However, there are a few crucial details my RedBox Rx review cannot exclude. The company says they circumvent the struggle to find a practice that accepts your insurance. While this is true, they can do it by not accepting insurance. Instead, they charge customers up-front. They also accept HSA and FSA as payment.

The RedBox Rx framework is similar to a regular doctor’s appointment except that it’s all virtual (which, in 2023, qualifies as a regular doctor’s appointment). You’ll choose which condition or symptoms you need treated and answer questions regarding these conditions. From there, RedBox Rx will connect you with a medical provider to assess your needs and develop a plan.

If the provider prescribes you treatment then you’ll receive it in the mail with free shipping through USPS First Class Mail. 

Price-wise, consultations can cost as little as $0 and as much as $69. I wasn’t able to get an accurate prediction for medication costs for this RedBox Rx review, but I found that the company buys medications directly from US manufacturers thus saving money on your end.

RedBox Rx can help men deal with two common health issues that exclusively affect men; erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. They can prescribe medications for as low as $2 per dose. These medications include:

RedBox Rx ADHD adult care is available alongside treatments and providers trained to work with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, and performance anxiety. For ADHD, their team can prescribe atomoxetine for $20 a month.

Depression and anxiety medication can start for as low as $20 a month. RedBox Rx offers generic versions of big-name brands. You’ll find citalopram, sertraline, duloxetine, and more through their professionals. 

Who Is RedBox Rx For? 

The services laid out in this RedBox Rx review reveal that the service is best for customers who need specific and immediate medical attention. This isn’t in an emergency care sense but in a manner that replaces what a walk-in clinic provides. 

It’s also an ideal service for people without medical insurance because RedBox Rx does not accept insurance. 

RedBox Rx Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

There were very few RedBox Rx reviews online as of May 2023. In fact, most searches generated results for RedBox the movie rental service rather than this company. However, what I did find painted an overall positive reception of the brand.

Here’s a customer RedBox Rx review a customer penned on Better Business Bureau:

“I started using Redbox RX in August 2022. I take a nonstimulant ADHD medication. Redbox has made it sooo much easier to get my meds. I basically found this site just searching for it online. I signed up and within minutes was having a chat consultation with a friendly medical professional – same questions I would get in person at an office. Got my prescription and ordered delivery. Very affordable and no insurance needed.”

The only aggregate RedBox Rx review score I found was on Google. Three customers gave the brand an average score of 5/5 stars. One such customer praised the depth of the appointment. They wrote, 

“I filled out a questionnaire, and was almost immediately connected with a provider via videochat. He asked a lot of questions, discussed medication side effects, got to know me, went over concerns and what I need to do besides taking the medication. I felt like I was in a doctor’s office with a provider that cared and listened. I was then sent 3 mo supply of my medicine + 1 refill but can schedule a visit if I need dose increased or not working at any time I need.”

Negative RedBox Rx reviews primarily came from customers who did not receive a prescription even after paying the consultation fee. While I understand this is disappointing, prescription medications are given out on a by-need basis. Plus, RedBox Rx does not guarantee that all patients will receive medications. 

Allow me to wrap up this section of my RedBox Rx review with another comment that the customer from Better Business Bureau wrote:

“Very affordable and no insurance needed. It’s linked to a very reputable brand, Hyvee. This has taken a lot of the stress out of getting medication! Also shipping is really fast and customer service is excellent. You email them questions/requests and they are on top of it. Great service and highly recommend!”

RedBox Rx vs. Maple 

Maple is another healthcare company that offers services similar to those outlined in this RedBox Rx review. However, there are a few key differences.

Maple is an app-based service whereas RedBox Rx is entirely on desktop. Additionally, Maple offers membership and is only active in Canada whereas RedBox Rx has no membership fees and works primarily in the United States.
