Overview Of Typology Skincare

Typology Skincare Review

Typology is a new brand that launched in 2019. The brand’s founder, Ning Li, wanted to “create a radical new skincare brand” that went directly to customers with simple, high-quality ingredients. The online-only approach also allows for accessible pricing.

Based in Paris, France, Typology is committed to sustainability. Its formulas are completely French and packaged in environmentally-friendly glass and recyclable plastic containers. Additionally, Typology is a B-Corp Certified brand committed to being socially and environmentally responsible.

It intends to make skincare easy, effective, and accessible. Creating your skincare routine involves a lot of trial and error, and demystifying the skincare industry can help you craft the regimen of your dreams.

Typology Skincare Review

Skincare ingredients and science can be daunting. Fortunately, the most wanted Typology products can help make your skincare regimen easy. Let’s look at some serums and moisturizers to get you started! For this Typology skincare review, I have rounded up some of the brand’s bestsellers below.

Typology Skincare Tinted Serum Vitamin C Squalane & Aloe Vera Review

There are days when a light makeup look is all you need. The Tinted Serum with Vitamin C, Squalane, and Aloe Vera offers some light coverage along with a hydrating and brightening treatment.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant known to help brighten your skin. It can also reduce pigmentation and is made to penetrate the skin. In other words, your makeup look will be radiant and nutritious for your skin. Plus, you’ll get extra hydration from the added squalane and Aloe Vera.

This 99% naturally derived tinted serum retails for $38. If you’re in-between shades, the brand recommends choosing two serums to mix together, and you’ll get the second one for half price

Typology Skincare Radiance Serum 11% Vitamin C Review

As I mentioned, Vitamin C is a beneficial ingredient to include in your skincare routine. That’s why the Radiance Serum 11% Vitamin C is next up in this Typology skincare review. This brightening, active ingredient can wake up tired skin, making it an optional staple in your morning regimen.

The company ensures that this product is suitable for all skin types. It can fight against any potential skin stressors and even reduce the look of pores. I’d suggest applying it before any other serums and after cleansing.

The Radiance Serum 11% Vitamin C will cost $34 to add to your cart.

Typology Skincare 9-Ingredient Face Moisturizer Review

The 9-Ingredient Face Moisturizer doesn’t play any games. The minimalist, fragrance-free moisturizer is excellent for all skin types (including sensitive skin!). It’s made with hydrating, moisturizing, and lightweight ingredients.

The star ingredient is hyaluronic acid. It’s derived from fermented wheat and helps with collagen production. Basically, it makes your skin look plump and works best when applied after serums.

This moisturizer retails for $27.

Typology Skincare Plumping Serum 3% Hyaluronic Acid + 2% B5 Review

Last up in this Typology skincare review is the Plumping Serum with 3% Hyaluronic Acid + 2% B5. By now, you have an idea of how hyaluronic acid works. This serum promotes hydrated skin and is 94% naturally derived

As the name suggests, the serum also includes Pro-Vitamin B5. Like hyaluronic acid, it’s able to retain the skin’s moisture and assist with regeneration. In addition, it’s a soothing and repairing ingredient that makes your skin feel soft to the touch. The combination also makes for the ultimate hydration duo.

The Plumping Serum will cost you $34

Who Is Typology Skincare For?

Typology Skincare Review

Typology skincare emphasizes that its products are for everyone. There’s no guesswork required since it makes efforts to demystify ingredients and explain what they do to your skin.

So, its products are both accessible and effective. The brand is also cruelty-free and vegan, so it’s an excellent choice for vegan and eco-conscious customers.

Is Typology Skincare Good For Sensitive Skin?

Typology Skincare Review

Typology claims that its skincare products are gentle enough for all skin types. Many ingredients are sourced responsibly and are mainly naturally derived. Without the use of additives, Typology’s products are safe for sensitive skin. But, I suggest patch testing your products on your arm before applying them to your face!

Typology Skincare Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Typology Skincare Review

Now we’ve come to the fun part of this Typology skincare review—the customer feedback. I searched the internet for testimonials to help you make an informed shopping decision. I found ratings from the main website and Trustpilot during our research.

The reviews are mainly positive, with a few criticisms that we’ll discuss later. Here are the average ratings from the main site for our featured products:

  • Tinted Serum Vitamin C, Squalane & Aloe Vera: 4.3/5 stars from 1.09k reviews
  • Radiance Serum 11% Vitamin C: 4.4/5 stars from 1.29k reviews
  • 9-Ingredient Face Moisturizer: 4.4/5 stars from 1.66k reviews
  • Plumping Serum 3% Hyaluronic Acid + 2% B5: 4.1/5 stars from 1.39k reviews

The Tinted Serum receives a lot of love. One customer wrote this glowing review:

Serum and light foundation in one go. I like how it subtly covers the variances in the color of the skin yet stays natural and gives that glowy and healthy skin type effect. In addition, it has Vitamin C in it, so it’s super great.”

Honestly, it sounds like a dream to apply. Another reviewer wrote an enthusiastic review about the serum:

I absolutely love this serum! It looks so natural and does not make my oily skin look sweaty! It only takes 10 minutes to do my makeup with this serum. It literally looks like I’m wearing a real-life filter! I just throw on some mascara and liquid blush and go!”

A quick beauty routine is a dream beauty routine. So, of course, the 9-Ingredient Face Moisturizer gets praised too.

One customer had this to say: “this is one of my favorite facial creams I’ve used! Easy packaging, light texture, has a light and fresh smell (which I like) and absorbs well. I love using it during the day under my makeup.”

As I’ve mentioned, Trustpilot also has some rave Typology Skincare reviews. The company has a “Great” rating on the site, with 4.2/5 stars from 58 reviews.

On Trustpilot, this shopper couldn’t say enough great things about the brand: “I love these products. They are so affordable and so beautifully designed. […] Their online diagnostic works a treat. I suffer from dry skin and the products that I have bought have helped rehydrate my skin. And they look, feel and smell amazing.”

The majority of these Trustpilot reviews are in French. Still, most of these consumers love the company and leave 5-star ratings. That said, there are some criticisms about the products not being as effective as advertised. But, everyone’s skin is different, and no product is one-size-fits-all.

Is Typology Skincare Legit?

Typology Skincare Review

From the customer reviews I’ve seen, it seems like Typology is a legit company. There aren’t many red flags regarding its shipping or customer service. And as I’ve said, some customers didn’t have the best results, but this can differ from person to person.

Is Typology Skincare Worth It?
