About Roc Skincare

Roc Skincare Review

The beauty industry is constantly evolving and coming up with new formulas that hydrate and prevent signs of aging. This includes brands like Roc that specialize in antiaging formulations, and they’re most known for their retinol products.

Aging is natural, and we all go through it. Wrinkles, graying hair, and some sagging are things that we will all experience. But, just because it’s a universal experience doesn’t mean it’s not difficult. The physical aspects of aging can be a source of lower self-confidence[1]. If that’s the case for you, a skincare product, like those offered by Roc, could help you out.

Roc products are available in many drugstores and retailers. They’ve even been featured in Marie Claire and have been used by celebrities like Kim Kardashian. The dermatologist-recommended brand also has a decent following on social media, with 118k followers on Instagram alone.

Are you in the market for some new skincare products? If so, this Roc skincare review was written for you. Read on as I take a deep dive into the company, its bestselling products, customer reviews, and more to help you decide if their products are worth adding to your routine.

Overview of Roc Skincare

Roc Skincare Review

Roc was founded by Dr. Jean-Charles Lissarague in 1957, who is credited for creating the first hypoallergenic skincare formulas. The French pharmacist aimed to help women look and feel their best through scientific skincare solutions.

This continues to be Roc’s core mission. It was the first company to successfully stabilize retinol enough to sell it over the counter. It combined the anti-aging ingredient with Vitamin E and created an innovative product for daily use.

Roc is now a global brand that’s known for its effectiveness, and clinically tested products. Their 75 product lineup is sold in the US, Europe, and Latin America.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find much more information about the brand. But I did discover that its headquarters is now based in Manhattan, New York.

Before I get further into this Roc skincare review, let’s go over some highlights:

Highlights:

  • Sells a wide range of anti-aging products
  • Award-winning company with a good reputation
  • Sold by many retailers worldwide

Roc Retinol Review

First up, we’ll look at the popular Roc retinol products. This Vitamin A derivative helps brighten[2] dull skin, reduce signs of aging[3] caused by sun damage, among a few other benefits.

Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream Review

Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream Review
Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream

The Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream does all the work while you get your beauty sleep. It’s made with Roc’s award-winning retinol, and the brand claims that you’ll wake up to firm, glowing skin.

According to the Roc’s website, clinical studies have shown that it  reduces up to 50% of wrinkles, however I could not find this research to read it for myself

As I mentioned, using retinol can help reduce aging signs. In addition, when used daily or nightly as the Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream, fine lines[4] will become less noticeable. The company even claims that it can help smooth out the deepest wrinkles.

To get the best results, apply the Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream every other night and then increase the frequency as your skin adjusts. Then, make sure to apply sunscreen the following day to really reap the benefits and, of course, protect your skin[5]

This night cream retails for $25.

Roc Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules Review

Roc Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules Review
Roc Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules

Next up are the Roc Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules. The brand claims that this retinol serum can  reduce lines and wrinkles in one night. Made with a high concentration of the miracle ingredient and antioxidants, it’s also tightly sealed in capsules to keep it fresh and effective.

We know what retinol does for our skin, but what about antioxidants? Well, antioxidants help to protect your cells against damage caused by free radicals[6]. UV rays[7] from the sun can increase the amount of free radicals in the body, thus damaging your skin cells. So, antioxidants can help to fight against this!

The Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules are entirely biodegradable and fragrance-free. So, aside from smoothing and hydrating your skin, the packaging is environmentally friendly. That sounds like a win-win to me.

You can use the Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules at night after cleansing and toning. Just gently twist open the capsule and apply it to your neck and face.

These serum capsules will cost $33 to add to your cart.

Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler Serum Review

Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler Serum Review
Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler Serum

The Roc Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler Serum is, of course, another antiaging product. It does double duty, since it contains retinol and hyaluronic acid to keep the skin looking plump and hydrated. Hyaluronic acid[8] has been shown to stimulate collagen, thereby rejuvenating your skin. It’ll even assist in reducing fine lines and crows’ feet.

Hyaluronic acid is known for working quickly and effectively. You’ll begin to see hydrating results immediately after applying the serum. And with frequent use, Roc claims it’ll diminish the appearance of wrinkles.

After cleansing and toning, you can apply this serum in small dots onto your face and neck. Rub it into the skin until it’s totally absorbed. As I mentioned, it can take time for your skin to adjust to retinol. Start by applying it a few days a week and slowly increase the usage.

The Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler Serum costs $24

Roc Eye Cream Review

The next best-sellers in this Roc Skincare review are their eye creams. This is another line of defense that will help diminish and prevent fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area.

Roc Retinol Correxion Eye Cream

The Roc Retinol Correxion Eye Cream tackles puffiness, wrinkles, and dark undereye circles all with one cream. Roc claims that it makes your eyes look 10 years younger, depuffs your eyes in a month, and reduces fine lines within three months.

One study[9] showed that an under-eye cream containing retinol successfully reduced dark circles and wrinkles.

This Roc eye cream is hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. So, with proper use, you could have a radiant complexion. Apply it around the eye area and, without tugging, smooth it into the skin until absorbed. You can incorporate this eye cream into your morning and nightly skincare routine.
The Retinol Correxion Eye Cream costs $25. Like the other retinol products, it’ll take time to adjust. So, make sure to gradually introduce it into your skincare routine.

Roc Multi Correxion Hydrate & Plump Eye Cream Review

Roc Multi Correxion Hydrate & Plump Eye Cream Review
Roc Multi Correxion Hydrate & Plump Eye Cream

The last eye cream in this review is the Roc Multi Correxion Hydrate & Plump Eye Cream. The main ingredient in this product is hyaluronic acid, so you know it’ll hydrate and firm up the delicate eye area. Peptides are another addition that’ll help with firming while caffeine brightens and takes care of puffy morning eyes.

Formal studies looking at the benefit of peptides for reducing the signs of skin aging are lacking, especially since it’s a relatively new concept in the skincare field, however, anecdotal evidence[10] suggests it can be helpful. One study[11], in particular, has shown that caffeine can effectively reduce eye puffiness.

An eye cream can be applied before applying your moisturizer and sunscreen for the day. Of course, it can also be used at night just before putting on your moisturizer. Like the Retinol Correxion Eye Cream, you can apply the Multi Correxion Hydrate & Plump Eye Cream around the eye area in dots.

This eye cream costs $26. Since there’s no retinol, you can use it as often as you’d like. This Roc skincare review recommends applying it onto a damp face to let the hyaluronic acid really soak in.

Roc Vitamin C Serum Review

Last up are the popular Roc Vitamin C serums. Vitamin C[12] is a great daily essential that brightens the skin, protects against sun damage, and more. So, let’s get into it!

Roc Multi Correxion Revive And Glow Daily Serum Review

Roc Multi Correxion Revive And Glow Daily Serum Review
Roc Multi Correxion Revive And Glow Daily Serum

The Roc Multi Correxion Revive and Glow Daily Serum tightens the skin and provides visible results in about a month. The 10% Vitamin C Blend in Roc’s serum is their most potent ingredient. It’s combined with peptides and hydrators for higher effectiveness.

This serum is lightweight and, as the name suggests, suitable for everyday use. If you stay consistent, the serum can also help fight free radicals and reduce hyperpigmentation in the long term. Basically, it can help to even out your skin tone if you have any discoloration.

Roc suggests applying 4–6 drops of the Multi Correxion Revive and Glow Daily Serum after cleansing and before applying moisturizer. They also recommend using sunscreen afterward.

You can buy this Vitamin C serum for $32.

This Multi Correxion cream will lock in the serum treatment while also delivering 24-hour hydration

Who Is Roc Skincare For?

Roc Skincare Review

Roc’s target demographic is mainly older women looking to add some glow to their complexion. But, there’s no real set time on using things like Vitamin C or retinol. Some dermatologists recommend using it in your mid-twenties to thirties, as collagen levels start to decrease during this stage of life.

Roc Skincare Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Roc Skincare Review

Now that you know about my featured brand’s bestsellers, this Roc Skincare review is moving on to the fun part: the customer feedback. I found ratings on the brand’s main website, Influenster, and Makeup Alley.

There are a few critical comments, which I will cover later. Here are the average ratings for the products I’ve reviewed:

  • Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream: 3.9/5 stars based on 260 reviews
  • Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules: 4.8/5 stars based on 205 reviews
  • Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler Serum: 4.5/5 stars based on 195 reviews
  • Retinol Correxion Eye Cream: 4.6/5 stars based on 1.9k reviews
  • Multi Correxion Hydrate & Plump Eye Cream: 4.6/5 stars based on 105 reviews
  • Multi Correxion Revive and Glow Daily Serum: 4.7/5 stars based on 829 reviews

The Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream is well-received on Roc’s main site. One reviewer wrote this positive comment: “I used this for over 3 weeks now, and yes. There are good changes. Did not see improvement like this with more expensive products.”

The product also receives praise on MakeupAlley. On this site, it has a 3.6/5 star rating. One happy customer wrote this review: “I’m in my late 20s and started to notice my under eye fine lines and deep wrinkles around my neck a lot. So recently, I’ve been trying out many wrinkle eye creams, but there is nothing better than this one so far!”

The Multi Correxion Hydrate & Plump Eye Cream also gets a lot of love on the company’s website. One customer left this rave review: “I have only been using this product for 2 weeks. I have used Roc products for several years. My skin has stayed fresh with very few deep wrinkles. I trust Roc products and will continue to use them in my routine skincare regimen!”

Of course, the Multi Correxion Revive and Glow Daily Serum is loved, too. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it: “The serum improved my skin noticeably in less than a week. My skin looked renewed, smooth, and hydrated without makeup!”

Additionally, the serum has a 4.1/5 stars rating on Influenster. A beauty junkie wrote this comment: “The product smells so bright and clean and totally gives my skin instant glow. It’s not sticky or oily. It’s very sheer, and a little goes a long way. It’s quick to absorb and leaves my skin feeling great.”

As I mentioned, this Roc skincare review also found a few criticisms. For example, the Multi Correxion Revive Glow Serum felt heavy and greasy for some customers. But, of course, beauty products aren’t one size fits all, and that’s fine.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any reviews about the company’s customer service so it might be safe to assume that people are satisfied with these services.

Is Roc Skincare Worth It?

Roc Skincare Review

Anti-aging treatments have been a part of the skincare industry for years. Obviously, Roc Skincare was one of the movement’s pioneers and successfully created products that worked.

After researching for this Roc Skincare review, we think the anti-aging skincare brand is definitely worth checking out. Their products are reasonably priced, and based on customer ratings, they provide actual results. But, unfortunately, the brand is not cruelty-free, and this may turn some people away.

As we know, not all beauty products work for everyone. And how effective a product is can depend on your skin type and sensitivities. So, the more critical reviews may not apply to you at all.If you live in the US, you can buy Roc’s skincare products from their website, rocskincare.com.
