A proper-fitting pair of denim is every person’s dream. They’re versatile and timeless, and it’s a huge bonus if they’re sustainably made. Well, let us introduce AG Jeans, a premium denim and knitwear company focused on environmentally responsible manufacturing.

The jean brand is still growing, but they’ve definitely seen some success. Their Instagram page has about 156k followers, and they’ve been featured in media outlets like Forbes and Marie Claire. So I wouldn’t be surprised if you found their items at Nordstrom or Anthropologie.

But is the denim worth all the hype? By the end of this AG Jeans review, I intend to find out. Join me as I take a deep dive into the company’s history, bestsellers, customer reviews, and more, so you can decide if it’s time to make more room in your closet.

Overview of AG Jeans

AG Jeans Review

AG Jeans was founded in 2000 by Adriano Goldschmied and Yul Ku in Los Angeles, California. Goldschmied was hailed as the “Godfather of denim” and was known for creating unique designs. At the same time, Ku constantly pushed for more sustainable production while building the brand.

The company’s approach to more progressive manufacturing places them as one of the pioneers of environmentally conscious designs. They’re also well versed with using Ozone technology and solar energy, among other things.

AG’s current mission is to create items rooted in “denim, craftsmanship, fit, and fabric innovation.” While working with a new market and growing tech, they stay eco-conscious and transparent about their production

The denim brand also leads a sustainable denim movement called AGOODKARMA, which prioritizes advancing AG’s design and manufacturing methods. In collaboration with other partners, it focuses on environmental, social, and economic responsibility

Now that you have more information about the brand, I’m going to steer this AG Jeans review into some highlights:

AG Jeans Mari Rouge Advanced Stretch Denim Review

The Mari Rouge Advanced Stretch Denim can be your next casual Friday go-to. Its high-rise fit offers a flattering silhouette, and the cotton and spandex mix will ensure your comfort during the day. In other words, you won’t be rushing to get out of these jeans at any time.

Nothing looks better with denim than a basic tee, a pair of white shoes, and a timeless peacoat. A dark wash like AG Jean’s Authentic colorway will definitely give off a more refined vibe.

You can get the Mari Rouge Advanced Stretch Denim for about $237

AG Jeans Farrah Skinny Ankle Premiere Stretch Indigo Denim Review

Clearly, skinny jeans are still in with the Farrah Skinny Ankle Premiere Stretch Indigo Denim. These tight jeans feature a specific worn-in wash reminiscent of authentic vintage denim. With another dark wash, you’ll be looking sleek and fashionable in this pair of cropped high-waisted jeans.

The Farrah Skinny Ankle Premiere Denim jeans are 91% cotton, 8% polyester, and 1% spandex. In other words, you’ll have no problems remaining comfortable throughout the day, and feeling restricted in jeans will become a distant memory.

AG Jeans Ex-Boyfriend Slim Daytripper Stretch Denim Review

The last pair of women’s bottoms in this AG Jeans review is the Ex-Boyfriend Slim Daytripper Stretch Denim. These light-wash jeans were also designed to have a vintage look, and they definitely deliver. Designed with a flattering high-rise waist and a slouchy fit, these jeans exude a chilled out vibe.

If you’re still easing into the world of loose-fitting denim, don’t worry. This isn’t too far off from your beloved skinny fit with slight tapering towards the hem. These jeans retail for about $268

AG Jeans Men’s Review

Don’t worry, guys, I didn’t forget about you. The AG Jeans men’s selection is another example of the brand’s commitment to minimalist, ready-to-wear designs.

AG Jeans Everett Sueded Stretch Sateen Review

The Everett Sueded Stretch Sateen features a timeless slim fit and a mid-rise waist. It’s relaxed, classy, and you could even get away with wearing it for business casual days (depending on the wash, of course!).

These jeans are made of a combination of 97% cotton and 3% elastane, allowing for some stretch and a luxe feel. If you’re thinking about adding these jeans to your next job interview, simply throw on a comfy knit and some black loafers or Chelsea boots for some suave energy.

Score the Everett Sueded Stretch Sateen jeans for $225

AG Jeans Graduate Sueded Stretch Sateen Review

For a more tailored look, I’d suggest the AG Jeans Graduate Sueded Stretch Sateen. This slim mid-rise pant features a relaxed fit with a slight taper at the ankle. It has the same material combination as the Everett, so you already know it’ll be an easy fit.

If black isn’t your style, you’re able to choose from multiple different colorways that range from light gray, beige to burgundy, or thyme green. Regardless of the wash, these pants are suitable for any occasion. It’ll look great paired with any basic tee or dress shirt—whatever suits your fancy.

You can get the Graduate Sueded Stretch Sateen for about $225

Last up in this AG Jeans review are the Tellis 360° Denim pants. These modern jeans feature all-direction stretch and maximum comfort with materials like cotton and polyurethane. It also has a fitted upper block and a slight crop at the ankles.

These dark wash jeans will go with anything you wear. They’re an excellent base for putting together your outfit. Basically, you can wear the Tellis with a graphic tee or a plain shirt, and you can still look good.

Sizes range between 28 and 42, and you’ll be able to choose from five different washes. So, add the Tellis 360° Denim to your bag for $237

Who Is AG Jeans For?

AG Jeans Review

From the company’s Instagram feed, AG Jeans mainly targets adults. Their photos are understated and straightforward, supplemented with simple captions. Their marketing approach mimics their overall brand’s design aesthetic. They stick to classic and clean styles, so their socials reflect that.

With that said, their jeans can be considered expensive, so the collection might be inaccessible to some people. But, professional adults are more likely to invest in pieces from the brand.

Are AG Jeans Sustainable?

AG Jeans Review

AG Jeans is working towards more sustainable pieces. They’ve recently introduced The Jean of Tomorrow, which features a collection of pieces made from traceable organic cotton and hemp. Additionally, each item in the capsule is finished with plant-based materials, featuring environmentally friendly wash-and-dying processes.

AG Jeans Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

AG Jeans Review

As we’re heading towards the end of this AG Jeans review, I’ve got to look at some customer feedback. Even though it’s a reputable brand, there’s a surprising lack of testimonials on the main website. But, I did find a few on SiteJabber, Yelp, and Trustpilot.

There are a few critical comments that I’ll discuss later. Here are the average ratings for the brand on SiteJabber and Yelp:

  • SiteJabber: 3.25/5 stars from 4 reviews
  • Yelp: 4.5/5 stars from 40 reviews

AG Jeans reviews on both sites are optimistic regarding material quality. A SiteJabber user is happy with their purchase, writing, “AG Jeans are seriously cute. […] They are AWESOME! If you want a pair of jean shorts, go check them out RIGHT NOW!”

The company’s New York location gets many rave reviews, too, for both product quality and customer service. One reviewer says, “I have always loved AG Jeans. Whether I’m at my highest or lowest weight, these jeans always look and feel great. It’s like wearing Spanx without having to cover up. They last forever and are well worth the money.”

Customers emphasize AG Jeans’ ability to create true-to-size denim that lasts for years. Other customers found them flattering and comfortable. So comfortable that “you won’t feel like ripping off the minute you get home.”

Despite all of these glowing ratings included in this Jeans review, I found a few critical comments, especially regarding their online customer service and return policy. Fortunately, these complaints are rare compared to the overall amount of praise.

Is AG Jeans Worth It?

AG Jeans Review

To conclude this AG Jeans review, I’ve determined that the brand’s collection is worth taking a look through. Their jeans fit well and come from sustainable production methods. Plus, it’s all organized by category on the website, so finding your next fav pair of cigarette pants or straight trousers will be a breeze.

Regarding customer testimonials, AG Jeans materials always receive praise. These pieces are definitely more expensive than what competing brands offer, but it’ll be worth the cash if they last a long time in your closet!
