About Pure Electric

Pure Electric Review

Pure Electric is a UK-based electric scooter brand that has earned accolades from the likes of TechRadar and T3. These aren’t your grandpa’s electric scooters. They’re sleek, powerful, and cool.

It’s no wonder the brand boasts more than 26k Instagram followers and enthusiastic customer reviews. Don’t be surprised next time you see a few of these zooming down your street.

In my Pure Electric review, I will give you the most important information about the brand, its products, and what customers like about them so that you can decide whether or not they’re right for you. But first, let’s find out how this brand got its start.

Adam Norris founded Pure Electric as a way of answering one of the most pressing problems of our modern age: how do we reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining our autonomy when it comes to transportation?

So Norris created a line of high-powered, long-lasting, and portable scooters. This way, you won’t have to sacrifice your environmental concerns just so you can get to work or school on time.

Pure Electric also offers a price match program where they monitor their competitor’s prices to ensure that they are always offering the cheapest value. If you find a price from one of their competitors that’s less expensive than the one on Pure Electric, then they’ll match that lower price.

Next up in my Pure Electric review will be a quick rundown of the brand’s highlights.

The Pure Electric Pure Air Pro Electric Scooter 2nd Gen is built for distance and power. It can travel up to 50km on a single charge while working with three different speeds and a maximum output of 700W. You can pick it up for £599.

As one buyer wrote: “This is an excellent machine for this generation as there is a chance to control global warming coming towards its performance it’s an amazing product with 500W motor which is super fast and a quick pick up, the body is too tough which can easily bare 103kg, of course, the capacity is till 120kg but after all its a personal review as I’m 103kg.”

Pure Electric Pure Air Go Electric Scooter 2nd Gen

The next scooter is the brand’s economy-class machine. The Pure Electric Pure Air Go Electric Scooter 2nd Gen can travel up to 20km before its battery needs to recharge, boasts 10” wheels, and can support up to 120kg. It costs £349.

One Pure Electric review writer said: “Needed an electric scooter to get to work. This one drives the speed I need and the battery range is enough for me to get back and forth.”

Pure Electric Pure Flux One Electric Hybrid Bike

For those that want to keep riding bikes but need a bit of a kick in the speed department, the Pure Electric Pure Flux One Electric Hybrid Bike is for you. Its Gates Carbon Drive motor is inconspicuous yet mighty. The bike also has a portable charging system so you can refuel whenever you need to.

The Pure Electric Pure Flux One Electric Hybrid Bike costs £1,099. One user said: “My first week of using my pure Flux one. I purchased this bike to commute to work as fuel prices are getting stupid and saw this at a really good price. And it’s a joy to ride easy to use and can charge at work love it wish I had done this years ago looks really good build wise solid.”

Pure Electric Pure Free City Unisex Electric Hybrid Bike

On the other hand, if you want a more relaxing ride, then the Pure Electric Pure Free City Unisex Electric Hybrid Bike should be right up your alley. It can conquer up to 45km on a single charge and has a mighty 250W rear motor.

Additionally, it has plenty of accessories to make your travels more comfortable, including:

  1. Panier rack
  2. Mudguards
  3. Integrated Lights
  4. Kickstand

“Really pleased with my bike, first time I have used an electric bike, and I was not disappointed, makes cycling so much more pleasurable! Easy to use, very effective on hills, and sturdy construction! Excellent job Pure Electric!” wrote one buyer.

Pure Electric Electric Scooter Handlebar Storage Bag

Riding is just as much about style as it is about transportation, as the Pure Electric Electric Scooter Handlebar Storage Bag shows. This bag is 32cm x 17 cm x 13cm and fits all Pure Electric scooters. If you’re looking for a place to store your stuff on the go, you can grab one for £15.

One customer said: “Very spacious can load a lot inside…fantastic.”

Pure Electric Dashel ReCycle Helmet

The final item is easily the most necessary one in my Pure Electric review, at least in terms of safety.

The Pure Electric Dashel ReCycle Helmet can adjust to your exact head shape while providing your eyes cover from rain and sunshine so you can stay focused when you ride. It is currently on sale for £56 which is its sales price. Normally, it costs £79.

One customer praised this helmet: “Exceptional quality so comfy and light you don’t know you’re wearing it.”

Pure Electric Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

To give you an idea of what customers think about Pure Electric, I gathered the average customer scores for my featured products. All of these scores come from the brand’s website.

  • Pure Free City Unisex Electric Hybrid Bike: 4.6/5 stars, 28 reviews
  • Dashel ReCycle Helmet: 4.6/5 stars, 11 reviews
  • Electric Scooter Handlebar Storage Bag: 4.5/5 stars, 37 reviews
  • Pure Air Pro Electric Scooter 2nd Gen: 4.2/5 stars, 225 reviews
  • Pure Flux One Electric Hybrid Bike: 4.2/5 stars, 145 reviews
  • Pure Air Go Electric Scooter 2nd Gen: 4/5 stars, 339 reviews

Meanwhile, here are some scores from a few other sources of customer feedback.

  • Trustpilot: 4.1/5 stars from 12.9k reviews
  • Facebook: 2.8/5 stars from 136 reviews

Overall, Pure Electric reviews were pretty positive, praising the ease of use and performance of the brand’s small vehicles. As one customer wrote:

“Love the scooter it is well designed with an excellent finish and rides well. I am not sure about the distance they say it can cover but everything else is as per the manual I am not disappointed with my purchase and have recommended it to a friend who also bought one.”

Another buyer said: “Saw the deals over the Black Friday weekend and was too good to ignore, so I purchased my own. Absolutely love it, great performance and reliability. Got the Pro version and love it. Pure is so helpful with everything.”

Now for the bad. There were two main complaints I read in some Pure Electric reviews. One was concerning the advertised battery life of the scooters while the other complained about the brand’s customer service. In both cases, shoppers said that improvements could be made.

That being said, I found very few of these complaints. Most people who wrote Pure Electric reviews said that products were worth their price tag, including this buyer:

“Great product, really impressed with the quality and performance. Yes, there is cheaper out there but the old adage that you get what you pay for is definitely true in this case. Arrived the day after the order as promised and kept us informed all the way with tracking updates. If you’re thinking of buying a scooter stop thinking do it and get this one. P.S. great fun and practical.”
