About Cirque Colors

Cirque Colors Review

Anyone who does their nails can tell you that it takes time, patience, and a steady hand to successfully apply nail polish and not ruin it before it completely dries.

Then you see these influencers putting awesome details on their nails or blending the colors, and you want to do the same, but know that it would just end up a hopeless mess.

Cirque Colors to the rescue. With thick solids, glittery opaques, and multi-chrome colors, there is no need for tons of coats that never dry.

Also, you can dress up the color with one bottle of polish. Covered by fashion media like Cosmopolitan, WWD, WhoWhatWear, and POPSUGAR, Cirque Color is now considered one of the best nail polishes worldwide.

Cirque Colors has over 153K Instagram followers without traditional marketing, and their Esty site has made well over 26k sales.

In this Cirque Colors review, I will take a look at this “indie” brand to see if they are worth your money. I’ll discuss their products, promotions, customer reviews, and more.

Overview of Cirque Colors

Cirque Colors Review

While conducting the research for this Cirque Colors review, I did not find too much information about Annie Pham, the woman behind the brand, except that she worked as a business analyst before becoming the brainchild behind these unique nail polishes.

Pham enjoyed nail polishes but was bored with what the large, established companies offered.

She designed and handcrafted a new line of polishes to give consumers more colorful, sustainable choices for their nails.

Launching in 2012 in Brooklyn, New York, Cirque Colors’ nail polishes are all vegan, non-toxic, and cruelty-free, as well as being suited for every skin tone.

Cirque is the French word for circle or ring, which Pham uses to represent the color palette. You can mix together different hues to create all-new and exciting colors.

But these hues aren’t just an alternative to basic, conservative colors. They can be shimmering, multi-hued, glittery, or even change with the temperature.

Primarily selling through online sources like Etsy, Cirque Colors is now in online stores globally and all across the US.

They are presently considered one of the world’s best nail polish companies. To give back, Cirque Colors offer limited-time colors from which all net proceeds go to charity.

Before I get into their products, let’s look at some of the things that make this colorful company special.

Cirque Colors Review

Cirque Colors nail polishes are unique in color and properties with several types of polishes, including thermal, holographic, shimmer, multi-chrome, and jelly. Some go on in multiple colors, some change with temperature, and others add detail with glitter and sparkle.

In this portion of my Cirque Colors review, I’ll check out a few of this progressive brand’s bestselling polishes.

Cirque Colors Holographic Glitter XX Review

The Cirque Colors Holographic Glitter XX is an explosion of sparkle of different shapes and colors with multiple different glitter colors mixed into one bottle.

Set in clear polish, this color alone adds a subtle touch of bling to your hands. Put it on top of a dark hue, and you get a dramatic contrast of dark background and bright sparkles.

This glittery color with hexagons, diamonds, and other such shapes, goes with any outfit as an accessory to add a glint to your look. The best thing about it is that it makes you look like you spent hours placing glitter instead of quickly applying one coat of polish.

You can get your sparkle on and wow them for $13.

Cirque Colors Velvetine Review

You can find solid slate blue color polishes at any high-end nail polish company, but comparing those to Cirque Colors’ is like comparing a cloudy day to a sunny one.

Velvetine is from their shimmer polishes line, with plenty of depth and a copper shimmer to contrast the pale blue color.

Velvetine also uses tiny holographic glitter that catches the light for a slight twinkle instead of an all-out glint like the Holographic Glitter XX.

Let your nails do the winking for you for $14.

Cirque Colors Cool Blast Review

A solid blue/purple coat is infused with spackled iridescence in the Cirque Colors Cool Blast. The glimmering hues change color into silvers, purples, oranges, pinks, and reds depending on how the light catches it, giving the color a sense of movement.

The effect is reminiscent of the Northern Lights, so Cold Blast seems appropriate to this Cirque Colors review.

Cool Blast is one of Cirque Colors’ jelly nail polish lines of transparent colors, so it takes a couple of coats to get the periwinkle color truly opaque. Show them your cool side for $14.

Cirque Colors Memento Mori Review

Anyone who has tried applying black nail polish knows it isn’t as easy as it seems, taking numerous coats and plenty of drying time between applications.

It’s time-consuming and often ends up with at least a couple of spots where you accidentally touched something, ruining the sleek look you were going for.

Whether you wear it alone or use it as an undercoat for a glitter polish, Cirque Colors Memento Mori is a creme polish that can give you a sleek, deep black finish in as little as one coat.

It was named “Best Black Polish” by influencer Simply Nailogical. Be back in black for $13.

Who Is Cirque Colors For?

Cirque Colors Review

It is the opinion of this Cirque Colors review author that these polishes are for anyone looking for something different from the standard colors offered by the big name brands.

Whether a professional or just someone who enjoys colorful nails, Cirque Colors nail polishes are ideal for you.

Cirque Colors are also non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free, which is something that anyone can get behind. Looking good never felt so good.

Cirque Colors Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Cirque Colors Review

It’s time now to take a look at what the Cirque Colors reviews from the brand’s customers say. First up, check out these rankings on the polishes that I discussed in this article.

  • Cirque Colors Holographic Glitter XX: 5/5 stars out of 49 reviews
  • Cirque Colors Velvetine: 5/5 stars out of 35 reviews
  • Cirque Colors Cool Blast: 5/5 stars out of 32 reviews
  • Cirque Colors Memento Mori: 5/5 stars out of 73 reviews

There is a reason that the Memento Mori is one of the brand’s most popular colors and is rated as the “Best Black Polish.

It got 4.5/5 stars out of 5 reviews on Beautylish. This customer not only loved the color but that these polishes are vegan and non-toxic, saying, Truly a one coat black. Love that they have clean ingredients – will be purchasing more colors soon! Highly recommended.”

The ingredients aren’t the only thing Cirque Colors pays attention to for greater sustainability; their shipping also uses minimal and recyclable packaging, all while providing a superior product.

Their Etsy page averages 5/5 stars out of 5,874 reviews. Check out what this one for the Cool Blast polish says, for example:

“High-quality: the iridescent polish has a smooth texture and hasn’t chipped all day (my nails normally take lots of damage, so this is strong polish!), and I loved that they used an eco-conscious paper-based shipper instead of a plastic bubble shipper. I’ll be ordering again!!.”

It seems a running theme that their customers plan on returning to Cirque Colors for more polishes, whether to check out more colors or keep getting one they fell in love with.

On Amazon, this customer explains why: “This is my third Cirque Colors purchase, purchased this color twice and another one.”

They go on to elaborate and I just had to include the highlights:

“All of them are amazing but this is my personal favorite. I do a lot of work with my hands… HOWEVER; This color on my nails lasts for so long without even needing a topcoat! It’s beautiful and I love it. Can’t recommend it/Cirque Colors enough.”

On the brand’s website, this review of the Holographic Glitter XX demonstrates how much fun Cirque Colors really are. But this customer also issues a warning of a downside to this sparkly polish:

This one is a party in a bottle! I think it can probably be seen from outer space! Paints on nicely and dries quickly and surprisingly smooth! The only downside is it’s hard to get anything done with gorgeous, sparkly nails to stare at! Haven’t come across another topper that tops it!”

Cirque Colors offer so many different types of polishes. One not mentioned in this Cirque Colors review, but worth a note, is the thermals. These change color as you or the ambient temperature changes, similar to a mood ring.

Like the previous Cirque Colors review, this customer also finds the company’s polishes fun, which is really the point of this exciting brand.

They are about celebrating you and helping you create nails that you love, even if you’re not a professional: “Thermals are so fun, you basically get three manicures in one, and Cirque Colors has so many good ones to choose from! “

“Enchanted in particular is such a pretty purple, with three tones instead of just two (there is a shade that shows up between the darkest and lightest one). It is more of a jelly finish, so you will need 2-3 coats to reach full opacity, however, the formula is great and dries fairly quickly. I also feel like the jelly formula makes it look more elegant and beautiful.”

As you can see below, there are practically no bad reviews about Cirque Colors. No complaints on the Better Business Bureau and nothing on Trustpilot. Just a lot of happy customers.

Is Cirque Colors Legit?

Cirque Colors Review

With all the research done for this Cirque Colors review, I can safely say that I didn’t find any red flags about this brand. They aim for sustainability and still pull off a superior product.

Is Cirque Colors Worth It?

Okay, down to the whole point of this review, is Cirque Colors worth it? Without a doubt, yes. To start, their price point isn’t any higher than most high-end polishes, but they offer so more in each bottle.

Not using toxic chemicals or animal byproducts and not testing on animals are things that most people may not consider but are happy to find out about their polish choices.

These polishes are truly unique and, therefore, can’t be found anywhere else. They allow even the most uncoordinated of us to create eye-catching, stunning nails that make us feel good and look fantastic.

Customers mentioned accidentally touching drying nails and the polish sliding over and smoothing the imperfection. Does it get any better than that?

Based on all the customer reviews, there is no reason not to love these nail polishes and Cirque Colors brand. Everyone else does.
