About Jabra

Jabra Review

Most audiophiles recognize the name Jabra. The Danish company has become a pillar in audio technology since their inception forty years ago.

While their headphones and speakers have devout fans, this Jabra Enhance review is not for them. Instead, it’ll look at the brand’s developments in hearing aids.

This may seem like a drastic shift in Jabra’s trajectory if you’re not in the know, but the proof is in the proverbial pudding. Direct-to-consumer hearing aids have been rising in popularity over the past decade because standard hearing aids are as expensive as my monthly rent payments.

Additionally, Jabra’s owners GN Audio are one of only a handful of hearing aid producers that serve a global market.

In my Jabra Enhance review, you’ll learn about the differences between their hearing aids, what their prices are like, what customers say about them, and more.

5 Best Selling Jabra Products

Jabra Enhance Plus Review

The Jabra Enhance Plus is a set of sleek in-ear pieces that use modern technology to improve your hearing. They can reduce ambient background noise while cleaning up the sounds you want to hear.

Each earbud uses four tiny microphones to amplify conversations. They can swap between everyday hearing mode, music mode, and phone call mode at the drop of a hat, making them a great option for all walks of life.

Additionally, the Jabra Enhance Plus has a few other perks. They’re discrete-looking. In fact, they appear more like regular earbuds rather than hearing aids. They’re also waterproof which keeps them handy during the rain. Their battery should last up to 12 hours outside of the case and 35 hours with the case.

You can grab a pair for $799.

Customers say: “This product works very well for me. The fit is great, as is the streaming. The relative simplicity of earbud construction compared to traditional hearing aids is also wonderful. If you don’t have a severe impairment, this could be a terrific option.

Jabra Enhance Pro 10 Review

The next product in my Jabra Enhance review is a conventional receiver in-ear hearing aid. While it can connect to your phone to play music, the Jabra Enhance Pro 10 prioritizes adaptive hearing.

It takes in the sounds from all directions but prioritizes the frequencies conversations stay in. Jabra also invested heavily into this product’s design and feel in your ear for optimal comfort.

These hearing aids also have IP68-waterproofing so you can wear them outside during turgid weather. One pair costs $1,700 from Costco.

Jabra Enhance Select 50 Review

The Jabra Enhance Select 50 offers a leveled-up hearing experience. They’re a customizable option that uses test answers you’ve provided to Jabra. Those answers inform how the Jabra Enhance Select 50 will work for you, whether your hearing difficulties crop up in noisy rooms or when watching television.

Oh, and you’ll be able to connect with Jabra’s hearing specialist through video calls to discuss your products and how you can optimize them. You can implement these changes through the Jabra mobile app. The app personalizes the Jabra Enhance Select 50 to your ideal settings.

A pair of these Jabra Enhance hearing aids costs $1,195

Customers say: “I am now capturing the parts of a conversation that give it meaning, allowing me to make what they call in the legal field a knowing and intelligent response, and obviously get the interpretation as exact as possible. It’s kind of funny how picky lawyers and judges are about words!”

Jabra Enhance Select 100 Review

Consider the Jabra Enhance Select 100 to be a better iteration of the last item in this Jabra Enhance review. They provide many of the same benefits with a few new ones, including the following:

  1. 116dB input dynamic range to capture sound when on the move
  2. A robust sound product from a 9.5kHz frequency
  3. A charging case that provides three charges (each full charge provides 30 hours of battery life)

As you’d expect, the Jabra Enhance Select 100 are a bit pricier. A pair costs $1,595.

Customers say:I have had the Jabra Enhance hearing aids for about a month now, they are high quality, rechargeable and the app makes it very easy to adjust them to whatever environment I am in and the price was right also, I am a very happy customer

Jabra Enhance Select 200 Review

The final option in my Jabra Enhance review is also the most feature-dense. The Jabra Enhance Select 200 boasts hands-free calling compatibility with Apple devices. It also has more customization options in the app, allowing you to tinker and make your world sound exactly how you want it to.

Finally, it includes the same charging case and remote care plans as the Jabra Enhance Select 100. These hearing aids cost $1,995.

Does Jabra Enhance Work?

The function of Jabra Enhance products is to perform multi-functionally as a hearing aid, a music streaming device, and to answer calls. On that front, they work, though I’ll turn to customer insight in a bit to gather firsthand experience.

Who would I recommend Jabra Enhance to?

I’d recommend Jabra Enhance to customers with mild to moderate hearing loss. While these devices are FDA-approved, they’re designed for mass consumers, meaning that they don’t target those with severe hearing loss.

Who I wouldn’t recommend Jabra Enhance to?

This will be a huge disappointment for some people reading this Jabra Enhance review, but some buds, like the Jabra Enhance Plus, are not compatible with Android devices. Currently, they’re only for Apple devices.

Alternatives To Jabra Enhance

You may not be swooned by what you’ve read about Jabra Enhance, and if that’s the case then check out these alternative brands.

  • HueHearing: nearly invisible, simple, and affordable hearing aids
  • Audien Hearing Aids: US-developed hearing aids that cost less than $100
  • Loop Earplugs: visually-exciting earplugs that reduce up to 27dB of noise

What Do Experts Think?

There hasn’t been any scientific literature surrounding any items in this Jabra Enhance review, so I can’t point to any expert opinions. Instead, it’s better to look at what real customers have said about Jabra.

Jabra Enhance Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Jabra Review

Let’s take a gander at the scores customers gave Jabra’s Enhance hearing aids on various consumer websites as of 27/04/23.

  • Trust Pilot: 3.6/5 stars based on more than 1,500 pieces of customer feedback
  • Better Business Bureau: 3.6/5 stars based on more than 15 pieces of customer feedback
  • Amazon: 3.5/5 stars based on more than 70 pieces of customer feedback on the Jabra Enhance Plus Self-Fitting OTC Rechargeable Hearing Aids

The three main takeaways from all those customer reviews were that the hearing aids fit well, they were easy to use, and the sound quality was phenomenal.

As one customer put it, “Especially easy if you like tech. The look is great and the sound quality is very good. If you can use an iPhone (and it must be an iPhone) you are all set. Very happy with the results.

Some Jabra Enhance reviews noted the hearing aids remedied their tinnitus and other issues. How much of this is correlation versus causation is up for debate, but it appeared enough that I had to mention it.

I could not be happier with my choice.I can hear things so much clearer now it blows me away. The whole process is easy and straightforward. The customer service is unbelievable! Always there for you. On top of hearing better I have noticed my tinnitus is slightly better. Added bonus! They just flat out work well!” wrote one customer.

While the lion’s share of Jabra Enhance reviews was positive, there were some critiques that, interestingly, centered on the music-playing capabilities.

Some buyers said they didn’t possess great audio quality when listening to music, which is interesting considering how well-regarded their audio-enhancing technology was.

In any case, this was a minor complaint in light of most customer testimonials. The majority of them read closer to this buyer’s review:

I LOVE these hearing aids!!! In the last year I have purchased 5 other types of earbuds or low cost hearing aids, over the internet, and NONE are equal to the Jabra Enhance Plus. I even changed from being a 32 year android user to an iphone user just to wear these hearing aids. I was not happy about having to change but glad I did!

Is Jabra Legit?

I’m happy to report that Jabra–and their Enhance hearing aids– are legit. It may be easy to dismiss them as a cash grab at first glance, but they’re as real as polar bears and komodo dragons.

Is Jabra Worth It?
