About BA&SH

BA&SH Dress Review

If you’re a modern woman, get a load of this: BA&SH Dress is the clothing brand for you, with love from Paris. Featured in Forbes, Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, and The Times (and more), they have established themselves as a trusted source for elegant, chic, feminine apparel.

They are followed by 771k fans on Instagram and 190k on Facebook who adore the collections and just want more, more, more.

This BA&SH dress review will, yes, take a look at some dresses, but also examine other bestsellers, customer reviews, highlights, shipping and return policies, and FAQs. That’s enough small talk, so let’s get right to it.

Overview of BA&SH

BA&SH Dress Review

It all started in 2003. Childhood besties Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief were leading busy corporate lives in the respective worlds of PR and law. That all changed soon enough when they decided to team up to create their own fashion line.

Their mission? To create simple, feminine, fashion-forward clothes. The brand is proudly a female-founded operation that inspires women to express who they are through the fabrics they choose.

BA&SH is also dedicated to sustainability and philanthropy. Initiatives to donate profits to charities like Women for Women International and efforts to reduce their carbon footprint by using only recyclable packaging set BA&SH apart from their competitors.

While sipping their cafés au lait and munching their croissants in the company’s Paris headquarters, BA&SH is always working on new collections and social responsibility.

To welcome you to this BA&SH dress review, here are the highlights of the brand summarized:

BA&SH Dresses Review

The brand sells a variety of BA&SH dresses that are all gorgeous in their own way, but you’ll want to take a look at these stunning numbers to get your fashion sensors familiar with the BA&SH vibe.

BA&SH Ulla Dress Review

The Ulla Dress is a black or red midi dress that is simple in a unique, elegant way. With an elastic waistband at the center of this piece and a V neckline, your cleavage gets the just-right amount of exposure for a look that’s moderate and classy yet intriguing.

The BA&SH robe style is also adorned with ruffles on the shoulders, slightly puffed-out long sleeves, and a twirl-worthy skirt.

Made of 100% viscose, the Ulla Dress goes for $420 regularly but is on sale now for $210

BA&SH Dalid Dress Review

This Dalid Dress is the kind of dress that so many want to be. She’s the it-girl of dresses that dream of being showstoppers.

The flattering, unique floral design is complex but altogether a dream to look at, and gaze at, and admire. The main color of this cotton maxi dress is ochre, giving it a perfectly warm, summery tan.

The bust has an adorable bow decorating it, and in the back, the dress is smocked. Strapless, long, and flowy, the $350 Dallid Dress is on sale for $210 right now.

BA&SH Alma Dress Review

The Alma Dress is that easy, comfy little number you slip on before you take on the day. It has to be a warm day though because this dress is a mini.

Available in off-white, black, or red, this embroidered, fairy-like dress has sleeves that go up to about your elbow and a V-neckline that adds a touch of subtle chic.

The Alma Dress is 100% viscose and 100% yours for $171. Regular price: $285.

BA&SH Jasmine Dress Review

The Jasmine Dress is an art piece to look at. But just to be clear, you can wear it too.

Multi-colored and printed with floral patterns, the button-up mini is a unique BA&SH style that captures their signature mix of classic and modern in a fun and flirty way.

The Jasmine Dress also has short sleeves and an attached tie-up belt that gives you control over how loose or tight you want the dress to be on a given day.

Made of a cotton-viscose blend, this $280 lovely dress is on sale for $196.

BA&SH Vika Dress Review

BA&SH Vika Dress Review

The green or black Vika Dress is a lightweight midi that represents Mother Nature in all her glory. Opt for the green version for a perfect picture of spring or choose black for autumnal accents that really stand out.

Puffy shoulders on the short sleeves give it a cute vintage touch, and the ruffles at the bottom of the skirt add dimension and motion.

The Vika is made of 100% viscose and can be your very own for $235 while it’s on sale or $335 regularly.

BA&SH Paloma Dress Review

Immediately eye-catching because of its side cutouts and unique print, the Paloma Dress belongs in every modern boho queen’s closet. It’s green with a gold-beige floral print that is cultural and chic.

Spaghetti straps and the revealing back with ties make this dress more seductive and beachy even while it still manages to be sophisticated. Choose this dress for when you have a beach party at 4 but a gala at 5.

Our BA&SH dress review found that the wondrous Paloma Dress is priced at $485.

BA&SH Tops Review

If you aren’t a dressy girl, why not try a BA&SH top? You might find yourself intrigued by these bestsellers from the brand’s store.

BA&SH Birkin Shirt Review

The Birkin Shirt is a lacy, embroidered short sleeve that looks perfectly at home on a first date to an apple orchard.

This 100% cotton shirt is soft and lightweight, and the patterned cutouts give you even more breathing room for when you’re wearing this on days as hot as you.

A button-up in white or peche, this top will give your outfit texture. Tip: the peche is more vintage if that’s what you’re going for. On sale now for $117, it usually costs a cool $195.

BA&SH Calas Blouse Review

The Calas Blouse in nude is a soft satin dream. You’ll show off a moderate amount of cleavage in this classy piece in the almost-V-neckline and adorned with ties on each side of the collar.

Made of 69% cupro and 31% viscose, the Calas Blouse goes once, twice, and sold for $245.

BA&SH Figue Top Review

Figue Top is an elegant tank that goes above and beyond the requirements of a tank top whilst still just being a plain old tank top.

Allow us to explain: in either black or off-white, the soft viscose slip-on is rounded at the bottom and has a relaxed, chill fit. It almost looks like any other tank top until you compare it to others and notice the quality in this one.

Even while lightweight and oh-so-simple, BA&SH creates a tank top worth the $125.

…But if you need something to warm you up during the wintertime, check out a BA&SH sweatshirt, because, oh yes, they’ve got those too.

BA&SH Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

BA&SH Dress Review

This BA&SH dress review needs some customer opinions up in here. Now, because there are no reviews on the brand site, let’s investigate reviews on Instagram, TrustPilot, and Bloomingdale’s.

First off, Instagram. Customers were super responsive to the posts and there was certainly no shortage of fire emojis and heart eyes. Although there aren’t many detailed reviews, we know that customers are “obsessed with” the brand and their look.

Customers described, and we quote, “styling bliss.” With all of  BA&SH’s “vibrant” prints, the clothes are “dreamy,” chic, and modern yet vintage at the same time.

One fan proclaimed them to be “My favorite brand!!” but notice how they gave two exclamation points instead of the standard one. That’s enthusiasm.

On TrustPilot, the brand has only 2/5 stars from 21 reviews, but don’t go running to protect your wallet just yet—note that many, if not most, of the reviews are about in-store interactions with customer service, and that isn’t going to tell you anything about online customer service.

And guess what? Reviews about the online store are much more favorable. One customer defended the brand against the host of negative reviews by sharing their experience with returning a product:

Refund was processed within 3 days which I think was very reasonable. So no issues for me with customer service.

Someone else came onto TrustPilot to write out this efficient, straight-to-the-point review:

Quick responses to emails, good designs, polite customer service representatives

Basically, while there weren’t positive reviews on TrustPilot, most were about in-store experiences and not online ordering, and those that were about online ordering didn’t raise any flashing red flags.

Since BA&SH is sold at Bloomingdale’s, to Bloomingdale’s we go. There still aren’t many ratings to be found, but we did find a few for some of the items analyzed in our BA&SH dress review:

  • Alma Dress – 4/5 stars from 9 ratings
  • Vika Dress – 5/5 stars from 5 ratings
  • Dalid Dress – 5/5 stars from 1 rating
  • Birkin Shirt – 5/5 stars from 1 rating
  • Figue Top – 5/5 stars from 1 rating

Customers raved about the Vika Dress especially, saying the “fabric is high quality,” comfy, and not too tight. Looks-wise, the dress is “in-style” and “romantic without being overwhelming on a petite figure.”

Check out this enthused BA&SH dress review of the Vika Dress:

I got this dress in black and I can’t be more in love with it! I value its charming and classic design and versatility. This dress is perfect for work, sunset or cocktail time and also for daytime errands and garden walks. It makes me look slim too!

That’s a whole lot of positive, and the praise only continues with the Alma Dress. One buyer raves:

Totally adorable, light summer dress. Love, love love it. I want to order the red but the color looks a bit off I got the Black and White. A bit see through but not a game changer just wear bike shorts underneath.

So, this buyer found it too transparent but offered a simple solution, problem solved. That’s what we like to see.

The dress was also mostly called a “staple,” “oh so comfy,” good-quality, “easy to wear and dang cute” dress. The fashionistas are digging it, evident in this next and last BA&SH dress review you need to see today:

Love love love. Great length, flirty and oh so comfy. Perfect for summer day with flats or elevate with a chunky heel or wedge sandal.”

All in all, how to summarize the customer reviews of BA&SH?

  1. Overwhelmingly positive reviews
  2. Not many reviews, however
