Numilk is a plant-based milk dispenser that serves a 16oz bottle of some of your favorite barista-quality products you would normally find at Starbucks. This machine uses pouches of pure plant-based powdered milk that’s similar to single-serving coffee capsules. Instead of coffee, you get milk. 

This startup is still finding its feet but has a growing following with 1.3k likes on Facebook and nearly 8k followers on Instagram. The company’s product was even featured in an episode of the TV show Shark Tank and the brand has been noted by CNBC and Forbes for its quick growth. 

In this Numilk review, we pour a cold glass of the company’s policies, the different kinds of milk they sell, and the three milk-making machines they plan to bring to market. After that, we’ll showcase some customer reviews to give you a better picture of this new product. 

Overview of Numilk

Founded in 2018 by Ari Tolwin and Joe Savino, they saw the potential of vegan products in stores and wanted to bring alternative milk to the table with less impact on the earth. Alternative options are great for people who have allergies to your typical glass of milk, but making those other choices hasn’t been the best for the planet. 

The co-founders appeared on season 12, episode 18 of Shark Tank, accepting an offer from Mark Cuban. That backing along with their successful Kickstarter campaign helped the company create smaller machines you can have on your countertop at home for fresh vegan milk, anytime you want.

Numilk Review

Imagine making your own milk at home without going to all the trouble of blending and straining the ingredients yourself. This dispenser comes in three options depending on your needs, and we’ll cover each in the next part of this Numilk review.

Numilk Home Review

The Numilk Home is the entry-level dispenser offered by the company. Its slick metal design and charming wood handle give it an inviting feel. The Home dispenser makes a 16oz glass of plant-based milk for you to enjoy in other drinks or on its own.  

This is the only personal home product in our Numilk review and we’re pretty excited for it! The home model can be preordered for $323, currently available for $249. Flavor packs and Numilk drinking bottles need to be purchased separately.     

Numilk Pro Review

The Numilk Pro is your industrial-sized version, making a 32oz bottle of milk rather than 16oz. While it could be used in your home, it’s better suited for a cafe, bar, or restaurant. 

The stainless steel dispenser is 18” tall, weighing 35 lbs. As we said, it could go in your home but it may take up more room than you’d like. The design is also more industrial-looking and has none of the charm of the Home dispenser. 

The Numilk Pro dispenser can be preordered for $799, currently on sale for $699.      

Numilk Kiosk Review 

A Numilk Kiosk is something you may come across in a grocery store so you don’t have to buy those single-use alternative milk with a ton of fillers or preservatives. They’re super easy to use — grab a bottle and put it in the chamber. Use the touchpad to select your preferred milk flavor and relax, you’re helping save the planet while drinking delicious milk. 

The Numilk Kiosk generally costs $5 per bottle but the price may vary depending on your region.   

Who Is Numilk For? 

Numilk is a great solution for anyone looking to drink plant-based milk at home. The milk also has no preservatives or fillers, making it perfect for those who wish to drink pure ingredients.

A feature we have not called attention to in our Numilk review so far is the option to make a protein shake or lattes using one of the pouches. Your mouth may thank you for switching to Numilk. 

How Does Numilk Work? 

Numilk is very easy to use as it works exactly like a single-serve coffee machine. All you need is a Numilk pouch, water, and a dispenser.  

Just follow these steps: 

1. Fill the bottle with water and place it under the nozzle.
2. Load the pouch in the dispenser.
3. Pull down the lever and press Start.
4. Watch the bottle fill with delicious plant-based milk!   

Numilk Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Numilk is a relatively new product and does not have a massive customer base, but we have tracked down some thoughts from early adopters. Now let’s head straight into our customer rating section of our Numilk review.

On Thingtesting.com, they gave it 4/5 stars, “I don’t have one of their at-home machines, but I use the big machine in the Williamsburg Whole Foods. My stomach is sensitive…so having a fresh option like Numilk is really appealing to me. I love the simple ingredients and the feeling of “making” my own oat milk, too. The taste is great and I love it in matcha lattes.”

Another happy customer gave the Numilk Kiosk 3/5 stars, saying, “I made my own oat milk with Numilk’s grocery store machine at the WF in Williamsburg. It was fun but the station was quite messy which made me question the hygiene. The milk was tasty and did not curdle in my coffee (aka my number one criteria for oat milk).”

Another fan on their Facebook gave the product 5/5 stars, commenting, “Amazing, fresh, and the most delicious non-dairy milk available. Delicious straight, as a base for smoothies or in any recipe that calls for milk!” 

Numilk is a fairly new company and the only way you can test their products at the moment is at your local supermarket. The Home dispenser is set to ship out for the holidays in 2022. 

Is Numilk Worth It?

Yes, if you enjoy plant-based milk made from whole, healthy ingredients. Instead of tossing out those single-use alternative milk packages from the store, you can make your own milk and reuse the bottle. 

This product may not be right for you if you don’t drink plant-based milk, but maybe this Numilk review has piqued your interest. We suggest it’s always something to consider if you’re looking for something outside the standard.

Who owns Numilk?

The company is owned by angel investors along with the co-founders, Ari Tolwin and Joe Savino.

Does Numilk ship internationally?

Yes. For presales of their Home dispenser, Numilk will ship internationally to Canada, Kosovo, and the Canary Islands. Any duties or taxes charged will fall to the buyer. 

What is Numilk’s Shipping Policy?

The products are in presale so an order now will place you in line for the product’s launch set for 2022. 

What is Numilk’s Return Policy?

As their release has been delayed until August 2022, this Numilk review found the company plans to have a 14-day return policy (for unused items) once you receive the product.

Since the company has been experiencing year-long delays, they do understand if anyone who supported their Kickstarter campaign is unable to wait any longer for their product to arrive. Keeping that in mind, you do have some options when it comes to a refund:

• If you pre-ordered the Numilk Home dispenser, you can submit a refund request, minus an 8% processing fee.
