About Sozy

Sozy Review

During the pandemic, with fewer big occasions taking place, a new style of clothes took hold. Women wanted comfortable clothes that looked stylish so that they could wear them all day long, whether to work or to play.

That’s where Sozy found its niche. Sozy, a combination of the words ‘soft’ and ‘cozy,’ is a sustainable clothing line owned and designed by women. With 100k Instagram followers, people are starting to get to know the Sozy brand. And if you’d like to learn more about this up-and-coming clothing line, my Sozy review will give you all the scoop.

In this Sozy review, I’ll help you make an informed decision before buying any of their products. I’ll do this by checking out their customer reviews, the Sozy product line, their company values, as well as promotions.

Overview of Sozy

Sozy Review

In 2019, Lanai Moliterno founded the Sozy brand in Encinitas, California. Her mission was to create comfortable, yet stylish, clothes for all-day wear. She wanted to do this in a sustainable way, and in a way that empowers women.

The clothes are handmade in the USA in small batches, using organic fabrics. They’re designed by women for women, and are made for a variety of shapes and sizes.

The company supports eco-friendly initiatives, women who have endured sexual abuse, and minority fashion designers trying to make their name in the business.

Before my Sozy review takes an in-depth look at some of their clothes, let’s take a glance at the highlights of this brand.

Highlights

  • Eco-friendly
  • Soft and comfortable clothes
  • Handmade
  • Socially conscious
  • Organic materials
  • Woman owned
  • Made in the USA
  • Small batches of items (so sometimes not available)

Sozy Review

The Sozy line of clothing includes tops, bottoms and one-pieces. They’re all soft and cozy, and meant for everyday wear. This Sozy review will take a look at some of the brand’s best-selling clothes.

Sozy Kendall Crop Top Luxe Review

Crop tops are an American staple. They first came into existence during a WWII effort to save on fabric, tending to be a short blouse, tying in the front. In the ‘70s, bodybuilders brought them back when they cut their shirts, since gyms didn’t allow them to go shirtless. Today they’re all about fashion, not function.

The Sozy Kendall Crop Top has short sleeves and a round neck. To make it a little more exciting, it has a seam down the center of the front and a notch detail (which overlaps at the bottom of the front).

Available in eight different colors and sizes XS to XXL, there’s an option to fit anyone.

This soft shirt is made from 95% modal and 5% spandex to fit well and not ride up. It fits somewhat small, so many customers suggest that you size up when ordering. It retails for $38.

Sozy Camila Midi Skirt Review

I’m a fan of pockets in skirts, just like those found on the Sozy Camila Midi Skirt. This heavenly, soft skirt is a Sozy customer favorite and a staple of the Sozy line. With an elastic and tie waistband this skirt fits well but, when making a purchase, it’s suggested that you size up. What really gives the skirt a classic style is the rounded hem.

The Sozy Camila Midi Skirt is 95% modal and 5% spandex and comes in sizes XS to XXL. There are eight different colors to choose from, and it’s $56 on the brand’s website.

Sozy Tie-Dye Kendall Crop Top Review

In the same style as the Kendall Crop, the Sozy Tie-Dye Kendall Crop Top is more colorful and eye-catching. This isn’t the tie-dye of the ‘60s, but rather a more subtle blending of soft colors— cotton candy, sunset sorbet, mosey blue, midnight madness, and vintage dream.

Made from a blend of 92% polyester and 8% spandex, it comes in sizes XS to XXL. This fun top is priced at $38.

Sozy Elena Crop Top Review

Described by one customer as “buttery soft,” the Sozy Elena Crop Top is classy and flattering. It wraps in the front and has a self-tie. This short-sleeved crop top comes in your choice of four colors: black, olive, ivory, and peach. It’s also available in sizes XS to XXL. I think this shirt will be really flattering for all sizes and shapes.

This crop top fits true to size. The super-soft material is 95% modal and 5% spandex, and the top can be yours for $42.

Sozy Eva Midi Skirt Review

The Sozy Eva Midi Skirt is comfortable yet sexy. In a pseudo-wrap-around style, it leaves one leg exposed, in the mode made popular by Angelina Jolie a few years ago. Made of 92% cotton and 8% spandex, it fits snug, but comfortably. It comes in black or a mustard shade, and is the ideal companion to a Sozy crop top. Available in sizes XS to XXL, it retails for $52.

Sozy Blakely Pant Review

For versatility of use and comfort, the Sozy Blakely Pant is a great pair of pants. With a harem-like style and a front waist tie, it can be worn day or night, in a dressy or casual style. This bum caressing pant comes in antique blue or dark marsala, and with the tie front, it pairs well with a more basic, plain-style top.

It comes in sizes XS to XL, fits true to size, and is available for $68.

Who Is Sozy For?

Sozy clothes are for any woman who wants to look great and feel comfortable. They’re made to hug women in all the right places to flatter a woman’s body, no matter the size. The clothes come in small enough sizes for teens, making them ideal for schoolwear, keeping girls comfortable and looking good all day long. The same goes for working women.

Sozy Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

As a newer company that doesn’t sell their products through Amazon or department stores, the Sozy reviews outside of the brand’s website are scarce.

Although while doing my research for this Sozy review I did find one influencer who reviewed Sozy. There were no reviews on Trustpilot, nor were there complaints on the Better Business Bureau.

Before looking at what people have said, let’s take a look at how they rated Sozy clothes.

  • Sozy Kendall Crop Top Luxe4.9/5 stars from 146 reviews
  • Sozy Camila Midi Skirt 4.9/5 stars from 155 reviews
  • Sozy Kendall Tie-Dye Kendall Crop Top4.9/5 stars from 63 reviews
  • Sozy Elena Crop Top 4.9/5 stars from 61 reviews
  • Sozy Eva Midi Skirt4.9/5 stars from 54 reviews
  • Sozy Blakely Pants 4.9/5 stars from 39 reviews

The influencer I mentioned, Schimiggy, tested out some Sozy clothes, and ranked the brand on certain key features. As you can see, all of these ratings are quite high:

  1. Quality – 8.5/10
  2. Sizing – 8/10
  3. Comfortability – 9/10
  4. Affordability – 8.5/10
  5. Sustainability – 9/10

Customers on the Sozy website rave about the style, comfort, and softness of the brand’s products. This customer left a glowing review about the Tie-Dye crop top:

“I got the berry colored version of this shirt and it is so fun and comfortable. Definitely the softest short I own. The little overlapping detail in the front is such a fun touch, making this shirt more than just a plain T-shirt.”

Sozy clothes are meant to empower women and this mission is succeeding, according to this woman who paired Sozy Camila skirts with the Elena crop top: “I have this top now in both black & white! It works perfectly with the Camilla skirts I ordered and I couldn’t be happier!”

“I think I could have sized down though. I have a larger bust and for the most part I order up with tops because I’m afraid of falling out or tops being too tight. I normally wear a Medium but ordered a Large. Even though I think I could have gotten away with a medium I’m okay with what I have!”

“It’s still flattering & perfect for hot days! Shout out to Sozy for being a part in making me feel good about my body again :)”

Overall, Sozy has plenty of high ratings and glowing reviews from customers who really love their products. So there really doesn’t seem to be a downside to this brand at all. More than likely, Sozy will continue to grow, expand, and rise in popularity as time goes on.

Is Sozy Worth It?

Okay, let’s get to the point of this Sozy review and answer the question, is the brand worth your money? I say “yes,” primarily because the brand delivers a good quality and comfortable line of clothes. Also, the company helps the environment as well as women who have suffered from sexual abuse, which is an added bonus.

Plus, their apparel is sustainably made in the USA, and the company supports good causes, making their products worth every penny.

The Sozy brand offers something that few others do. They make clothes that are truly comfortable enough to be ‘laze-at-home’ clothes, but stylish enough to be worn out to any daytime occasion (or non-occasion).

Most of all, Sozy clothes help women look and feel beautiful. For that reason alone, to conclude this Sozy review I believe that Sozy is a worthwhile brand.
