About Stripes

Stripes Review

Stripes is an incredibly new company that specializes in menopause care. Their products combat and offset much of the dryness and itchiness that comes from menopause.

After enduring some tough effects of early menopause, actress Naomi Watts didn’t want anyone else to feel as alone and confused as she did. That’s why she created Stripes.

Partnering with biotechnology company Amyris, Watts founded Stripes to help break down the barriers and stigma surrounding menopause. She realized that there was a large gap in the health industry where people didn’t want to help, let alone talk about, menopause issues.

As such, she created Stripes to aid women who are going through menopause and its symptoms. They use sustainably sourced ingredients without any fillers in all of their products.

In my Stripes review, I will look at the products, prices, and customer scores of the company that has earned over 100k Instagram followers in less than 6 months.

So if you’re looking for some menopause dryness natural remedies and other health products, then keep reading about this Naomi Watts company. The next section of my review will cover some of the brand’s highlights.

Stripes Products Review

The best way to show you what sets Stripes apart is by providing you with a closer look at their products. In this section, you’ll find a few of their bestsellers.

Stripes The Power Move

The first item in my Stripes review is a moisturizing cocktail for your face. Stripes The Power Move contains three beneficial compounds:

  1. Ectoine: hydrates and protects.
  2. Squalane: moisturizes.
  3. Hyaluronic Acid: deeply hydrates.

These ingredients can help bolster your complexion, available in a 1 fl oz container for $85.

One buyer had this to say: “I am beyond grateful Stripes came out with this. I’m peri-menopausal and my once gorgeous skin became so dry. When I say dry, I mean scaly and gross. I always use big $ products to no avail. I tried Stripes’ serum and moisturizer and I cannot stop feeling my face. It’s soft, smooth, and supple. Thank you so much!”

Stripes Dew As I Do

The Stripes Dew As I Do differs from the previous item as it’s more vitamin-rich. It contains vitamins B, C, and E, alongside their favorite ingredient, Ectoine.

Designed to be applied every morning, this power-packed formula will help even out your skin’s tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines. You can grab a full-size 1.7 fl oz bottle for $80.

As one shopper put it: “This formula spread so easily over my skin and was absorbed immediately. It left behind no greasiness, no oiliness. My skin was smooth and ready to apply my makeup. The vitamins in it took away the dullness and brightened my skin. I had never heard of ectoine before, but it’s definitely doing its job of keeping my skin hydrated.”

Stripes The Crown Pleaser

Next up is the Stripes The Crown Pleaser, which repurposes amino acids and Ectoine into a hair-restoring paste.

One user described it as “the most amazingly effective hair mask” they have ever used. It’s no wonder they said that. This paste improves your hair’s quality and condition, and does everything in its power to revitalize your hair! All by simply applying it after you shampoo and leaving it in for 5 minutes.

A 6 fl oz tub of The Crown Pleaser is available for $40.

Stripes Oh My Glide

Sometimes you need some help in the bedroom, which is where Stripes’ lubricant comes in. Passion can get in the way of thinking, but Stripes has you covered with this oil-based formula.

Using squalane, coconut oil, avocado oil, and more, Oh My Glide will keep your skin nourished and moist while ensuring you can keep having fun.

Stripes Oh My Glide is an oil-based lubricant so it’s easier on your skin, especially in sensitive areas. You can buy a 3.3 fl oz bottle for $40.

One user wrote: “I was skeptical at first because other lubricants have helped a bit but not enough to eliminate some physical pain I’d started to experience since hitting menopause. Not so with Oh My Glide – this instantly felt soft, moisturizing and so smooth that there was not so much as a wince of discomfort on my part. I’m an instant convert.”

Stripes Vag of Honor

I’ll be honest. There’s no way I can describe the Stripes Vag of Honor, the brand’s dedicated vaginal moisturizer that uses hyaluronic acid, glycogen, and Ectoine, better than the person who wrote this Stripes review:

“This product is like a drink of water for my Hooha! I am a post-menopausal woman whose nether regions were like the Sahara: dusty and dry and quite frankly, uncomfortably irritated.”

They went on: “After several uses, I can say I am no longer experiencing the dryness and irritation. Vag of Honor is like an Oasis: lightweight yet super hydrating!!! Love, love, love!”

If that intrigues you, then you can pick up a 1.7 fl. oz. tube for $50. It’ll attack dry skin where you need it the most.

Stripes The Full Monty

The last product I want to talk about in my Stripes review is Stripes The Full Monty, which is a post-shower moisturizer that can help your skin shine. It contains:

  • Squalane
  • Acai Oil
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E
  • Kakadu Plum

Smells delightful and is super moisturizing. I have super dry skin and it made my skin soft and smell great all day long,” is how one user reviewed the Stripes The Full Monty. A 3.7 fl oz bottle costs $65.

Who Is Stripes For?

Stripes Review

Stripes’ obvious target demographic is older women who have experienced or are experiencing menopause. However, I think that their skin care products are good enough that everyone can put them to use.

Stripes Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Stripes Review

Since the company is so new, it was hard to find Stripes reviews aside from those on the brand’s website. However, I did collect the average scores for various customer reviews. Here they are:

  • The Power Move: 4.5/5 stars, 248 reviews
  • The Crown Pleaser: 4.6/5 stars, 263 reviews
  • Dew As I Do: 4.5/5 stars, 249 reviews
  • Oh My Glide: 4.5/5 stars, 21 reviews
  • Vag of Honor: 4.5/5 stars, 13 reviews
  • The Full Monty: 4.1/5 stars, 13 reviews

Something I should note before I go any further is that the majority of these Stripes reviews came from customers who received free products for the sake of reviews. Normally, I’d call this foul play, but considering how many customers were upfront about the deal, and the fact that there were some negative comments, I feel safe trusting that these reviewers were honest.

As you can see by the customer testimonials I included in my Stripes review, people were wilding out over these products. It’s one thing to leave a positive comment, but when a product is earning no-holds-barred comments like the ones buyers left on Stripes’ website, then you have something good on your hands (or, you know, elsewhere on your body).

Here’s what one buyer wrote about the Stripes Vag of Honor: “This formula is very light and very moisturizing/hydrating as my body has undergone changes due to medication usage. Has gotten the job done, provides hydration, and hasn’t been irritating in the slightest! No funky smell, stickiness, or ickiness at all! Def recommend!”

Another Stripes reviewer praised the whole brand and its concept: “I love the entire idea behind it and just knew I would love it! I usually use a very thick moisturizer because my skin can be dry. I am 39 years old and also trying to get used to my skin as it ages. This product is very lightweight but it left my skin feeling super hydrated and soft.”

They concluded: “It stayed that way also unlike other creams that leave my skin feeling tight and dry shortly after using. This product works great under makeup also.”

Some Stripes reviewers said that the products didn’t work for them, whether this was due to their own skin situation or not enjoying the scent of the items. These were fair criticisms, but they in no way signify that Stripes isn’t worth it for some buyers. The negative comments just revealed that the products weren’t for everyone.

It’s important to balance the negative Stripes reviews against the positive ones that praised the products, like this one:

“It glides over my skin and within a minute my skin feels nourished! I love the glow it gives my skin especially when I use both the serum and cream together. I had been looking for something to quench my dryness and add glow, this did the trick! It lasts all day! Naomi Watts knew what she was doing when she made this!”

Is Stripes Worth It?

Stripes Review

Seeing as how there are so few brands that cater to women during menopause, I definitely think that Stripes is worthwhile.
