About Stinger Off-Road
You’d probably imagine installing new tires or toying with the engine when you think about fixing your truck. I don’t blame you since those adjustments have tangible effects on the truck’s performance.
However, it’s possible to play with your truck’s aesthetics too, and I’m not talking about spray painting decals onto the side doors. I’m talking about sound systems, lighting, and safety systems, which are the three things Stinger Off-Road specializes in.
They’re Jeep lovers with a simple goal; “We design and engineer technology that makes your Jeep adventures more fun!” You could say they’ve drunk the Jeep Kool-Aid, but at least they sharing some with the rest of the world.
Stinger Off-Road is a subsidiary of Stinger Electronics, a brand that creates batteries, lights, and audio systems for vehicles. However, the Off-Road branch focuses on Jeeps, trucks, and more!
Currently, they boast more than 13k followers on Instagram, but it’s worth asking what their products and services are like. That’s what I will examine in this Stinger Off-Road review by looking at their best-selling items, prices, customer reception, and more. First, let’s talk about a few of their best features.
Highlights
- Develops audio customization kits for Jeeps and trucks
- Free shipping on most items over $399
- Carries brands like Stinger, Pac, Echomaster, and AudioControl
- Tons of guides on YouTube to help with the installation process

Why You Should Trust Us
Our mission is to help you make better, more informed purchase decisions.
Our team spends hours researching, consulting with medical experts, gathering insight from expert professionals, reviewing customer feedback, and analyzing products to provide you with the information you need.
Stinger Off-Road Car Stereos
Arguably Stinger Off-Road’s most popular items are their audio equipment.
That makes sense when you think about it – you can’t increase the size of your Jeep, but you can make it sound louder. That’s why I’m going to cover a few of Stinger Off-Road’s shiniest, loudest, and most bass-boosting devices.
Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JK 10″ Radio
Comparing the standard radio that comes with a Jeep Wrangler to the Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JK 10″ Radio is the literal representation of “you versus the guy she tells you not to worry about.”
What can a regular radio do, play FM music through its antiquated interface? That’s cute. However, this upgraded radio can do the following:
- Provide a full media center with Sirium-XM capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto built-in
- House a 10“ touchscreen with 1024 by 600 resolution
- Jeep-specific information like off-road data, drivetrain, and more
- GPS navigation
Regularly, an overhaul like this costs $1,790, but you can pick it up on sale for $1,599.
Customers say: “ Incredible upgrade. Blows the factory radio out of the water.”
Stinger Off-Road RAM Truck 10″ Radio
The next item in my Stinger Off-Road review comes with many of the same perks as the previous item, including a 10” 1024 by 600 touchscreen, HDMI input, compatibility with most wireless media, and integrated GPS navigation.
As you can tell by its name, the difference is that the Stinger Off-Road RAM Truck 10″ Radio is for RAM trucks.
What’s nice about this radio system is that it keeps the best RAM features intact. Your steering wheel controls, OEM camera, and USB ports should remain even after installing the Stinger Off-Road RAM Truck 10″ Radio.
It’s also adept at providing up-to-date updates on your vehicle’s performance. You can measure tire pressure, engine status, 0-60mph performance, oil temperature, and more.
The Stinger Off-Road RAM Truck 10″ Radio is also more affordable than Stinger Off-Road’s Jeep counterpart, coming in at $1,489.
Customers say: “I haven’t changed a radio in 10+ years and I was able to handle this install rather easily by myself… Now that I can use it I’m blown away by what this product actually does. I retained everything factory from my truck like it’s advertised. The instructions you receive and the install video on YouTube are so helpful. I couldn’t recommend this product enough.”
Stinger Off-Road Ford F150 6″ Radio
Just because your truck is “Built Ford Tough” doesn’t mean it needs to be “Built Boring.” Inject some swagger into its veins with the Stinger Off-Road Ford F150 6″ Radio.
It boasts Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth, a powerful USB charger, four 50w amplifiers, and rear camera input.
The 6.8” touch screen allows you to use your phone while driving. You can check messages, change your music, or even order DoorDash. Thankfully, it won’t replace any of the core features of your Ford F150, like steering wheel controls.
One last feature I love about the Stinger Off-Road Ford F150 6″ Radio is that it can enhance your rearview camera by adding guiding lines.
They’ll give you a more accurate idea of how close you are to the curb or the car behind you. This is feature modernizes older Ford F150s that released before the advent of this technology.
This is the second item in my Stinger Off-Road review that’s on sale. It normally costs $599 but you can pick it up now for $399.
Customers say: “Really liked the quality of all items in the bundle. Directions were a little confusing however, after speaking with tech issues resolved. Overall, excellent experience.”
Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JL 10″ Radio
Many of the other products I’ve spoken about thus far have decently high barriers to entry when it comes to installation, but that’s not the case with the Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JL 10″ Radio. It advertises itself as a “plug-and-play” upgrade, alluding to its easy installation.
The Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JL 10″ Radio is specifically built for Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT models.
It packages many standard Stinger Off-Road features like a 10” touchscreen, compatibility with nearly all forms of wireless communication, Jeep OEM characteristics, and more.
The entire Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JL 10″ Radio costs $1,599.
Customers say: “The Heigh10 has been everything I expected so far and the instructions were easy to follow. They aren’t lying when saying it’s cramped behind the dash to fit the wires. Truly plug and play though!”
Stinger Off-Road Ready-to-Install Bass Packages
There’s no reason for you to keep your music inside your vehicle. If you love Kenny Chesney, then the world deserves to know you love him too, and luckily, Stinger Off-Road has a variety of ready-to-install bass packages that can transform your truck into a boombox on wheels. Going forward, I’ll look at one of the most popular items in this category.
Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited 12″ Subwoofer
The Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited 12″ Subwoofer can power your vehicle as if it’s sitting in the front row at a Skrillex concert. It mounts right onto your swing gate, meaning it can blast bass from the deepest bowels of your vehicle.
The 800-watt subwoofer can install into Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU models. It comes with weatherproofing measures, which are pretty vital since it attaches to the swing gate.
Regularly, this subwoofer costs $1,200, but you can grab it at a steal of a price for $700. That’s nearly 45% off!
Customers say: “Everything fit great except the plate to mount the amp is for a JKU and my order was for a JK. It didn’t fit. So I had to set it on the floor. That’s my only complaint.“
Who Is Stinger Off-Road For?
The key audience for Stinger Off-Road is obvious; it’s Jeep and truck owners. None of the company’s products are built for cars, so if you own a Toyota Camry, you’d want to look elsewhere.
Stinger Off-Road Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Let’s turn our attention to what customers said in their Stinger Off-Road reviews, beginning with the average ratings available on the brand’s website.
- Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited 12″ Subwoofer: 5/5 stars based on one rating
- Stinger Off-Road Ford F150 6″ Radio: 4.9/5 stars based on more than 10 ratings
- Stinger Off-Road Jeep Wrangler JL 10″ Radio: 4.8/5 stars based on more than 45 ratings

Those numbers represent how most customers felt about Stinger Off-Road. Not only did the products live up to the hype, but the company’s team was incredibly helpful.
As one customer put it, “installation today at GSMJI went well even with few curve balls thrown at installation crew they got it handled. Can’t say enough on the customer service and communication with Mike and his crew. Great job and product guys.”
Unfortunately, there weren’t many other Stinger Off-Road reviews besides those on the brand’s site. Stinger Off-Road held a 3/5 stars average score on Facebook based on nine customer reviews, but that was pretty much the only other place with buyer testimonials.
If there were any gripes in Stinger Off-Road reviews, it concerned the difficulty with installation. The audio systems were tricky to set up and the instructions weren’t clear to some buyers. However, these same buyers said Stinger Off-Road was more than willing to help them.
“I bought the Stinger Offroad 6.8″ radio and installation kit so I would have everything to install into 2011 F150. Took about 3 hours to install and had a wiring question so I called the tech line and I talked to a real person and got all my questions answer quickly. Great radio, kit and awesome tech help. Excellent value for the money,” added one customer.
The sound quality of most Stinger Off-Road products was considered to be a massive upgrade over the factory default, at least in the eyes of customers.
One shopper wrote the following about the Stinger Off-Road RAM Truck (2013-2018) HEIGH10 10″ Touchscreen Radio Plug-and-Play Replacement Kit with Integrated Vehicle:
“Love the large screen, menus are excellent, sound is better than the factory unit. Android auto and Bluetooth phone is simple setup and word great. Vehicle info and gauges are very useful as well. I added the Sirusxm receiver and it works great as well. The installation took longer than expected, but instructions were clear and connections were made with ease.”
Overall, Stinger Off-Road reviews praised the devices as worthwhile upgrades to their vehicles, even if the installation was a bit cumbersome.
I’ll wrap things up with a final word on the Stinger Off-Road RB10JK11B HEIGH10 Digital Multimedia Receiver for 11-18 Jeep Wrangler JK from a shopper on Quadtrec:
“This jumbotron is one of the best upgrades I’ve made to the Jeep. You spend most your time inside the vehicle, so I think it’s worth spending a little more on something you interact with every day.”
Is Stinger Off-Road Legit?

Honestly, the items in this Stinger Off-Road review prove their worth by not impeding on the basic functionality of your vehicle.
They don’t replace any OEM features, instead improving upon the foundation of lifestyle features. As such, their multi-media advancements are worthwhile for anyone looking to personalize their truck.
How To Choose The Best Product from Stinger Off-Road
Consider these factors while shopping around Stinger Off-Road:
