About Simplifi by Quicken

Simplifi by Quicken Review

The solution to most of life’s problems is often to simplify things, and that includes finance. Thankfully, there are apps like Simplifi by Quicken that make the whole financial process painless and enjoyable.

This brand is well-known in the finance industry, with a financial network of more than 14k institutions. While the brand only has 3k Instagram followers, its mobile app has earned thousands of positive customer reviews on both the iTunes and Google Play Store. That’s where I will be focusing today.

In my Simplifi by Quicken review, I will give you the low-down on how the app works, who it’s for, and what customers think about it. Let’s dive in.

Overview of Simplifi by Quicken

Most people often wonder why money has to be so complicated, and Simplifi by Quicken lets us know that it doesn’t have to be. The app’s intuitive interface and multi-faceted features allow users to obtain a deeper understanding of the way their money flows in and out of their spending and savings accounts.

It works through simple and easy-to-read frameworks that you can customize to your liking. Quicken, a personal finance software developer, made Simplifi their entry into the mobile spending market, bringing their 30+ years of financial expertise to the table.

The next segment of my Simplifi by Quicken review will go over some of the service’s highlights.

Highlights

  • Deep well of customizable features
  • Only $4 per month
  • Free 30-day trial
  • App is available on iOS and Android
  • Works with more than 14k financial institutions

Simplifi by Quicken Features Review

The meat and potatoes of my Simplifi by Quicken review will focus on the service’s features. In a nutshell, they can help you turn your finances into a sort of game. Rather than fret about overspending or not saving enough, Simplifi by Quicken’s roster of features can make financial management simple.

Here’s what the service offers:

  • A complete overview of all your finances from all of your accounts.
  • The ability to set savings goals which the app will track your progress towards.
  • Builds a budgeting plan based on your monthly income and savings amounts.
  • Built-in analyses of your finances.
  • Live tracking your investments’ growth.
  • The ability to customize and categorize your transactions.
  • Alerts for payments or deposits.
  • Projected cash flows (i.e. where you can expect your balances to line up in the future given your current habits).
  • Watchlists to help you track spending on certain categories of purchases.

The idea that you should take away is that the service is much more than just a spending tracker. It’s an intelligent program that you can personalize to suit your needs.

You can tailor it to help you save more money, reduce overall spending, put your money towards life-long goals, and even get a better idea of what’s eating away at your paycheck.

Simplifi by Quicken App Review

Decades ago, all the information that you get from Simplifi by Quicken would’ve been restricted to a financial advisor. You would’ve had to speak with someone in person to see where your money is going and change your financial trajectory for the better.

Thankfully, we live in the 21st Century, and we barely have to talk with anyone face-to-face. The Simplifi by Quicken app takes all of that insight and puts it in the palm of your hand.

In one Simplifi by Quicken review I found, one user summed it up best: “I was obsessed with Simplifi for a few days when I started with it. It’s a game-changer. The features – transactions, watch lists, reports, savings goals, and spending plans – especially the spending plan – are intuitive. All the ways I would think I’d want to understand my money are all here.”

Never before have we been able to access everything about our money so easily. This app gives you everything you would want to know about your finances all in a convenient package. But how does it work exactly?

How Does Simplifi by Quicken Work?

Living up to its name, Simplifi by Quicken is simple. You’ll first enter your payment information, which can come in the form of:

  1. Credit Cards
  2. Debit Cards
  3. Paypal Accounts

After that, you’ll create your account. This is a fairly standard process as you enter all of the information the app needs to keep track of your spending and saving.

Once your profile is up and running then you can reap the rewards of a Simplifi by Quicken account. The process really is that easy.

Simplifi by Quicken Fees

Simplifi by Quicken starts with an incredibly low fee of $0. Your first 30 days of using the service are completely free so you can get a handle on whether or not you like it.

You’ll have to enter your credit card or Paypal information first, but Simplifi by Quicken will not withdraw any money until those 30 days are up.

After that, the service costs just under $4 per month. Simplifi by Quicken bills this amount annually at $43.

You can also sign up for monthly payments, but you’ll end up paying more than you would for the annual membership. If you use Simplifi by Quicken on a month-to-month basis, then it’ll cost you $6 per month.

Who Is Simplifi by Quicken For?

At this point in my Simplifi by Quicken review, you should know that this service is useful to more than just those who need to fix their spending habits. It’s a great tool to help you allocate funds to long-term goals.

Oh, and since inflation is hitting us like Mike Tyson’s punches, apps like Simplifi by Quicken are only going to be more useful as we have to start pinching our pennies that much harder.

Simplifi by Quicken Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

To get a full picture of what using this app for a long period of time is really like, I turned to the internet. I looked for some Simplifi by Quicken reviews to do just that. Here are some average scores that customers granted the service:

  • Apple App Store: 4.1/5 stars, 1.5k reviews
  • Trustpilot: 4/5 stars, 5.1k reviews
  • Google Play Store: 2.8/5 stars, 1k reviews

These numbers represent an overall positive reception of the company, though there were some minor grievances. I’ll get to those later, so let’s start with what buyers loved about Simplifi by Quicken!

In general, customers loved the app’s approach and functionality, delivering on its concept. As one buyer wrote:

“I’ve tried so many budgeting apps. They all suck for one reason or another. A big problem is syncing reliably with your financial institutions. Another problem is limited budgeting customization. I could list several other problems, but the point is that Simplifi solves them all, and it’s 4 bucks per month.”

The app’s robustness was frequently mentioned in Simplifi by Quicken reviews I found online. Many people favorably compared it to other financial tracking apps, saying that the service was more complete and informative than other similar apps. As one buyer wrote: “It’s a complete solution. Pulls all your accounts in one place.”

They expanded: “Tracks all your bills, even the annual ones. Calendars your pay and bills so you can see your estimated balance on any given day. You can set lots of savings goals in one account, so you don’t have to open different savings accounts for each saving goal. I recommend this app. Has lots of features but the layout is simple and easy to read.”

The overall affordability of Simplifi by Quicken was praised too. As that one customer review pointed out, it’s only $4 per month, which is a very fair price when you consider everything that the service offers. Other users felt the same way, saying that even when they used Simplifi by Quicken in just a few ways, they still felt it was worth the money.

There were some negative Simplifi by Quicken reviews that came from the Google Play Store, though they were more concerned about the app’s optimization rather than its features. A few users said that the app was slow or crashed, but these are problems that Quicken’s user experience team will likely rectify in future updates.

I’ll wrap up this section with one final Simplifi by Quicken review: “Simple and easy to use, keeps track of all financial transactions at all levels. We’ve been using Quicken for many years, it has kept up with all our self-employed bookkeeping needs. We would highly recommend Quicken to anyone.”

Is Simplifi by Quicken Legit?

I couldn’t find anything that made my hairs stand up on edge with Simplifi by Quicken. There weren’t any customer testimonials about malpractice, so it’s safe to say that the brand is legit. Plus, they have over three decades of experience in the market.

Is Simplifi by Quicken Worth It?

If you only had to pay $4 a month for an automatic service that shows you where your money is going and how you can fix your careless spending, would you say it’s worth it? I certainly think so.

Simplifi by Quicken Promotions & Discounts

Sadly, I wasn’t able to find any Simplifi by Quicken promotions that extended beyond Black Friday.
