Pant is also offered in other prints, which usually go on sale in comparison to solid colors. If you’re looking for more vibrancy or a good deal, then opting for the print is the best way to get the Halo pant without paying full price.

Available in sizes XXS to XL, the Halo Pant retails at $70.

I.AM.GIA JEAN Pant Review

If you’re looking for something a little more versatile than the Halo Pant, yet could easily pair with anything you’ve already got in your closet, then the I.AM.GIA Jean Pant is a solid choice.

A straight pant disguised as a skinny fit, these trousers will change your perception on what flatters your figure. Made from spandex and cotton (hello comfort!), the Jean Pant is meant for daily wear, with a breathable quality about them that will essentially feel like second skin.

What makes this pair of black bottoms truly unique are the subtle details like lace work running along the legs and a waistband shaped like a V for an edgier and more stylish appearance. Since these pants are high waisted, you can even pair it with the I.AM.GIA Maddy set for a stunning look.

The available sizes are XXS to XL. The Jean Pant retails at $75, and is currently on sale for $55

The latest fashion trend rocked by celebrity figures like Bella Hadid or Dua Lipa are cargo pants, combining a tomboy look with touches of femininity to make a statement wherever they go. And the I.AM.GIA Cobain Pants fits that description perfectly.

A high waisted cargo pant that comes in solid black, these trousers are made entirely out of cotton and feature details that make them more special. The Cobain Pant comes with an attached chain, giving it an edgier look while the bottom hem is cuffed to show off your kicks.

This I.AM.GIA review notes that the fit is described as oversized, so you could possibly go down a size. The available sizes are:

The available sizes are XXS to XL. The I.AM.GIA Cobain Pants retail at $75.

I.AM.GIA LUCID Pant Review

If none of the pants covered so far appealed to you, then the I.AM. GIA Lucid Pant might be more up your alley.

A vibrant and luscious purple, these pants are mid-rise and straight just like the Halo Pant covered earlier in this I.AM.GIA review, but instead of drawstrings, these pants have cutouts on the hip and three strings on the side.

The pants also contain subtle hardware towards the back so it’s almost like you’re wearing a waist chain. The I.AM.GIA Lucid Pant is made from mainly viscose, polyester, and spandex so you won’t have to worry about ironing as the material won’t wrinkle on you.

In case purple doesn’t fit your style, the Lucid Pant is available in other colors as well: orange, white, and beige with a check print.

It should be noted at the writing of this review, the Lucid Pant in orange and beige is currently on sale for $55. It comes in sizes XXS to XL.

I.AM.GIA Jackets Review

I.AM.GIA jackets can be summed up as Juicy Couture meets Missy Elliot with trendy colors, prints, and fabrics for a very Instagrammable style.

We’ll look at one coat and one jacket in this I.AM.GIA review, where both can be styled with other pieces whatever your personal preference is.

I.AM.GIA PIXIE Coat Review

The I.AM.GIA Pixie Coat is like your typical teddy coat but lighter. Wear it whenever you want to feel as if a big bear is hugging you. The brand states that the fit is more oversized, but cuffed at the sleeves and hips to give you more of a shape.

It’s made from shearling and polyester, so you can stay warm during those brisk fall or early spring days. You could throw on your favorite I.AM.GIA sweatshirt and be warm enough to run errands.

It also comes with a full-length zip and collar for added warmth and functionality in case you want to take the coat out on more chillier days.

Unlike the I.AM.GIA Blaster Jacket, what makes this coat a real winner are the large pockets in the front where you can store your phone.

The available sizes are XS to L. But remember, this coat is oversized and the brand recommends you going a size smaller if you want a snug fit.

The Pixie Coat retails at $95 and is currently on sale for $55.

I.AM.GIA 717 TEDDY Jacket Review

A cropped jacket with a thicker waistband, this covering is a new take on the teddy coat style. The jacket comes with a full-length zip and a hood for a little edge while giving off a petite look. This would pair well with high-raised pants or a skirt, while the neutral golden tone would complement anything you’re wearing.

What makes the jacket unique are the bell sleeves that create a feminine effect. In addition to this, the material of the jacket is synthetic and not actual fur, yet there’s still that special softness when you run your hands over it. Hello cozy vibes? Yes, please!

The I.AM.GIA Teddy Jacket is currently on sale for $55

I.AM.GIA Bodysuits Review

Bodysuits are a staple in any woman’s closet. If you’re ever looking to wear something tight but want to avoid any bumps, then a bodysuit might just be the answer to your problems.

The brand has plenty of bodysuits to look at but we’ve selected two in this I.AM.GIA review to see if they live up to the hype.

I.AM.GIA ELARA Bodysuit Review

The brand really went with a unique print for this I.AM.GIA bodysuit, proving that camo is here to stay and will never be just a fad.

This bodysuit has a high cut, G-string bottom, and outer meshing for a sexier effect instead of your typical camo print that’s overdone. It also has a mock turtleneck with contrasting black material on the arm cuffs for additional detailing. All the little features really set this bodysuit apart from the rest.

The Elara Bodysuit would be great for a wild night out with the girls. The long sleeves and high neck will keep you warm but the print gives off the badass vibe I.AM.GIA is known for.

The bodysuit comes in the following sizes XXS to XL. The Elara Bodysuit is currently on sale for $40.

I.AM.GIA SADIE Bodysuit Review

As a brand, I.AM.GIA clearly wants to spice things up with their line of bodysuits. Not only have they experimented with prints and materials but with cuts and silhouettes as well, and the Sadie Bodysuit is proof of that.

Consider this bodysuit the epitome of sexy without having to try too hard. The all-black piece has a high G-string cut but fits like a brief, and the unique shape of the openings loop over your hips so you have a fully exposed back. The cutouts provide you with a more flattering and universally pleasing shape that will show off your curves to the max.

The plunging neckline and thin straps also define the Sadie as sexy, making it ideal for summer or a fun night out.

The available sizes are XXS to XL. The Sadie Bodysuit retails at $55, and is currently on sale for $30.

Who is I.AM.GIA For?

I.AM.GIA Review
  • For millennials and Gen Z
  • For those who like risque and edgier fashion

I.AM.GIA is definitely more out of the box and requires you to push the boundaries of your comfort zone. Since the brand is tailored with former supermodel Gia Carangi in mind, it loses out on producing clothing for petite or plus sizes.

Throughout this I.AM.GIA review, the sizes varied depending on the category of clothing but generally speaking, I.AM.GIA only caters to sizes XXS to XL. It may not be the best brand to go for if your true size is not offered.

Comparison: I.AM.GIA vs. Jagger and Stone

I.AM.GIA Review

Now that you have a better idea of what the brand I.AM.GIA is like, let’s take a look at one of their competitors and see whether they match up.

Jagger and Stone features a street style with a more unisex fit and sporty look. Where I.AM.GIA is feminine and sexy, Jagger and Stone is more casual with hints of sexier clothing, normally found in their dresses and swimwear.

Jagger and Stone also provides more sizing options, ranging from 0 to 14. You’ll even see curvier plus size women modelling some apparel pieces, offering a diverse body range as you scroll.

However, unlike I.AM.GIA, Jagger and Stone only has an Australian base, whereas I.AM.GIA has several bases in the US and the Americas for ease of shipping. If you live in North America and order Jagger and Stone, you will be subjected to international taxes and import fees.

In terms of pricing, the two brands are very similar, with many pieces under the $200 mark. As mentioned in this I.AM.GIA review, it would be worth it to purchase Jagger and Stone if you lived in Australia, as you will have to pay quite high shipping costs to bring an order to North America.

I.AM.GIA Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

I.AM.GIA Review

And with that, we’ve arrived at the part where this I.AM.GIA review uncovers some customer feedback. If you’re curious to read what buyers have been saying about their purchases, keep reading!

Out of 2,850 reviews on Trustpilot, I.AM.GIA received a 4/5 star rating. The majority of the reviews state that they were happy with their purchases, noting that the quality was better than what they expected.

One customer mentioned that, “…quality is amazing and the fit is perfect! The shipping was super fast and the communication was good!”

Another shopper who gave I.AM.GIA 5/5 stars states, “Amazing brand! Such cute clothes and super friendly employees!”

On Sitejabber, one user gave the brand a 5-star review and wrote, “The quality of I Am Gia clothing is superior to other online stores and their pieces are so unique – you’ll never show up to a party wearing the same thing as someone else.”

An honest I.AM.GIA review by the youtuber Sharmin Brunell discussed how the pieces may seem expensive, but that the construction of the clothing and the unique designs make up for it.

We did find a few complaints about the company, many of which stemmed from incorrect sizing and ill fit. Fortunately, the one thing this I.AM.GIA can note is that the brand did respond to everyone who commented, good or bad, which is promising. Plus, they have a size guide which we recommend consulting before hitting checkout.

Is I.AM.GIA Worth It?

I.AM.GIA Review

If you live in either Australia or the U.S., I.AM.GIA may be a good brand to invest in if you’re interested in the type of style they have to offer. They can make any woman feel confident and stylish.

Many customers online have praised the company for their bold approach and how they stood out (in a good way) at social gatherings. All things considered, this I.AM.GIA review gives them two thumbs up.
