About Soocas Neos

Soocas Neos Review

Be honest; do you floss often? Chances are, not often enough. 20% of Americans never floss and less than half floss regularly enough to meet the at-least-once-per-day minimum requirements, as this survey reported. Rather than working flossing into your schedule, wouldn’t it be easier to brush and floss your teeth at the same time?

That’s the idea behind the Soocas Neos, a new 2-in-1 toothbrush from Soocas that combines the cleaning prowess of brushing and flossing. It’s slightly more complex than that, and I’ll get into those details later in this Soocas Neos review.

Soocas is a small company who just wrapped up a successful Kickstarter campaign for the Neos, raising more than $73 when their goal was a modest $20k. They promoted the toothbrush as a “single solution that cures all your problems,” with those problems being dental bills, a dirty mouth, and a cluttered counter.

Keep reading my Soocas Neos review to find out how well the product accomplishes that goal. I’ll look at how it works, what’s included with every purchase, who the product is for, and more. First, let’s cover the toothbrush’s highlights.

Highlights

  • Multi-functional: The Soocas Neos provides better brushing and flossing coverage than typical toothbrushes and water flosses thanks to its robust engineering.
  • Customization: The Soocas Neos has an array of modes and speeds that allows users to brush and floss in the style best suited for them.
  • Small Design: Your countertops should be free from clutter because the Soocas Neos has a small base and doesn’t require external water storage.
  • Long Battery Life: This toothbrush boasts a 30-day battery life.
  • Built-In Timer: The toothbrush uses its own timer to dictate how long you should brush your teeth, which can help you brush more thoroughly if you’re currently not brushing enough.

Soocas Neos Review

Soocas Neos Review

The Soocas Neos is a battery-operated toothbrush and flossing hybrid that aims to perform better than either instrument.  Part of that is down to its ergonomic design. It has a handle with grip aids and a head that matches the contours of our mouths.

It takes up less space than a regular water flosser because it doesn’t need a huge tub of water. The Soocas Neos stores the water in its nozzle. To begin brushing and flushing, you’ll fill it up with water, and you can dump it out once you are finished. This should clear some space off of your counter or kitchen sink.

Speaking of clearing space, the Neos can nest in its recharging dock when it’s not in use. It rests upright, allowing it to dry off and taking up less total area than if it were lying down.

The battery should last for 30 days before needing a full charge. The Soocas Neos will indicate when its battery is running low, so you should never feel caught off guard.

Now, you may be wondering how well a battery-operated device works if it needs to submerge underwater. It turns out that it works quite well since the Soocas Neos is certified IPX8 Waterproof, meaning it can be immersed in more than a liter of water and continue to function.

Once it goes on sale, you can purchase the Soocas Neos for $230. However, I’ve included a discount later in this Soocas Neos review that can save you nearly 50%.

What’s In The Box?

Soocas Neos Review

This section of my Soocas Neos review will discuss everything that’s included in the box, which isn’t that much, honestly. Soocas kept their deliveries light, so don’t expect too much in your order. Each box includes the following:

  • A Soocas Neos toothbrush
  • A wireless charging dock
  • A USB-A cable for the dock
  • Four toothbrush heads with plastic covers
  • One travel bag
  • One water tank cleaning brush

How Does The Soocas Neos Work?

Soocas Neos Review

That’s a wall of jargon on the Soocas Neos product page that can obfuscate how the toothbrush works. Soocas throw around terms like TrySync, HydroSonic, and AquaJet. In this section of my Soocas Neos review, I’ll explain how the device works and break down those complex terms into layman’s terms.

Basically, the toothbrush vibrates so quickly that it forces toothpaste to bubble and foam more than a standard toothbrush. The foam can enter into tight spaces between the teeth and gums that otherwise it won’t be able to reach.

The toothbrush has two modes, Deep Clean and Quick Clean. The former is a three-step process that first brushes away food debris and then transitions into polishing and flossing. The latter skips that first step and provides you with under a minute of brushing and flossing action.

The TriSync system is a web of interconnected technologies that essentially vibrate water in between your teeth. It’s the basis of the Soocas Neos and is the main actor in the brush’s deep cleaning capabilities.

Next, there’s the HydroSonic technology, which I outlined a few paragraphs ago. It’s the speedy vibrations that cause your toothpaste to develop into foam and coat your teeth.

Lastly, the AquaJet is the Soocas Neos’ equivalent to flossing. As the name suggests, it shoots a stream of water in between your teeth to dig out food and debris. Due to how close you’ll hold the Soocas Neos to your teeth, the jet should be aiming directly at the space between teeth, meaning that it’s more accurate than traditional flossing.

You can modify the AquaJet to operate at one of three intensities:

  1. Gentle
  2. Standard
  3. Strong

Who Is The Soocas Neos For?

Soocas Neos Review

Truthfully, the Soocas Neos is an expensive toothbrush. Most toothbrushes don’t retail for over $200, so you are looking at a steep investment off the bat. However, it’s likely worthwhile for folks who don’t floss their teeth regularly enough or who’ve tried to improve their dental hygiene with little success.

Is Soocas Neos Legit?

Soocas Neos Review

At the time of writing this Soocas Neos review, there weren’t any publicly available customer reviews or testimonials. That casts a bit of a shadow of doubt, but it’s not a bad thing. The product simply hasn’t been released yet. As such, I don’t think there’s any real reason to be skeptical of the product.

Is The Soocas Neos Worth It?

Soocas Neos Review

Based on everything I’ve presented in my Soocas Neos review, I don’t think there’s any reason not to buy into the hype. This toothbrush can help you maintain a solid brushing and flossing schedule, it has a great battery life, and it provides tons of flexibility with how you clean your teeth.

Is it expensive? For sure, and I won’t argue that with you. What I will say is that dental hygiene is criminally undervalued and that we could all benefit from putting a little more time and effort into taking care of our teeth, gums, and tongue.

In that case, even if you’re not sold by what you read in this Soocas Neos review, then check out the next section to see how you can upgrade your dental care game.

How To Choose The Best Toothbrush

Soocas Neos Review

Here are some tips to help you choose the best electric toothbrush for your needs:

  • Consider Your Oral Health Needs: Take into account your specific oral health needs, such as sensitive teeth, gum disease, or plaque buildup. Some electric toothbrushes offer specialized brush heads or modes to address these concerns.
  • Brushing Technology: Look for electric toothbrushes with advanced brushing technology. Features like oscillating/rotating bristles, sonic vibration, or pulsating movements can enhance plaque removal and provide a more thorough cleaning.
  • Brushing Modes and Intensity: Check if the electric toothbrush offers multiple brushing modes and intensity settings. Different modes like daily cleaning, sensitive mode, gum care, or whitening can cater to individual preferences and requirements.
  • Timer and Quadpacer: A built-in timer and quadpacer can be beneficial for ensuring adequate brushing time and even coverage. These features help divide the recommended two minutes of brushing into equal intervals for each quadrant of your mouth.
  • Battery Life and Charging Options: Consider the battery life of the electric toothbrush and the charging options it provides. Look for models with long-lasting batteries that can hold a charge for an extended period. Some electric toothbrushes also offer travel cases with USB charging capabilities.
  • Consult with Your Dentist: Your dentist can offer valuable advice and recommendations based on your oral health condition and specific needs. They may suggest specific features or brands that align with your dental care requirements.

Alternatives

Let’s look at a few brands with similarly impressive toothbrushes.

  • M0de Toothbrush: This electric toothbrush can brush, whiten, and massage teeth in addition to alerting users when they’re applying too much pressure.
  • Quip: The ideal electric toothbrush for traveling, this device has plenty of features like a mirror mount and a long battery life that elevate it above other traveling dental instruments.
