Overview of Togas

Togas Review

Togas was founded in 1926 in Greece. On their official website, Togas shares that their brand began as a family-owned businessat the center of the textile industry.”

The brand was founded by Ilias Togas, a tailor who gained national recognition for his impeccable work on military uniforms and outerwear.

Togas married Katerina Schik, who was also in the textiles business. Together, they grew their company, the House of Togas, into a small manufacturing and retail empire, opening their own factory and becoming recognized for their embroidery and bespoke tailoring services.

Decades later, the couple’s sons inherited the family business and expanded Togas into bedding and home linens honouring the Art Deco period the brand was founded in – a tradition the company maintains to this day.

While their brand has certainly expanded in the last century, Togas retains their love for their Greek roots, and their respect for the European textile and artistic traditions that started it all!

The brand remains dedicated to their early values of fine craftsmanship, excellent service, and innovation. They are particularly proud of their beautiful designs, which include floral and Deco geometric prints that are often hand-drawn by their designers.

This successful company, run by the founders’ grandson, Kostas Togas, now has a global presence, with manufacturing around the world and offices in Greece, Turkey, the US, Russia, China, the UAE, and more.

Let’s shop through some of Togas’ best-selling products. My Togas review will begin with what the brand is best known for: bed linens!

Togas Bed Linen Set Wilma Review

The Bed Linen Set Wilma is made for those who love an elegant yet impactful floral pattern. This set will make it look like spring is blooming in your room!

This luxe linen set features a print of impressionistic, eye-catching, realistic purple flowers set against a crisp white background.

Togas has made this set especially colorful by making the flat sheet a solid light purple that complements the design of the duvet and pillow cases.

Buy each element of the Bed Linen Set Wilma for the following prices:

  • Queen Duvet Cover: $450
  • Standard Pillowcase: $110
  • Twin Flat Sheet: $215

Togas Pillow Woolmaster Review

According to Togas, this pillow is their firmest one available. Its dense structure is perfect for sleepers who like a more substantial pillow that isn’t too squishy.

The Pillow Woolmaster is named after its main ingredient: wool! This pillow is stuffed with a blend of sheep’s woll and poly balls, which can be removed to decrease the height and density of this pillow if required

Togas explains that they choose wool for its hygienic properties and for its lanolin coating, which helps create and sustain a perfect temperature without getting too hot while you sleep.

In addition to its interior wool and poly ball stuffing, this pillow has an outer shell of cotton/eucalyptus, which allows for easy machine washing.

Buy the Pillow Woolmaster for $190.

Togas Comforter Ilbama Review

If you’d like to invest in a lightweight and luxurious comforter, take a look at the Togas Comforter Ilbama

This comforter is made for the warmer months of the year and is meant to keep you cozy without overheating you as you sleep. The comforter has a soft, white exterior and is ready to be tucked into your favorite duvet cover

This soft and airy comforter is made from Sensotex, a plant-derived material that gives this blanket its light insulation. Togas explains that their Sensotex fabric is made from 100% eucalyptus, a tree grown in Australia, and makes this comforter highly absorbent and silky to the touch.

If you are vegan or do not want to purchase animal products, Sensotex is a great alternative to feather down filling from geese.

Buy the Comforter Ilbama from $726 for a Queen and $880 for a King size.

Togas Kimono Naomi Brown Long Review

This robe offers customers another impressive example of eucalyptus-derived fabrics! The beautiful Kimono Naomi Brown Long is made from 100% eucalyptus fibers and has a silky, elegant drape.

This kimono is a stylish alternative to your usual loungewear. It still has the flowing structure and easy-tie sash belt of a normal robe, but the exquisite stitching and draping of this fabric give this piece a much more romantic flair

This dramatic kimono has a shiny satin look and lengthy, graceful sleeves. It drops all the way to your ankles, curving slightly at the front hem, though it is also available in a shorter version.

This robe is a minky, cool mid-toned brown, an effortless neutral you can wear with anything. It’s also available in ash rose and a pale sea green.

Buy the Kimono Naomi Brown Long for $300 in sizes L or XL

Togas Bathrobe Conolly Review

This cozy bathrobe has a deep chocolate color and a finely detailed collar and cuffs. The Bathrobe Conolly is designed for mature men looking for a practical and comfortable piece for lounging.

This soft bathrobe is made from cotton and rayon, a fiber made from bamboo. It has a plush terry cloth feel that is perfect for after your shower or hopping in and out of the hot tub!

Buy the Bathrobe Conolly in chocolate brown at Togas.com for $300 in size XXL.

Togas Placemat Otto Review

This placemat is tougher than it looks! The Placemat Otto is made to stand up to the heat of your pots and casserole dishes so you can place them right on the table.

This hot pad placemat is made from PVC, a durable synthetic material, and measures 18 by 13 inches.

This hot pad has a nature-inspired, intricately detailed pattern, easily evoking snake skin or tree bark. Its dark brown shade will go well with many dining table color schemes

Buy the Togas Placemat Otto for $35.

Most of their product pages don’t display any public customer reviews, with the exception of the Bathrobe Conolly, which garnered this rave from a customer:

Is Togas Worth It?

Togas Review

Togas has years of experience in the textile industry and it really shows. Their traditional designs have a nostalgic quality to them – their floral patterns and shiny duvet covers have an old-fashioned charm.

Togas understands that bed linens and sleep accessories are very personal choices, and they excel at offering customers a great variety of fabrics to choose from

While they have the typical cotton, wool, and down linens you would expect, Togas also carries materials like silk, Sensotex, bamboo, and kapok. This shows that Togas is keen to connect with a wide customer base and wants to make sure everyone’s preferences are met!

While this company’s products have a generally high price point, Togas does have a dedicated sales section and a free shipping offer with a certain purchase amount, so customers on a budget can keep their eye on the deals as they come along.

As we discovered in our Togas review, most customers are happy with their purchases and report great buying experiences from this company. Shoppers particularly comment on Togas’ fabric quality, detailed design, and helpful customer service

For these reasons our Togas review recommends shopping with this experienced luxury brand!
