About Erin Condren
Erin Condren creates personalized, customizable paper products for lifestyle and organization. The brand specializes in planners and journals, and their customers are mostly teachers, students, and lifestyle bloggers.
Erin Condren’s LifePlanner was featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and many more media outlets. This Erin Condren planner review will guide you through the brand, its products, and more, to help you decide if their products are right for you.
Overview of Erin Condren
The brand began as an at-home print shop run by Erin Condren back in 2001. She previously worked in the apparel industry, and went from 12-hour work days to being a stay-at-home mom of twins. She started out by selling holiday and birthday cards to friends. In 2004, Erin sold cards at a friend’s “shopping party,” and word soon spread of her business.
Erin Condren was officially founded a year later in 2005. Erin and her planners were featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show’s 12 Days of Giveaways, which helped launch Erin Condren into the mainstream of lifestyle products. Erin Condren’s signature product, the LifePlanner, launched in 2007, which cemented its place in the industry.
The company is based in Austin, TX, with retail locations in Virginia and California. Erin Condren’s collection is designed and assembled exclusively in the USA. The items featured in this Erin Condren planner review are highly recommended bestsellers—so if you’re a procrastinator or disorganized to the point of being chaotic, we’re only showcasing the best of Erin Condren.
The Erin Condren website offers a Planning Personality Quiz to help you figure out which products would best suit your lifestyle. Rather than scrolling through the huge catalogue, the quick quiz provides recommendations. Customers can also shop notebooks, journals, address books, planner accessories, stickers, stationery, wall organization boards, and more.

If you’re reading this Erin Condren planner review, it’s safe to assume that you want to get organized, or want to help someone else get their life straightened out. That’s easier said than done—would a weekly life planner do the job, one that breaks down the day to day, or plans out the whole month?
If you’re a student or a teacher, there are also the academic and lesson planners to consider. We’ll get into Erin Condren’s most popular planners to help make that decision easier.
Erin Condren LifePlanner Review
The LifePlanner is the most famous product in the Erin Condren lineup. It’s a weekly planner featuring a 2-page weekly calendar view. For visual people/learners, this kind of display can be really helpful. All the planners in this line are 7″ x 9″ spiral books—that’s basically the midway size between a regular notebook and a notepad, so it can easily be tucked into a backpack or purse.
The planner contains thick, high quality paper produced by a US-based company, Mohawk Fine Papers. Adding a few lines of text such as your name is free, and you can select the cover page color scheme on certain designs. The new Layers design is one of my favourites, it’s simply mesmerising.
The Erin Condren LifePlanner ranges from $55-$60, and changing the coil color is an additional $10. It comes with a 4-page Erin Condren Sticker Book coiled in for even more customization. The planner also contains inspirational quotes sprinkled throughout to keep you motivated. Calendar options for this Erin Condren planner include 12 months and 18 months.
Erin Condren Daily LifePlanner Review
If hourly planning is more your thing, the Erin Condren Daily LifePlanner Duo is a bundle of two 7″ x 9″ spiral-bound 6-month planners (hence the “duo”). It comes with the same 4 pages of sticker sheets coiled in. The planner duo includes a complimentary interchangeable cover, and a personalized cover of your choice. Check out that banana leaf design! Stunning.
The base price range for the Erin Condren Daily Planner is $68-$73. Whether you’re keeping track of meetings, study sessions, workouts, or university classes, this is a great option if you want to stay motivated and on track every day of the year, hour by hour.
Erin Condren Monthly Planner Review
So, we’ve moved on from the life planner and the daily planner to the Erin Condren Monthly Planner. This one comes in 2 sizes (7″ x 9″, 8.5″ x 11″) and you can choose your start month. No more generic planners that always start in January, even if you’re buying in July. You can also add 40 or 80 note pages, great for those of us with the writing bug.
The layout for the Monthly Planner is simple, and the calendar is spread over 2 pages. As you can see, the included stickers are being put to good use here. These planners range from $40-$45. For people who like to organize big-picture style, this is an excellent choice.
Erin Condren Teacher Lesson Planner Review
If teachers want to keep their students organized, they have to practice what they preach. The amount of covers containing quotes in the Teacher Lesson Planner collection is high—that style may not be what you’re looking for, but if you love inspirational sayings, there are plenty to choose from. I liked Make Magic Happen Every Day:
The Erin Condren Teacher Lesson Planner is feature-rich, with a yearly overview, monthly calendars, weekly lesson planning spreads, checklist pages, performance trackers, and more to keep themselves on track during the school year. You can choose your preferred format, with options including a 8.5″ x 11″ coiled book or flat, soft bound book, as well as a regular-sized binder.
The Erin Condren Teacher Lesson Planner ranges from $35-$60. This planner is highly recommended by teachers all over the internet, mostly because of the sheer amount of organizational options. These Erin Condren lesson planners also come in Spanish, catering to the Spanish-speaking population in the US, as well as Spanish language teachers.
Erin Condren Academic Planner Review
Another bestseller, the Academic Planner scores major points because of its dedicated pages for tracking classes, projects, and exams. On top of that, the calendar is undated, so you can start using it at any point in the year. Writing this is definitely making me wish I had spent more time looking for cute planners instead of just using a basic digital calendar during school.
As you can see, it’s very clear, organized and… just pretty. Like many products in this Erin Condren planner review, they come in both coiled (7″ x 9″) and softbound (5.8″ x 8.3″) styles, and have a large design selection. Prices range for the Academic Planner range from $30-$42.
Erin Condren Planner Binder Review
For anyone who doesn’t like bound books, there’s always the Erin Condren Planner Binder. These 8-ring binders come with an 18 month calendar and a dynamic planning system that allows you to organize by the day, month, or year. I love how these binders look so fancy:
You can remove, rearrange, and add pages as needed, customizing according to your schedule and style. The binders are all 8.57″ x 10″ x 1.75″ with pages that are 7” x 9”. The Erin Condren Planner Binder runs from $40-$55.
Erin Condren Planner Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Overall, the reviews of Erin Condren products are pretty good. There is no review system on their site, unfortunately, but most of their products on Amazon have a 5-star rating. The ratings on Staples are also mostly positive! The negative ratings were mostly about bad customer service experiences when ordering from the site, and I spotted a 3-star rating which simply said, Overpriced but good quality. So… I guess they liked it?
Erin Condren has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, and a 1-star customer rating…the reviews on the BBB mostly took issue with customer service. This Erin Condren planner review concludes that their products are very well-loved, but the customer service experience might not be the best, if you happen to be one of the few who run into an issue.
Is Erin Condren Worth It?
Even as someone who only recently got into tracking my schedule, Erin Condren products are super appealing. It has been quite a journey researching products for this Erin Condren planner review! Their stunning visuals, and sheer amount of organizational options help justify the higher price point. You’re paying for quality, aesthetics, and the fact that they’re made in the USA. All Erin Condren planners come with similar add-ons and accessories, so the choice is really which one suits your lifestyle best.
Their customers are very loyal, with many saying they’ve been buying from Erin for years… and if multiple people claim loyalty to a “paper product” company, it must be something special.

I haven’t received my planner yet which has a start date of September. See my problem. The economy service is just that. Don’t expect to see your planner for weeks. After reading these reviews I am sure the quality also stinks. Won’t be buying from them again. Should have gone with my first instinct and that was Franklin Covey. I have purchased their products and like the quality.
