Its complete digestive enzyme blend consists of amylase, lactase, protease, lipase, and cellulase.

Each serving of two scoops of KOS Protein Powder gives your body 160 calories, 6g of total fat, 9g of carbs, 3g of dietary fiber, 2g of sugar (includes the added sugars), and 20g of protein.

Some of the other micronutrients in this blend are:

  • Sodium: 330mg
  • Iron: 5mg
  • Vitamin E: 6.6mg
  • Vitamin B2: 0.5mg
  • Folate: 20mcg
  • Iodine: 30mcg

Benefits

Thanks to its complete formula, KOS Organic Plant Based Protein Powder can be considered a protein, multivitamin mineral, and meal-replacement shake.

One serving of the powder will energize you for the day with a nice blend of essential amino acids, the building blocks of protein.

It’s also packed with many good minerals such as chromium[1] and inulin[2] to balance your blood sugar levels. So you won’t experience a sugar crash after a few hours of drinking your shake.

Chromium picolinate[3], specifically, has also been shown to help reduce the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

The B vitamins present in KOS Protein are niacinamide (a form of B3), cyanocobalamin (B12), riboflavin (B2), and folic acid (B9). These are all in charge of impacting your mental health and metabolism, or converting your food into energy, improving skin health, and boosting brain function.

Minerals such as calcium, zinc, and potassium make KOS protein an all-in-one option if you are not getting enough of those nutrients through your daily diet. These minerals help keep your body alkalized[4] while supporting your immunity and maintaining healthy bones, muscles, blood vessels, and nerves.

How Does It Work

The other noteworthy benefit of KOS plant-based protein is that despite the other animal-sourced protein supplements on the market, it comes with the right enzymes to help you break down and utilize fats, proteins, and carbs.

Amylase is in charge of breaking down carbs or starches. Lipase helps your liver break down fats, and protease breaks down proteins into amino acids. This enzyme also helps keep toxicity away and out of your intestines.

In addition to the enzymes, 3g of dietary fiber in the blend reduces bloating or risks of constipation. I found that the presence of DigeSEB enzymes in this formula is a huge plus because while nourishing your body with nutrients, it keeps your gut and liver happy and healthy as well.

If you are vegan and taking KOS protein, you don’t have to worry about missing any important nutrients[5] in your diet, such as B12[6], iron[7], or omega-3[8] that most vegans are concerned about.

The flax[9] and chia seeds in KOS protein powder provide you with vegan sources of omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants to help your body fight inflammation and prevent disease.

How to Take & Dosage

KOS recommends mixing one serving (two scoops) of the plant protein powder in a large glass of the beverage of your choice, or using it in baking recipes just like flour.

If you are skipping a meal to cut some calories, you can use this protein powder as a meal-replacement drink up to two times a day.

Each 120 capsule bottle of KOS Matcha Tea has 40 servings. Your three daily matcha capsules are filled with numerous healing benefits from tea leaves which this KOS Matcha Tea review will get into in a bit.

Nutritional Value

Each serving of KOS Matcha Green Tea contains 1,500mg of organic matcha tea leaf and pullulan to make the vegetarian capsules.

Benefits

Even though green tea has been used in eastern cultures for hundreds of years for its amazing therapeutic benefits, it has recently become popular in the West.

Matcha[10] is a kind of green tea that has been finely powdered into a beautiful and vibrant green substance. It is high in antioxidants to help your body fight free radicals and chronic diseases.

L-theanine[11] is another compound found in matcha tea known for modifying the effects of the caffeine content in tea. It is an amino acid that eases insomnia, anxiety, and stress.

If you are a regular coffee drinker, you might have experienced that energy crash after caffeine wears off. Studies have shown that L-theanine in matcha tea promotes good mood and alertness[12] while reducing stress levels[13].

How Does It Work

Besides matcha’s wonderful cognitive function boosting properties, several studies[14] have concluded that matcha tea can reduce levels of total and LDL cholesterol as well as triglycerides in your body.

That’s good news because just three KOS Matcha Tea capsules a day can be such a beneficial addition to your routine if you are looking to maintain a healthy heart

One last positive point about matcha that we should add here is its role in fat burning[15] and boosting your metabolism. So if you are thinking of shedding a couple of extra pounds or maintaining your weight[16], KOS Matcha capsules, along with a clean diet and exercise, can help you make this goal come true.

How to Take & Dosage

You should take three Matcha Green Tea capsules daily.

As for the proprietary blends, KOS Greens Powder contains 250mg of the Algae Superfood Blend, 4g of the Alkalizing Greens Blend, 3.25g of the Fruits and Veggie Blend, and 2g of the Digestive Prebiotic Blend.

Benefits

KOS Green Powder is a supplement you should keep in your cupboard if you need a daily detoxifier that gives you enough of the most important micronutrients. The protein content of this blend is very low.

If you eat a moderately clean diet but have trouble getting enough fruits and veggies, or if your diet lacks enough fiber, these daily greens can support you thanks to its chlorophyll-packed fibrous greens.

Loads of chlorophyll is found in this supplement. This pigment gives plants and algae their green color and is essential for balanced PH levels. It can also help you maintain a healthy weight and improve your gut health while fueling your friendly intestinal bacteria.

Ingredients such as wheatgrass juice powder, kale, and oat grass play a significant role in giving you high levels of antioxidants[17] and anti-inflammatory compounds to help boost your immune system and assist your liver with detoxification[18].

Lemon extract, green pepper, and broccoli are rich sources of vitamin C, a potent antioxidant in charge of healthy-looking skin[19], strong immunity[20], and more.

How Does It Work

KOS Daily Greens takes only one minute to make, but it has so much to offer. The organic greens blend is formulated in an NSF-certified facility with all your digestive and immunity needs in mind.

A full spectrum of vitamins and minerals sourced from whole foods without artificial ingredients is a refreshing and natural way to target your overall health from different angles.

All ingredients in KOS green powder are powerhouses of nutrients, thoughtfully selected to nourish and strengthen your body against harmful toxins.

How to Take & Dosage

To enjoy the wonderful benefits of this green powder, blend one scoop in a glass of your favorite beverage or a smoothie and take on an empty stomach in the morning. This will help replenish lost minerals and alkalize your body.

Who Is KOS For?

KOS Review

KOS protein powders and daily nutritional blends are perfect for anyone who wants to eat a balanced diet that covers their macro and micronutrient needs.

If you are looking for a meal replacement supplement to start your day, drinking KOS plant-based protein will give you energy. You can also add this product to your busy daily routine if you are searching for a protein powder that supports weight loss as well.

Matcha tea capsules are great if you want a natural remedy to give your nervous system some love and reduce your stress levels.

Since eating enough greens regularly benefits anyone who wants a healthy gut microbiome, the KOS tasty greens powder is the most convenient option for those wanting to start adding greens to their families’ diets.

KOS Side Effects

KOS Review

While I reviewed these three products, I looked to find potential KOS side effects to warn you about, and I didn’t see any severe issues linked to their products.

However, it’s important to remember that you can never out-supplement a bad diet or lifestyle. Adding a greens powder or an all-in-one shake into your diet without changing your current routine isn’t the way to achieve optimal gut health, immunity, weight loss, or glowing skin.

As mentioned on their help page, if you are on medication or have a severe health condition, talk to your doctor before adding any KOS products into your regime.

Another Daily Greens fan wrote: “It has organic all natural ingredients which is super important to me.  The flavor is great also!  Definitely affordable.  I will definitely be purchasing this product again in the future.  I find it hard to eat enough green food that I like so this helps me get in tasty greens everyday.”

Is KOS Legit?

KOS Review

In terms of shipping and customer service, KOS help center seems to have the answers to most common questions. I’m unsure how responsive they are when it comes to problem-solving, but as far as this KOS review goes, I didn’t find any complaints or low ratings related to customer service.

Based on what I found, the brand runs all their products through extensive testing for a full spectrum of contaminants such as heavy metals and bacteria while following current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure they meet the proper standards of purity.

What’s more, most ingredients in KOS products are certified organic, meaning they’re free from pesticides, artificial colors, and hormones. Not only did I not find any red flags about this brand, but for anyone concerned about the packaging of the supplements, it is reassuring to know that KOS avoids using BPA.

Is KOS Worth It?

KOS Review

Nearing the end of this KOS review, you may be wondering: is this brand worth buying from? It sure is. First of all, KOS products are reasonably priced, and according to customers, they taste better than the average products on the market.

Plus, KOS ingredients are all organic and free from common allergens making the products a great option for people with food sensitivities. They provide research that backs up the potency and efficacy of each ingredient.

Another big plus is that no fillers, artificial ingredients, GMOs, or additives have been used in KOS products. So you’re always getting the best of the best while helping KOS on its mission to give back by preventing food insecurity and feeding America’s chronically hungry.
